Oil Pulling

All I can say is Wow! Oil Pulling really works. My dentist wanted to whiten my teeth,to the tune of $600.00, I refused and told him I had just started oil pulling (he didn't know what it was) and it is suppose to whiten teeth so I would wait to see the results. My husband and I were both amazed. After only 3 days my teeth had whitened at least 4 shades, and my tongue was pink and healthy, the coating disappeared! Along with the ACV treatment for my rheu. arthritis and the oil pull, I feel better and have more energy than I've had in years. When I went to the store to buy the oil I bought Sesame oil (could only find the toasted)and Organic Virgin Olive Oil. When I tried to open the sesame oil it flew out of my hands and broke all over my kitchen floor. So, I used the olive oil and have had all these wonderful results from using it. I am a "new person" thanks to this wonderful site!! Thank you!

I am 21 and have been taking ACV for about a month now and I have noticed a increase in energy especially after I take it. Most of all it made my allergies and fluid build up (around throat and sinus) almost disapper. I swig oragnic pure ACV (with mother) strait from the bottle. I try to ingest only a tablespoon each time. Then rinse my mouth with water (to protect teeth) then drink a big glass of water. I try to do it twice daily. My bother asked my if I had any cough drops when he was at my house not long ago and I said no but you can try some of this ACV. He tryed a little swig and he said it instanly took his sore thoat away. It makes your senses almost come alive, it's the real deal.

Hi, I am in the process of retiring on disability. Last year, my health dramatically declined. My doctor thinks it may be Lyme disease even though I've tested negative. I have been experiencing extreme fatigue and body aches for almost a year now. I started oil pulling about three weeks ago. I'm now only experiencing one or two days per week of extreme fatigue and body aches. For the first time in a year, I feel well enough to tackle the clutter that has built up in my house, I've been organizing and cleaning regularly. I still tire easily, but I am feeling well enough to tackle some pretty big jobs one at a time! Thanks so much for this info. It is really making a difference!

Hello, I've been using the ACV & Baking Soda since June and have been very please with the results. I went from having NO energy, chronic general joint pain all over, excessive weight and acid reflux to feeling about 75% better with a lot more energy, NO chronic general pain and I have lost 20lbs to date and although my acid reflux isn't gone, at least when it flairs up even with meds, I can now get it under control.? I have about 60lbs I would like to still loose.? I would like to stop taking my medication for acid reflux, but I think I need to loose some more weight to.? I think that in conjunction with the ACV and baking soda would do the trick.? I am also on blood pressure medication and would like to see what happens with that to.? I have seen a decrease in my blood pressure since starting the ACV.? It will be interesting to see if my dr removes me for this medication to.? The one thing I was really hoping for with the ACV and baking soda that I haven't seen an improvement in yet is a reduction in my chronic back pain and pinched nerve.? I still have to take something for these two when they flair up.? I have scoliosis and I guess this will be something I will have to address differently.? However, if anyone has any suggestions, please feel free to post or e-mail me.? Over all I am very very please with the results I've had with the ACV and baking soda.? Thanks!

Sun Gazing

To Michael from Washington: I noticed that your post was from 2007, but I hope you'll be reading this. I'd like to know more about the sun-gazing you practice. Sorry if it sounds stupid, but do you mean staring directly at the sun? What time of the day do you do this? For how long each time? I've been battling severe depression for 2 years now & it's putting my life on hold. So I hope you could help by providing more information. Thanks.

EC: Read more about sungazing here: https://www.earthclinic.com/remedies/sun_gazing.html

Budwig diet recommends sungazing - sitting in the sun facing it, eyes shut, getting sun rays on you or out in it 20 mins per day....

Fortunately I have been aware and using remedies from your web site for nearly a yaar. A friend asked what could be done to eliminate diarrhea and I searched earthclinc and fourn turmeric. Upon reading further, I discovered some additional benefits. Most notably after taking less than a tsp the first night, I did not feel drowsy druing the evening. After taking it for three days I noticed a significant reduction in my usual body aches. This is a marvelous site. I've been using herbs since 1971 and this is one of the best resources.

Ginger Root for Energy

When I am feeling lethargic, I boil a chopped up ginger root with 4 sticks of cinnamon and a heaping tablespoon of anise seeds. Sweeten to taste. (You can also add lemon and cayenne pepper if you have cold symptoms). This gives me an instant lift in spirit.

M to M, how do you protect your teeth enamel from the acidity of the lemon?

After reading so many YEAS on EC about the overall benefits of ACV, I tried it (and made my family try it too). I put about a tablespoon in herbal tea with honey. It definitely increased my energy just that one time, but I actually got very uncomfortable heartburn afterward. I'm not sure if it was because of the tea or the ACV or the combination.

I think Oil Pulling is one of the best ENERGYremedies around. When I do it for at least 2 days in a row, my energy level goes through the roof! I am quite convinced now that (though no proof, of course) that oil pulling energizes the kidney meridians, much like an acupuncture treatment. I usually suffer from cold hands and feet in cooler weather and the acupuncturist that I had several sessions with last winter told me it was because my kidney chi was weak. Thus he focused the needles in the kidney meridians. Sure enough my fingertips turned from ash white to a nice pink color, as did my face. Well, the same thing happens every time I do an oil pulling session with sunflower oil first thing in the morning. More blood circulates to my hands and feet and my energy level also increases tremendously. So much so that I sometimes have a hard time going to sleep at night (2:00am and I am counting sheep!) Some other people at Earth Clinic also reported a rise in energy levels after OP-ing, so there's something to this theory... I think...

Rosehip Tea

I was having a terrible time feeling exhausted all the time and at that time of the month for us women, I was irritable and uncomfortable. My Chinese herbalist kept telling me had to strengthen my blood but nothing was working Then I read about rosehip tea. It has a super high iron content and heaps more vitamin C than oranges. Apparently in times gone by, women used to drink it to keep them going during their menstrual cycles. So after a few days of tdrinking one cup of tea per day, I felt better and more energetic. I didn't add sugar or honey so it was quite tart to the taste, but that didn't matter to me. My advice is if you're going to add a sweetener, use Stevia instead of sugar (lower GI) or Manuka honey so you get the benefit of the antibacterial agents. I've recently started a new fitness regime of just walking and even after an hour up and down hills, I feel tired, but not exhausted and I wake up refreshed and raring to go the next day. I credit the rosehip tea with this. Now I can't wait until my cycle is upon me so I can keep feeling good and energised instead of depressed, tired and cranky.

Apple Cider Vinegar

I read about using Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV) for relief from a vaginal/bladder infection on this site. Since I only have major catastrophic medical insurance, paying out of pocket for a doctor's visit was something I wanted to avoid. I had tried 2 rounds of an over the counter treatment, and still had the infection. Therefore, I tried to drink the 2 tsp / 8 oz water with honey mix that was talked about on this site. Yet, I couldn't get past the first few sips. It was so gross tasting to me!!! So instead, I grabbed a tall drinking shot glass, mixed my 2 tsp of ACV with a little water and some honey and took it in drinking shot form - chased (followed) by a glass of water. Much easier! About 2 hours later, the shakey weird burning urge to pee pain of the infection was really dumbed down - I was so amazed how quickly it worked! I continued this treatment 2 times a day (one right before bed), and my infection is now completely gone three days later. However, I'm not about to stop taking this mix each day. The other benefits of the ACV mix are amazing. My energy levels are really good, my mood is good (I have been depressed lately) and I've had some really great hair days since it is so healthy and soft feeling. Even my skin is softer without blemishes. I've been on this mix for 2 weeks, lost 3 lbs without doing a thing too. For anyone thinking about trying this, you can't lose. It is natural, and just trying it for a few days was all I needed to be hooked for life. I only do my shot once a day now, since the infection is gone. Overall, I wanted to write to let you know a new way to take your ACV that works for me in case you also can't stand drinking it down. Possibly try it in a drinking shot glass with less water, but just be sure to have that water chaser afterwards so your throat and tooth enamel aren't hurt by the more potent levels of the ACV in your mouth. Typically a shot doesn't reside on your teeth anyway, so it possibly could even be a better way to take it. I'm not sure, but it definitely works for me. Good luck!

Serbian Remedy: ACV, Garlic, Honey and Warm Water

One of the best remedies for colds, and to boost your immune system is apple cider vinegar, chopped garlic, honey, and warm water. Mix all the these ingredients together and drink it. Instantly you will feel better. This recipe is from my Serbian grandmother. I have been drinking since I can remember, and I have never taken any medication for colds.
