I am now a believer! I used 2 tablespoons of ACV and 1 tablespoon of maple syrup just because I ran out of honey or I would have used that instead. The cure was instant.

Last night, I awoke with severe heart burn or indigestion. I headed for the Tums when I remembered that someone on Earth Clinic said a teaspoon of simple mustard would work immediately. Hey,,,, it did.

I'm working on my acne roseaca using your site's recommendations. These demodex mites are hell to get rid of. I refuse to treat them with antibiotics as I have for many years. My nose is not pretty, but my good bowel bacteria is alive and well.

Hurrah for our side.

I have had acid reflux for about 7 years now mine is chronic so it'll never go away, but I found that if you have really bad heartburn drink a COLD glass of milk and it'll sooth the pain. If it doesn't go away after one glass get another and keep doing this process until your heartburn dies down.

ACV and Baking Soda

It's the baking soda that is giving you the runs. Lol. Baking soda and Cream of Tartar will do that to a human :) FYI Cream of Tartar is AMAZING at clearing up yeast infections.

I used to get severe heartburn after eating spicy things. Last year a friend recommended me to drink a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar. In less than a minute the burning sensations were gone. Ever since that I have never had any burning sensations. I used to take tums and rolaids or drink milk and it would not provide fast relief. I used to suffer from heartburn after every meal. Even after breakfast! After stumbling on ACV, I have not suffered from heartburn ever since. It has cured my sinus headaches and also a wart that I had on my finger for 5 years! ACV is better than the doctor. I don't drink ACV but rather eat about 5 tbls. of it on a cabbage salad recipe. I eat it every day.

Almonds

Almonds made my heartburn worse. I guess one's personal cure for heartburn depends on the particular cause. After eating about 10 almonds I feel like I have a rock stuck in my upper stomach. Lots of pressure. Like I need to belch but none is coming.

Hi everyone:

I have acid reflux. I eat raw foods and one thing I like to eat is raw or blanched almonds. One day after lunch I realized after eating a handful of almonds that there was no heartburn for me. That's when I realized that almonds can be good for heartburn.

Eat Slowly

One of my teenage sons had heartburn last night and had had it since after lunch. He very rarely has heartburn. He has made the connection that he gets heartburn if he eats fast. (Which he rarely does, but apparently he at lunch fast yesterday.)

This does make sense. Chewing food adequately gets the digestion process started off right. Saliva helps with breaking down of the food.

Eating fast will also make you more likely to eat more that your need, which also contributes to heartburn.

I find that if I am stressed or in a hurry, my food does not sit well with me. I am better off waiting until I can eat slowly and enjoy my food.

Probiotics
Posted by Natnmargie (Spokane, Wa) on 02/02/2015

I bought a 120 capsule bottle of Nutrition Now Probiotics PB8, and started taking 2 morning and night. Within days my stomach was feeling "normal". Hurrah....no more heartburn. I've even tested it, by eating something that would normally have caused a problem and it was not a problem at all! I would recommend giving this a try for heartburn and acid reflux.

O.R.H. I think not the younger generation is "passing you bye" as most seem to me going in circles and you have moved forward and close to the finish line.

I love the line from Al Stewart, "Oh, the more it changes - the more it stays the same - and the hand just rearranges - the players in the game".

I suppose a hardened realist like yourself has the courage to face the facts and truths of life and drop out playing the win/loose game. Was it H.W. Longfellow said "Life is real - life is earnest".
