Phlebitis Victim Back on Her Feet Again.

From the Book: Miracle Medicine Foods, p. 55-58. 1977 by Rex Adams

Ms. H.N. reports: "Up until recently I had so much pain with phlebitis that I was in bed for three months. Then a friend told me about vitamin E and I have been taking 400mg. daily and now I walk for an hour or- more every morning. Then I help at Senior Citizens for four hours, five days a week besides all the other things I do and my legs do not bother me now. I will be 70 years old soon and have more energy than my daughter who is 32. I am so grateful for vitamin E. It has been my life saver! "

Phlebitis Ulcer Heals like Magic.

Ms. V.B. reports: "For many years I had suffered phlebitis which eventually broke down and formed an ulcer, which would heal for a while then break open again and again. After one severe case of infection, I had to have surgery, which helped, but only temporarily. By this time I had a great area of scar tissue which would crack, with the result, further ulceration occurred. My doctor wanted further surgery and skin graft, which I refused. "I engaged a new doctor; he agreed with me a trial with vitamin E might be of some merit. He put me on 1600 units a day, plus application externally to the affected area. It was like magic. The ulcers healed, the scar tissue became pliable, no further breakage. The bulgy veins flattened down to normal.

"I stayed on vitamin E for six weeks under doctor's supervision/Then decreased to 800 per day for three months. I now continue to take 400 units each day. Never felt better in my life. Considering I'm in my sixties and worked standing on my feet eight hours a day, this was a severe test for any medication.

Phlebitis Relieved, Clot Disappears, Paralysis Avoided.

Mr. D.S. relates how his neighbor developed a clot in his right thigh, which was removed surgically. The operation was a great success, he says. Unfortunately, the man's leg was permanently paralyzed. Then he says: "Last May I served on the election board ... and was on my feet practically all (day). By the next morning an alarming blood clot had formed in the femoral vein in my left thigh. The flesh around the vein was red and inflamed. The vein stood out under the skin like a rope on the inside portion of my thigh and was very sore to the touch ... I feared that surgery ... I had been taking about 1200 I.U. of vitamin E daily, so I decided ... to double the dose ... and within 24 hours the clot began to disappear. The hard rope-like vein in my thigh had softened. I continued taking 2400 I.U. of vitamin E for several days. After five or six days the clot and inflammation had completely gone. Soon thereafter I had recovered completely."
