Ladies I can't thank you enough for sharing your stories. My cyst popped up from no where I went doc's got put on antibiotics and then 48 hrs later developed a really bad fever and ended up in the A&E. so went there and they thought it had burst but a week later it came back full force painful to sit, stand and sleep and worse I was on holiday and had to endure a long flight unable to sit, stand etc it was so bad.

So 3 days after finishing my antibiotics I started getting mini fevers with shivering for 3 days and basically had to take paranormal and ibuprofen to keep the fever down which worked and it went.

With no option of seeing a gynea I took all your advice as I was on holiday. I sat in warm/hot baths which soothed the pain so much and helped me sleep but the cyst was growing more painful daily. So I decided to us apple cider vinegar on a cotton ball. I was only able to do this for 2 days (3 application over the days) cause it hurt so bad and to be honest I thought it made it worse but that is part of the healing. The pain got so bad at the airport on my way back home I put Vaseline down there to help soothe but that didn't help. Ounce I got home 12 hours late in so much pain (pain killers were not working I took. Othc patacetamol and ibuprofen) I sat in a bath with table salt cause I couldn't get anything else cause it was 12pm for 30mins then I applied tee tree oil and within 1 hour the cyst popped and started to drain. I did help it along cause I didn't want anything left inside it. I then sat in a warm bath again and applied more pressure to make sure it all came out. Then rises with saltly water then water mixed with tee tree oil and got a hot compress and now I'm in bed and all the pain is gone. Thank you so much ladies natural remedies really do work well, takes a few days but they work and once the cyst pops pain relief is instant.

I got my first horrible cyst about 3 days ago. I googled cysts on vaginas and found this page. This morning I went and got coconut oil, witch hazel, turmeric, probiotics, tea tree oil, vit c and d. I have taken 3 sitz baths today and have kept it covered with tea tree, turmeric, witch hazel and coco oil. Just like one of the women here said to do. I am happy to report that after my last bath there was some blood. It's getting really soft and much less painful. I'm so grateful I found this forum instead of having my downstairs cut open. I will continue to take the vitamins once it's all gone to hopefully avoid another one. This was HELL. I don't wish it on my enemies. Thank you ladies for the help and advice.

Tea tree oil + hot baths + sea salt

Definitely, it helped me. After read some horrific stories, was the same. The was pain of my life. The bartholin cyst started on Thursday and it burnt on sunday around 4am. I did hot bath, and hot compressed with vinager and sea salt really intense on Saturday. On Sunday I wasn't able to walk, to sit, even lay down. After, read this reviews.. I added the tea tree oil (sunday 4pm) to my rituals baths ..and 4am I was bleeding and screaming Hallelujah (one of the girl on the page write I remembered the comment... and definitely yes... Hallelujah!!! ).

I still doing hot bath.. now, I am a bit loss about next steps... how to keep drain it.

Good luck girls, a lot faith, prays, and meditation :) xo

Tea Tree Oil for Bartholin Cysts

Wow! Tea tree oil really works! I did heat compresses for the first 2 days, using cloth dipped in warm water and a homemade heat pack. I made the heat pack by putting uncooked rice in a clean sock and heating it in the microwave for 1min. I usually massaged the wet cloth with the heat pack. I also washed and cleaned the area with warm water and soap after every compress. Then I put rubbing alcohol and neosporin on the abcess. I took a long hot shower the second night, did another compress, and went to sleep. By morning it was just ready to burst and hurt like hell

I used a cotton swab to dab tea tree oil onto the big bump. I waited about 2min, then applied a maxi pad soaked in very warm water to the area. I felt it burst! Then I massaged it with my heat pack, and swapped pads and did this until the blood flowed slower. Then I took another hot shower and put a dry maxi pad on the wound to pick up any discharge. I will continue heat compresses and tea tree oil😊

I had my first experience with one of these this week. It was infected and swollen and could barely walk last night from the pain. Following advice found here, I soaked in a hot bath, applied Apple Cider vinegar, and then put a sliced clove of garlic on the cyst. I went to bed like that. Around 1 a.m. I woke up suddenly. The cyst had ruptured.

Bartholin cyst/abscess for the 3rd time. Pain level was 8/10. This time I was prepared beforehand itself. I already had Silica complex, and 40,000IU Serrapeptase at home. Started with 2 Serrapeptase twice a day on empty stomach and 1 Silica complex tablet. Since the cyst did not burst out till Day 6, I increased Silica complex caps to 3 that particular day. Next day cyst drained.

I woke up Monday with this lump - consulted with Dr Google and decided it was a Bartholins cyst (hoped it was) and then found this site yesterday. I had been applying a drawing ointment with tee tree oil in it, but decided to add to my treatment by cleaning with colloidal silver, then applying the ointment 3-4 times a day. Yesterday (Wednesday) I also decided to drink an alkilizing soda) - someone's comment suggested our bodies may be unbalanced (this resonated with me because I had been eating too many sweets). This morning on checking - I noticed a head on the lump, I squeezed it and pus came out - much smaller now - cleaned it with colloidal silver and applied Traxa and drank some more alkalizing soda. Holding thumbs- I do like to heal myself!!

I cured my bartholin's cyst following two months of taking 2 tblspns Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV) in small amount of water (had been on ACV for allergies for two months prior to discovering golf-ball sized cyst), but when I added 1 drop of Lugol's iodine and 10 drops of silica, the cyst felt smaller after a month and was gone in two months and hasn't returned. I had read on this site that cysts are caused by iodine deficiency, and it must be true!

Oh my goodness. I have suffered from Bartholin's cyst for over 20 years. 15 years ago I had one reach the size of a grapefruit ended up in the emergency room with a marsupilization. I never had one again until about 2 years ago. The other side. Life is so cruel. 2 ruptured on own until I had enough. Another one. I called my OBGYN and told them I had an abscess. Unfortunatly it burst before I got there. When I arrived the on call student Dr. said she was concerned because it did not fully drain. She mentioned cancer. Saw my regular dr 2 weeks later she said not cancer keep an eye on it we will do surgery if needed. For one year I have had an uncomfortable not abcessed golf ball sized lump. Never went away. Dr. still insists surgury no cancer though. I am desperate feel like doctor knows less than I do about this.

I hit the internet. I have stuck tea bags in there bought essential oils epsom salt baths. You name it tried it. I found the post about vitamin e.

Only one of its kind no one has mentioned it. Poured vitamin E oil on it and the gland drained before my eyes. Not the usual burst but natural drain where the gland is. Meanwhile in the last two weeks I had a ganglion cyst (also an ailment) once again surface on my hand. I bought vitamin E capsules. Took them within 24 hours hand cyst gone. Bartholin gland 3/4 of size. Vitamin E!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GOD BLESS YOU FOR POSTING!!!!!!!

I get Bartholin's Cysts, not sure if it's from my IUD or what, but I get them. I've found that applying vitamin E directly to the cyst unclogs the pores there and brings down the swelling and pain dramatically over the period of about 12 hours. Maybe I don't eat enough vitamin E- so that's also something to look into. I use a brand of vitamin E creme, it has something like 30,000 IU's in it. Works like a charm!

Tea Tree Oil for Bartholin Cyst

I apply tea tree oil with a cotton wool bud to the affected and surrounding area several times a day. I do this until it drains. This remedy has worked over 5-6 times for me! I plan to avoid tight clothing and have a hot bath at least once a week to avoid infection again. It's awfully painful and can be scary I'm thankful to have this site for guidance!.

Bartholins cyst maybe related to hydradenitis suppurativa. I have had good luck using flax seed oil capsules by mouth. Taken regularly, it prevents these vaginal cysts/boils and will also help one resolve if its already started. I used to have them frequently in my younger days. Once I started using flax seed oil regularly I stopped getting them. And prior to that it was so bad I could hardly work.

Just noticed my BC yesterday morning and successfully popped by this evening!! I did one sitz bath with epsom salt last night. This morning I noticed it was more tender and it bugged me all day at work. It was a bit larger than pea sized..

I perused all the remedies here and decided to continue with the epsom salt baths and add cotton compress of colloidal silver and witch hazel. The sitz bath I took after getting home from work really softened it up (I massaged it a bit as recommended by another writer). Then I mixed 1 part coconut oil, 1 part colloidal silver and 1 part witch hazel. I dipped a cotton pad (gauze) into the solution and applied to the softened BC. I checked it about 3 hrs later and it had popped and started to bleed! I made 2 new pads for over night.. applied one now and will switch midway through the night. I already feel relief and hope it's even smaller by the morning. I plan to continue the pad through work tomorrow to really ward off infection.

Hi there, this is my second post in two days concerning my experience with Bartholin Cyst. It ruptured last night, so here is my full experience.

I noticed a grape size lump on the right side of my vagina where the Bartholin gland resides about a year ago. I did not have insurance so going to the doctor was not an option for me at that time. It did not hurt at all, it only would swell up from time to time and go away. Usually during sex, or when I am negligent with my hygiene. Because it did not hurt I simply observed it and moved on. As of last week I noticed it growing larger. Now the size of golf ball, I guess is the closest reference I can use. As it grew it became uncomfortable but not painful, I just felt the pressure from the size. At this point I enrolled for medical insurance for the 2018 year because this was not looking promising.

By Saturday I was beginning to experience more pressure and thus more pain. I started doing heavy research and learned about sitz baths, tea tree oil and castor oil. I had these things in my home already in addition to epsom salt. So I took my first bath Saturday night. I notice the pain slowly getting more intense. By Sunday I was walking as if I had a limp and it was painful to sit directly on it. I took 3 baths on Sunday, which became more and more uncomfortable with each bath due to the pain and having to sit in the tub. It was the longest 20 minutes.

I took a full bath that night, filling the tub all the way up. I layed on my stomach and soak for an hour. That night was on and off with sleeping because of the pain. It hurt to move, shift and roll over. I had to place a pillow between my legs to avoid the pressure of them being closed. I am a heavier woman so my thighs applied a lot of pressure. I also slept on my back with my legs open or on my stomach with my legs spread apart. I am a side sleeper so this was major uncomfortable. After tossing and turning all night and having to deal with constant bathroom trips I got up for the day at 630am to take my first bath of the day.

My plan was to head to a health store thereafter and purchased some vitamins to help remedy the cyst. I didn't make it because of the pain. Instead I called off work and went to my boyfriend house and laid in his bed just to have somebody around. I took an Ibuprofen soon after I got there and had some relief. I also heated some castor oil and soak a gauze and placed it on the cyst to avoid friction. I then fell asleep and rested. right around the 8 hr mark after the pain killer wore off. I fell into excruciating pain. I took another Ibuprofen and took another bath. I was getting worse. I started calling around for free clinics that could possibly help with a payment plan option. I didn't get through to anyone because of the time it was right at 430 pm. I went back to sleep at 5pm, at this time the ibuprofen buffered the pain until later I went to urinate. It flared the pain up a bit, so I took some salt water and poored it on my vagina for some relief of the burning and slight itch feeling. It worked for a moment, so I immediately did another sitz bath but in a small basin this time. I sat for 20 minutes and dried off. I felt better, but I could feel the pain trying to increase so I took another Ibuprofen before the 8 hour mark, so basically I am overdosing at this point, then I went to lay back down. within 5 minutes the pain completely subsided. I thought hmmm Salt water bath? As I reached down to touch, the lump had felt softer, as I felt toward the inside that's when IT RUPTURED! It was a disgusting thing to witness but It was everything I needed. I slept well overnight and here I am now. I still am going to work on getting vitamins and rebuild my immune system to NEVER experience this again! The cyst is still slowly draining so I am wearing a pad to catch that and keeping my vagina rinsed with salt water.

I have been suffering from these cysts/abscesses off and on for years. Currently have another one that keeps growing. It has completely limited my lifestyle and taken away simple joys like going for a jog. Reading this gives me some hope that there may be a solution that may help that does not require surgically removing the entire gland. Thank you SO much for sharing your experience! Would you mind sharing the brand of Tea Trea Oil you used and any other sugestions/tips that worked well for you. I appreciate it tremendously. Thank you.

Take 1,000 mg turmeric capsules orally daily until swelling subsides. It took about 5 days for me and the cyst is almost gone.

I noticed a lump on in the left side of my vagina on this past Monday I didn't think much of it as it wasn't sore but by Tuesday it was very tender and uncomfortable even when I was sitting still. I immediately searched for at home remedies and found this site. I am well aware of Apple Cider Vinegar medicinal abilities. So, I immediately went and applied some the the cyst using a cotton swab, I did this through out the day. And before bed I took a warm shower and rested with a cotton ball on the bump for about 15 minutes before going to sleep. I woke this morning to a smaller cyst and it doesnt hurt, it's still tender to touch but not uncomfortable to sit anymore. I will report back when it is completely head, but I just wanted to say for anyone who may be skeptical this is definitely works and I'm so glad I found this site.

Alkaline Diet
Posted by Jillian R. (Hattiesburg, Ms) on 06/09/2017

An alkaline diet is essentially a vegan diet that includes tons and tons of vegetables. You want anything that is dark, leafy, and green (kale, cabbage, spinach, etc.) It is also extremely important to avoid acid-producing foods which includes DAIRY. It is so acidic to your system. Avoid meat if possible. Some types of beans & nuts are also alkaline producing so include those! Tofu is a great meat replacement for an alkaline diet-type. But most important is lots of greens plus fruit! Also important is to eat some/most of your veggies raw...when you cook them, they lose their benefits

My thinking is that the antibiotics wiped out your natural microbiota (microorganisms/bacteria in your gut, vagina, and on skin mostly) which is a huge part of your immune system. Then you took some sort of an antifungal to kill the yeast off. You threw your whole system out of whack. Sometimes it is necessary to take antibiotics, but they should be a last resort. Always take probiotics when taking antibiotics to replenish your microbiota. All sorts of terrible things can happen after taking antibiotics. This is an emerging field--one we know very little about. They now think that autoimmune diseases are the result of a disrupted microbiota and their cure may be in balancing out the microbiota.

I've just gotten one... I read the comments and unfortunately I see that the previous person hasn't replied... but I am using straight tea-tree oil and put it on a tissue like they described. It burns a bit but isnt terrible. I also saw someone else said they used 100% tea-tree oil they just use some coconut oil afterwards cause the tea-tree oil kinda dries it out down there. Hopefully this helps!

Hello D,

Suggest tea tree oil dabbed onto your cyst 3 times a day, if this tingling is too sensitive you can make a paste of turmeric and a healing oil you have on hand, like castor, coconut or olive, apply with organic cotton wool or clean cotton rag folded up and tape on. Soak at least 20 mins in bath with cup sea salt or Epsom salts daily or twice daily, to make the paste application more effective. If you don't have bath tub soak in plastic tub. Consuming turmeric will also be beneficial.

I've been dealing with my Bartholin cyst for a few days now. I've noticed it a year ago when it was just a small lump the size of a small grape. It never hurt it just grew a tad when I would have sex and I'd feel it when I wipe myself after using the toilet. It would come and go though, and again never painful. As of about November 28 it started growing bigger and as of two days ago it became very painful. I'm thinking it's infected but I'm not experiencing any fevers. Since it started hurting I have taken about 4 baths in the past two days. I am applying tee tree oil and castor oil to the area. Right now I'm on ib profen so the pain is bearable. I had to call off work today but I really want to encourage it to rupture. I can't call out forever. I have no insurance for this year. I enrolled for the 2018 year, so hopefully it'll be resolved by then.

I'm glad you got relief, but can't help seeing some irony in your statement about returning to the doctor whose treatment caused so much pain and difficulty "as a precaution". I know it is what most of us were brought up on. I'd try a practitioner of Chinese medicine (acupuncture and herbs), an Herbalist, Naturopath or Homeopath. Anyone trained in more natural forms of healing, not one of those practitioners of the barbarism known as "modern" medicine.
