I tried this tea a few weeks ago because I had a really bad cold and my nose would NOT stop running. After 2 boxes of tissues in one afternoon I came on here and found this remedy. My nose stopped running immediately as soon as I drank it! I came on here today to recommend it to a friend...HI KAT...I have found so many great remedies and I intend to try and stay on a steady regimen of taking cayenne pepper for all of the health benefits. I love this website and recommend it to all my friends now. Thank you to all who shared their remedies and feedback!

I was suffering very badly all of yesterday with my sinuses, even my teeth hurt. I found the recipe online. I used all the original ingredients, V8, fresh lemon juice, 4 cloves of garlic, and 3 different types of pepper sauces (of course being in the caribbean I have many at home, so I used my hottest). I even added Whorchestershire sauce and a celery stick to make in like a bloody Mary. I had my first cup last night. It didn't seen to do anything. I kept an open mind and had a second cup this morning, but still it had no effect. I used lots of hot sauce, almost to the point of not being able to drink it, but nothing. The taste is nice, the drinking is fulling. I'm sure its very healthy. I think I'd be better off using it as a meal replacement to help me lose some unwanted pounds, though than for sinus relief.

I followed the tomato tea recipe ver batim. It most definitely helps, but it's not the cure that everyone makes it out to be. (Hence, my "nay" vote.)

Note: (1) The real benefit comes from the hot sauce/pepper. If you can't stand really spicy things, you're not going to be able to handle this drink at the level of beneficial spiciness.

(2) It only helps for a few minutes. I felt great after taking my first dose, but all the benefits were gone 20 minutes later.

I made the recipe but added a can of Amy's Organics Minestrone soup to it and it was a tasty meal :) and I noticed my sinuses clearing as well.

The Potion Really Works. I was tired of the medicines and doctors same ol' prescription. Nothing was working for sinus congestion. Most the medicine from the doctor made me feel worse! I searched on the internet for severe sinus problems and found this concoction. This was the only thing I have ever tired that worked in 30 minutues time. It taste GREAT! I would suggest this recipe to anyone and I send the recipe to everyone I know and all I get is great results. Adding cayenne pepper instead of hot sauce works best! It's the capisum in cayenne that clears sinus and the garlic that is the antibiotic healing property. It all works wonders!! Breathe Right AGAIN! AMEN!! TRY YOU'LL BE BACK FOR YOUR BLOG!

My girlfriend sent me the link to this page because I was extremely congested. I tried taking some medication to help out but it just made me drowsy and I felt like I couldnt function at work. First thing I did when I had a break was run across the street to the convenience store and pick up a jug of V8 tomato juice. I threw it in a pot with 3 cloves of garlic that I minced up, half of a lime, some cracked pepper and a blend of Tabasco and Saracha hot sauce. Warmed it up just until it was about to boil and drank it like coffee...it was awesome and my nose is running freely now and I can finally taste. A+++++++++

I can vouch for the V8 juice. Except, I use low sodium V8 and then mix some Old Bay seafood seasoning in it. I am trying anything at this point. It must be the vitamins in the V8 & the spices of the seasoning that clear my sinuses. Tastes great, too! - 1 can low sodium V8 - Enough Old Bay so that you can taste the spice.

Hi, Hot tomato tea cured the heaviness in my head due to an old chronic sinus blockage. I had completely lost my sense of smell and was even constipated. Sipping hot water with dill seed infusion, melted away the sense of cold in a flash, and I could feel my ears opening up and a fine sweat covered my forehead, and I immediately felt better. I have been searching for cures for the same. Hot Cure is definitely right, bec. I experienced it few times in last 2 - 3 months. I had not even known about this cure then. It had just become too chronic. The problem is when its too fiery hot, I can't sleep as there seems to be a grating sensation in the abdomen. So try looking at it holistically as a preventive. I find cookies and chips the worst culprits. All the luck! http://www.ayurvediccure.com/home-remedies/homeremedies-sinusitis.htm

I wanted to just say firstly that your website and the fantastic 'not for profit' nature of it has helped me immensely with a sinus infection which I have been battling for 1.5 months now. I had been getting pressure inside the top of my head and was finally diagnosed as having sinus problems which I had had 3 courses of antibiotics over a 1.5 month period each course getting better for only a matter of days before my sinuses started to become congested again.

I tried the tomato tea cure without skeptism because I am now someone who knows how hard sinus problems are to cure. After having 2 tea drinks (5pm and then before bed) I woke up the next day with completely mucus free sinuses and breathing. Over the course of the last 4 days my mucus has come back each day between 11am up until 5pm when I take my tea, however each day the amount of congestion is less than the day before. I truly believe (and thus far it is true) that in another 3 or 4 days time I will have completely recovered from what has been one of the worst medical complaints I have suffered from. I am 28 years old and would like to say thank you so much for creating an open to the public website with such valuable material and not expecting a penny in return for good health :-) P.S this recipe is invaluable.

With mucus recurring so regularly it might be worth looking at diet related cause, could be wheat or as is more usual milk products that cause mucus. Hope this helps.

I wanted to say that the Tomato Tea Cure listed first works wonders! As a suggestion, I recommend using Habanero sauce in the mix as well! I also added some Apple Cider Vinegar which seems to help alot and make it taste a bit better! Thanks for the wonderful cure!

I had lost my voice, had a sore throat, a hacking cough, and my sinuses were so raw it burned just to breathe. I tried the recipe last night except I used close to 1 teaspoon of garlic powder. I don't like tomato soup or ketchup so I was only able to sip about 1/2 a cup of this. Apparently, this was enough to start working because I've awaken with no cough(the night before I kept myself awake coughing)sinuses are barely noticeable and I have my voice back with just a little clearing of my throat and there is quite a bit of buildup in and around my eyes and the heaviness I felt in my head is gone.Too bad I didn't try this the first couple of days I felt bad versus waiting until I was out of ideas.

After having recurring colds & sinus infections for over a year, I eventually got surgery in my nose. This is after taking Antihistamines, Naseril and everything else. I felt better, but still got sick easily, even after the surgery. Tired of medicine, I came across this remedy & ran to the store, bought the ingredients at the first sign of a cold and took it before trying any thing else. To my surprise, I was well after two day's, without taking anything else. Since then, I take this remedy at the sign of a cold (itchy throat, runny nose) and that's all!!! My husband, who was not sure it worked, tried it when he felt sick, he had a runny nose, cough and was sick in bed, but after one day he was fine. Now, we give it to our 5 year old daughter and well, we're all happy. Sometimes it does upset my husband's stomach a bit, probably do to the hot sauce, but it works.

BETTER BUT WITH SIDE EFFECTS

WARNING! Im kinda irritated about this remedy, because although it does seem to have helped, it turns out for me and many people theres one serious side-effect to consuming a ton of garlic right before bed - insomnia or nightmares! Considering I'm sick, I neeeeeeded my sleep tonight, and its seven in the morning and I still havent been able to drift off. So, if you do this, plan ahead and make it many hours before your planned bedtime, hopefully you'll be able to fall asleep.

Delicious and effective, though it took probably around an hour for my sinuses to clear. I think I probably need to add more hot pepper sauce to get a more immediate effect. The bigger benefit by far was that it helped to clear my chest as the garlic/ pepper combination forced me to cough up (sorry for all the detail) all the phlegm that had settled on my chest. It also seems to have dried up my post nasal drip as well, so a good result all round!

I am 27 years old and I have has sinus problems since my first pregnancy, my baby is now 10 months, I am now pregnant again and my sinus are worst thant ever. Before I found out I was pregnant I went to the doctor's and they gave me different anti-biotics and they were not working, they said I have a viral infection in my sinus. Now with the pregnancy I am worse and I don't want to take medicines, I was desperate and came across this wesite and I love it. I tried first ACV and it make me throw up because of the pregnancy, I will try it with honey to see if my stomach can take it. Then I tried the tomato tea and the first night I was able to sleep better, I only woke up once, yesterday I didn't take it bacause my stomach was not good and I could tell the differce, I will take the tea after work and another cup before going to bed, I think this will help me and get rid of the sinus problems once and for all. I am tired of using drops and talking medicines. I will report in a week to let you all know how this is working for me. Thank you Health Clinic!

The spicy tea remedy ia amazing, it cleared my sinus pain within minutes. It's the only cure I have found to really work. I took some early in the evening, then again at bedtime, and awoke in the morning with clear sinuses, it truly works, thankyou!
