I think you can try finding at Vidthayasom located at Rajdamnern Ave. They open Mon. -Fri from 9. 00 a. M. - 5. 00 p. M. Call and ask first at 02-3817100.

I had the experience in dog mange. I used hydrogen peroxide, the normal grade 3-5% that you can find at any pharma shop. Do not select the clear bottle, use only the brown one. Mix about a half a red bull cap with the food twice a day. The smell will recede within a few days together with the itching and hair will eventually grow.

You won't find Epsom salt in Thailand, it is known in Thai as "Dee Klua Farang" available at most of Thai and Chinese herbal medicine shops.

[YEA]  Hello. I am writing in response to the posts about borax use. Many people have asked if they should just use 20-mule-team borax. I just found this site so I haven't used the remedies yet, but I wanted to write and give your readers a lead on a cosmetic grade borax. Actually, if they just type that into a search engine, they could find it themselves. But I found it at a place where I buy bulk organic herbs and flowers for making my own personal care products. This is the description from their site: "A natural source cosmetic grade Sodium Borate that does not contain surfactants and detergents which are commonly found in commercial Borax products. Borax acts as an emulsifier, natural preservative and buffering agent for moisturizers, scrubs and bath salts." Now, I would imagine that this means the borax in the store is NOT the one you would want to ingest, even in small amounts, since it more than likely DOES contain other ingredients that you don't want. So, if I were to try this remedy, I would look for 'cosmetic grade sodium borate'. The place I found the above description was mountain rose herbs, listed under miscellaneous products. I do not work for them and have no vested interest in telling you their name. I am, however, very impressed with them in general. I've purchased many things from them and everything has been good quality. You can delete the company's name if you'd like, it matters not to me. As long as your readers type in the correct words, they would find the site I'm talking about, or at least a place that sells the grade of borax that I'm referring to. Well, good luck! I'm off to email Ted to see if the borax will kill spirochetes.

I just checked on the Mountain Herb website and the end of the detailed description of their borax product is that it should NOT be consumed for any reason. Their product is used for cosmetic purposes so it's much purer than commerical borax. A rep from Mountain Herbs is checking now to make sure that there is no aluminum in their baking soda and will get back to me. I will update Earthclinic.

Has anyone tried the Mountain Rose borax? I'm not comfortable taking a borax that makes no claims of purity, and is processed by Dial Corporation. At least MontainRose says theirs is manufactured according to USP standards. So I was wondering if their chemical analysis means that nothing was added to the Borax, or if 20 Mule Team/Dial Corp is still the best option in the USA.

Here's Mountain Rose's Chemical Analysis:
Anhydrous Borax- 70.1%
Boric Oxide - 48.5%
Sodium Oxide - 20.8%
Water of Crystallization - 46.2%
Chloride- 37ppm

I found this on the 20 Mule Team product website. Yes, its made by Dial but according to this, it appears that 20 Mule Team is more pure than the Mountain Rose brand which contains only 70% borax.
How much Borax is in 20 Mule Team? 20 Mule TeamĀ® Borax is comprised of 99.5% pure borax, a naturally occurring mineral composed of sodium, boron, oxygen, and water. (The scientific name for borax is sodium tetraborate decahydrate. ) The remaining 0.5% is composed of trace minerals.

Dear Ed:

Most suppliers here in Thailand do not sell calcium EDTA. They sell only disodium EDTA. To make calcium EDTA, I get disodium EDTA and mixed with calcium carbonate to get calcium EDTA, and magnesium carbonate with disodium EDTA to get magnesium EDTA. A local supplier here sells Magnesium EDTA.

I have been looking for it too, I like the bathtub cleaning tip. However, I read that trying to chelate metals using this is dangerous and you can overdo it. I read that it is sometimes found in laundry detergent.

Its not easy finding a reliable supply of EDTA in the UK, there are some tablets available for sale but I don’t hold much stock with them. I have been using a liquid chelate for detoxing from heavy metals I encountered in my work environment. I’m a potter and many of the glazes used contain heavy metals that overtime with a lackadaisical attitude unfortunately built up in my system, resulting in some pretty unplesant side effects. I seriusly started to investigate what products where available for helping to remove these heavy metals and discoverd a website in the UK that specialises in products for detecting and removing heavy metals. Here's the link if anyone else is interested: http://www.novadetox.co.uk/acatalog/chelating-agent-edta.html

just read the website of the camel farm near San Diego - and they do not sell the milk, and state that at this time it cannot be purchased in the US.. So I'll keep looking for a legal way to get into the US.

Is there a place or outlet in Ghana where this plant or other treatment alternatives can be obtained? Thanks

Hi Kofi... Ghana is in Tropical Africa so it is highly likely that Chanca Piedra grows there. CP can probably be found growing as a profific weed all over the lowlands. Such is the case with the Philippines -- also a tropical country. CP is only about a meter high or less and it has one unique feature which distinguishes it from all other plants -- the flowers and seeds of CP grow along and under the leaf petiole or leaf stem -- this is why CP is also called Seed-Under-Leaf. Here is a picture of the plant:

And if it also grows in Ghana like a weed then you can get it for free. Use the plant in a decoction or as a healing tea.

You can try in local market. Or you have to order online from any of the international sellers like swansons. Or if you have any friends in India, particularly south india, you can tell them to mail you. It is only INR 50/ 50 GMS packet in the local market.

This mother nature's gift will grow in abundance after monsoon around our farm in India.

Hi everyone, I'm enjoying reading everyone's posts and I would really like to continue using virgin coconut oil as I did in the UK but I have recently moved to Jeddah and I haven't been able to find any yet. The only coconut oil I can find in the supermarkets is Parachute oil which smells like coffee and I would prefer not to eat it, I'm using it on my skin as body oil as I can't find any thing else but it really isnt very pleasant. Please can anyone help me find a local supply of virgin oil. Many thanks

Does anyone living in Qatar know where I can find Virgin coconut oil? I've checked out Megamark, LuLu hypermarket and the Philipino supermarkets near Souq al-aseri but haven't managed to come accross anything. I'm not looking for the refined oil in the blue bottle oil but virgin coconut oil.

I lived in Qatar a couple of years ago and did find virgin coconut oil at Mega Mart. I don't recall the name, but it came in a clear plastic bottle with a green label, originating from the Philippines. It also had the USDA organic symbol on it. I noticed that it was not always in stock, but you might be able to ask for it.
