Stomach cancer (gastric cancer) is uncommon in the United States and actually decreasing in occurrence, though it is much more prevalent in certain areas, such as Japan. As with other cancers, stomach cancer is characterized by the uncontrolled growth of the body's cells, in this case cells found within the wall of the stomach. Most stomach cancers are adenocarcinomas, which form among the stomach's glandular cells.
Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) presence in the stomach is a major factor in stomach cancer occurrence, as is poor diet, tobacco use, and gender (male). However, a stomach cancer tumor is very survivable if caught early. Unfortunately, late stage stomach cancer has a low survival rate, and early symptoms are minimal and hard to differentiate from other typical forms of stomach distress.
Natural Cures: Natural remedies for stomach cancer are limited, though some evidence exists to support Indian Gooseberry and Lu Feng Fang, a Chinese herb, as anti-cancer natural treatment options.
My husband has gastric and esophagul cancer. He is in stage 4 and was given 8 months to live 17 months ago. He has taken different forms of chemo and radiation during this period of 17 months. The radiation did a great job of shrinking his tumor which has grown outside the stomach lining. Does ACV work for stomach cancer? Reading several of the posts, I see that it causes trouble in the stomach, so I just wondered. He is worsening now and his tumor has grown back to larger than when he was first diagnosed.
