[BETTER BUT NOT CURED]  My husband has been suffering from Hep C since 2001...thats when it became symptomatic. We think he contracted in college in the 70's. He is 59 years old and we have managed to control the symptoms so he can lead a very normal life. He did one round of interferon for 11 months...which really damaged his body in other ways, but didn't get rid of it. He is taking a whole food supplement that is dehydrated fruits and vegetables. When we started him on it, he was taking 6 vege capsules in the morning and 6 fruit with dinner or after. Since he started taking these, he no longer has the Hep C tiredness, brain fog and achiness that was with him for so long. He has been on the product for about 5 years now and is back to working full time and teaching tennis on the weekends (his love). If he forgets to take it or gets stubborn and doesn't take it....the symptoms come raging back. He now takes 3 vege in the morning and 3 fruit in the evening...it seems to have a cumulative effect and he doesn't need so much now.

I don't want to say the name because I love this site and it has asked me not to, but if someone wants to know you can email me at rialskathy@yahoo.com. You can only get this product through a distributor. I am a distributor, but only to buy my own product cheaper. I don't really sell it to other people. You probably know someone who is selling it already or I can give you the website.

It hasn't cured the Hep C, but it has given me my husband back.

[YEA]   My husband contracted Hep C in London, England several years ago. I have taken my knowledge of immune system enhancers and natural healthcare, and through consultation with alternative care practitioners to take him from a relatively low viral count to almost nothing, while suffering no side effects. We expect the hep C to be completely gone and will keep you informed. He has been taking a steady dose of 4 Olive Leaf, 6 Curcumin, 2 Lactoferrin, 1 IP6, 2 Bell Lifestyle Stem Cell Activators, 2, 000 Omega 3, 1 N-Actyl-Cysteine, Superfood Greens, multi B vitamins, 2,000 Vitamin C, Kidney detox tea (Bell Lifestyle) - daily. Also, no microwave foods, no coffee, limited dairy, no processed foods, organic foods as much as possible. All the best.

Hello B: Can Lactoferrin, 1 IP6, 2 Bell Lifestyle Stem Cell Activators & 1 N-Actyl-Cysteine all be purchased in a health food store, or did you purchase these supplements online through a distributor?

Thank you

I read somewhere that during the cold war the Russians were working on an antidote to biological weapons. The research was done in Bulgaria, the substance was "a supercharged version of lactobacillus bulgaricus" a probiotic. The article stated that it easily wiped out the HCV. Curious..

Vitamins to take for hep c? i've just recently found your web site. have been looking up holistic medicine for my husband who has hep c. he's thinking of starting the interferon treatments and is going to start them soon. was wondering what you would recommend as far as vitamins goes. the doctor said that he was gonna put him on treatment for 3 months to see how he does. was told he only has about a 30% chance of it working. i'm worried that in the process of this treatment, that he will have other side effects such as thyroid problems and it effecting other organs. your feedback would be much appreciated.

thank you,

Dear Anne from Palmdale.

I caught your post as I was sitting up waiting for my Oxycontin to kick in. Have you not read about all the side effects of the treatment they want to put your husband on? He will be worse for wear and I can pretty much garantee it will not work. He has a much better chance using the BHT and related vitamins with it. It is dirt cheap and a healthy alternative. I wish I would have discovered it when I found out I had hep c. The choice is yours and if he does do the conventional treatment he will probably be looking for anothr cure any how. Look in the ailment tab under hep c and read about all the people using the BHT method. It has even cured stage 4 liver cirhosis. I am currently taking it and fortunatly it has reversed most of the side effects from the interfuron treatment which didn't work, needless to say. The BHT has dramaticaly reduced my Liver Function Test numbers to near normal range. I am expecting to report a cure soon. I wish you well in your endevor.

Question for Bill from Phillipines. In a 04/08/2010 post from Ted from Bangkok he mentions a protocal that I would like your opinion on. He says to take ibuprophen and lysine for hepatitis c. He says to take 200 mg Ibuprophen 5 straight hours a day along with 1000 mg lysine for a week. At the end of a week stop ibuprophen and continue with lysine for a month. At 1000mgs at 5 hourly doses per day.

I hear bad stories about ibuprophen yet I was given 800 mgs per day in 3 doses for six months..YES 800 mgs 3x per day for severe whiplash in a car accident..in 1994..I got hepatitis c in 1969. When I got my enzymes checked in 2003 they were normal until I was talked into a biopsy which sent my enzymes up to the mid 300's...What do you feel about Ted's protocol as I also hear lysine might not be the thing for hep-c..Sometimes science finds different results for different health protocals. Thank you for reading....

Hi Crystal...Concerning Ted's Hep C cure using Lysine, threonine vitamin c and glutamine, as he states in this post he does use ibroprufen for 5 hrs a day for only a week. He uses the ibroprufen because it rapidly helps to kill the hep c virus. Aspirin also kills enveloped viruses. On that page he also states that he always tries to adjust a remedy to the sufferer, sometimes using aspirin or bloodroot instead. There may even be occasions when Ted would not use ibroprufen against Hep C. This really depends on what else is wrong with the person he is helping. We are not clones after all -- we are all different.

I also trust Ted because he is a qualified biochemist who has obtained his qualifications at American Universities and he has also worked both in the US food industry and in the US medical drugs industry in America. In fact I would far more trust Ted's judgement on drugs than any doctor's limited opinion because doctors do not know the biochemistry and dangers of drugs and chemicals. At their worst, doctors are really just salesman for the drugs companies whose treatments for chronic diseases in particular are mostly very expensive and only ever palliative (with no real cure in sight -- just disease accommodation). Also please remember that Ted gives his advice for free and, also unlike many doctors, his only focus is actually on curing people. That is his only motivation. Furthermore, Ted is not a particularly rich man (unlike most modern doctors and specialists).

I have never had occasion to use ibroprufen, but I regularly use aspirin, lugol's iodine, lysine, hydrogen peroxide and turpentine in my own protocols. If I said this to any regular modern doctor then he or she would probably scream poison despite the fact that I am extremely healthy for a 63 year old man.

Lysine is an amino acid -- in other words it not a drug but it is food. Lysine is found in many foods and is an essential amino acid for the body. Lysine in the body helps to raise the seratonin levels or the "feel good factor" of the body which also tends to stimulate greater production of macrophages and T-Helper white blood cells of the immune system. These entities are particularly useful for fighting viruses in the body -- which includes Hep C, Herpes etc.

Unfortunately, you wont find any double blind placebo testing or research on ibroprufen or Lysine killing viruses like Hep c (I know this because I've searched for it). But any competent and honest biochemist such as Ted will already know this as a fact because of their biochemical training and knowledge.

Bill, Thank you very much for the quick feedback. I certainly respect Ted's input and I think I speak for all the people he has helped when I say we wish he will resolve the current issues that plague him and get back to curing without drugs.. I also have peripheral neuropathy and would like to know if the Ibuprophen + lysine protocal would bother it. I have tried EVERYthing on all sites and it's only progressing and is now in my thighs from my feet and calves. Horrendous pain. I believe the hep-c caused it and am now fopcusing on cureing that and maybe the PN will go away...far away...Thank you again.

BHT works exceptionally well for the hepatitis C type 1a and 1b people. The vast majority of our success stories are the HCV type 1a and type 1b people because that is what most people are infected with. It has also proven to work well for HCV type 2 people.

See this post: http://earthclinic.com/cures/viral-hepatitis-treatment-by-oscar.html#BHT

There are many other success stories posted for success with the use of BHT to treat hepatitis C genotypes 1a and 1b posted in this forum and others....Oscar

If you are wary of taking Ted's remedy for Hep C -- you could perhaps try the BHT remedy that Oscar recommends here:

BHT Remedies

This remedy works well against most strains of Hep C with, perhaps, the exception of certain type 1 strains.

Hello Bill from the Phillipines, I'm going to start Ted's hep C protocol tomorrow with Ibuprophen and lysine. I'm somewhat confused. Ted mentions taking Ibuprophen 6X a day then at the end of his post he says 5X a day. Also is this just a one month protocol. Thank you VERY much.

Hi Crystal...Just take the ibroprufen dosage at 5 times a day. Take this every day, as Ted advises, for one week only, then just continue on with the lysine dosages for the first month. Thereafter, just follow the lysine dosages that Ted recommends here -- this will depend if there is or is not great improvement after the first month.

Please also note that Ted also states (at the end of the post link above) that the whole protocol may be repeated if necessary.

I ran across this website while searching for info on HCV. The first thing I read was a description of a Angolan Soldier that allegedly contracted HCV from a tick bite. The description included symptoms appearing way to early to be related to the disease (it takes about 20-30 years for the disease to multiply enough to do noticable damage) with symptoms like "dark urine" that did not resemble Hepatitis C at all. This is a quote from the post, "Upon checking with his doctor, the doctor said that if you got black or dark urine, you got Hepatitis C." That doesn't sound like a very scientific diagnosis to me. Who is Ted? Are any of these remedies fact checked? I use alternative medicine exclusively but I am afraid to trust what I read here after reading that uneducated sounding piece of advice. I really need reliable trustworthy information to help me deal with this disease. I would appreciate any input on Ted or this article found on this page: http://www.earthclinic.com/cures/hep_c.html#CSHP

Hi Dianne, Why do you say it takes 20-30 years for the disease to multiply enough to do noticable damage? What I have read many times is that it can take 20-30 years for symptoms. But some do indeed see them much earlier and according to pubmed the average is 15 years, so that means there is a range of different times and for some its not long. Plus its usually spoken of in regards to the serrious damage eg. Chirrosis. http://www.hepfi.org/living/liv_abc.html

"Early symptoms of hepatitis C often resemble the flu. Hepatitis C symptoms include fatigue, abdominal pain, loss of appetite, nausea, fever and dark urine. Jaundice, yellowing of the skin and eyes, may also occur. Symptoms of hepatitis C are fairly mild during the initial stages of infection." This is from: http://getstdtested.com/hepatitis-c-symptoms

It does not matter where you read something it always pays to do more checking if it is new to you or your gut says I'm not sure about that. Sometimes we posters may not have the whole answer or have a bias for certain remedies or we think that there is one cause of a symptom when there actually may be more. We post because we care. All the best in finding your path to help.

[YEA]  Hepatitis C updated cure.

This is just my experience of a Hepatitis C that was cured. It happened about 23 years ago during a war in Angola, when one of young soldier got a tick bite which caused him to get the hepatitis C. Because the soldier didn't take baths during war, the tick made it's way to his armpits and spread the hepatitis C that way. Upon checking with his doctor, the doctor said that if you got black or dark urine, you got Hepatitis C. So the soldier went on to check his urine, and it turns out he got it when his pee became black. The doctor said nothing can be done about to cure it.

23 years later the same soldier, who is now a businessman that had more than 1/2 of his life with a Hep C, came to see me. Apparently the attacks became more severe and more frequent. For example, last year it was an attack every 3 or 4 months, then just this year the attack was almost every month and the severity was worse. Eyes were yellow, energy level low, painful areas in liver, lymph node congestion causing pain. The most important remedy that was used was a 55 minute 4 dose, for 4 days, using both the lysine and aspirin taken together, but before taking that vitamin C ascorbic acid was used (not perfect, I prefer sodium ascorbate).

The dose were continued for 4 days 4 dose each, and the attacks and symptoms disappeared. The HEP C viruses have two major weaknesses: mainly lysine and aspirin. However, zinc was given but since most people have low tolerance of zinc if taken extended period of time. I just limit the zinc acetate to just 50 mg a day for 2 days.

To date he has not has any episode of Hep C at all after this remedy and his symptons are completely gone, including hallucinations, shaking hands, lack of energy, pain in the right abdominal area, fever and chills. Just to make sure, it's possible to take lysine 1200 mg twice a day as a maintenance dose, however, the person I talked to didn't take any maintenance dose at all. The reason why he talked to me about his condition was I cured maybe 80% his mother of stroke, which left half of her body paralyzed, after no improvement for 6 months with conventional hospital treatment. More on that later.

There are other small details in the remedy, but for Hep C, this is the most important remedy I have mentioned is just the vitamin C, lysine, aspirin and zinc.

A lesson to be learn is we can get a virus from a tick bites. The fact that viruses dies in ticks or mosquitoes may not entirely be true. Mosquitoes spreads the Chikungunya viruses too.

Insects are considered vectors in spread of many viruses.

I was on interferon/ribovarin for almost 5 yrs.--a study. It ruined my nervous system, brain is foggy now. I am wondering if the ACV and 3% hydrogen peroxide has killed the hep c virus. I do have cirrosis (sp?) of the liver from drinking. I am very tired of being sick. Any ideas? Been taking Milk Thistle, 1000mgs for a year and before that 500mgs for about 2 yrs. This year I added ALA once a day along w other vitamins.

I have Hep C with no symptoms at all, all liver levels normal, liver healthy. My doctor still recommended I take the 48 weekly injections of interferon treatment with oral meds. I chose not to go that route. I am now seeing a homeopathic MD who has recommended phyllanthus, 2 caps 3x/day, zinc 30mg, milk thistle, alpha lipoic acid 600 mg/daily. Meditation and lots of spring water.

I have not been tested again but plan on waiting a few more months before the testing. Since I had no symptoms it is difficult to gage any progress. My Gynocologist discovered it after doing a series of tests since I was a new client.

Paula are you sure spring water? I have been told that spring water has too many minerals in it. I have been told to use distilled water. Have done all 3 treatments the last one of infergen had taken all my energy away. Have been off treatment since 2007. Any suggestions for getting energy back? There is the new treatment out there. They make it sound real good but when you read toward the end it says people with geno type 1A only have a 32% chance of clearing virus. Not good enough for me. I will wait for something without interferon. The treatments have too much of my life away. Grapefruit juice was working really well for me. A 14oz glass a day had kept my enzymes normal range. There is a study at the Boston MA hospital online. Just type in grapefruit juice and Hepatitis C and you will find it. Then, I found out that I am pre diabetic. No more juice for me and now the enzymes are elevated and the viral load went from 1.5 mil to 8mil in 3 months. Lovely!!

I saw that you were unable to take grapefruit for your Hep C. I looked into it and found that naringin is the bioflavinoid in grapefruit with the properties against the virus. You may want to look into taking a naringin supplement since you said the juice was not an option due to sugar content. I found the best deal for the capsules on Swanson's.

In 1993 after giving blood I was informed that I had Hep C. Naturally, I was shocked upon hearing this news so I went into the doctor for testing. The results were confirmed. I decided to quit drinking alcohol and lived in denial for the next 16 years. I read sporatically about any possible cures for my condition and discovered that interferon was basically my only chance for clearing myself of the virus.

I began taking milk thistle tablets about 10 years ago and didn't completely quit drinking alcohol but drank very infrequently. I read somewhere about 5 years ago that the compound in grapefruit killed the virus. I hated grapefruit but found a way to start liking it. I ate a grapefruit everyday and many times I would drink pure grapefruit juice (the one that is in the refrigerated section of the grocery). I also discovered that in Japan they found that people who consumed at least two cups of coffee daily had a significantly lower risk of liver cancer. I love coffee so no problem there!! And, green tea. Green tea is also very good for you. I love tea!!

Two years ago I went in for full blood work and was told that I DO NOT HAVE HCV. Stay positive and do the right things for yourself and I pray that you will be blessed too.

Here's support for the grapefruit extract remedy:

But a new study just released shows that nature seems to be able to do what Big Pharma can't -- kill thevirus without damaging cells in the body. Scientists at the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) have discovered that two plant-derived bioflavonoids, catechin and naringenin, display powerful antiviral activity on tissue culture infected with hepatitis C.

Dr. Samuel Wheeler French Jr. , MD, PhD, Assistant Professor of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at UCLA and researcher at UCLA's Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center, presented the findings in an American Society for Investigative Pathology (ASIP) symposium on "Pathobiology of Liver Injury and Fibrosis" at the national Experimental Biology 2011 conference, which is currently underway in Washington, D. C.

A liver pathologist, Dr. Wheeler previously found that another plant-derived bioflavonoid, quercetin used by many people as a nutritional supplement, can help stop production of the hepatitis C virus without any cell toxicity.

Dr. French and his research team's next step is to test catechin and naringenin on patients with a Phase I clinical trial.

"We now have several new compounds we can test to see if they reduce virus infection, " Dr. French said in a press statement. "The positive thing about this family of compounds is that they are non-toxic, and can be taken at high doses. Bioflavonoids represent a very promising therapy with very few side effects that could help millions of people."

Hi, I was wondering where I could get a complete guide line for taking the hepatitis C treatment.

My understanding is that I take the lysine & aspirin every 55 minutes for four doses 4 days in a row. Do I do this on a monthly basis?

I would also like more info on the BHT treatment. Can I combine?

Thanks

Dear Karen form Quebec, I have NO opinion on the other treatements you mention as a treatment for hepatitis C. I have discussed BHT [ butylated hydroxytoluene many times now as such a treatment ]. I beleive it to be a very effective treatment. And other forum members have stated dramatic positive results with this treatment for hepatitis C.

Based on the feedback available: One 350mg dosage taken with a gulp of water TWICE a day has been very effective for who have tried the BHT.

BUT, this may very well be too much for thin or lean people. From the feedback available: The less fat tissue your body is made up of, the less BHT is required or desired.

This treatment works very well but this dosage issue is still an important issue. For everyone trying this treatment: Start out with very low dosages and find out what dosage you are comfortable with. I see no reason for even fairly large people to be taking any more than that 350mg of BHT taken TWICE a day. I weighed about 180 pounds when I first discovered this treatment for hepatitis C and never took more than two 200mg, capsules a day to successfully treat my infection of hepatitis C.

This dosage issue is still a big question that has not been clearly defined at this time.

Also: I see no reason why the BHT treatment can not be used with other treatments as long as the BHT is taken seperately, at a different time and NOT mixed together with other compounds. Simply wait at least one hour after taking the BHT before taking any other treatment to allow for the BHT and it`s metabolites to be absorbed....Oscar

Ted or anyone knows if the natural form of Aspirin ---White Willow Bark is also effective antiviral. I have a likely undiagnosed case of Hep-C or any other viral hep as I respond to natural antiviral treatments. Day before yesterday I drank Colloidal Silver, took Lysine and St. John'sWort throughout the day and felt much better that night and following day. Last night and this morning I took 3 cps White Willow Bark with noticeable improvements today, especially muscle tone (now feel like I'm hulking). Licorice Root NAC DMG also yeilds improvement but raises blood pressure to dangerous levels, so have discontinued.

My first symptoms were an orange colored substance covering my lower legs and feet (this was first seen during an episode of acute leukemia in the hospital with the nurse removing large amounts on washcloth regularly). For yrs I complained to doctors of the possibility of Liver problems, but never any diagnosis. Liver got much better after gallbladder cleanse and Milk Thistle; but the orange colored film still remains yrs later but not nearly as bad as the few mo. of critical episode. For the last several yrs the orange film only appears in between my toes in small amounts, I mention this because I never really got obviously jaundiced and this seems likely similar side effect. I suppose the Milk Thistle as well as other nutritional & herbal supplements could create a false negative liver panel blood results.

Am going to try (trial) the BHT soon and report any changes.

Any comments welcome and I will post results.

Hi Timh, I've never seen or heard of this so won't be of much help. As Ted and others have found that fungus is a cause of cancer I wonder if it is a form of it, especially as it is in between your toes. Interesting that the colour is orange as I have seen iridescent orange pus come out of a skin cancer.

Dear Islahuddin from Hyderabad, BHT [ butylated hydroxytoluene ] is a specific compound that has proven special properties that NO other compound has been proven to possess. There are other similar compounds that exist such as BHA [ butylated hydroxyanisole ] that have shown similar, but less effective properties.

So, BHT is the product to go with if you can get it. Also BHT is much more available than BHA is. There are other compounds discussed in this forum that others have discussed that THEY say have been shown to be effective as a treatment for the different hepatitis viruses.

You can click onto that AILMENTS tab to read about these other treatments for viral hepatitis. I have NO experience with these other treatments and can NOT give an opinion on how good they work for that reason....Oscar

Follow up posting to Islahuddin from Hyderabad, Well my previous posting to you is NO help because you are saying you can NOT purchase BHT. I have read some of the other postings regarding the treatment of viral hepatitis in this forum.

In my opinion: GRAPEFRUIT SEED extract seems very promising. Now if you can not buy the extract you can surely buy grapefruits. I would recommend taking the seeds of the grapefruit and grind them up. You need to grind these seeds up or you simply poop them out and do NOT get the desired effect.

There IS scientific evidence that the compounds that occur in grapefruit seeds that can be used as a food preservative ALSO have proven anti-microbial properties. That is why they work as a food preservative. Here is but one of many links about all that: http://naturalingredient.org/GSE_Interview.html

A number of people in this forum have reported very good results with the use of grapefruit seed extacts for the treatment of viral hepatitis. And like I said: If you cannot purchase the extracts you can surely purchase grapefruits. Grind the seeds up before eating them. The extracts WILL be there. Just squish them up to break up the vacuales to release the extracts.

I have NO idea as to how much to take per day. Can any of you other forum members help Islahuddin with some specifics as to dosages ? I do think 3 or 4 seeds per day would at least be safe and perhaps very effective. I really do NOT know. Any help out there ? ...Oscar

I think that you are onto something with regards grapefruit.. It's a cross between a lemon and an orange. In "reeves herbal" It states that of all fruits, the lemon is number one in maintaining the nations health. I've been drinking orange juice with a lemon cut up and immersed in it for a few hours.. For a couple of weeks. Added to it is a capfull of ACV.. which you can't taste, plus eating half a grapefruit a day, I'm sure apart from any other benefits it improves eyesight.

Another benefit of the Grapefruit worth mentioning is the seed. On my quest for herbs that can kill fungal infection I am currently finding Grapefruitseed Extract to be superior to any or all other including: Pau D' Arco (although haven't tried extracts but a strong tea is very good), Olive Leaf, Neem, Cats Claw (this one seems promising especially w/ possible Mycoplasma infection), Uva Ursi (has provided substantial relief but cannot sustain therapeutic dose because of venous insufficiency, otherwise UU is very potent antimicrobial), Oregeno (oil) (is potent but somewhat abrasive but otherwise have tolerated very well but no substantial improvement). Am currently experimenting w/ Grapefruitseed Extract Concentrated Oil diluted in Canola Oil as an enema w/ very good results so far (3'd day).

I use Orange Oil or D Limonene (also present in Lemon) softgels occasionally for P-14 agonism w/ good results.

Against the recommended protocol, have been experimenting w/ 1 can frozen Lemon Juice Kool Aid® natural Lemon flavor as a refrigerated daily beverage; one cup 5 drops Sodium Chlorite for MMS synthesis w/ good results (despite the small amount of Vit-C present in the beverage). Is certainly more tolerable than the recommended pure lemon juice S.C. but probably cannot exceed 5 or so drops for one cup as maximum MMS which is a 15 drops.

Hi Islahuddin (from Hyderabad), As you cannot buy BHT where you live can you buy it over the internet? There are sellers on ebay that sell it and post it to you.

There is always Ted's remedy of Lysine and Aspirin plus Vit C and Zinc that worked for someone. Plus Richard from Volo had success with milk thistle tabs and eating grapefruit and drinking it. These are posts that apear above yours. http://www.earthclinic.com/cures/hep_c.html#TED_36221
All the best.

Ted, thank you for all your useful posts. I am interested in your BLOOD ROOT TINCTURE tip to treat hcv, but I wish to know if what I have is the correct recommendation.

FORMULAR No. 1

Blood root tincture...... 3 drops in 1 glass of water, 3-4 times a day (for how long?),
L-lysine........... 1000-2000mg three times a day,
Magnesium citrate....... 500mg ( how many times a day and for how long?),
Vitamin B. Co............ 100mg (how many times a day?),
Zinc............( what is the dosage?),
Clove oil....... (what is the dosage?),
Baking soda......1/2 teaspoon in a glass of water two times a day(for how long).

FORMULAR No. 2

IBUPROFEN/LYSINE FOR HCV.

Ibuprofen........200mg every hour for 6 hours for one week for the first month(and after that?),

I have a question for those with remedies that worked for HCV. Which genotype do you have? I know that genotype 1 is the most difficult to control? Ted do you have genotype 1?

MMS (chlorine dioxide) worked for awhile-- it really brought the viral load down 25%.It took severla months. However the thyroid TSH levels went way out of wack. Ozone looks promising howeve rthe test results have not been back yet.

I have a suggestion: if a cure is posted, plese add the genotype. Thanks!

There is a ancient Chinese herbal Medicine in Thailand (but terribly expensive) that is shown to be effective against HCV (Hepatitis C Virus). So there is a cure.

The name is piengsaehung. That's just the best I can spell it. A three month's supply (it actually takes about 6 -12 months of treatment) will cost about U.S. $1,000. It is very popular here in Thailand against hepatitis C and hepatitis B as well as cancer (cancer of a viral origin). There have been many cases documented of people cured. There is an extra charge (I think) of packaging them in capsule because the taste of the herbal medicine is so bitter.

I prefer to go through the sodium perborate/colloidal silver/apple cider vinegar/hydrogen peroxide/cesium chloride/fulvic acid/selenium/zinc acetate/lavender/tree tea/N-Acetyl-Cysteine, etc. route against hepatitis C virus however, but everything all comes down how well it works. For me, it worked quite well without the Chinese medicine because it is cheaper, and to me they seem to be active against virus. I however, never get a chance to compare side by side against the Chinese Medicine due to the variability of my own formulation. However, it has at least been effective against colds, allergies, and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.

As for Humic Acid/ Fulvic Acid, there is evidence to suggest that this is shown to be effective against virus due to its antiviral property. One strange thing about Fulvic acid is its ability to increase the potency of other antiviral herbal medicine by about 10-1000 fold increase and it is the main suspect why homeopathic medicines work since fulvic acid is not needed in large quantities.

To be on the safe side, I suggest you combine other herbal remedies that is already shown to be effective against HCV, such as Neem oil (important), artemesia (VERY important!), eucalyptus oil, oregano oil (versatile - but HOT!), and tea tree oil (versatile and o.k.). Top of this with lavender oil. I used them and take them internally whenever I am sick, although I never add lavender oil, unless these oils don't work. But, of course, they seem to work all the time for me so I do not have to resort to lavender oil added. If you are still having problems, try a couple of drops of wintergreen oil. You do not have to follow all the ingredients I listed above, for example you can just add tea tree and eucalyptus together, or tea tree oil and artemesia, or artemisia tea tree neem oil, for example. (P.S. neem oil is not aromatherapy, but it is been shown to be effective against many viruses.)

Fulvic acid is mixed in case the above remedies are STILL not working. Remember one secret when treating viral HCV, is that they spread quickly. To stop them the medicine must be given every 2-4 hours and continue taking them EVEN AFTER they are gone for at least a month as virus tend to do a good job of hiding in the body.

And remember, always rely on apple cider vinegar. Apparently Earth Clinic found out that this is perhaps one of the most effective medicines yet, they seem to work well against HCV, so take them as part of a dietary supplement whether you are sick or well as apple cider vinegar contains malic acid and acetic acid and it is effective against most viral disease including HCV. For those who want an added potency, add 10-20 of drops of 3% food grade H2O2 to the dose. Most apple cider vinegar is taken between 1 tablespoon to up to 1/4 glass of water. Therefore, you need to find the proper dosage which works the best for you.

May I also add that natural therapies against hepatitis C are not exhaustive; there are others that I have found that seem to work due to their antiviral properties, such as clove oil and cumin. A real surprise is olive leaf which when eaten fresh as a salad (without the sugar of course). Another possible treatment against Hepatitis C in Thailand is a Yaka, which is some kind of grass which is effective against malaria and widely suspected that it may also work well with hepatitis C also. So the possibilities are endless, most importantly of course, you must give them a try and see how it works out for you. Dosage, frequency and mix (whether you use artemisia, combined them with apple cider vinegar, etc.) is also something that must be figured out by yourself since, I have limited time in testing such formulation. However, my experience has been that 2% clove oil and 8% artemisia and 45% apple cider vinegar plus 45% H2O2( at 3% concentration), then with added N-acetyl-cysteine (about 200 mg./dose) taken at least 3-4 times a day seems to be helpful. Again this is a small trial, and may likely not work for you."

07/01/2008 Update from Ted: "...Interestingly, it was Sandhya who took me to Yaowaraj (Bangkok's Chinatown) to visit some local Chinese traditional medicine and I have finally found the proper spelling for the herbal medicine to for the hepatitis B cure, which is as follows:

Zhan Zhou Pien Tze Huang, produced by Zhanzhou Pientzehuang, Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd, Shang St. Zhanzhou, Fujian, China.

HCV and viral load: Oscar, I recall a post where you said something about viral loads and something about when it's under 200,000...I can't find it anywhere... My viral load is 161,000 and was 5 million a couple of years ago...Any feedback would be appreciated. Thank you and congratulations for helping people without drugs..

Hi Oscar, I have taken BHT but it made my heart race..I am going to give it another try soon though. I take Benfotiamine because I also have neuropathy. It's a fat soluable form of B-1..I take 300 mgs/3/ day..total of 900 mgs...It draws iron out of your liver which stops the virus from replicating...I also take 600 mgs of selenium plus eat 4 Brazil nuts a day..Selenium also draws iron out of your liver...The B-1 give me energy as well, which may be the result of my low viral load. Thanks for the feedback...Continue what you're doing..

Posted by Fatchabrute (Tucson, Az) on 03/24/2012

Oscar, I understand the viral load numbers, the type of test, the IU/mL are complicated to determine. Perhaps you can calculate what this information below means:

Both my tests were done w/ COBRA (R) AmpliPrep TagMan ® HCV Test Kit (Roach Molecular System. Inc)

The first test [=HCV RNA PCR QUANT out of range 2110000, reference range <43 IU/mL

HCV RNA PCR OUANT out of range 6.32H.. Reference range <1.63 LogIU/mL.

SECOND TEST:

HCV RNA PCR QUANT... out of range 837930 IU/mL...reference range(43

HCV RNA PCR Quant ... Out of range 5.92 log IU/mL....reference range (1.63

I believe it mentioned Genome 1????.. not that that matters.

Are the numbers, the raw numbers that mean what they say, or do you need to multiply something x something to get the vl number? Or to compare them?

Dear fatcha brute, I found a link to this website that has the most easily understood explanation for what these viral load counts mean. Now your viral load count is less than 1, 000, 000. That puts you in what is considered the LOW range as discussed here: http://www.hepatitis-central.com/hcv/hepatitis/loadchart.html

Also, it is good hearing from you. There is that BHT CURES I encouraged you to join here: http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/BHTcures/

This is a way of staying in contact with people trying the BHT treatment for viral diseases. But your participation in the Earth Clinic forum is important. You are an Earth Clinic Hero. So, whether or not you choose to join the BHT CURES group, do, please keep posting here....Oscar

Vitamins B12 and D   0  0

Posted by Oscar (Syracuse, New York, Usa) on 02/14/2013

An important newly published study from the University of Naples shows vitamin B12 and vitamin D to be of great benefit for HCV infectees. This same study states taking vitamin E enhances the HCV viruses' ability to replicate and should NOT be used as a supplement. Again, do NOT use vitamin E supplements while treating a hepatitis C infection.

Some highlights from this study here:

Significance of this study
What is already known on this subject?

< Less than 50% of individuals infected with hepatitis C virus (HCV) genotype 1 clear the infection after treatment with the combination of
pegylated interferon-a and ribavirin.

< The non-structural 3/4A protease inhibitors boceprevir and telaprevir significantly improve the sustained viral response (SVR) rate in
patients with chronic HCV genotype 1 infection naiive to treatment. However, several questions remain about the applicability of these directacting antiviral agents in 'real-life' conditions.

< In vitro, vitamin B12 inhibits HCV translation by directly interacting with the internal ribosomal entry site of HCV-RNA.

What are the new findings?

< In patients with chronic HCV infection naiive to antiviral therapy, vitamin B12 supplementation improves the overall rate of SVR to pegylated interferon-a and ribavirin by 34%. The effect seems to be particularly pronounced in difficultto- treat patientsdnamely, those infected with HCV genotype 1 and with a high baseline viral load.

How might it impact on clinical practice in the foreseeable future?

< The new-generation HCV antiviral drugs, such as direct-acting agents, need careful monitoring and stringent futility rules to prevent the
emergence of multiresistant HCV strains and to avoid overtreatment of patients. Until eligibility criteria are well established, the standard
of care +B12 combination is a safe and inexpensive alternative to improve the rate of SVR in difficult-to-treat patients. This strategy
would be especially useful in those countries where, owing to limited economic means, the new-generation antiviral therapies cannot be
given in routine clinical practice.

Where to Buy BHT in Nigeria   0  0

Posted by Oscar (Syracuse, NY) on 08/13/2014

Hello Nigerians, I found a company that sells BHT to Nigerians. Here is a direct link to buy BHT from them:
http://www.lef.org/vitamins-supplements/item17137/BHT-Butylated-Hydroxytoluene.html?source=search&key=bht
Now this is " The Life Extension Foundation ". I spoke with a staff member of LEF. She told me she knows of NO reason why you can not purchase BHT from them. The price for non-members is $ 16.50 US dollars for one hundred 350mg capsules of BHT. Now you will need a credit card to buy it or have a friend who will let you use their credit card.

If you join LEF and become a member you can buy the BHT for $12.38 for the same one hundred 350mg capsules.
Here is some more information about LEF along with a phone number if you have any problems:
Nigeria is not listed on the countries with restrictions http://www.lef.org/Vitamins-Supplements/Shipping/Shipping-Information.htm? Do recall there sometimes being problems with credit cards from that country. If you were informed that they couldn't buy the product from us, you are welcome to contact Customer Service 1 800 678 8989 or http://customerservice@lifeextension.com to find out.

So I very much hope this resolves this problem for you Nigerians. I do recommend you start out with 1/2 of a capsule for at least a few days to make sure you have no problem with using BHT. The capsules are easy to pull apart. Then just fold the remainder in a piece of paper for the next dose. Also: I very much advise taking BHT with water only on an empty stomach for best results.
Also: Please report back to the EARTH CLINIC and let me know if this works out for you people. Also: You people need to boil any water you drink to ensure it is safe to drink. The same is true for everyone because so much of the entire world`s water is no loner safe to drink unless it is boiled first....Oscar

Quick follow up to Nigerians: There may be other payment options for buying BHT from Life Extension Foundation. Such as a BANK CHECK or MONEY ORDER if you do not have a valid credit card. You can speak with a customer service representative at: 1-800-678-8989. This is a good company. If you don`t screw them around they will sell the BHT at a good price. I have purchased BHT from them for many years. It is a good product based on my experience with them. So this should solve this problem. I still do not know what the problem was to begin with. There are NO trade restrictions regarding Nigerians buying BHT according to the woman I spoke with. She does state there were problems with Nigerians and credit cards. So if you try and scam or cheat them with invalid credit cards don`t blame me or them. I do know most Nigerians are good people but I have learned there are some Nigerians who try and scam people. The same is true of some Americans so I am NOT judging Nigerians per se. As far as I know there is NO reason you can not buy BHT from LEF. If you want this BHT do NOT try and screw them around with invalid credit card numbers. It is up to you to establish trust with these people by being honest and using valid funds. I went to the trouble to find a retailer for you. Don`t make me live to regret doing so....Oscar

Dear Rsw from Uniontown, OH, Thank you for your kind remarks. They do mean a lot to me. It is worth noting that what BHT can treat it can also prevent. By that I mean taking a moderate daily dose of BHT per day can go a long ways in preventing the many viral infections BHT is effective as a treatment for, from ever establishing themselves in a persons body to begin with. It is much easier to prevent a viral infection that it is to effectively treat one. Infections such as herpes are all to easy to catch. Oral herpes can be contracted from kissing someone with a sore on their mouth for example. And genital herpes can be contracted the obvious way. Your children may wish to consider that. And the different flu viruses and such.

This BHT stuff is for real. It does work when nothing else does. I have explained how at length. It is the right size to penetrate those lipid coatings so many viruses have. It is readily attracted to said lipid coating because of it`s high hydrocarbon content in the same way and for the same reasons oils do not mix with water. But, unlike vegetable oils it does not have a long hydrocarbon tail group and will NOT neatly fit in said lipid coatings the way the lipids that make up vegetable oils of all types do. BHT also has so called hot spots that compel these bulky metabolites of BHT to move about rapidly tearing the lipid coatings apart. I go on about this in hopes of educating people about BHT....Oscar
