I had asthma and allergies all my life. We would buy tissues by the case. I sneezed all day long and had to have a box of tissue in every room. The allergies would trigger the asthma and most of the time I had to sleep in a recliner. I wasn't "growing out" of this.

I read an article how a local lady was healed by eating a teaspoon of honey daily from a local beekeeper (within 3 miles is best). She made sure that it had not been heated. Two years later after eating a teaspoon daily, I was totally healed. I don't even buy tissues anymore.

The beekeeper we found didn't heat or filter his honey so there was a little pollen. Some beekeepers heat the honey to make it flow easier. Interesting fact, about a year into this journey the local beekeeper moved away and we couldn't find another one. I was improving, but wasn't totally healed. My sweet hubby drove across town and took beekeeping classes and became a beekeeper for a few years just so I could have local honey. That is LOVE.

I have been healed for 18 years and I no longer wheeze or sneeze. The key for me was LOCAL, non-heated honey and taking a teaspoon full each and every day. Busy Bee

My boyfriend, age 47, had horrible allergies for 15 years, and headaches since childhood. Sinusitis, too. Pills, nasal sprays, antibiotics, you name it, he tried it. He had headaches almost every day and ate excedrin migraine tablets like they were going out of style. He regularly went to a specialist for his sinus problems. Nothing helped, and the last bout of antibiotics made him feel horrible. I heard about doing a water cure, which is basically drinking half your body weight in water daily and taking a few pinches of unprocessed sea salt daily. We started the salt and water protocol, and never looked back, no headaches, no sinus problems, no allergies. We rode 800 miles on his motorcycle over Memorial day 3 day weekend, in late May and there was pollen gallore, NOTHING. NO allergies. He can breathe! He smells the air, and he sleeps at night with a clear nose, and NO MORE SNORING.

We've been doing this for 5 months, just a few pinches of sea salt each day and drinking half our body weight in ounces of water every day: neither of us had even a smidgen of allergies ALL the past 5 months since we started the water cure. NO allergies. All through Spring, Summer, and now early Fall. We've been outdoors all day long in hayfever season, with all the ragweed and both of us were fine. No snoring, our skin looks phenomenal (YAY) and our joints are as limber as they were in our 20's, no popping or creaking or crunching when stretching and moving. Even my neck is loose and moves in any position smoothly. Digestion is optimal. This water cure is my way of life now, FOR LIFE. Simple sea salt and water has done us both the WORLD of good! Super cheap (almost free) and extraordinarily effective. The only cure we need!

PS - he hasn't needed any of those expensive allergy meds he used to need daily! He no longer uses over the counter pain meds daily for headaches. It's wonderful!!!

Suffered allergies for two weeks; itchy watery eyes, runny nose, dry skin. Increased water to half my body weight in ounces and adding 1/8 tsp of sea salt per 24 oz of water. ACV didn't work for me, neither did just increasing water. However adding the salt to the water did the trick. Dehydration causes histamines to be released. Salt helps water get into cells and hydrate the body. Otherwise the water ends up in the toilet. Your electrolytes may be out of balance which can activate histamines. ACV didn't work for me because I believe I didn't need those minerals, I needed salt. In a half day, I felt 100% better. God IS that awesome!

You must must must try the water cure and its various aspects. Sinus/allergies and aching joints are classic signs of dehydration.

I used the water cure successfully to rid myself of most allergy symptoms I even started having asthma symptoms which went away in two days of drinking sufficient water. You need 1/2 your weight in ounces of water and a little unrefined sea salt per day the pink Himalayan is great. You also need iodine, I used kelp and then later Lugol's solution. Magnesium, I use magnesium oil. The rest of what you need you will most likely get from your food. The water has made a huge difference for others who I have recommended it to.

One lady is off daily doses of Benadryl. Now she only takes it as needed. I am off of Zyrtec. I have stopped needing antibiotics 4 to 6 times a year! This has been a huge life change for me! I am about to turn 40 and I am so proud of taking control of my own health!

I had an allergic reaction 2 days ago - the first I've had in a long time. I was struggling to breathe, but I remembered that drinking water had alleviated other reactions I'd had some years back, so I drank at least half a liter of water & took a pinch of salt.

It all calmed down very quickly.

I recognise that I have been very dehydrated for a long time so have started implementing the Water Cures protocol as per their website. I do have the book ‘Your Body's Many Cries for Water' & must dig it out & read it again to remind myself.

I did go through a period of drinking 2-3 liters of water daily, some time ago, but was not taking any salt. It didn't seem to make much difference. I was also pretty low in Potassium back then, but now eat a mostly plant-based diet, with quite a bit of raw food so do get more potassium now.

The unrefined salt is needed to provide electrolytes & trace minerals so the body can use the water properly. So much improvement can be gained when the body is properly hydrated.

Quercetin

I have had horrible allergies for 20 years and have taken just about everything. At the health food store I came across Quercetin & Bromelain. The Quercetin helps with histamine production. The Bromelain (comes from pineapple) helps with sinus swelling. If you are allergic to pineapple you shouldn't take this. Also Vitamin C helps the immune system.

I just wish someone had shared this with me 20 years ago. It took about a week to work for me, but I now wake up every morning without headaches, grogginess, stuffy nose, or puffy eyes. This is what I have been taking and it has been life changing!

Quercetin - 500 mg or more

Bromelain - 250 mg or more

Vitamin C - 1,000 mg

In researching Quercetin, I also found that it's naturally occuring in foods like black/green tea, red onion, apples, red grapes, tomato, cranberries, spinach, broccoli, carrots, strawberries, blueberries and pears. I have also been eating more of these items as well.

Hope this helps,

UnaPiccolina

Turmeric, ACV, and local honey cured my allergies AND acne

Two weeks ago I started an ACV and Turmeric regimen for allergies with a wonderful side-effect! My skin is georgeous! I take 1tsp of ACV in 8oz of water 4-5 times per day. I drink 8oz of warm soy milk, 4 dashes of turmeric, 1 dash of black pepper, and 1tsp of local honey once a day. I live on a farm with cows, horses, dogs, hay and LOTS of pollen. I was taking OTC drugs twice a day with little relief. My eyes would swell, tear up and itch; and I'd sneeze like crazy. For two weeks I have not taken ANY otc drugs, and the worst I've had is a little bit of eye itching. Another wonderful side-effect is that I HAVE ENERGY! LOTS OF IT! Everything I've used is straight off the grocery store shelf - not organic. Except the honey - local farmer's market. This website has saved me lots of money and grief...thank you!

Apple Cider Vinegar Pickles

This is an update for using ACV. I have been making great PICKLES with it and it works for my allergies! I had to give it another try and decided I needed ACV diluted -Maybe it was too strong for my system.....

So here's the Recipe:

1 cucumber - sliced thin
1 red onion - sliced thin
1/4 cup of turbinado sugar or to taste
1 teaspoon sea salt or kosher salt
3/4 cup of ACV - raw
1 cup of filtered water
4 or 5 minced fresh garlic cloves - or more
dried pepper flakes to taste
1/2 teaspoon dried dill weed
1/8 teaspoon tumeric

In quart sized (very clean) mason jar, place cucumbers, garlic, onions, and then the rest of ingredients. Place lid on snugly and shake gently to mix all. Open jar and push down cucumbers so that all is submerged in brine. Keep in the refrigerator. Let sit a day or two to let flavors develop -if you can! Flavor only gets better .

I think these must be pretty healthy! Lots of sulphur from the garlic and onions, and probiotic effect from ACV and cucumbers and healing herbs, too.

My skin looks a lot better, too. I use Extra Virgin olive oil on it after my bath. Love it! Put it on when skin is still moist.

Good Luck!! PICKLES work for me!!!

EC: Sounds yummy, thanks for posting your recipe!

For years I have been a huge fan of ACV for many common ailments, and recently I've discovered that a solution of ACV and water (about 1:10) works GREAT to immediately stop an itchy runny nose and clear up sinus congestion. I use an old nose spray bottle, well cleaned, and then filled with my solution. I spray a couple times in each nostril and then breathe deeply: watch out, as it does sting! But then immediately, all my aggravating symptoms stop and stay away for hours. This is so convenient and natural!

Nettle and Horseradish Tincture

I use a tincture that I make of Stinging Nettle Tea from traditional medicinal. I use all 16 of the bags in a 32 Canning jars. I then add about an 8th of a cup of horseradish powder. I pour Brandy, I don't use Vodka since it gags me. I fill the jar to the bottom of the Rings. I stick this in my dark cupboard after I have shaken it so that it is all mixed together. I shake it daily for 2 weeks.

I take a tsp in a 16 Oz glass of water and ice and as soon as I first sip my sinus clear, my mold caused frog voice is gone. I use it for seasonal allergies, as well as our mobile home had serious mold issues that we have removed, and I used it to help with my severe mold allergy.

I original bought Simpliers Nettle and Radish tincture for many years since it was readily available in Sonoma County CA where they are based and where I grew up. After moving to Northern NV last year, I could not find it anywhere and was upset since I never paid more then $5.99 for an Oz. The only tincture I could locate was at Whole Foods at $15.99 an Oz. Not the same brand. I began making my own this past Springs after coming home from a month in a hospital and having been hit by a car as a pedestrian. My hospital room had moldy ceiling tiles, I was given meds I'm allergic to, was given a bi-polar med when I'm not nor have ever been bipolar.

It's very simple and very effective. I don't use a dropper since it isn't big enough in the beginning of treating my allergies. I do it every few hours as I develop symptoms. I finally after a week I become able to go much longer in between doses. With seasonal allergies, 2-3 weeks usually did me until the following year.

My daughter has had asthma and allergy issues since birth and it got much worse the past few years. She is now 15 and free of medications for the first time ever! Last fall she was on seven different medications for asthma/allergies. The side effects were terrible and she had severe panic attacks as a result. She missed endless days of school and activities. She was in a vicious cycle because asthma and emotions are so closely related. She saw countless specialists and they kept giving her more and more medications that did not help. Allergy shots caused severe reactions so we stopped those. Not a single thing worked that the traditional medical field offered.

The only thing that has helped her is chiropractic care. She sees a chiropractor that performs the Torque Release Technique. He uses a small spring loaded tool that thunks the spine back in place. It is non-violent and does not hurt her one bit. Whenever the top of her spine is out she fills up with phlem and has a hard time taking a full breath. When a different part of the spine is out she gets sharp pains in the chest. These are only two examples but each symptom of her asthma can be allevaited by an adjustment. It has taken nine months of 1-4 adjustments a week to get her to this point. NO MEDICATIONS!!! She asks to go to the chiropractor whenever her symptoms emerge before her scheduled adjustment day. Now, nine months later, she is off every medication and no longer has panic attacks. Her asthma specialist is amazed and a lot annoyed. Her breathing tests have improved dramatically and she is happy!! The concept of chiropractic care is that the body heals itself from the inside out when the spine is in alignment. It takes time and repeatition to get the spine to align and stay there. She still goes for adjustments every week but that will eventually move to every other week and then monthly. The time and commitment has been worth the effort. My daughter has her life back and that is so important for a teenager!! Her body is truly healing itself from the inside out!!

Local Honey Cures Allergies

I have been taking local honey for years and just recently moved to the great state of Maine and have begun a regimen of local raw honey here.

I use to suffer from allergy problems most severely, I took most sugar out of my diet and replaced it with local honey. Not only am I allergy free, I do not get colds or flu- even as my children were growing up and bringing home all kinds of contagious ailments from school, social activities- folks could be around me dropping like flies from viruses, colds etc.(For many years I worked in an orthodontic office dealing mainly with children with all kinds of germs floating about) I did not succumb because I believe local honey boosted my immune system to the point of immunity from most common ailments. I am 47 years old and have not gone a day without consuming local honey- I cannot recall the last time I became ill with a cold or flu. I believe in this statement most whole heartedly-Local Honey cures allergies. (I do believe it should be local honey consumed and all the better- raw local honey.)Also- raw honey cures many skin ailments, slow healing sores covered with raw honey heal more speedily and have little scarring.

I should mention that I am a sustainable farmer, growing most of the food I eat- I do not have health insurance and have relied on natural aids to healing. I have had lacerations that should have required stitches heal up well before the physicians of today would recommend by using raw honey and epsom salt soakings. I am a firm believer in natural cures- not because of what ifs but because of what is...all that the earth naturally provides can cure most ailments. One last comment- I would not be without Raw Organic Apple Cider Vinegar in my cupboard. It cures almost everything from headaches to sinusitis to dry skin.

Thank you for this wonderful alternative site to RX's that cost an arm and a leg and often provide horrible side effects. To get to the root of any ailment, one should start naturally...

Take care-

All the best,

Bee Pollen

Bee pollen works by desensitizing your body to the pollen that travels through the air and causes your body to react. With small daily doses, your body builds up its defenses to fight off the allergens and avoid reaction in the future. Buy local if possible so it helps you build resistance against daily allergens.
