[YEA] 11/02/2008: Sara from Lexington , KY writes: "I've been having a yeast infection for about a month. With all the usual symptoms -itching -dryness -some white discharge -no odor I've had yeast infections before, generally due to antibiotics. So, naturally, I tried to cure it via over-the-counter anti-fungal cream suppositories (I think it was Monostat). From my experience, I should feel relief after a day of using this treatment. I waited about 4 days, but the treatment didn't phase my symptoms. I tried it again, waited about 5 days, still no cure. I went into a walk-in clinic, they assured me I didn't have an STD (which I was afraid of) but a different type of yeast infection that the cream doesn't cure. So, they prescribed me Diflucan (spell check) with a refill just in case. I took the first pill, waited 2 days and took the second. This didn't help me either.
I went to my regular doctor, she took a culture to find out what type of yeast infection it is. The culture took 7-10days. After the 8th day my doctor called to inform me that I didn't have a yeast infection.
Now, it's my belief that doctors are idiots. Both doctors offices took cultures yet only one said I had a yeast infection.
So, I used the old Apple Cider Vinegar method. I ran a bath a little less than ankle deep and poured about 1 1/2 cups of Apple Cider Vinegar. This did not present immediate relief, but after soaking for 30mins, my symptoms had subsided. Thank you Bragg for organic Apple Cider Vinegar and thank you to my ex boyfriend who left it at my house.
There are some draw backs to this remedy. The smell is not pleasant and it made my vagina very dry. So, I recommend some sort of women's lubrication (I used Vagasil 4day moist treatment). Don't use something that's not made for women because that can cause a ph imbalance (which leads to yeast infections). I had to use the Apple Cider Vinegar method twice, once in a day. And I also drank 2teaspoons of Apple Cider Vinegar mixed with 1 cup hot water and honey to taste. With enough honey, it tastes like Apple cider.
This was the only treatment that worked for me. And after a month of being uncomfortable and itchy down there, I think all the women here knows what kind of relief it brings feel normal again."

[YEA] 10/31/2008: Cailin from Philadelphia, PA writes: "I love my crazy mother. The random remedies that she recommends always seem to be nonsense at first, but they work EVERY time!!! I have been a huge fan of earth clinic since my mom introduced me years ago when I was a very very poor college student. ACV basically works for everything. Clears up your skin, good for your insides - outsides, and apparently yeast infections. I also have been adding it to my dogs water bowl and it has cleared up her horrible skin (which i have spent HUNDREDS of dollars at the vet's office trying to cure). I have been in AGONY the past 24 hours with this horrible yeast infection. I get one atleast every other month and I always use that stupid, expensive monistat or vagisil. They are messy and unsuccessful in easing the pain. This morning I hopped on earth clinic, and sure enough ACV was the cure. I put some on a wet washcloth and held it on my lady area for about 3 minutes. It burned like hell at first, but it worked!! I'm going to soak in the bath now, as I'm sure that will be much relief as well. I have had problems with 'yeast' since I was a teen. I have been on those "Nature's Cure" yeast pills, but they aren't really helping. I'm going to start taking acidophilus pills cause I heard that they are great. I love you earth clinic!!! i just want to smother you with hugs and kisses!! thank you so much for the relief."

[YEA] 09/15/2008: Erica from Colorado, USA writes: "I went to the dr. 3 weeks ago because I was feeling a little irritated down there and was diagnosed with vaginitis and a yeast infection, I was prescribed metronidazole (which burns like hell!!) and diflucan, I was fine after the first 5 days however, my menstrual cycle came and brought back the yeast, the redness and irritation was downright awful, I got a refill of diflucan 2- this time taken 3 days apart but it didn't soothe the irritation. I stumbled upon this website at lunch time and thought I need to try this because this redness and soreness is driving me crazy !!!! I almost went to the supermarket and purchased Heinz ACV that would have been a mistake, [ORGANIC ACV] works best.
I filled the tub up past my ankles with semi hot water and a 1-1/2 cup of organic ACV sat in it and squatted and waved the water upwards towards my vajayjay, (I was too scared to try the douche). Right now I feel at peace! I am typing this testimonial fresh out of the tub in some cotton panties RELIEVED!!!! not to mention I am sipping on a glass of water with 2 table spoons of ACV. At this moment I don't have fire engine red labia minora lips, I will keep you informed if my condition changes."

[YEA] 09/05/2008: Chelsea from Scottsboro, AL writes: "I have suffered with a Urinary Tract Infection for about a week now. I was taking AZO and it wasn't working at all. My doctor prescribed me some antibiotic's called Bactrim that was supposed to help with the infection. It DID help...but it ALSO left me with a Yeast Infection. When I got on this site and saw all of the responses to apple cider vinegar i took off to my kitchen to find some. I put 1/2 cup of it in my bath water and soaked for about 30 mins. IT WORKS!!! When I got out i put some on a rag and dabbed it on the "area" and I'm feeling better already!!! This website is WONDERFUL!!!"

Low and behold it does wonder! I don't feel any pain and the irritation, the pain its all gone. I used 2 cups of Apple cider vinegar and 2 tsp of epsom salt. Voila!"

[YEA] 08/07/2008: Amanda from Valdosta, Georgia writes: "I tryed the ACV remedy... both ways. I had seen that it was recommended that I use about a 1/2 of a cup in my bath water and soak for a while *(20 minutes)* and the itching would go to way... It worked...however it did not work instantly. By the time my soaking was done... the itch was infact gone. Now, the other thing that was recommended was to douche with ACV, this DID NOT WORK FOR ME.. it burnt to the point that I was in tears... I do not recommend this for anyone."

[YEA] 07/28/2008: Katherine from Kenai, Alaska writes: "%uFEFF OMG! Thank you everyone! For 2 wks I have been itching and it was driving me nuts! Vagisil only worked moderately and didn't last long. I didn't have the organic variety of acv, only the reg heinz bottle but figured it was worth a shot. Why not eh? I soaked a rag in a glass of water and 1 tbsp of acv then applied it directly over my vagina (only the outer parts are infected) and shazaam!!! NO MORE ITCH! I also immediately drank 2 tsp of the stuff before this just to make sure it was in the system. I will continue with this rag soak until I can get into the tub tonight. What a blessing this page was to find."

[YEA] 06/28/2008: Christine from Montville, New Jersey writes: "For about two weeks I have had a terrible yeast infection plus UTI. I tried monistat powder and cream,it helped that day but after that it came back. Now Iam on vacation and I will not let this infection keep me from having fun. So my dad told me I can drink Apple cider vinegar mixed with alittle bit of water. What I did was drink 1 glass of this mixture and then I took one cup of vinegar poured it in warm water and took a bath in it.In a matter of about 15-20 minutes both the pain from UTI and the itching from the yeast infection was gone.(No Douching) Now Iam just drinking the cider and water for a couple more days just to make sure everything is cured."

[YEA] 01/07/2008: SJ from olive branch, mississippi writes: "I first wanted to say be careful when dabbing ACV undiluted on the pelvic area because it can cause an off balance PH in the vagina and you can end up with BV! But it really does work. As i was reading the testimonies of how quick it worked for others i recalled how quickly it worked for me. Just this saturday i had the discharge, itch and burning. After taking ACV before bed i woke up with minimal syptoms. I will continue to take it so that i don't have the infections any more and because the other nutritional benefits are remarkable!"

[NAY] 12/31/2007: Pam from Los Angeles, CA writes: "I wanted to share my experience with everyone with Yogurt for a yeast infection. I started getting a yeast infection so I searched online and found this wonderful site! I read all the different home remedies for a yeast infection. Immediatly I ran to my kitchen and took two teaspoons of Apple Cider Vinegar. It was night so I went to sleep, when I woke up in the morning I hadn't gotten any worse and I was feeling a little better. So I gave myself 2 1/2 teaspoons that morning and night and a shallow bath with 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar. Which worked wonders!! Stopped the itching.
But on the third day I was still feeling a little uncomfortable. SO I decided to go and buy fat free organic plain yogurt and a turkey baster. I laid on my back and inserted the yogurt with the turkey baster. I waited the recommended 20 minutes. But I did NOT feel the cool relief as everyone stated. After the 20 minutes I cleaned up (it was messy but not that bad. Have a lot of paper towels on hand) and took a shower. But as soon as I pushed the yogurt out. I immediatly started to itch WORST than ever! Both my outsides and insides were itching worst than they had to begin with!! It was horrible. This remedy DID NOT WORK AT ALL! I was pacing the floor when my boyfriend asked me what made it feel better to begin with. I told him a bath with Apple Cider Vinegar. So I ran into the bathroom and quickly jumped into a bath with 1/2 cup ACV. It was INSTANT relief! I also took in the cleaned out turkey baster and used it as a type of douche in the bath tub.
As soon as I did this the rest of the yogurt came out and I felt again, instant releif. I let that bath go down and ran another one with 1/2 cup of ACV. I set in the bath probably a total of 40 mins. This morning I feel a lot better but still have some discomfort. I will be going to the whole food store to see what I can buy to make all this go away. But use the yogurt at your own risk. It was new, I just bought it that day. And it was a nightmare experience! All I can say is THANK GOD for Apple Cider Vinegar!! It works wonders!"

[YEA] 08/01/2007: Keys from Fremont, CA writes: "I got this yeast infection a month ago right after my period. I started feeling itchy before my period and I believe period made it worse. It was itchy, burning and red. This was my first time and I went to see a doctor. She said its external and prescribed a cream that I applied for 7 days but didn't help. It spread internally and I went to see another gynec who confirmed that this was internal moderate Yeast infection. He gave me two pills to take 3 days apart. I took it, it cured my internal but I still had external infection. After a month I got tired and yesterday I was searching online for home remedies and came acrosss this site. I ran to a store and bought the following: Apple cider vinegar, Iodized sea salt, craneberry juice, Acidophilus, cotton balls and a yogurt with living culture. I drank one glass of craneberry juice, took one acidophiuls pill, drank 2table spoon ACV and a glass of water, ate one cup of yogurt and took a hot bath for 30 minute with 1 cup of ACV and 2 cups of iodized sea salt. Also at night drank another glass of ACV and water , took 2nd acidophilus tablet and damp some ACV/water on the affected vaginal area. Today morning i woke up and I felt amazing. Finally after a month my burning is gone and I can walk freely. My symptons are almost gone. I am going to continue doing this for couple of days. This is great !! Thanks to all of you who shared their experience."

[YEA] 06/16/2007: Chrissy from Akron, Ohio writes: "I get bacteria vaginitis like no other, or so I thought. So when my body started discharging in abnormal ways, I freaked out b/c it has never been like this before. I go to the doctor at least 3 times every 3 months for b.v. After doing some research I figured out it was a yeast infection. I didnt want to use the otc medicines b/c I have a sensitive body. I dont know how but I ran across this website and found the cure Apple cider vinegar. All I did was put about a 1/4 cup in warm bath water, and stayed in the tub for about 20 min. When I got out, I felt so much better, the itch (it was killing me) was gone and the discharged stopped. It is such a blessing to finally find something that got rid of this, and the natural way. I plan on doing this again tonight. I love this website, it is so amazing. Thanks!!!"

[YEA] 06/11/2007: Megan from Portland, Oregon writes: "I have chronic yeast infections (monthly, around my ovulation time). It bothers me to take the antibiotic treatment, since I know they can be harmful, and the over the counter vaginal creams burn me to the point that I believe I am allergic to them. The last time I took the antibiotic, it didn't even work, so I was thrilled to find this website. I tried the ACV treatment today and it went very well. I drank 2 tblsp of ACV in a tall glass of water, and I bathed in a hot bath with about a cup of the ACV in it. I didn't have a turkey baster, so I flushed with the cupping of my hand and tried to get the water in and out. Most symptoms were gone immediatly and I will repeat this tomorrow once or twice. So far, I am absolutely amazed at the results. I really appreciate this information you have shared. Note: I also cut all sugar and flour from my diet right now, to help, since I know the bacteria feeds on this."

[YEA] 04/12/2007: Vinny from Sharon, MA writes: "I recently had taken antibiotics for a sinus infection and ended up with a male yeast infection with severe external blistering and irritation. Found your website and read about acv for sinus and yeast. Not willing to go back on meds that caused this nasty thing I started on 2 tbsp organic acv and 1/4 tsp baking soda as internal and straight acv for external cleansing of blistered area .Did this 3 to 4 times daily. It burned for a few seconds but then all itching and burning stopped. In 4 days the blistering and irritation were gone and have not returned. Am still using acv to finish curing this sinus infection and other diabetes related problems also noticed better & easier digestion. Thanks for a great batch of info Highly recommend this site to all."

I put 1/2 cup in a warm bath and soaked for 30 min. I feel so much better as I am writing this. I actually was having trouble concentrating before because of the pain. I am not sure if this is the cure as of yet but it has relieved my symptoms by at least 70% Thanks for all the great info."

[NAY] 03/23/2007: Dallas from Dallas, Texas writes: "Ok. After reviewing this website I was so excited about curing my self at home, and not waiting on a Dr. Visit as I usually do. Unfortunately, I have yeast or BV infections at least once every six months, (I guess I should be grateful according to some). Which I believe comes from my horrible eating habits and limited veggie intake. So once I read through each email I made a list and headed directly to the Health food store and my list included; acidophilus pills, ACV, plain no fat/no sugar yogurt, and pomegranate cranberry juice. I wanted to try each remedy at a time so I could actually see the results. So since ACV was highly recommended, I tried it first. I started of with a 2 tbsp of ACV in water, and chocked it down, which is a taste one must acquire. Later, I followed up with an ACV hot bath and douche. I did this for two days straight both morning and night and it only made my condition worse. A couple of days later, I tried the yogurt, which felt great at first, but it only covered-up the condition for about 4 hours. Since neither remedy gave immediate results, I went ahead and use my last prescribed treatment of Clindesse, which seems to be my only hope. Needless to say, I used the Clindesse on Wed, and the majority of my symptoms were gone by Wed. Night. Come Thursday evening I felt a slight discomfort and I douched with Hot water and Iodized salt (which was recommended in only (1) feedback response), clinching tightly to my faith (that I would not be harmed in anyway since this remedy had one recommendation). This morning, I feel great, all symptoms have disappeared and I feel normal again..In conclusion I tried a variety of remedies within these last five days, but Clindesse and a Iodized salt/warm water douche seem to do the trick. (I guess it works the same as if you would gargle with warm/salt water. PS. For what it's worth I have added acidophilus pills to my every day diet."

[YEA] 02/13/2007: Shauna from Vancouver, Canada writes: "ACV worked for my Yeast Infection. I had already used Monistat (1 Day) and the result was nil. I also used the anti-fungal cream that came with it, with minimal results. The itch was driving me crazy, so my next stop was going to be Vagisil (which I've never used before.) But then I searched for natural cures online and found YOUR lovely site! I drank 2 Tbsp of Omega Nutrition's unrefined Apple Cider Vinegar (it's organic) in water, plugging my nose as I did. Then I sat in half a cup of it in a low bath for 20 minutes, pouring it over the front of myself as I added it to the bath. Voila! Three days of discomfort was over! I'm never buying useless ovules again."
