FLAXSEED OIL

11/14/2010: Tommy from North York, On, Canada writes: "Hello everyone,
I just wonder if someone could tell me where to buy the flax seed oil from Toulouse in France. I asked my sister who lives there to buy but she couldn't find it. It's called in french '' l'huile de Lin'' right? or '' L'huile de grain de Lin''? Thank you so much."

Replies
11/14/2010: Francisca from Michelbach-le-bas, Alsace, France replies: "Hi Tommy, yes, it is called huile de lin. Although I live in France I don't think that I have ever bought it here as I live next to Germany and Switzerland and I buy most of my stuff in those two countries. You could try the health shops or otherwise pharmacies with a health section as I think they have it in capsules. That is also better because of the oxidation. Otherwise you will have to try online but I think that I have bought it in a pharmacy here..."

[YEA]  Meth from Los Angeles writes: "I just received a prompt response from NOW Foods about the fulvic acid content of their colloidal mineral products. Based on what you already told us, I think they mean that 50 to 74% by DRY weight is fulvic acid, which should fit within your specs!! They have no numbers on humic acid content, but probably the balance is humic acid. Interestingly, this product costs only one-third of the Vital Earth fulvic mineral complex you reviewed the other day. What are your thoughts?"

Replies
Ted from Bangkok, Thailand replies: "I went to the website mentioned at now foods which lists the following ingredients: http://www.nowfoods.com/index.php?action=itemdetail&item_id=3248
Ingredients: Fulvic Acid, Water, Crystalline Fructose, Magnesium Gluconate, Citric Acid, Calcium Lactate, Natural Raspberry Flavors, Natural Color, Potassium Benzoate, Potassium Sorbate, Manganese Gluconate, Ferrous Gluconate, Stevia Extract (Stevia rebaudiana) (Leaf), Zinc Sulfate and Potassium Iodide.

If people are not knowledgeable about ingredients, it could be a real problem.

Here are some problem ingredients:
1. Calcium lactate
2. Ferrous Gluconate
3. Zinc sulfate

Other ingredients are o.k., even the preservatives, which are potassium benzoate and potassium sorbate!

Calcium lactate (cellular toxic in a Ringer's solution for live cellular cultures) and ferrous gluconate (most people don't need iron and excess is leading cause of heart disease) are often biologically toxic, while zinc sulfate often leads to vomiting, but in small does might be o.k.

I must praise that they did add in manganese, a very common deficiency in U.S., which causes baldness in a majority of men and partial baldness in women and controls sexual hormonal to some extent.

Most products for fulvic acid are generally not perfect, why that is so I don't know, but U.S. products are generally like this anyway."

[YEA]  Meth writes: "Hello Ted: I am so glad that you checked out the ingredients as listed on NOW Foods website because for some reason they include more compounds than the list on the iHerb.com website (www.iherb.com/store/ProductDetails.aspx?c=Herbs&pid=NOW-01406) where I purchase my supplies. This may be a recent revision of the formulation or perhaps their idea of "new and improved!" Lucky for us, however, the listed ingredients for the regular flavor (no flavor) product at the NOW Foods website (www.nowfoods.com/index.php?action=itemdetail&item_id=3345) does not include these other less than desirable compounds, and thus that is the one I am going to order. It seems that at last with your gracious and generous help we have found something acceptable and reasonably priced right here in the good old U.S.A. Thanks again for all the generous help, and I hope that Earth Clinic would post this information for others to benefit from as well. Have a great week"

GLYCERIN- FREE HAIR PRODUCTS

04/30/2011: Sheila from San Diego, Ca, Usa writes: "Hi All,

Does anyone know of any brand that has glycerin-free hair care products, and also soap, lotion, etc.?

Biogenel is one I've found, but I dunno about it since there seems to be a form of glycerin still in the ingredients of their shampoo.

I'm looking for glycerin-free to experiment and see if what I read on this website about glycerin is true. Thanks! The_murdocks2004(at)yahoo(dot)com

HUMIC ACID

07/05/2011: Nithya from Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu writes: "Reading about humic acid in ulcerative colitis , I just want to know where can I get? Will that be in capsule form or liquid? If anyone could let it know it will be grateful for my mother who is sufferring from UC. Please help me..."

07/05/2011: Rick from San Diego, Ca replies: "I have an almost exactly similar question regarding humic acid. I am only able to find humic acid in the tablet form online and was wondering if the tablet is just as effective as the liquid. And if it is not as good as the liquid, where can one buy the liquid form of humic acid? Thanks!"
07/05/2011: Elly from Topeka, Kansas replies: "Hi Rick, I'm looking fulvic or humic acid too. I think it can be bought at local garden nurseries and I saw some on Ebay. The nurseries don't charge much and they seem to be less diluted. I don't know which is best or safe for humans to eat though. I think I've come across Ted talking about the powder form, not sure what his take on the liquid."
07/07/2011: Rick from San Diego, Ca replies: "I have found fulvic acid on the internet that is for human consumption and it is a fairly decent price as well. I think Earth Clinic is allowing us to post products regarding fulvic acid and humic acid due to the difficulty it is to find them. But like I said I have not found Humic acid which is what I am personally interested in. For the two products of fulvic acid I found though just go to google and type in "Pure Fulvic Minerals" for one of the products, and for the other type in "Optimally Organic fulvic acid". Not sure which product would be better, I have never used either of them. I'm new to the humic and fulvic acid treatments. But I can't find Humic acid anywhere unless it's in a tablet form!"
07/07/2011: Elly from Topeka, Kansas replies: "Hi Rick, I'm still searching too. Thanks for these leads. Been reading that many sources come from China and sometimes carried in rusted metal trucks. I was looking into buying some from a plant nursery but came across a review on Amazon for such that they did a lab test and it contained lead and arsenic. It was a person with the AMazon Real Namee Badge saying "This particular formulation (Huminova FAP 70%) contains 10% Lead and 5% Arsenic. (Based on sample tested in the lab 30 July 2010. )" I guess I won't be taking that shortcut. I saw another website that looked promising and at the bottom it talks about the different locales humic acid is processed and the problems. They get theirs from south east USA and say they did the lab work to show it is good quality and no heavy metals. http://www.optimallyag.com I sent them a question asking if its safe for humans. God bless!"
10/12/2011: Alsmeer from Nyc, Ny replies: "I know of two sources: Source Naturals has ImmuNow with humic acid and there is the original European formulation, Humicin, sold now in the US. They differ in price and potency. I do not know which is stronger."

I talked with the pharmacist and managing director and was told that though it is meant for veterinary use, human use should be O.K. As the production standard is equivalent to human drug. Besides it's a B.P. Formula that is accepted the world over. You may contact them and ask for small bottle with dropper (not offered in their standard size bottle). MAGNESIUM CHLORIDE

12/10/2011: Rudy from Lucena, Quezon, Philippines writes: "From Rudy of Lucena City, Philippines to Bill of San Fernando, Philippines

Hi Bill, where can I buy magnesium chloride flakes in Manila, also is it bad to use magnesium chloride oil transdermal therapy for people with high blood pressure? I often have leg cramp every night and have high blood pressure."

Replies
12/11/2011: Bill from San Fernando, Philippines replies: "Hi Rudy... You can maybe try to get magnesium chloride or Magniesium Oil at Megamall SM or Mall of Asia SM at their Healthy Options stores there. If you can't find the Magnesium Chloride, get the Magnesium Sulfate(Epsom salts) from Healthy Options -- it is very cheap to buy and only costs 99 pesos per large milk carton. I take the Epsom salts orally and I also put it into a small garden flower sprayer as a solution and spray it all over my body after showers and it is transdermally absorbed similar to the magnesium chloride. This is also a good way of getting alot of magnesium into your body more quickly than the oral route. You can also directly spray over areas that have cramp problems and this will also help to reduce BP.

I do have chemical grade Magnesium Chloride crystals as well, but I bought this in Thailand and only use it for more major problems if and when they arise. Other forms that you can buy for oral use are Magnesium Citrate or Magnesium Gluconate -- which are also definetely sold at the Healthy Option stores.

For high blood pressure there is a herb that is quite useful called Tinospora cordifolia -- called Makabuhay in Filipino -- and you can purchase stem sticks quite cheaply at Quiapo Market in Quezon. This market sells herbs and they will have Makubuhay.

Preparation of Makabuhay Decoction

* Cut three 15" sticks into smaller three inch sticks.

* Bash the smaller sticks and open them up.

* Throw the sticks into 2 liters of water and simmer on low heat until the liquid is reduced to 1 liter.

* Cool, strain and store in fridge.

* Take a third of a glass of this decoction twice a day with any fresh, non-processed fruit juice(makabuhay tastes very bitter).

Makbuhay helps to thin the blood and reduce BP by diuretic action, helping to remove excess cholesterol from the blood and it also helps to remove excess calcium. It is also advisable to take a mineral supplement while using this decoction over the longer term because of its mild diuretic effects.

Also, try and reduce vegetable oils, sugar, dairy products and refined salt in your diet -- these are all causative factors in high blood pressure conditions. Use VCO, stevia(safe herbal sweetener) and sea salt instead in your diet. This will all help to reduce high blood pressure."

12/11/2011: Rudy from Lucena, Quezon, replies: "Thanks a lot Bill, I'll try what you suggested, I'll inform you later with the result. Merry Christmas and more blessings to all..."

MINERAL WATER

YEA

[YEA]  Adele writes: "What is the best mineral water? The Super Market has Perrier, Evian, Fugi this one has a high pH of 7.5 is this to much? Also one from Germany, Italy. It seemed after I started to drink mineral water last month that my skin on my jaw looked saggy"

Replies
Ted from Bangkok, Thailand replies: "Some mineral waters is high on calcium. I prefer ones with more magnesium and less calcium. So to correct them just add magnesium chloride to it. One flake will do. The calcium from both the milk AND the water (with high calcium) is responsible for your sagging skin. You need plenty of vitamin c, b and magnesium and citrates for improved skin.

If you are low on budget, then drink tap water, but you MUST ADD sodium thiosulfate and borax to your drinking water. Since now they add chlorine and fluoride, which is well known to stunt plant growth and cause sickness in a lot of people."

MMS

08/08/2011: Mysterri from Vancouver, Bc, Canada writes: "I ordered a bottle of the MMS along with a bottle of the activator from Project Green Life and was ripped off by a woman named Tammy. I never received the product and am out 45$ for the experince. I hope in the future to be able to actually order and receive a starter kit from a reputable source. Any ideas on where I can find a trusted seller of MMS?"

See second paragraph. If you paid by charge card, you should be able to get a refund. I don't use MMS but, from what I understand, the FDA raided a number of natural or alternative markets in the USA recently - maybe Project Green Life was one of them."
