Trichomoniasis (Trich) Remedies
"Trichomoniasis, sometimes referred to as "trich", is a common cause of vaginitis. It results both from shared external water sources (hot tubs, wet bathing suits, wet towels and washcloths), and as a sexually transmitted disease (STD). It is caused by the single-celled protozoan parasite Trichomonas vaginalis. Trichomoniasis is primarily an infection of the urogenital tract; the most common site of infection is the urethra and the vagina in women. It is most common in women and uncircumcised men. For uncircumcised men, the most common site for the infection is the tip of the penis." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trichomoniasis
Symptoms of trich can appear as early as 4 days after sex with an infected partner. But trichomoniasis often goes undiagnosed because symptoms may not appear until later, if at all.
... "In females, symptoms can include:
* abundant or frothy vaginal discharge ranging in color from gray to green to yellow, with a watery to milky consistency
* foul odor
* itching and tenderness in or around the vagina
* pain during sex
* bleeding after sex
* pain during urination
* soreness or itching of the labia and inner thighs
* swollen labia
Males who have trichomoniasis often don't show any symptoms." http://kidshealth.org/parent/infections/std/trichomoniasis.html

01/23/2009: Bobbie from Washington, DC writes: "I don't know whether or not you have looked into this, but there is another vaginal infection that plagues many women. It is called Trichomoniasis, or Trich for short. It is more prevelant than Bacterial Vaginosis. And much more dangerous. Can you include that in your remedies? Maybe someone out there has a remedy for it. It is another infection that doctors prescribe Flagyl for and the infection usually comes right back."
04/21/2009: Frustrated from Dillon, SC replies: "I can really relate to what Bobbie had to say about Trichomoniasis. I have been diagnosed with this several times and receive the same treatment (Flagyl). It doesn't work and my partner was treated too. I want to know if the medication is suppose to kill the parasite or just relieve the symptoms. I want to know a treatment to get this parasite out of my body, permanently!!!"
08/11/2009: Syd from Des Moines, Ia replies: "I have not tried this herbal remedy yet (due to lack of $, even though its not that expensive) but searched herbs articles for vaginal odors and discharges to find that poor diet leads to excessive acidosis in the body which produces protective mucous. Trichomoniasis, std's, vaginosis, and viruses can be cured with herbal help!"

[YEA] 11/05/2009: Lulu from Nyc, Ny writes: "I was diagnosed with trichomoniasis back in december of 2008, and was extremely fraustrated when was diagnosed with it again earlier this year. my gyn prescribed flagyl the first time, which temperarily cured it, but when he prescribed it the second time i decided to look for a natural remedy because i was afraid that my body would have built an immunity to the flagyl. i reserched and found that tree tea oil was proven to remedy trich. i purchased a twin pack of feminine douche and i filled 1/4 of the bottle with the tree oil and the rest of the bottle with water. i did the douche once and then i waited 5 days and did it again. i waited a week and then i went to my gyn to see if it had worked. my test came back clear, and i asked my bf to use some and i have not had an issue since."
