12/04/2011: Cityboy from Chicago, Il: "Hi, I have been having an issue with my left hand after working as a dishwasher at a well known Market known for selling whole foods and other natural products. It hurts between the the thumb knuckle down to the wrist. I find it difficult to do some daily tasks. After being fired for my injury and not performing the daily repetitive actions with my hands it's still sore. It has not completely healed. Any suggestions??? Thanks in advance EC!"

I recently have been suffering pain and headaches from it. Any suggestions for natural treatment? I am a vegan and currently breastfeeding."

08/07/2011: Rani from San Antonio, Tx, Usa: "Hi, I have been having this severe pain on left side of my neck and going upwards to my head for 6 weeks now. My doctor thinks it is related to muscles so, I had xray done was negative, I had massage done but only helped for 1 day. I went to chiropractor and had 3 weeks of session. I am still in pain. It hurst more when I move my neck. Last weekend, I had to drive for 4 hours straight and it killed me. The pain is worse now. I think the pain was getting better before last weekend. Should I do a cat scan done or MRI or wait a little longer before asking for a daignosis?

Thanks Rani"

08/07/2011: Ti from Houston, Usa replies: "Rani,

Please google 'pranic healing' and learn more about it. If you find a pranic healer, your pain can be relieved by them in person or even over a long distance, if there is noone close to your neighborhood. It is the most beneficial way of shifting out of chronic pain. I have experienced it myself with a very painful and stiff right hand after a voleyball accident.

Good luck"

08/03/2011: Connie from Slc, Ut: "Hi Jae and Robin ; Maybe this will help. Firstly, for pain of unknown cause , B-12. Deficiency or Malabsorption of it will present with pain, usually in feet and legs in the beginning, then it spreads. It has an uncanny way of normalizing appetite. (increase or decrease as needed) It is also involved with proper vascular function , capillary strength, and proper blood clotting. I recommend a sublingual lozenge of Methyl-B12, (methylcobalamin). It is an easy way to absorb this vitamin without having to hope that the body is having to make the numerous conversions that make it available. Also, for weight management, I recommend increasing Potassium foods. We tend to dismiss "water weight", but proper distribution of fluids is a part of weight balance. Potassium foods also have a way of normalizing appetite. Of course, they don't work alone, one needs to supply amino acids, fats , and some carbohydrates to be satisfied. I have personally found that when my B-12 is low, I have unusual cravings. Since you've "caught " this early, it is possible that a trial of B-12 will help quickly. Consider 500-1000 mcg. Daily of a Methyl-B12 lozenge. They come in 1000 and 5000 mcg. and can be divided."

09/25/2009: Crystal from Salyersville, Ky, USA: "Middle of back pain just at night...

Help! For the last week my back hurts really bad at night. It starts around 11 pm after I get settled down and gets worse up until I findly go to sleep,,but with alot of help per pain meds and muscle relaxers. In the morning it eases off as I move around some.

The pain is in the mid-section of my back going straight across. Could it be my kidneys? I will tell you my ailments and what treatments I am doing. I have systemic lupus, fibromalgia and all the problems that come with both. For about the last month I have been drinking a glass of filtered water with a pich of borax, 1 teas. of baking soda, 30 drops of hydrogen peroxide 3%, and a capful of ACV. I had been using regular ACV but the last 4 days I have used raw vinegar with the mother in it. I am taking d-3 2000 iu, b-12 bilingual, potassium, magnesium 250 and calcium 600. I am still taking some rx meds which include ultram and zanaflex.

I stopped taking nexium and prozac without any problems.

What would cause my back to hurt only at night? I thought I was going to have to go to the ER a couple times it was so bad. Nothing helps or aggravates the pain, like walking sitting, laying. I sit with a heating pad last night with no help."

09/25/2009: Loren from Queens, NY replies: "Hi Crystal: Have you thought of using castor oil for the back pain? I have read many stories of people being pain free after using warm castor oil soaked on a piece of flannel cloth and leaving it overnight. Keep doing it until the pain is gone. You can google it and see for yourself. Hope this helps you."

04/13/2009: Carol from Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada: "Four years ago my left leg started hurting for no apparent reason. I had burning pain in the front thigh and down the shin. I also could not lift my knee more than a couple of inches, nor could I get up from a crouch. It was like the muscle in the front of my thigh had locked up and stopped working. Six months ago, after a sudden cramping in my right groin, my right leg started doing the same thing. Chiropractic and acupuncture relieve the pain for a few days but it doesn't fix anything. I have seen osteopaths and neurologists. I have had x-rays, a CT scan, an MRI and a few other tests. They found a long-standing spondylolysthesis that I know happened in a boating accident 25 years ago. While this explains a few of the issues, it doesn't explain them all - and nobody can tell me how to fix anything. I have been told that "sometimes we just have to live with things and there are no answers" - not acceptable in my book. The best they can come up with is naproxin (anti-inflammatory) and morphine for the pain so I can sleep. Still, a "good" night sleep is 3-4 hours at most and I can't put on shoes or socks without help (Thank God for my husband), nor can I use stairs without something to hold on to. After the latest waiting list (4 months)a specialist told my there is no hernia involved. Now I am on a 6 month list to see a spinal specialist but I was also told I should have another MRI as well (11 month waiting list). Please, any suggestions would be gratefully accepted."

Replies
04/13/2009: Renate from Parrish, FL replies: "Dear Carol, I have had to deal with constant pain for almost 30 years. I do understand and I also understand the long waiting game. I have been rear ended 9 times (I have never had an at fault car accident) Prior to the car accidents I had constant pain for 14 months and saw 14 doctors. My symptoms did not match what was really happening. I finally discovered I had two large kidney stones (yet the doctor said this is not my problem and that we have not found the problem yet) in each ureter and had MAJOR surgery. I knew this was what my problem was and after the surgery I was finally pain free! A few months later was my 1st rear ending. With no stomach muscles to support my core (due to a 12 inch incision above the pubic hair) my back took the brunt of the force. I was flat on the floor because I couldn't sit. And again, I went from doctor to doctor to get out of pain and again they said nothing was wrong. I FORCED the neurosurgeon to perform the mylogram and he totally changed his tune when he saw the results. I had a huge ruptured disk. Had the surgery and was again pain free. Then I got rear ended again 3 months later. All in all I had 4 back surgeries. The surgeon who did the 3rd back surgery (spinal fusion) advised me to swim after 10 months of a steel brace. I wish he told me to swim BEFORE the surgery, perhaps it could have gotten me out of pain. My two sons colored in their coloring books while I swam at the gym every day. I got stronger and stronger and stronger. Somewhere along the way, my neck went bad, but swimming helped with that as well. It was a delayed whip lash, it didn't show up right away, but months later. Then I got thoracic outlet symdrom (after another car accident) and had surgery again after 1 year of PT. The PT helped, but had to have the surgery. This PT was different. She was an alternative PT. A PT that did MET, cranial sacral as well as other therapies. These techniques are done by a small number of PTs. I saw her for 7 years and she got me through those 7 years. Moved to Florida and yep got rear ended again 3 more times. (No, I was not the driver for all of them). I did accunpunture and massage therapy. Those two also helped a great deal. I also did chiropractic as well. I finally realized that chiropractic was not going to cure anything for me and quit. I did the arthritis swim classes at the Y. (I don't have arthritis) These classes got me pain free. It was unbelieveable, that's how much it helped. The problem was working and doing those classes was impossible. They don't have them at night. Continued acunpuncture and found an alternative therapist after my last rear ending. He then started me on strength training with a trainer. That was also extremely helpful. This all started when I was 27 and I will be 57 this year! Don't ever ever give up. My last car accident was 5 years ago and I'm still working at it. I am doing 20 minutes to fitness. They are nautilus machines but are different I think it's Med Ex. 20 minutes each week and I'm getting stronger. I workout at home on a recumbent bike and a stretching program. I also work out in the pool at home. I still cannot go up a stair higher than 5 inches. That happened after the 1989 car accident and no one can explain it. When I do, my back goes out and I'm in spasms and pain. Also, I cannot open many doors, (I can, but I'm in pain after sometimes for weeks). I cannot find answers to these problems, but hoping in getting stronger with the strength training, I will improve. I now see a non surgical orthopedic physician. He does what is called the Stillman Technique. I have been seeing him since October 08 and I think it's helping a lot. I still have problems with doors and stairs??? In 2005, I had to leave my job and for 7 months I did the water therapy. Got a new job and started at the Y. I swam and did strength training. I felt wonderful. After 9 months, one morning I tried to open the locker room door and it would not open. Because I pulled on a door that wouldn't open I got hurt bad. Here I go again on another roller coaster ride. So, the water is a great place for your back and whole body. Alternative therapies - accupunture, PT that does sacral cranial, MET etc. therapies. Yoga is something I will start soon as my orthopedist has suggested it. I think it will be very good. Also, he did say Yoga or Thi Chi. Anyway, sorry for being so lengthy and I wish you well."

[YEA]  10/15/2007: Lisa from Stuarts Draft, VA: "There was a terrific posting of a WAV file of a cat's purring that helps in inflammation/pain management. I find that when I listen to this file that I feel great relief from arthritic pain. The problem is that I am only able to play the file while sitting at my computer. I want to make it more mobile-friendly and listen to it while away from home. Is there a way to download this onto my computer as an mp3 file? I could then transfer it to my mp3 player for portability. For those who have not tried this, it has been a great pain reliever."

It was like an ice pick thrust into my hip. Having read about Lime juice buffered with Baking Soda I tried this Remedy two nights ago and awoke painfree and energectic the next morning. Unfortunately I had so much energy that I overdid it! Now, I have some tenderness at the site and in my back muscles but the sharp pain is still gone. The only negative effect is that I am dealing with frequent urination and diarrhea. I will continue the course of Lime juice and Baking Soda for 5 days and then rest for two. Thanks,"

[YEA]  08/19/2008: Sandy from Cape May, New Jersey: "In January I was diagnosed with an ovarian cyst, in May with chronic polypoid cystitis of the bladder. I had general discomfort throughout my abdomen, flank and pelvic area- not sure what condition was causing what pain. Also had what I believe was arthritic pain in my hip. Only remedy for polypoid cystitis that doctor recommended was painkillers- I declined- or ibuprofen, which I did not want to take on a regular basis. Did some reserch on natural anti-inflammatories, and found lots of info on turmeric. I just went to my local drug store, and bought turmeric capsules, I think they are 500 mg. I started taking 2 pills 2x a day, for a couple of days, then decreased to 2 pills 1x a day, and after just a week or so I stopped taking them altogether. Amazing, but all of my aches and pains disappearred! No bladder pain- no flank pain- no hip pain! If I feel a twinge of anything, I take 2 turmeric, and that does the trick. I am hooked!"

[YEA]  06/21/2007: Aaron from Cape Coral, Florida: "I tried the TURMERIC remedy for boils about 4 days ago, initially with little hope it would work, but in a state of desperation, since this was my THIRD boil in less than 6 weeks, and I had 2 more starting! I went out as soon as I finished reading all of the testimonials on your site, and bought a bottle of Turmeric capsules from my local GNC. That night I took three 500mg caps with dinner, and another 4 capsules before going to bed. (If a teaspoon is good, a tablespoon is better!) The next morning the boil on my stomach, which was a dark purple golf ball radiating excruciating pain the night before, was now a light purple golf ball that was starting to drain, and the pain had gone down by 80 to 90%!

In addition, one of the new boils that was just starting, (a tiny painful pimple,) started to heal, and the other one, slightly larger, while it didn't go away, it stopped growing, and with 72 hours it too drained (really like a normal pimple, only thicker discharge and more painful.)

It's now been about 4 days, and while the large boil is still draining (the core came out yesterday) and is still very tender, it is healing and no other boils are starting.

BUT!

The big BONUS is this: The arthritis in my shoulder that I've been suffering with for the last year, is gone, and even more exciting, I have been dealing with Heal Spurs (Plantar Fasciitis) for about 2 years, and have been suffering TREMENDOUS pain in my foot, every day, all day.

Within 24 hours of taking the Turmeric, my feet have COMPLETELY stopped hurting!!!I plan to continue taking at least one capsule a day indefinitely as a preventative for recurring boils, and as an apparent remedy for my Heal Spurs!!! The real miracle here is that I don't even believe in natural remedies! Thanks so much for the great advice!!"

[YEA]  02/15/2007: Heather from DFS: "Ailment: Woke up one morning, my arm was almost limp, it hurt to pick it up, no strength, could not hardly pick up anything, felt like it was swollen inside. Went to doc, he put me on Vioxx, started taking them then heard of all the bad side affects, called a Naturopathic Doc, Doctor Charles Rouse, Columbus GA, he told me about several ingredients, including Turmeric, so I went to the health food store and bought REMEDY: Turmeric Special Formula because it had several of the items he mentioned I needed in it. I then made a tea of it, and put local tupelo honey in it drank it every day and in several days my symptoms were totally gone and has never came back, The only thing about taking a capsule and making in into a tea is there are granules left, you can either drink them or strain them, I drank them for a while, then I started straining them (do not boil the turmeric in the water, or you will lose some of it medicinal effects) boil or heat the water first then put the turmeric special formula in it like you would if you were making a cup of tea, add honey to taste, then drink it while it is warm, You can find the formula I sure several places but this is the brand I used http://vitanetonline.com/description/3802/vitamins/Turmeric-Special-Formula/."

[YEA]  12/06/2006: Barbara from Portland, OR: "I started taking high doses of Vitamin C to help ward off a cold virus. For the past several weeks I took 5-10 grams of Vitamin C. I noticed my knee pain disappeared. I am a runner/cross country skier who has virtually stopped these activities due to pain in my right knee. For 7 years I have tried glucosamine, calcium, MSM, and NSAIDs. I don't like taking NSAIDS. However, the other remedies did not relieve the pain and inflammation .Therefore, I have been tolerating the pain and have discontinued using NSAIDS. I was very surprised to find that the Vitamin C use correlated with complete pain relief and reduction of inflammation. So I stopped the C for a week and the pain returned. I have resumed the C and the pain is gone again."

I have a prescription for 50,000 iu's levels of Vitamin D have been linked with several types of cancer. Many in the helath field consider VITAMIN D is more of a hormone rather than a vitamin. It is very difficult to get enough sun for vitamin D. In fact, in the winter it is almost impossible to get enough sun for vitamin D if you live north of Atlanta, georgia."
