OIL PULLING

[YEA] 05/18/2008: Susan B. from Pacific Palisades, CA writes: "I think Oil Pulling is one of the best ENERGYremedies around. When I do it for at least 2 days in a row, my energy level goes through the roof! I am quite convinced now that (though no proof, of course) that oil pulling energizes the kidney meridians, much like an acupuncture treatment. I usually suffer from cold hands and feet in cooler weather and the acupuncturist that I had several sessions with last winter told me it was because my kidney chi was weak. Thus he focused the needles in the kidney meridians. Sure enough my fingertips turned from ash white to a nice pink color, as did my face. Well, the same thing happens every time I do an oil pulling session with sunflower oil first thing in the morning. More blood circulates to my hands and feet and my energy level also increases tremendously. So much so that I sometimes have a hard time going to sleep at night (2:00am and I am counting sheep!) Some other people at Earth Clinic also reported a rise in energy levels after OP-ing, so there's something to this theory... I think..."

[YEA] 01/19/2008: Barbara from El Paso, Texas writes: "All I can say is Wow! Oil Pulling really works. My dentist wanted to whiten my teeth,to the tune of $600.00, I refused and told him I had just started oil pulling (he didn't know what it was) and it is suppose to whiten teeth so I would wait to see the results. My husband and I were both amazed. After only 3 days my teeth had whitened at least 4 shades, and my tongue was pink and healthy, the coating disappeared! Along with the ACV treatment for my rheu. arthritis and the oil pull, I feel better and have more energy than I've had in years. When I went to the store to buy the oil I bought Sesame oil (could only find the toasted)and Organic Virgin Olive Oil. When I tried to open the sesame oil it flew out of my hands and broke all over my kitchen floor. So, I used the olive oil and have had all these wonderful results from using it. I am a "new person" thanks to this wonderful site!! Thank you!"

[YEA] 10/11/2007: Joan from Laurel, Maryland writes: "Hi, I am in the process of retiring on disability. Last year, my health dramatically declined. My doctor thinks it may be Lyme disease even though I've tested negative. I have been experiencing extreme fatigue and body aches for almost a year now. I started oil pulling about three weeks ago. I'm now only experiencing one or two days per week of extreme fatigue and body aches. For the first time in a year, I feel well enough to tackle the clutter that has built up in my house, I've been organizing and cleaning regularly. I still tire easily, but I am feeling well enough to tackle some pretty big jobs one at a time! Thanks so much for this info. It is really making a difference!"

REMEDIES NEEDED

06/28/2010: Lilwrongway from Jacksonville, Nc, United States writes: "I really don't know what this would be classified as but I go through these ups and downs of extreme energy loss. I'll be super energetic the day before my period then down for the count when the cycle starts due to cramping. I have some energy the rest of the week then BOOM, its like I jumped off the energy cliff and I will have little to absolutely no energy till the day before my next cycle. I have 2 toddlers and it's miserable I feel so darn lazy. My question is does anyone else feel this and what works to stop it? Also, has anyone ever got a diagnosis on the same problem?"
Replies06/28/2010: Tom from Regina, Sk replies: "Lilwrongway:
While it could be other things, it sure sounds like the symptoms of essential minerals deficiency.
This site mentions the top ones, but counting all the microminerals and complexes, there are over 70!
http://www.naturaltherapypages.com.au/article/mineral_deficiencies
There are some very good colloid mineral and fulvic mineral products out there. Some will cost up to $2/day for a therapeutic dose over a few weeks or more, but once 'topped up', a lower preventative dose will be only half or 1/4 that."
06/28/2010: Charlotte from Seattle, Washington, Usa replies: "Hi Liwrongway. From the way you describe your condition with ups and downs, sounds to me that your condition might be viral in nature. I had a similar condition years ago after getting the flu. The energy highs and extreme lows went on for months. A friend told me about the hydrogen peroxide inhalation method and I did the protocol for a few weeks. I followed Bill Monro's instructions to a tee. Results: I felt a lot better after the first week, then totally cured by the end of the second week. I've read similar posts from people who had chronic fatigure also doing the peroxide inhalation for a month or more to remove viruses from their systems. So don't give up after one week. Whatever you try, please let us know how it goes. Wishing you the best."
06/29/2010: Lilwrongway from Jacksonville, Nc, United States replies: "yeah I thought about the peroxide inhale option but haven't looked up on it too much yet how does it work? I was beginning to think it was a hormone thing due to how it reacts with my menstrual cycle, but I'm all ears and am willing to try anything. I feel so darn lazy, almost like if I'm not laying down parallel to the earth I'm miserable.. the docs put me on depression meds that were hell to get off of and I'm just seeming to be lost so yeah if you can give me links to directions i would be soo delighted to try it. thank you guys so much."

[YEA] 07/26/2010: Holly from Los Angeles, Usa replies: "Lilwrongway, You might try 5HTP. If the antidepressants have cleared your system, the 5HTP will raise your serotonin levels, which may help with your ups and downs. For me, taking 200 mg once in a while helps to stabilize my mood and regulate my energy and appetite. I know I need it if I feel upset, mentally/emotionally strained or tired - you know, those mornings when you just feel a bad day coming on? I'm slowly working my way through the remedies posted here, but I knew about 5HTP before I found this site, and I swear by it. Hope you feel better!"

03/25/2010: Nancy from Shreveport, La Usa writes: "What Is It?
I would like suggestions. For the past two months I have been getting the afternoon droops. Not just sleepy but almost falling off the chair sleepy. I sleep very well at night, have no health issues. When I eat I am revived for about 1 hour. If I drink a diet Coke, I am revived for about 15 minutes. I usually sleep for about 7-7.5 hours a night. I am 66 years old. I eat a healthy diet (with the occasional diet coke as a last resort). I am thinking of trying the 5 hour energy drink. Falling asleep at my desk would freak out my boss."

Im not depressed, i have a great life..But i dont have the energy to get up, to clean my house, to take care of my kids, or to even take care of myself.. I want to. I want to get up and clean, and take care of my family, and do things with my kids and husband, but I cant.. I feel like i am dying inside.. Its hurting my family and myself...Please Help me... Ive went to Doctors, and they cant find anything.."
Replies04/30/2009: Bessie from Calgary, Alberta replies: "Hi Krystal - Have you had your thyroid checked lately? It's incredibly common for women to have underactive thyroids - now more than ever. Also, sometimes when you've had a number of children in a short period of time, it can deplete your thyroid hormones. You may want to check out books on thyroid at the library or just Google "underactive thyroid or hypothyroidism" to see if you have similar symptoms - easily fatigued, etc. If your doctor can't find anything wrong (it's important they look beyond the numbers from the lab), then you may want to see a naturopath. If your thyroid isn't working properly, it'll be incredibly difficult for you to get energized. Good luck!"
05/03/2009: Angie from Missouri replies: "I replied once to this lady with the low energy and it looks like it did not get posted. I have the same problem as this lady. very low energy and it has been getting worse for the past year. a lot of nights I do not hardly have the strength to cook supper and would drink a strong cup of coffee to help me and even then I was still struggling. I did my research and decided to try ___ tea a special blend of black and green tea, this is not the same kind of tea you would buy in a health food store or grocery. I found a natural health clinic that will let me buy as many sample tea bags as I want for 90 cents plus shipping, I bought 8 or 9. each tea bag makes a gallon. for the first few days I notice my energy was not better, but a lot of my hunger was gone. I have also had a problem with being so hungry all the time for about 2 years. then after about a week, my energy started improving and now I am feeling a lot better. I am still tired some, but its not nearly as bad and I'm down to 2 cups of coffee a day. I have not affilation with this company and am not trying to sell anything, just help someone that has a similar problem that I have because I know how it is to struggle with my health, as I am still doing that with other issues that I have. I have also just finished a 30 day supply with humaworm, but did not feel that it helped me at all. I am drinking about 16 ounces of the ___ tea a day."
05/03/2009: Frankie from San Fran, Calif replies: "re: Angie's post.... Don't mean to sound cynical, but even with the product name removed this does sound like an advertisement!"
05/07/2009: Umm from Madina, Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia replies: "To the woman who said she had 4 kids in 5 years and has very low energy, I'd suggest you look into your diet, if your doctor has ruled out any condition that could be the cause. I also had 4 kids in 5 years, my last is 6 weeks old, and I believe one of the reasons I'm strong is because I eat A LOT of nutritious food. Pregnancy, postnatal bleeding, breastfeeding and all is enough to sap a woman especially if it happens concurrently. It is good to look slim and fit, but its more important to be healthy and strong. I eat lots of egg, meat fish chicken, milk, yourgut, veggies and friuts, I don't get obsessed about how many calories I take daily and am a little overweight but I don't mind. I know energy level is related to food because when i chose to go on a diet to lose weight, or when I fast [am a muslim] I feel very weak. So, try eating more nutritious food and take multivitamins, calcium supplements for some time to see if it will improve. best wishes."
05/08/2009: Alain from Ottawa, Canada replies: "I would have two suggestions. 1) Unsulphured Blackstrap Molasses, it has a lot of minerals and vit B. Maybe replace sugar with BSM. Or 1 tbsp BSM in milk, tea ... (See also EC'S FOUNTAIN OF YOUTH REMEDIES). 2) Calcium/Magnesium and perhaps some vit D. (better if those three taken together) Better if come from good fresh quality veggies.
Good Luck"

ROSEHIP TEA

[YEA] 05/15/2008: Killer Bees from Brisbane, Australia writes: "I was having a terrible time feeling exhausted all the time and at that time of the month for us women, I was irritable and uncomfortable. My Chinese herbalist kept telling me had to strengthen my blood but nothing was working Then I read about rosehip tea. It has a super high iron content and heaps more vitamin C than oranges. Apparently in times gone by, women used to drink it to keep them going during their menstrual cycles. So after a few days of tdrinking one cup of tea per day, I felt better and more energetic. I didn't add sugar or honey so it was quite tart to the taste, but that didn't matter to me. My advice is if you're going to add a sweetener, use Stevia instead of sugar (lower GI) or Manuka honey so you get the benefit of the antibacterial agents. I've recently started a new fitness regime of just walking and even after an hour up and down hills, I feel tired, but not exhausted and I wake up refreshed and raring to go the next day. I credit the rosehip tea with this. Now I can't wait until my cycle is upon me so I can keep feeling good and energised instead of depressed, tired and cranky."

SMALL SNACKS, COCOA POWDER, AVOID MILK, EXERCISE!
Ratings:
|
[YEA] 09/20/2007: Mika from Santa Barbara, California writes: "Low Energy Cures (ailment):
1) small snacks throughout the day. This keeps blood sugar up, meaning more energy and less of that my arms feel heavy-ness.
2) 1-3 Tablespoons of 100% pure cocoa powder. Stick chocolate in mouth, swish around in mouth with some water until it's dissolved, swallow. Insta-Theobromine <3!
*** CAUTION: be sure not to breathe in the powder! ***
my bf says it takes 17 min to kick in but it's almost instant for me (i weigh about 100 lbs and take 3 spoonfuls). Your eyes will dilate a little and you'll feel pretty good, and have more energy and alertness.
3) Avoid milk and other lactose-containing products. If you're even slightly lactose-intolerant, don't consume anything with milk in it. In the past I would get a throbbing sensation in my head and have to go to sleep after eating 2-3 M&M's because of the milk in it.
4) Exercise. really."
EC: Be careful not to put too much powder in the mouth at one time -- may cause gagging or choking!

[YEA] 08/21/2007: Michael from Gig Harbor, Washington writes: "I started sungazing one year ago because I needed more balance in my life. I was depressed do to the lack of sunlight in Western Washington state. In the past year I have logged hundreds of hours of sungazing directly at the sun. Depression disappeared in a matter of weeks, my vision and night vision have both improved. I sleep less and have more energy then I have ever had before. Being in a good mood almost all of the time is another wonderful side effect."
Replies02/08/2009: Celleste from Penang, Malaysia replies: "To Michael from Washington: I noticed that your post was from 2007, but I hope you'll be reading this. I'd like to know more about the sun-gazing you practice. Sorry if it sounds stupid, but do you mean staring directly at the sun? What time of the day do you do this? For how long each time? I've been battling severe depression for 2 years now & it's putting my life on hold. So I hope you could help by providing more information. Thanks."
