Blocked Fallopian Tubes Remedies

Causes of and Cures for Blocked Fallopian Tubes

The fallopian tubes are the two narrow tubes that line either side of a female’s uterus. These tubes function to guide the mature egg from the ovaries to the uterus. However, this process can be disrupted if an obstruction of the tube occurs. A blocked fallopian tube can occur on one or both sides of the uterus and is also known as tubal factor infertility. This type of infertility accounts for approximately 40% of infertility in women.

Unlike other reproductive conditions, a blocked fallopian tube rarely causes symptoms. A hydrosalpinx, a specific type of fallopian tube blockage, typically causes lower abdominal pain as well as an unusual vaginal discharge; however, not every woman experiences these symptoms. If the blockage is due to pelvic inflammatory disease, an affected woman may experience pain during menstruation. Additionally, pain during intercourse may suggest a blockage that is due to infection.

A variety of factors are involved as causes of blocked fallopian tubes. Pelvic inflammatory disease or PID is the most prevalent cause of blocked fallopian tubes and is a result of a sexually transmitted disease. Other causes of blockage include current or history of a sexually transmitted disease or infection, uterine infection, a ruptured appendix, abdominal surgery, a previous ectopic pregnancy, prior surgery involving the fallopian tubes or endometriosis.

Natural Cures for Blocked Fallopian Tubes

While a blocked fallopian tube is best treated by identifying the underlying cause, several home remedies work to correct a number of issues. Generally speaking some of the most effective treatment options include the use of an antiseptic douche, the application of anti-inflammatory oil and the induction of toxin flushing by way of baking soda and citric acid. Additional methods include supplementing with zinc and magnesium to reduce inflammation and bacteria as well as Chinese herbs including cinnamon, poria and free flow. Likewise, vitamin C and aspirin taken at the same time reduces fibrous formation that may be causing a blockage while apple cider vinegar helps with irritation.

Apple Cider Vinegar

02/18/2014: Roops from India: "Hello, I am 31yrs old and recently found that I have blocked fallopian tube (right side) with mycobacterium tuberculosis. Can I start ACV treatment along with my prescribed tablets. I am really worried. No idea if I should go for any surgery..well I personally prefer natural remedies. Please help."

02/20/2014: Mama To Many from Tennessee, Usa replies: "Dear Roops,

Raw Apple Cider Vinegar should be compatible with medication. I have used it with medications in the past.

I am guessing the medication you were given for your blocked tube in an anti-biotic? Some other natural anti-biotics you could consider are olive leaf and garlic several times a day. You can take them with whatever the doctor gave you. Charcoal poultices over the abdomen at night (over where the tubes are) would be good to draw out infection and reduce inflammation. It isn’t very convenient, but doing this 5 nights a week for a couple of weeks would be very good. Here is how to make charcoal poultices.

Hopefully these things will help you to get rid of the infection and any inflammation it has caused, which may keep you from needing surgery. I do hope so!

Apparently Vitamin C is effective against the strain of tuberculosis you are dealing with.

You will want to take large amounts of Vitamin C each day. When trying to kill an infection, you need to take vitamin C to bowel tolerance. That means you take a little less than the amount that would give you diarrhea.

Here is a chart about how much you can take. If it gives you diarrhea, take a little less:

http://www.doctoryourself.com/klenner_table.html

You might start with 1,000mg an hour. If you had a way to get liposomal vitamin C, it would be easier to get a lot of usable vitamin C into your system.

I would do this for at least two weeks and stay on vitamin C (1,000mg a day) for quite some time.

Let us know how it goes.

05/20/2014: Roops from Glasgow replies: "Thanks again. I currently relocated to UK. And am not in any medication for blocked fallopian. I will be away from my husband for few months now :-(
Please suggest how do I accomodate Apple cider vinegar and Blackstrap molases in my daily diet. When & how should I have them and the proportion with time of the day please.

Which brand of ACV and BSM should I prefer?

Thanks in advance and I am really grateful for all the attention to my health issues.

Regards, Roops"

05/22/2014: Mama To Many from Tennessee replies: "Dear Roops,

I am sorry you are away from your husband for a while!

Regarding the ACV and Blackstrap...there are many different effective brands of each. I am not sure what you will be able to find in the UK. Look for Apple Cider Vinegar that is labelled "raw". If you find an organic brand, that would be great. With the Blackstrap, just make sure it says, "Blackstrap" Unsulphured and organic would be good, too.

There are many ways to take the ACV and the Blackstrap. You can try different things and see what works best. 1 Tablespoon of Apple Cider Vinegar in a tall glass of water twice a day is one way to take it. One in the morning and one in the evening. I take it with food or without. Some just put a couple of Tablespoons into a quart of water and sip on it all through the day. I like to take the Blackstrap in the afternoon when I am feeling a little hungry but it isn't dinner time. I take 1 Tablespoon plain. Some like to stir it into some warm milk or coffee. You really can take it any time of day with or without food. Some take 1 Tablespoon twice a day. If you like it, you can try this. For some, 2 Tablespoons a day is too much. If it bothers you (gives you diarrhea), just take one a day.

Have you tried the vitamin C?

It is good to hear back from you. I am sorry to be slow to respond. I am away from home because my mother in law is in the hospital. I hope to return home soon.

Keep us posted!

05/24/2014: Roops From India from India replies: "Re: Apple Cider Vinegar for Blocked Fallopian Tube. Sorry to bother you at this time. Hope your mother in law gets well soon and is back home healthy. Thanks a lot for your time and response. Will follow your ACV & BSM combo and share my experience.

Apologies, for not continuing on Vitamin C dosage. Promise to start again. Is that 100mg per hour? or per day? Can you please suggest any brand or any component in specific I should look for while ordering the tablets? Will order online all of them on your confirmation.

Thanks ~Mama to Many~" Regards, Roops"

05/24/2014: Mama To Many from Tennessee replies: "Dear Roops,

Good to hear from you! My mother in law is improving little by little and is now in a great rehab facility. (She broke her hip.)

Regarding the vitamin C...there are many different options. You can get capsules and take them or buy the powder and mix it in water. Capsules are easiest. There are lots of different brands. I have liked Nutribiotic. They make caspules and have powder. I also have been using Emergen C some for my children. (But that is probably GMO and the Nutribiotic appears not to be.) But the Emergen C packets are convenient and my children like to take their C. They successfully nipped a cold in the bud taking those a few times a day and also using Colloidal silver.

Anyway, whatever you end up doing, you can't really overdose on Vitamin C. If the amount you take begins to give you diarrhea, cut back a little. I would try taking 1, 000mg every hour for a week or two and then just take 1, 000mg 2-3 times a day. If it bothers you or gives you diarrhea, take less. To be on the safe side, you could just take 1 the first day, two the next, three the next and keep working up to a once an hour, as long as it doesn't bother you. Maintain a high dose for a couple of weeks and then move back to 2-3 times a day.

Do you use turmeric in your diet? Turmeric is so good for so many things and is good for infection and good for purifying the blood. It wouldn't hurt and would likely help to have some turmeric daily. Even 1/4 teaspoon a day, but maybe more, like 1 teaspoon a day in some milk if you like it that way.

Well, keep us posted!

06/02/2014: Roops from India replies: "Hello.. :-(

Are there tastier ways to have ACV.. I added 2 tablespoons to 200ml water. Had 4 sips and puked the entire stuff out. I tried in the morning empty stomach!! Now the bottle looks scary to me..But I want to have it."

EC: Hi Roops,

Check out Earth Clinic's ACV recipes page here: http://www.earthclinic.com/Remedies/acv_recipes.html

06/02/2014: Mama to Many from Tennessee replies: "Oh, dear Roops,

Yes, 2 Tablespoons of vinegar in 200ml of water would make me ill also. I have a child that will take a spoonful straight but I can't bear it.

Try 1 teaspoon in 300ml of water, or even 400ml of water. See how that does. You can also use equal parts of honey. You can put 2 teaspoons of vinegar and 2 teaspoons of honey into a mug and add hot water. Drink hot or cold. It would be better to take less and be able to tolerate it. You may grow to like it better over time. (But maybe never 2 T. of vinegar in 200ml of water. :) )

When you find a way to enjoy it, let us know!

~Mama to Many~"

06/17/2014: Roops from India replies: "Hello,

I am having 2 teaspoon ACV with 1 Tablespoon BSM daily in the morning in empty stomach. And at times twice a day. Been normal and all fine with the daily dose..No side effects. But I am worried now. I just got my periods which is 7 days earlier than the date. Is everything Ok and normal?"

06/17/2014: Roops From India from India replies: "And I used to have regular periods earlier. Within 30-32 days, This time its in 25 days, It's been 15 odd days since I am having a mix of ACV & BSM.. Please suggest!!"
06/17/2014: Mama To Many from Tennessee replies: "Dear Roops,

Well, I am wondering if your period is any lighter since it came around early? I believe that 25 days is still within the range of "normal" it is just not your "normal." Do you happen to know when in your cycle you ovulate? (Some ladies have some pain in the side at the time of ovulation or keep track of other signs.) Is anything else abnormal for you about this cycle? (PMS, cramps, etc.?)

~Mama to Many~"

06/18/2014: Roops From India from India replies: "Hi,

Periods isn't lighter. Usual like previous months. Normal flow, bit of cramps on 1st & 2nd day, headache, pukish, jittery..Thats it. Everything been the same like the previous months unlike the cycle start day. Ovulation - Honestly I dont get a track of it. I have tried many times. Probablly skip of mind. But yes, Last time I left it during 14th-15th day. No idea what went wrong or right?"

06/19/2014: Mama To Many from Tennessee replies: "Dear Roops,

If all else is the same and not worse, I personally wouldn't be too concerned about a 25 day cycle. If you think you ovulate around day 14 or 15, that is good. You want to have at least 10 days after ovulation before your period. Less than ten days can mean you would have trouble sustaining pregnancy. Often women who have 25 day cycles will ovulate around day 10-12, which is fine, too.

So, anyway, a 25 day cycle can be as normal as a 32 day cycle. You could continue on as you are and see how next month goes. You could decrease the blackstrap and the ACV a bit and see if you come closer to the 32 day cycle. (Although, if you are trying to conceive, slightly shorter cycles can be a good thing as you will end up ovulating perhaps 13- times a year instead of 11 or 12.)

Are you taking the vitamin C for the infection in the tube?

It is good to hear from you! Let me know how things go.

~Mama to Many~"

06/24/2014: Roops from India replies: "Hi ~Mama to Many~",

Sorry for a delayed reply. Yes, I have started taking Vitamin C: Emergen-C. For now its twice a day - 1000mg. will increase the dosage gradually. And I am having ACV with honey. Cant say tasty but good :-) . Thanks a lot for your time and patience. Will keep you informed on any queries and doubts."

Blocked Fallopian Tubes Remedies

01/08/2014: Rahena from Uk: "My right fallopian tube is blocked. Do you have any remidies to unblock tube?"

Replies
01/08/2014: Mama To Many from Tennessee, Usa replies: "Dear Rahena,

Do you know why your tube is blocked? That may help to narrow down a good solution.

Meanwhile, there are a number of things that are useful for unblocking fallopian tubes.

Castor Oil packs - you will find how to use them here:

http://earthclinic.com/Remedies/castor_oil.html

Serrapeptase - This can be taken to help dissolve fibrous tissue in the tubes.

Natural Antibiotic - in case there is infection causing the blockage. Do whatever you do for a couple of months. You could use Olive Leaf, Garlic, Grapefruit Seed Extract, Colloidal Silver etc.

Blackstrap Molasses - - 1 Tablespoon a day - a good general tonic that is good for many female issues, though not specifically for blocked tubes.

Apple Cider Vinegar - 1 teaspoon to 1 Tablespoon once or twice a day in a tall glass of water.

All of these things can be safely done together.

Let us know how it goes for you!

10/27/2006: Ted from Bangkok: "A blocked fallopian tubes could be any number of causes, however the easiest remedies is to treat the condition where fallopian tubes is due to a condition of inflammation or infection. In this case the use of any antiseptic douche, the application of anti inflammatory oil, such as lavender applied to the abdominal area,

improving eliminations by taking 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda plus 1/4 teaspoon of citric acid will reduce constipation, remove the toxins and thus normalizing the blocked fallopian tubes.

Improving the body immune system by taking some zinc and magnesium supplement will reduce the body's bacteria and reduce the inflammation.

If the fallopian tube blocked is not due to inflammation but due to heavy scarring, then I think conventional surgery or other would be more appropriate. One common cause of infertility is that the eggs do not stick to fallopian walls, in that case taking some vitamin C in form of sodium ascorbate will reduce this problem, since in some instance this the problem"

When my husband comes home I am going to get him to look at your letter.. I am from New Zealand and am going home to NZ in 2 weeks, leaving my husband Bobby to look after himself.. and all this going on is making me very nervous.

Maybe if you want you could call me, I might be able to get some good tips, I mean I don't care if he has to eat the same food daily while I am away, as long as it keeps his blood sugar down.. He wakes up this morning and it is 180.. So is making me feel very nervous *whew*

My name is Jacqui and husband is Bobby. We are floundering along here not really getting anywhere it seems, and I am really trying.. Men really are not very reliable, Bobby really needs to realize what he has to do, men are so reliant on us women aren't they.. Anyway I have to get this sorted before I go home. otherwise I am going to worry the whole time I am away.

I appreciate your help Lisa and would love for you to call me when you can please. thank you."

04/16/2014: Babyonboard from South Africa replies: "Hi, I found out I am 5 weeks pregnant but have a blocked Fallopian tube. How do I cure it naturally without harming the baby?"
04/16/2014: Mama To Many from Tennessee replies: "Dear Babyonboard, You say that you have a blocked fallopian tube and that you are 5 weeks pregnant. I am trusting that the "blocked" tube is not the baby, and that the baby is in the uterus? Assuming your baby is in the uterus, I would wait until after the baby is born to address the issue of a blocked tube. It is possible it will resolve on its own. Having a blocked tube during pregnancy is not harmful to the baby. The things I would normally suggest for a blocked tube, I would not recommend during pregnancy. ~Mama to Many~"

Two things you can try for the adhesions causing blocked fallopian tubes are castor oil and serrapeptase.

You can read about how to use castor oil packs here:

http://earthclinic.com/Remedies/castor_oil.html

Do not use them during your period, though.

You can take serrapeptase capsules internally, on an empty stomach, according to the directions on the bottle.

It will take some time for these things to work. I would try these things for two to three months and maybe longer, assuming they agree with you.

I hope these things will be helpful to you!

05/07/2010: Adrienne from Flowery Branch, Ga replies: "Hello Stormno01,

Some time ago on a fertility website, I had seen numerous postings of women with blocked tubes and there is no one particular cause for the blockage. One lady claimed toilet paper (how she knew this i have NO IDEA)..another lady in fact had a condition where a cyst or something at her ovary and tube was secreting a not-so-friendly discharge which was 1. detrimental to the eggs her ovaries where releasing and 2. the discharge was built up in her tube..and the list goes on.

Anyway, there was a lady who concocted a natural solution and claimed it to work to remove toilet paper by putting this solution up in her. Honestly, I didn't agree to what the woman was doing because if you think about it, when something is obstructed, then it needs to be cleared/pushed out rather than trying to dissolve it. 2. She had to have inserted something into her uterus and apply enough pressure to get it through her uterus and up her tubes. Very dangerous!! (People who perform at home artificial inseminations have to certify with the sperm bank that they will not attempt to perform the IUI (inter-uterine inseminations) but deposit outside the uterus and let nature take its course.) There is a reason for that!

I strongly urge you to consider your situation (age, fertility status, etc) before sticking anything up there which may cause further problems.

My conclusion which may not be what you want to hear, but have the procedure. The money and time spent and the peace of mind of knowing thats its being done correctly are going to be worth the peace of mind than to take a chance at something which may may not work, further impact your fertility and really mess things up!

Hang in there hon..I know its hard."
08/04/2013: Dalia from Chicago replies: "Hello, I just found out that I am suffering from blocked tubes and therefore am not able to get pregnant. I have not been able to have a period on my own for over a year since getting off the birthcontrol. Also the doctor wants to do a surgery but I would rather not! I read that serrapeptase, leonurus siegesbeckia also can help. Can you please let me know if this would be a proper treatment? Also, should I try apple cider vinegar as well?

I am not sure why the tubes are clogged and doctor has not yet told me why. Please help?"

08/05/2013: Mama To Many from Tennessee, USA replies: "Dear Dalia, I am not familiar with the supplements you mention, but have some other thoughts.

First of all, 9 years ago, I was told by an OB that I had a blocked tube. (I only have one- the other was lost to tubal rupture during complications of a tubal pregnancy.) I was also told that without antibiotics for the blocked tube and birth control to regulate my cycles, I would never get pregnant again. I threw away the prescriptions and I used natural progesterone cream to regulate my cycles and did nothing about the blocked tubes. I have had 3 more children since then. Either the tube wasn't really blocked or it resolved on its own. I didn't do anything to try and help it at the time.

I would definitely try some natural things before going for surgery. Hopefully someone else on Earth Clinic knows about the things you mentioned.

Definitely try the Apple Cider Vinegar. Also, Blackstrap Molasses. It is very helpful to ladies cycles. 1 T. once or twice a day.

Also, you could try drinking some herbal tea. Sounds like a "too simple" solution for a problem a doctor wants to do surgey on, but we have seen simple herbs help serious problems so much that I would surely try it. Try and drink 3 cups of herbal tea per day. Here is what I would mix up:

1 part mullein leaf (relieves congestion) may help congestion in the tubes

1 part red raspberry leaf (very good for women's health)

1/2 (more would be okay) part peppermint for flavor, unless you don't like peppermint, then skip.

You could buy the loose herbs or buy all three tea bags. Then, each day, put 3 tea bags (or 1-2 T. of the loose tea) in a quart jar and pour 3 cups boiling water over it. Let steep for 15 minutes. Strain herb out using a coffee filter (must be the paper filter. A screen filter would allow some irritating mullein hairs to remain in your tea.) Sweeten with honey if desired. Drink warm or cold over the course of the day.

You could take an herbal antibiotic like garlic or GSE if perhaps the tubes have infection in them.

You could rub peppermint oil over the skin of the pelvic area to help with congestion. (Might be best to mix with some coconut oil.

Look into castor oil packs on this website and try that on your lower abdomen. I am thinking that might address any infection and congestion and may also help with getting you cycling again. Don't use castor oil packs if you are actually having a period.

Please let us know how it goes!

Ted from Bangkok, Thailand replies: "Dear Grn: Blocked fallopian tubes due to excess fibrous formation is caused by a long term irritation and inflammation reaction causing such conditions as well as deficiencies relating to immune conditions.

To resolve this is to reduce inflammation, destroy the irritant pathogen, and resolve the deficiency causing the excess fibrous formation. A common Apple cider vinegar will help, but vitamin C and some aspirin taken at the same time should help the body resolve the fibrous formation, while the apple cider vinegar should help reduce the irritation. Thus reducing the fiborus formation caused by the irritation. Deficiencies of zinc, selenium and vitamin b complex should also reduce the conditions.

It will take some time as the fibrous formation happens over a long course of time. I suspect large doses of vitamin b5 (500 mg/day) will normalized most tissue, and prevent blockages and normalizing the collagen.

However, all this is to normalize and prevent further blockages of fallopian tubes then anything else"

05/24/2014: Mama To Many from Tennessee replies: "Dear Rose,

It sounds like you are reading the posts on EC about blocked tubes and things you can try to cure them. That is great!

Eleven years ago the only tube I had was blocked. The doctor said by infection. She wanted me to wean my baby and take a strong antibiotic. I declined. She said I would never get pregnant again if I didn't do that. I am happy to say she was wrong. I actually did nothing and did get pregnant again. I am not suggesting you do nothing, just saying that blocked tubes can be overcome. (And I was only working with one tube, having lost the other to tubal rupture.)

Some things to look in to:

blackstrap molasses - 1 Tablespoon daily. This seems to be good for the reproductive system in general.

Serrapeptase - If the blockage is caused by scar tissue or fibrous tissue, this can help.

High Doses of Vitamin C - To help with any infection that may exist in the tubes. You can take a lot of vitamin C - if you get to the point of diarrhea, cut back a bit.

Castor Oil Packs -there is a lot of information on this website. Don't do these during your period. They have helped many women to improve their fertility.

You might also consider reducing consumption of animal products. Hormones in animal products (even organic animal products have hormones in them, because animals have hormones, not because they are added.) I have read about this helping some ladies with their fertility.

I wish there were a one size fits all solution. Trial and error is used in the medical community and used in the natural health community. For me, I just read and read and try different things. Sometimes I get a solution right away and sometimes it takes several tries of different things.

I hope you find a solution and please let us know how it goes! I had my last baby when I was 44. A friend of mine just had one at the age of 47. You are young yet! :)
