Use honey (natural organic, not the general stuff you find in stores) to treat MRSA. I used honey with my son after he contracted MRSA from swimming with a friend.

Did you have him ingest the honey or apply it like a paste?

I used honey with the comb smashed up together on my leg tattoo that refused to heal. The tattooist wasn't cleanly and I believe I developed MRSA, my entire leg from knee to toes was severely swollen and inflamed and reddish. I used honeycomb I got from a local farmers market on my large tattoo all over it. It healed in 9 days flat. Completely. Previously I had used a prescription ointment to heal the multiple large wounds for 9 days. Didn't help at all. That's when I bought the honey comb. I'm amazed.

Honey kills staph infections

I developed Staph infection in my leg from a spider bite. It was lanced, bandaged and I took prescription antibiotics. A little while later another sore appeared. It seems the Staph had gone systemic. I took every type of antibiotic and even double doses to try and get rid of it. For a yr and a half I kept breaking out in these horribly painful sores. Finally I got on the net and looked up natural remedys. I tried honey in place of antibiotic topical ointments and immediately my sores improved over night. I put a 1/4 -1/2 tsp of honey on a 4x4 bandage after I showered and dried my skin well, then left it undisturbed for 24 hours and repeated until the sores were gone. It's been yrs since I've had an out break. When I did get an occassional sore, I'd wrap it up in honey just to be safe. I've read they are using honey in some burn units because it helps decrease scaring as well as being a good antibiotic.

I personally fought MRSA for 5 months. I tried everything, to no avail. Then I read about Manuka honey mixed with turmeric. I couldn't afford Manuka honey, so I tried just plain raw honey and mixed it with turmeric.

I applied it to my sore and covered it with a bandage. I was amazed the next day, that it was actually starting to heal. Real raw honey is a miracle, it is full enzymes that started healing my MRSA.

It is important that that the honey has never been heated. Raw honey mixed with powdered turmeric into a paste, cover with a bandage. I changed my bandage daily. Slowly each day my sore got smaller, until it totally healed. It took about a week. I also, had to take sugar and white flour out of my diet, while I was trying to heal. I noticed that MRSA feeds on sugar.

So while I was healing, I followed a paleo diet, that helped my immune system get better.

I've been on bactrim for four days now, which has helped heal two MRSA spots, but one just would not go away and was incredibly painful. I had to try something else (while continuing my antibiotic, of course). Instead of opting to go back to the doctor to have it drained, or going to the ED to have an IV antibiotic drip, I decided to try an herbal remedy. I'm very thankful I did because I'll be honest, I am not a good patient when it comes to needles and knives!

I read someone's comment online yesterday to try equal parts of turmeric and honey, mix well until you get a liquidy paste and apply to the closed MRSA wound. I did this last night, covered it with gauze and woke this morning with significantly less swelling and pain! It's like a miracle spice. I will certainly relay this to my doctor. She likes to prescribe holistic advise when she can... I'm hoping she will consider sharing this with other patients who are suffering from MRSA.

Side note: Before trying the topical application, I did follow one person's recommendation to mix a tsp of turmeric with 2 cups of milk and add honey... I was able to drink maybe a 1/3 of the mixture until I decided it was too much on a weak stomach. Wasn't exactly tasty. But I do realize that what amount I did ingest may have contributed to me feeling better this morning as well.

Good luck to all! Wishing you a fast recovery from this painful diagnosis.

Honey and tumeric mixed in equal volume applied to my big toe nail under a bandaid relieved the throbbing pain. MRSA-CA had been going around in our community. After subteaching at our school I apparently got it in the base of my toenail. When the pain started, accompanied by inflamation I used H2O2 and an antibiotic ointment to be able to sleep. Next evening it had returned, so I repeated using another ointment after the H202 relieved the pain. On the third day, worse, I came to EarthClinic and discovered tumeric and also raw honey seemed to help others, so mixed equal amount and applied it after the H2O2. A bandaid kept the paste around the base of the nail where it had first inflamed. I kept this up a week, applying nightly and also taking about 1/4 teaspoon of the mix daily. The infection died, and so did the toenail. The nail has grown back--but no more MRSA, after a year, thank God!

A friend who got MRSA on her foot at the same time took a month for the medical treatment to relieve it. The MD warned it would take a month to heal the wound but she applied some of the honey-turmeric and amazed herself and the MD that it healed in days. We have lots of problems in this fallen world, but the good Lord gave us herbs and things to solve them!

I have had a horrible time! I first started out with MRSA on my leg.
I guess I get it harder then most. Because first it starts with a head ache and flu like symptoms and 100 to 103 fever. Last I got the boil on my left leg just up from my knee.
I tried heat, I tried tea tree oil and I tried baking soda and oatmeal.
The heat felt good.
The tea tree oil did nothing.
The baking soda hurt and did draw it out.
The oatmeal hurt and did draw it out.
Together baking soda and oatmeal did the best.
I still had to go to the doctor and they gave me antibiotics.
It never totally went away. It was still this little spot. But I thought ok. I am out of antibiotics but maybe my body will take care of it.
About 2 weeks later. I got a head ache and it felt like some one had kicked me in the tail bone also no energy and 103 fever. Next thing I know I have a huge boil on the inside of my left butt cheek just down from my tail bone.
Its the week end so I say to hell with it. I go the the ER. Wait for 2 hours. Then they get me in. Give me painkiller and cut the thing open and drain it.
They gave me different antibiotics this time.
I have been on them. The thing has been draining like mad.
It stopped draining after a few days.
Now I am out of the antibiotics and the boil is not totally gone.
I am afraid again and have no clue what to do.
Here is some advise I would like to give.
If you get a boil drained.
You must! Use hot compresses and maybe oatmeal mixed with baking soda in a paste on it. Also take hot soaks for 20 minutes 2 times a day. Do not let this thing close until it is totally MT!
I give this advice because I wish to god I had done all of this.
I feel if I had I would not be worried now.
Wondering what the heck should I do now!

Hot Drinks

Posted by Max (Adelaide, Sa ) on 02/07/2012

Recent study found hot drinks ( tea and coffee) protect against MRSA. I don't think it cures it once you have already got it but regular tea and coffee drinkers are less likely to catch MRSA. Note, this study only tested MRSA in the nasal cavity they are yet to discover whether the effects are systemic.

I am an RN…just everyone please remember to wash your hands. MRSA is everywhere now! Hand washing is 99ish % effective at killing it before you get infected. Once you get it…you never really get rid of it. It seems ridiculously simple…but it prevents it before it starts.

Regarding the post in this section entitled Penetrating MRSA Biofilm Posted by Skeptic (Cuenca, Azuay, Ecuadorabonan Sent) on 04/28/2013:

I had a friend yrs ago who had several rounds of MRSA. When he developed the next infection he wanted to use dmso but the metal was a problem & he wound up using 35% food grade hydrogen peroxide - dilluted & he stated that it cleared up rather quickly & he had started using nebulized HP ever since with no further issues. I know this is many yrs late but hopefully may be helpful 2 someone coming across it. There are numerous books/articles available about this. MRSA, cancers can't live in an oxygen rich environment. I now use 3% FGHP regularly & rid myself of asthma, sinusitis & allergies & plan to continues its use. I don't get colds or flu.

Hydrogen Peroxide

HI ALL, , , , , , , , got a sad call this morning at 6 am from a young kid that was going to work at our farm today. He said he would not be able to work because his PapPa just died.

His PapPa had a hip replacement and it became infected with MRSA almost 6 months ago. They went to many doctors, but none could help. I suggested Hydrogen Peroxide IV's. That is not traditional medicine and was rejected. I shut up. The doctors kept trying to cut out the infection and finally he was to go to a plastic surgeon tomorrow. He had been on antibiotics all this time along with vac wound therapy . I now want to cry as I know personally of people who were cured with just 3 IV's of Hydrogen Peroxide. Why did I not push the issue?

A church member who went to the great Medical School at Vanderbilt for cancer. He too is gone. I was too timid to intercede with what natural cures I know from my research and personal bout with cancer.

So when I get my comeuppance from members on this site, it rolls off like water on a duck's back. I have watched too many friends die by my not pushing the issue. You may not like my style, but I have your interest at heart.

Dear Robert Henry,

What a sad story. I am so sorry for that boy.

I too have seen people suffer and not be willing to try something that is safe and easy because it seems, well, ridiculous to them. But I know you know that you can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink. I don't know if pushing the issue will help. I have taken natural things to sick people and they don't even try them. Or take one dose of whatever and decide it doesn't work.

I know you have the best interest of other's at heart.

Hi Robt Henry,

All of us who believe in natural or non-medically approved cures have probably had the experience of telling someone who is not well what we have read or know might help, and are familiar with the "I never realized you were such a nut" look! Just keep putting it out there and people have to do what they feel is best. And your delivery is always direct and to the point, which most prefer when dealing with poor health and don't have a lot of time for polite, subtle suggestions. We all know you have nothing but good intentions and have helped many who take you up on your advice and experience. You reached out to this young man when you could have remained silent, and I wish he had done what you told him, but his family chose a different path.

HI U OM, , , , , , , , , ,

Kinda getting tired of being beat about the head and shoulders for telling things that will help folks. I got at least three supporters and consider you one of them. Spent the day at a friend's house showing them how to make Lyposomal Vit C and Glutathione.

Got to keep what few friends I have, alive.

I had total knee replacement in February, they had to open me up again because the poly disc didn't set right. That's when I got MRSA. Of course they had to open me again, three times in one month. They tell me that even after the Vancomycin intravenousTreatment the MRSA could start up again. Could you please give me some advice.

Hydrogen Peroxide

I highly recommend food grade hydrogen peroxide as a cure for MRSA. Early this year I 2 different cases of confirmed Staphylococcus and 2 surgeries to remove cysts that were as big as golf balls, for which antibiotics were not touching. The Dr told me that I would just have to live with it as he told me MRSA is everywhere. The cysts were extremely painful so I was not willing to just live it them! When the 3rd one came on I reached for my food grade (35%) hydrogen peroxide and took a large dose(1/4 teas in 8 oz of pure water)
Within 2 hours I could feel the tingling stop and the burning of the new growing cyst stop. The next day I took another dose and I was cured. I highly recommend peroxide for bladder infections and also a couple of years ago I had confirmed skin cancer on my nose and began taking doses of peroxide and it killed that also.

You must be very, very careful when taking this product - follow instructions, as it has burning properties to it. One more note - after I had surgery for the removal of the MRSA cysts I packed the site with Epsom salt and it pulled the infection to the top of the skin and drained the sight within days. I used a pantie liner pad over the site and the salt drew out so much pus it was soaked the pad a half an hour, this went on for 3 days!

hydrogen Peroxide/witch hazel combo with Tee Tree Oil cured a Spider Bite/MRSA infection due to bite. My knee had this red itching bite on it. By the time I had let it go on I awoke to find this now open sore with my knee looking like a volcano. It was spitting like a snake and the 1st thing I did was start with Hydrogen Peroxide putting it on this sore 3 - 4 times per day. I awoke to relief the very next day and over all I have a little mark that was like the size of a dime that has faded since we are coming up on a year soon since this happened to me. It pulled the infection from this sore and is a total lifesaver.

I used one drop a day on each infection for 3 or 4 days until the MRSA just dried up and went away. In the prior to this I had at least two other MRSA infections which made life very unpleasant. I did try every known remedy out there including the ones listed on this website and NONE of them worked. In my previous two experiences with MRSA I had to go to the hostpital to get very strong antibiotics to kill it. Bottom line is that Lugol's iodine does work for MRSA.

Thanks for sharing! I started using the Iodine last night and what was starting as a boil is already shrinking. I know it started killing the bacteria because it stung as I applied it. I am hopeful that after daily use, it will be completely gone soon. I am so grateful. If only I'd known when I had the first bout with MRSA.
