Rolling Thunder's Prayer for the Earth

My great grandmother was Cherokee....and these powerful words resonate with my spirit. I invite everyone to join together with this prayer in mind in celebration of Global Love Day May 1, 2006. A celebration now in its 3rd year. We are one humanity on this planet. All life is interconnected and interdependent. All share in the Universal bond of love. Love begins with self acceptance and forgiveness. With tolerance and compassion we embrace diversity. Together we make a difference through love. www.thelovefoundation.com

I pray with a thankful heart every day for the blessings, beauty, and bounty that the world holds within her folds. I am blessed to see and feel rain, to smell her rich earthy aroma, to embrace the depth of her colors and hues. I pray with thanks, that I am able to see the earth and know it as I do; a blessing.

O si u, Grandfather Rolling Thunder was and still is an inspiration to all types of people, but it's important to remember it's easy to talk about these matters but you won't truly understand them until you live them.

Fortworth, Texas, USA writes, "I pray from time to time... not enough, but when I prayed this time with this image in my head of a unscathed earth, I felt a sensation like never before and thinking of it almost brings me to tears... thank you for having this here and I will try to spread this to as many people as I can.

A little reminder to us all how our world is placed in the palms of our hands, what we choose to do with it will determine our fate. We live on the land borrowed from our children. Help protect the innocence of our children and the purity of our earth.

Thank you for sharing this prayer. We must also help others to understand how our minds are powerful tools not only to help us personally but also globally.

I pray for peace for all mankind as God intends. I pray that my people (all of them) can keep their individualities and live in harmony: they share and compliment each other.

Whenever I send out some Reiki or a prayer to someone in need, I always ask that whatever is not needed by people is given to mother earth for healing the planet.
