Hi! For those of you looking for ACV. If you have a Bulk Barn near you, that is your best bet. Where I am, I've told so many people about ACV; that a lot of the time I go there, they're getting a new order in!!!! Just ask them... even if you don't see it and they will order it in for you anyways :) Now, the one specific brand I use, comes in plastic bottles now and also a newer size of bottle which is much easier to travel with!

If it says Apple Flavored Vinegar, it is distilled vinegar with apple flavoring. If it says Apple Cider Vinegar, it is apple juice fermented to convert the sugar in the juice into alcohol, then fermented again to convert the alcohol into acetic acid. If it says "distilled" anywhere on the container, it is not apple cider vinegar.

I'm also in Japan & I came across apple cider vinegar in Sogo Department Supermarket. It was in a small section right at the back with a few other organic products. There was also some black strap molasses which i i picked up! I know the apple vinegar you are talking about, but it is NOT apple cider vinegar!

You can buy organic ACV at most health food shops. I have yet to see _____s here, but you can order it online from their website.

Horans Health Store in Co. Clare, Killarney Ireland on Beech Rd. They carry a few brands of apple cider with the 'mother' in it. I bought _____s at a decent couple.

hi, my name is sabina and I have just discovered this site. Infact I have read as many posts as I could. I am really impressed with the number of people who use this site. I was diagnosed with RA about 2 months ago. I firstly refused to take the drugs but my pain just kept on increasing, so I am taking naproxen and sulpsalazine and to an extent i do feel less stiffness, BUT I want to try an alternative method. I went out and brought an organic apple cyder vinegar and an organic honey but upon further reading I keeping hearing about this "mother" that should be in the cyder vinegar. Does any one know where in Leicester or even in the UK, I can get the cyder vinegar( which has the mother) and is it important to have the "mother" in the ACV? furthermore as far as I understand, I should start with 2 teaspoon in 8oz of water three times a day, is that correct. I would be grateful if EC can respond or if any one else has any ideas. Thank you so much.

I had trouble finding ACV with "mother" initially too. I'd say your best bet is to try any independent health shops in your area, chain health shops don't seem to sell the real thing. That's how I found it originally, but I now buy online. Just search for "apple cider vinegar with mother" and select UK only sites.

If you Google Cider Vinegar you will find at least two sites in the UK. One in Somerset and the one in North Devon which I use. To buy just 1 bottle is quite expensive because of postage costs. I therefore buy 5 Ltrs either in bottles or Wine Bag type containers then share it with family and friends.Hope this helps.

I used to buy an organic cider in Leicester from the big Asda in Oadby, it wasn't there own brand, was an independant company but now for some reason they have stopped stocking it and only sell their own brand which isn't organic. This organic one also had the mother at the bottom, but now im not sure where to buy it? Where did you find the organic ACV in Leicester, Sabina?

It is the literal translation of apple cider vinegar but not the one that is used. The one that is used is not written in Katakana and Kanji, it is just written in Katakana(to show that it is a foreign product and not native to Japan). I made a mistake in the romaji before, if you want to write it properly in Katakana please type in on your keyboard it like this "appurusaida-binega-"(make sure you hit F7 on your keyboard to change it to Katakana from Hiragana and you need the dash'es "-" in the correct places). If you want to find _____ brand apple cider vinegar, just include bragg in your search like so, "braggappurusaida-binega-" *REMEMBER* Do not convert "bragg" into Katakana only the "appurusaida-binega-" part, as "bragg" is impossible to write in Katakana anyways. The kings store in future park now has several brand of organic stuff, Big C.. does not have it yet, Medco has Heinz regular ACV, not organic.. Apple Cider Vinegar is available at Nilgiris Departmental Stores in Chennai. Tamilnadu, India. There are 2 varieties, one "Apple Garden" and Other name starting in H. They are not brown in colour.

The Heinz and American Garden ACV are both pasteurized/distilled (no mother). I am currently using American Garden and it is good, but definitely no where near as good as _____s that I normally use in the West. I am trying to order some _____s now.

In Bangalore, go to Majestic City railway station. Inside, there is Himachal Pradesh horticulture products counter (HPMC--Himachal Pradesh Horticultural Produce Marketing and Processing Corporation). They have HPMC ACV with mother. I dont know if its organic. Costs lesser than 100 rs per bottle, so pretty affordable.

Apple cider vinegar is not available in HPMC shops in Bangalore. Storekeeper told that product is no longer available in Bangalore HPMC's. Please suggest other place for Organic apple cider vinegar.
