I make a drink with ACV, Blackstrap molassas, and organic honey. I think it gives me energy. The first night I drank it I woke up at 4 am feeling refreshed and like I had slept a full 8 hrs! Now I drink it in the morning to help me through the day. I really feel it helps my mood and gives me more energy.
ACV doesn't really do anything to me but when I was on a quest to find cures for so many things in my life, I avoided ACV because it is NOT nice. I have a track record of being the bravest, so I hope you know how much I hate it so trust me, this recipe is so nice I crave it so much I had to limit myself to 2 a day, otherwise apple juice is expensive at this rate.
2 tablespoons of ACV and I either put enough baking soda for it to stop fizzing or 1/4 teaspoon of it. Add apple juice. I usually only do 3/4 the cup. That's it. See, I took time off my tight schedule to tell everyone this because it seems like people like me aren't drinking it and everyone's saying that it works for so many things, just not for me.
I have wanted to make ACV a regular part of my life but I have never been able to get past the taste. It turns my stomach. Today, I read a post left by Had from White River Jct, Vermont who said that ACV and baking soda tasted like honey if you sweetened it with Stevia. I had all three so I went and tried it and IT DOES! I can do this! I am so excited.
1 cup water
1 packet or serving of stevia
1 TBSP ACV
I also added:
1/2 tsp. Extra Virgin Coconut Oil
1 tsp. Cinnamon
This changed the taste to a more exotic tea-like flavor but it's great both ways. I just wanted the extra health benefits of the Cinnamon and EVCO.
If you can't stand ACV, try this. It is amazingly delicious.
Well, as for the taste I might have a sugestion, why not use it as a delightfull salad dressing using olive oil, ACV, you can also add to that some garlic, "wich has as much awesome propriety *see for exemple http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/druginfo/natural/300.html*" honey and leek. All together with salad and vegies, you get a good side dish wich is also an awesome health cocktail!
I use ACV to make salad dressing - juice of one lemon, 1/4 cup ACV, 1/4 cup H2O, garlic, onion, sea salt, ground pepper - put in glass jar and shake vigorously, add to mixed greens - tastes fantastic!!
I drink apple cider vinegar in a glass (8 oz) of spicy hot V8 juice. I don't notice the vinegar taste very much that way and it's easy when I travel, as I can take a six-pack of small individual cans with me. During a severe sinus attack, I sometimes heat it in the microwave, adding several chopped raw garlic cloves to the drink. With chronic sinus inflammation, I'd try just about anything so I could breathe. I also have sleep apnea, so I can't go to bed until I can breathe through the CPAP mask.
Keep it simple, could not stand the smell, ect. I found by just mixing it with Lemon seltzer water was the easy and tasty way for me. I get 8 OZ of water, and for right now, a little over a teaspoon of ACV. The big bottles are priced right.
I have found a very good way to drink the apple cider vinegar. No need to pinch your nostrils! I add it to my juiced carrots and it actually enhances the taste for me. I add a stalk of celery also.
I could not STAND the taste of the ACV. I saw a recipe to add it to raspberry tea, so I added it to my flavored hot herbal tea, with a little honey, and it is amazing! You will not taste the vinegar! I found it tasted best when it was very hot. So easy, I love tea anyways so I am so excited to find this recipe!

I have been taking Apple Cider Vinegar 2x daily since I read how amazing it was for you on this site a few months ago... (in 10oz hot water with a little raw honey) but today my friend who I got to start taking it showed me the most amazing way to take it- especially if you dislike the taste. She makes a tea pot with 1 bag of ginger tea, and 1 bag of apple tea and then adds the ACV. It was AMAZING! And great hot or cold - I really could drink this all day long - and you hardly taste the ACV. She carries it to work in a glass jar and sips it throughout the day.
I really believe ACV is life-altering in the best way. I feel like it clears out your body and being.
One of my friends was sick with a flu or a little virus and he took the recommended bath by Dr. Hazel Parcells - 2 cups of ACV in a hot bath - stay in for 20-25minutes till the water turns a bit cold.... And sipped a cup of warm water, 2 TBS ACV and some raw honey. He fell asleep for over 10 hours and woke up feeling better! He said his whole body relaxed deeply and I am sure in his sleep his body was healing.
I am convinced that ACV is something that we all need daily!
I have a delicious recipe for apple cider vinegar, honey, and mint which requires boiling the 3 ingredients and after it cools off you add the mixture and a few ice cubes to grated cucumbers and enjoy the most refreshing drink. Does boiling the cider nullify its health benefits?

I went to the Whole Foods Store and puchased some organic ACV w/Mother yesterday.
Here's the thing: It tastes sooo bad, I couldn't get it down. I was bucking (almost vomiting) like a kid being made to eat ocra!!! (LOL). I did as one poster on here suggested, and filled a 2 ounce shot glass with the ACV, then trasferred that to an 8 ounce glass, and filled the glass with bottled water. I tried to drink it, but I just coudn't stand the taste!
Anyway, my questions are:
1) What do most of you use to make it taste better ? and what juices or other drinks could I use with it That would not counteract the benefits of the solution in the ACV ? What drinks or juices should I stay away from using with it (and why) ?
2) Is there a brand of ACV that comes in a pill or capsule form that would be the same as taking it in liquid form ?
Thanks ahead of time for your suggestions b/c I really need to get my pressure down asap and I'm hoping ACV Will work!

I found a really delicious way to drink ACV. I had struggled with drinking ACV with baking soda and water and the taste kept me from being consistent drinking it. Then, based on someone's comment, I decided to make a juicy version. I take an empty 16 oz. Water bottle and mark it in quarters with a marker so I know how much a quarter dose is. To find out where to mark it, add 3 oz of water and mark the line. Then repeat this until you have 4 markings. Then I empty the now marked bottle and start making my mixture. I add 4 TBSP of ACV, then add roughly 1 TBSP of baking soda and fill up the bottle with filtered water and shake it gently. Then for each dose (I drink it am and pm), I pour 1/4 of the bottle into a juice glass and add a natural blueberry acai or blueberry pomegranite juice to the glass (I like Northland brand). I add a fair amount and add an ice cube or two. I keep it in the fridge until it's time to make a new batch. It's delicious and you only barely taste the vinager. Plus I'm getting the benefit of blueberry and other juices. Give it a try.
To Whom it may concern, I could not stand the taste of the Vinegar and water mix when I drank it or the smell of it when it came out as sweet so I come up with this mixture on my own. I take a half gal. Jug of 100% grape juice and pour out 1/3 cup of it down the drain or drink it. I then pour in 1/3 cup of Heinz Apple Cider and mix it up and chill in refrigerator. I drink one cup of that mixture everday with 2 tablespoons of Kretschmer's wheat germ added. The easiest way to do this is to take an empty bottle of Kretschmer's and put a piece of tape on it at the one cup level. The day before pour in the jar one cup of that mixture and add 2 tablespoons Wheat Germ. I swirl it around in the jar and drink it down. My Sinuses have cleared up as well as my Arthitis.
