Treatments for pelvic inflammatory disease involve options that both eliminate the symptoms of the condition as well as the cause. A variety of natural supplements are able to accomplish both of these measures with no adverse effect on the rest of the body. Common treatments include baking soda, garlic, turmeric and others.

What is Pelvic Inflammatory Disease?

An infection of the female reproductive organs, pelvic inflammatory disease is typically caused by sexually transmitted bacteria. Bacteria typically spreads from the vagina to the uterus and upper genital tract upon sexual contact.

While some women experience no symptoms of the condition, others may experience pain in the lower abdomen, heavy vaginal discharge, vaginal odor, irregular menstrual bleeding, pain during intercourse, low back pain, fever, fatigue, diarrhea and vomiting. Several factors may contribute to the onset of the condition. Unprotected sexual intercourse, intrauterine device insertion, childbirth, miscarriage, abortion and an endometrial biopsy may introduce bacteria into the system that can lead to pelvic inflammatory disease.

Natural Remedies for Pelvic Inflammation

Many natural treatment options effectively treat the condition and prevent further complications from the disorder. Some of the most common treatments include baking soda, garlic and turmeric.

This is how I made my Pelvic Inflammatory Disease go away, take organic garlic, thyme & whole lemon. Cut up the garlic squeeze the lemon & put everything all together into a pot or teapot. That will turn it into a tea. I usually like to add green & white tea to it as well & that's what I did but you don't have to because if you look up the fact about garlic, lemon, thyme you'll notice they either have omega 3 and anti-inflammatory as well as anti-bacterial and great for fighting fungus infections ; treating everything the natural way. "WORKS"!! The first day drink this tea the pain with go away 30 minutes later and you should not experience any problems :) Drink this tea 2 to 3 times a day for two weeks or less. "EVERY BODY IS DIFFERENT" but this REALLY helped me out big time. I don't know if this treatment will work for everyone but it worked for me & I'm free of pelvic pain, discharge and bad odor.

If you're female, take a largish clove of garlic, crush and split it somewhat lengthwise to form a cavity, drop 2 or 3 drops of oregano oil into it and push it inside the vagina to the back so it doesn't fall out. Be careful not to spill the oil. It will burn a bit, but the burn goes away in a few minutes. Leave it in for a day or two at a time.
