I developed dry eye and dry mouth from taking SIBO antibiotics 6 months ago. Several weeks ago my eyes started itching like crazy.......at first I thought it was allergies. Itching and watering. I even made my forehead bleed scratching it was so bad. So I started thinking and researching and finally realized that dry eye also include the same symptoms. Fast forward another week and I started getting very congested and thought I had a sinus infection. Went to the doctor and he said no just allergies. Recommended Flonase which I was already using. I asked him if there was a way to test for histamine intolerance and he just blew me off. I had been doing sea salt nasal rinses for the past few days and my blood pressure is staying up around 140........usually around 120. So tonight I was at the computer researching and started thinking about the green tea I started making and drinking many times a day SEVERAL WEEKS AGO. While green tea is good for most people it can calm the histamine release slowing histamine clearance and leading to an intolerance among some people who have compromised immune system. I will test this theory..........may take a few days because my sinuses are so clogged.
