From the Book: Miracle Medicine Foods, p. 33. 1977 by Rex Adams
In Old-Fashioned Health Remedies That Work Best (Parker Publishing Co., Inc., 1977), L.L. Schneider, D.C., N.D., says he recovered from pleurisy and a collapsed lung, using a grape juice diet to eliminate mucus and phlegm. He has remained on this diet as long as seven weeks, considers it miraculous, says nothing else has worked as well, and that it gives him amazing energy! In severe cases, he recommends that you eat nothing except undiluted, unsweetened grape juice, as much as desired, for three or four weeks (grapes may be eaten, as well). In less severe cases, he recommends a meat and grape juice diet (see Chapter 4). The grape juice seems to cleanse the blood of poisons. No cure, but amazing relief is claimed. He tells of a patient, Mrs. G., in her late sixties, with an advanced case of emphysema, and very labored breathing: 500 cc was all she could exhale. With this diet, in one week she was exhaling 2,000 cc, an improvement of three hundred percent! He reports another case of advanced emphysema, a mine worker, 63, who had a bloated belly due to labored breathing. He followed the diet faithfully, and his breathing improved rapidly—in fact, his bloated belly lost one inch per day, every day for a week.
