I had a client with Bell's Palsy. She came to me and I had her massage her face with the Black Seed and Habbatus Sauda oils and take it internally too. She took 1 teaspoon of black seed oil daily with some honey. It is best to take the oil 1/2 hour before breakfast.

Her testimony is that her face returned 110%.

"I've been putting it on my face full strength since the Bells Palsy with great results and no reactions of any kind so I think it's safe. My face is nearly back to normal.

I recently have tried using Tumeric to reduce the nagging ache you get with bells palsy , I used to be munching pain killers like they were sweets to alleviate the constant ache , I also have had the eye problem which goes with it. I bought a small jar of Tumeric from the local supermarket and decided to give it a go as I had read it was a good anti inflamitory. I mixed a half teaspoon of powder in half a wine glass of water once in the morning and once about an hour before bed. Its not the most pleasant thing as it tastes like drinking dirt but it has worked for me , not completley removed the symptoms but 95% gone and I cant remember the last time I had to take pain killers. It seems to have sorted my eye out too. Also have tried colloidal silver for sinus issues and it actually works when you put it up your nose , again not very pleasant but twice a day works for me.

I had my bells palsy last October 27,2016. I looked up for a neurologist and gave me medications like steroids 2x a day, vitamins B1, B6 & B12, for 3x a day and physical therapy once a day for 3 weeks. (Included in the PT is the facial exercises) that helps the muscles relax. It was 1 month and 3 weeks I already feel the changes. The droop face recovered earlier than expected. I also researched for best food that is rich in Vit. B1, B6 and B12. Meat and seafoods, dairy products, fruits and vegetables and fortified foods which is rich in vitamins B. It really helps my bells palsy recover soon. In a little span of time, exactly 3 months I'm already healed. I also take at least 7 to eight hours of sleep.

Colloidal Silver

Hi, I developed a facial palsy about 5 years ago. I only recovered about 50-60%. I don't have any drooping on my face, but my smile is still very lopsided. Also, when I smile, the eye on the affected side tries to close, and my chin is still dimpled. Last, every time I catch a cold or any kind of upper respiratory infection, I get pain behind my ear in the exact same spot as when the palsy first started. Do you think I could benefit from using the colloidal silver at this point so much later? Thanks for any advice you may have.

Hello:

I am a 56 yr old female and contracted Bell's palsy a couple months ago. The entire left side of my face was paralyzed, mouth drooping and could not close my left eye. Also, my hearing was affected - loud noises hurt my ears. I also was concerned about potential damage to the retina from the palsy in my left eye since my eye would not close unless it was taped shut. I went to Dr. Chen at the Chapel Hill Integrative Medicine clinic and had 3 acupuncture treatments once a week for 3 weeks. I am completely healed, with no residual effects. My ears are still sensitive, however, I can say (with a full smile now) that I'm as good as new!

My buddy Fran came to work one Friday with half his face hanging down like a slab of silly putty. He said, in a sad, slurred voice, "It's Bell's Palsy. Doc says it's caused by a virus, will go away in weeks, or months, or a year."

I took him aside and told him if it was a virus he could try some things. Of course he was desperate to try anything. "off the top of my head, vitamins A, C, D, and E kill viruses. So do zinc, selenium, iodine, and colloidal silver. Also elderberries, echinacea and astragulus are anti-viral."

Monday he came in all smiles, with a normal face and just a hint of a slurred voice. "Wow! What did you do?"

"I took all those things you told me about" I never found out the dosages but it was probably a lot.

That afternoon he called his Doc an said, "Guess what, I'm well! "

"I can tell by your voice! The Doc enthused, "What did you do?"

" I took a bunch of supplements! "

"The Doc's voice fell. "I must have misdiagnosed."

Fran said, " A fine thing. How do you misdiagnose half my face hanging like a side of Meat?"

Keep searching, keep looking, keep positive, keep spiritual.... It may be a long road ahead. My journey started in May 2010 when I had tooth pain. Two teeth got drilled. I had been clenching my teeth nocturnally (TMJ). I finally got a TMJD diagnosis and treatment in July 2010. I felt better right away b/c the joints were put back in the correct place. Unfortunately I could not control my mouth. It would spasm and the muscles didn't work. I thought it was due to the clenching and grinding. I massaged them a little and worked to loosen them up with magnesium, etc. I had severe anxiety (unlike anything I have felt before in my life). I literally felt like I was dying (and I was). I did PT and myofacial trigger point therapy. Months went by... Almost 8 months. I tried to "relax" and be "calm" I "reduced stress" got psychotherapy, etc. After 8months I said something else is definitely going on.... I started going to PT again, went to a DO, chiro, etc. My face was out of control... The nerves, muscles, tissue, everything. I had been taking huge MSM dosages and taking all kinds of supplements/minerals but for some reason things were not getting better - but worse! I really didn't know what was going on. I did acupuncture and it helped... But the muscles would tense up right afterwards or stay tense (the never released). Acupuncture gave some relief but not that much. I didn't know what to do... My world was upside down. I still kept going. There was a little spark in me. I said, Okay maybe I won't be able to eat solid foods again... I'm doing everything I can to figure things out. I can't blame myself. I kept searching. I then went to a fibromyalgia specialist and he finally diagnosed me with Lyme. It's been 3weeks (and eye opening 3 weeks)... And I've been taking huge Vitamin C dosage (30 grams), taking dozens upon dozens of vitamins/minerals especially b-vitamins, oil orgeno, activated charcoal, etc. and changing my entire diet. I've got some of my face back.

Doing more Google work I realize that these are all linked... The facial pain, bell's palsy, TMJD, dental fillings, etc. ALL LINKED. Unliked the field of medicne... The body is one unit. It does not have "specialist" for this or that... they are all linked.

So now I've slowly regained my facial muscles, I still cannot chew but at least I know what is going on!

All throughout I looked at Earthclinic.com... After the initial 8mths of anger/bitterness I tried to think of it more of it as a puzzle. The fact that crying, being angry, bitter, dislike for other, etc. isn't going to get me anywhere.

I'm still confused. I'm still bewildered and how things change so quickly "all of a sudden" but I'm also hopeful. Slowly I'm figuring things out.

I'm going to go see a premier "biological dentist" in Houston to see the amount of bacteria that lies under my teeth. Then I'm gonig back to another southern state to my TMJD specialist... The best in the country to realign my splint (which I've been wearing for 1. 5 years). Will things be perfect? We do not now but I have learned through this experience so much... And most important accepting reality. That doesn't mean that you have to accept the "way you are now" be spiritial, be optimistic, be hopeful... And keep looking for answers. Don't give up. You don't have to accept a "new normal" but you do have to accept reality for the way it is now. You can help shape your destiny. You can help shape your future. You have to have commitment and have that little "spark" in you... And whatever you do keep it alive. Keep the spark alive... and you will be okay.

Eliminate Manganese

Candy, Bells Palsy is often triggered by virus and low magnesium. We cured my husband's with magnesium oil and progesterone cream topically. He also took turmeric and black pepper 2x a day. My homemade mouthwash will also boost magnesium levels and will halt most dental issues.

In a 1 liter bottle, add 1/2 mineral water, 1/2 milk of magnesia, 2 tsp baking soda and 2 to 5 drops peppermint essential oil.

Shake and use between brushing as mouth rinse and brush wetter. I use baking soda as my toothpaste. I leave my rinse without rinsing out with water as it helps.

Take mag citrate or 5 drops of mag oil in water 2x a day to bowel tolerance. These will reduce symptoms quickly and cured his bells palsy. Ted recommends the progesterone cream in more stubborn cases.

I am 2 months into dealing withc Bell's Palsy and have had limited success. Was given steroids and anti virals for the first week. Have had 20 acupuncture treatments. My biggest problem is I still can't close my right eye. I would appreciate any suggestions that seem to work. Thanks, Don J

I know for me Bell's Palsy had nothing to do with chicken pox, shingles, cold sores virus etc. I've never suffered from any of that. I also don't have Lyme's Disease. Dental doesn't seem to be a concern either. I did help lift a person who grabbed my neck to assist in the lifting, and then 2 days later woke up with a pain in the base of my skull and cramps behind my ear. About 15 minutes later my mouth went numb and I had trouble blinking my eye. Next thing I knew, my right side was paralyzed from moving but I never lost any feeling. My hearing in my right ear became super-human. Someone whispers and it sounds like they are screaming. I tried a chiropractor and it seemed to make matters worse for me, but I don't want to discourage anyone from seeking that as an option. In my case I believed a pinched nerve or something like that was the culprit. So I started a daily routine 6 weeks ago. WATER ONLY. I've drank nothing but water. Organic fruit and vegetables. Started taking sublingual B-12, B-12 tabs, Lysine, Calcium, Flax Oil, Omega-3 and B-6. These I found at Walmart for reasonable prices. I doubled the recommended doses for myself, and I took as much B-12 as I could stand because it's supposed to be harmless. I then started taking Colloidal Silver immediately, which was just a precaution in the event that I somehow had an infection. I could only find Colloidal Silver in a healthfood store, but Walgreen's offered to order it for me. I just didn't want to wait for it. I fasted for a day, drinking water when I felt hungry.

I don't know if any of this truly worked for me or not, it may be a placebo effect or just natural course, but I'm 6 weeks in and I've regained the ability to move my nostril, my speech is no longer slurred, I can blink my eye with no problem. I still can't lift my eyebrow, and when I smile my right corner still droops. Did the vitamins and diet work? I don't know. Was it the chiropractor? I don't know either. I'm still going to continue taking them cause even if they didn't work, they made me feel as though I was doing something to better myself. I also used a back massager and massaged my face every 2 hours to stimulate the nerves. I practice A E I O U and exagerate the formation of the letters with my mouth. I hold my eyebrow in place as I mentally think about lifting them, and then lift my left one. I do the same with the corner of my mouth. I've still got some recovering to do. I know B-12 and B-6 are good for your nerve endings and muscles. For a few bucks it's worth a try right?

My son had bell palsy 4 times. The first time he has when he was 6 yrs old, and Dr gave him steroid and he recovered. The 2nd time, he had it when he was 9 yrs old and again Dr gave him steroid but it took 2 mths before he recovered. The 3rd time, had when he was 11 yrs old, and Dr gave him steroid and he had to go for MRI, blood test etc, and the results came out negative but it took him 6 mths to recover, and he had to go for accupressure and craniasacral treatment. At 12 yrs old, got it again, and given steroid but no changes so this time I gave him black seed oil, habbatus sauda, kalonji oil for 2 mths, 450 mg 3x a day , his face is back to normal.

Be careful about Manganese -- it can cause symptoms of Parkinsons' Disease or Bells Palsy. I was taking a number of supplements that included manganese. The muscles on the right side of my face started to go slack and I was unable to use my mouth effectively. I thought I was having a stroke. Luckily I had a friend over who took me to the emergency room. I was diagnosed with Bells Palsy. It was supposed to go away within 1-2 months. It persisted for "7" months. I ran across something on the interment stating that overdosing on manganese can cause Parkinson's type symptoms. After checking the supplements I was taking I found that I was taking roughly 600 to 800 times the daily recommended allowance of this mineral. After I threw out these supplements my Bells started to clear up. If you have any similar type symptoms check what you're taking and eliminate those with manganese.

Hi, Thank you for making such a place where natural remedies are discussed. Highly appreciate it! I got bell's palsy in last month of pregnancy. Did take steroids but 48hrs later. It's been 11 months and have only improved 50% if that. I have tried massage, acupuncture (50-60 sessions by now), chiropractor, turmeric, ginger, bunch of different vitamins, essential oils, castor oils and heat packs, yoga, meditation and CS (for last 3 weeks). Nothing seems to have clicked so far. As soon as I started meditation my eye started closing which was a great help. But no further improvements after that.

Can you please suggest if there's anything else I can try? Also I read about DMSO and CS combining and applying. IS it something that can still work? or am I too late for that? Is there any way I can learn that virus is there or not and/or may be virus is gone and nerves are damaged? How do I help nerve regeneration.

Thanks a ton!

I went to a doctor for bells palsy and he said the only thing he could do was give me a steroid shot which did nothing. Days later I went to an accupuncturist who told me she had good results with this condition, but it may take several sessions. I must have been lucky because I had one session and my face was completely back to normal. Accupuncture is wonderful for many things.

Bells Palsy is a calcium deficeincy. I have now had 8 peoples faces back to normal in 2 weeks by giving them oral spray calcium. Number 9 is trying it now. I don't know if calcium pills would help as quickly but it has to work over the long run. The spray is sprayed on the inside of the cheeks, 6 sprays twice a day, for two weeks. I did find that one friend that had contracted it 4 years before, it didn't help but the other 8 started it within a week of the symtoms starting and all were back to normal in 2 weeks.

I too have read Don Lepore's "Ultimate healing Guide" and have found it helpful in many instances. As another reader mentions he talks about the possibility of a sodium deficiency if it affects the left side and a potassium deficiency if it affects the right side. I had been feeling bad the last few days with tingling in my tongue, swelling gums, occasionally a pain behind my ear and eyes twitching. Very scary! The base of my neck also felt weird and weak?.I only slept 3 hrs last night as I was so anxious. I went to the chiro and nothing. I tried several supplements and natural muscle relaxants? But when I drank some water with some sea salt, it went away within 1 hr! I don't know if this will help anyone else, but I'm just saying my experience and I'm so grateful for it! I will also be taking some colloidal silver to be safe?.

Hello Brian,

In analyzing your Bell's Palsey, I noticed you mentioned the "super sensitivity" of your hearing... Possibly "Hyperacusis" which is often associated with ear infection. Many think Bell's is caused by a virus which takes off in the nerve going from base of the mouth toward the ear on both sides of the face. Usually the Bell's virus (and can be many different kinds of viruses) come from the mouth after dental work, but the virus can also come from the ear into the eustacian tube and then into mouth and finally into the nerve.

You said you are taking Lysine, a virus killer. So from what you said you may have gotten Bell's from a viral infection, and possibly from the ear, given your probable "Hyperacusis. " The Lysine is helping kill the virus.

Google "hyperacusis caused by virus" or "super sensitive hearing viral causation" and lots of sites will come up demonstrating the connection.

The best way to kill a virus is with Colloidal Silver. I make my own so I know the concentration is strong. Once I did get a right side Bell's conditon, and applied CS mixed in with about equal amount of DMSO as a carrier and penetrant and literally in fifteen minutes the frozen right side was 90 percent back to normal. If the virus is allowed to live a long time you can have nerve damage so the various vitamins you are taking to help nerve growth is wise. But consider the CS plus DMSO formula.

I am trying to work out why no one has tried Homeopathy? I am a homeopath in training and there is no reason why homeopathy shouldnt be able to deal with bells palsy. Providing you see a reputable and fully qualified homeopath. I am in training on a BSc course in London and I know homeopathy is quite unused in the US. Please seek out an experienced homeopath and give it a try. It's not usually a silver bullet in terms of speed. Being a process that takes the whole person into account, sometimes other symptoms that may have appeared before will need to be cleared (although sometimes if an aetiology can be found & correct remedy found, healing can equally be very rapid)

Acupuncture is also good as it works on energy centres, but the practitioner again needs to be very experienced. Did you know up until the 1930s 3 out of every 5 doctors in the USA were homeopaths. Then.... Antibiotics, drug development, politics, big pharma.... They don't want people getting better!!! You do the math. Homepathy is cheap AND no side effects AND you do not need to keep taking pills - Law of the minimum dose. Get discovering....

Hello Nagesh,

Re your question in dealing with Bells' Palsy.

If you look under Earth Clinic "Ailments" section and look up Bells' Palsy...I have a post that discussed killing the underlying virus which I believe causes Bells' Palsy. The post is a response to a thread under the "Castor Oil" subsection (under "Ailments"..."Bell's Palsy"). I also have an article up on the "Remedies" section of Earth Clinic where under "Colloidal Silver" EC has published a brief article, in which I discuss Bells' Palsy.

The idea of "viral cause" is worth taking the time to read how I cured myself of BP. The experience was frightening (paralysis)...and taught me the power of Silver atoms.

I have read some encouraging news that methylcobalamin (B12) may help recover (or reform) the myelin nerve covering that is thought to be a culprit in Bells Palsy onset. I am in my second bout with Bells Palsy (after eight years Palsy free) and I will be trying this and reporting on my findings. My last bout I went through over a year of physical therapy and also was prescribed prednisone (the prednisone didn't seem to help at all), after the over a year of therapy I regained about 60% of my facial movement, therapy consisted of electric stim and ultrasound. This time around I have my own electric stim and that's it, I do half hour daily. I am ordering methylcobalamin and hope that will help to fully recover this round. I will report back in the future on this.

Dental Problems and Bells Palsy
Posted by Karen (Gillette, Wy) on 10/25/2009

I awoke about a year ago with one side of my face severely swollen and paralyzed. My ear was bothering me and I thought it was just a very bad ear infection. When I went to my doctor he said I had Bells Palsy and it should go away in a few weeks to months. He also asked if I had been in an accident. After three months of getting no better, I went to my chiropractor and she took xrays stating that I had been in an accident. I thougth car wreck when I heard that and insisted that "no" I had not been in an accident. She showed me the xray showing whip lash. I thought about it and recalled that 2 days before I woke up swollen my daughter had been swinging her arms as we walked through the park.. she caught my chin and in one swoop my teeth hit together hard. She saw what she had done and began crying. I checked my teeth then forgot about it.. trying to console her. I had no pain, no apparent cracked teeth and no bleeding.. so I forgot about it until I saw that I had pain free whiplash: I had asked my doctor if a neglected tooth could've caused my problem.. I also asked my dentist.. they both said "no." I had the tooth in question fixed after 3 months of looking like a monster. My face "centered" within hours. again.. no pain at all. the root canal failed in 2 months.. I still had a palsy.. long story short, for a year I had to go into the dentist and convince him that I had a fracture in a tooth.. 5 teeth were removed as a root canal does not hold in a cracked root. I also went to Quantum Energetics and discovered some bone toxins from my bouts with the cracked roots that apparently do not show up on dental x rays but DO cause a seepage of infection. After the last tooth and QE and a year, I now have most of my smile back. I spent a year looking like a monster and paying repeatedly for dentist visits to convince them I needed my teeth pulled.. each time that was the only thing that made me better. Now I know that a cracked root is something they cannot see.. .a tooth problem contrary to what they told me CAN cause Bells Palsy and I probably would've become very very sick from all the dental poisons had I not done my own research and insisted on what needed to be done.

Please ascertain that your "Bells Palsy" is not from a dental problem.. also check for lyme disease and try a natural antiviral.. I hate that anyone else is suffering as I did.. it's hurtful.
