I was diagnosed with copd back. after I developed a mucus cough. I had quit smoking 40 years ago but dr's said that is why I now had copd. I was put on Anoro Ellipta which I didn't find helped long story short I got a fingernail fungus and used all kinds of otc meds for 1 year to no avail. Went to dr and was given terbinafine, at the 40 day mark I felt like I had my old life back, breathing was excellent, energy off the charts. This lasted for 2 weeks as the side effect of diarrhea....told G.P., Pulmonologist and they said no way that was possible end of story with them. So now the research began and I'm thinking I have a fungus in my lungs and no one believes me. On April 10th I was coughing so much that I didn't know what else to do, meds, inhaler, mucus dm, sudafed, ibruprohen. There wasn't anything else I could take....so Lord, what am I to do? He said....take sulfur! I took 3 grams of sulfur and in less that 10 minutes the coughing stopped. Today is May 8th I'm still taking 3 grams and nothing else....no meds . Found a new pulmonologist April 30 who actually believes me and did some blood work to prove this fungus and is looking into more info on the sulfur. I don't want to take any fungus pharmaceutical drugs, so will work on taking the best of all the former suggestions other have suggested.
