Itchy butt: Try Zinc Oxide, It is often in remedies for diaper rash. I used it on my kids and when I had that same problem, it worked on me.

I have had an itchy butthole for as long as I can remember. Tried EVERYTHING, creams, vinagars, oils, cleaning etc, NOTHING works. Until one day I bought some over the counter allergy medicine, ya know? for like pollen and sneezing and stuff, well it also says stops itchy skin conditions. Now I'm convinced, it must have been an allergy or something all this time, once I started taking this stuff, (one small pill a day) gone! No more sticking my finger in my buttcrack all day, and I can sleep once again. Lovin' it!!

But Itch, or Anul Puritus, I am concerned at the comments from someone about stopping probiotics. I have suffered from this condition for 30 years, doctors have no idea what causes it and go for the old "don't scratch, keep it clean, don't drink coffee ETC ETC. All Rubbish. My research has narrowed it down to a lack of good bacteria in part of the colon, the lack of these bacteria cause a higher alkaline excretions with stools and this causes the itch. This is why some people get help from the use of ACV because it is acid. But all of these treatments are like the stupid doctors only treat the symtom. To treat the problem we need to get the Bifidofolus back into the gut. One link I think it was springer link put me onto a research paper that had people use Malt Soup Extract and most of these people got great results in stopping the itch. But MSE is almost impossible to get so I use Malt Extract and probotics. The best thing to stop the itch is capsicum cream at about 25% stings like hell for a short period then the P factor cut the itch right out.

My husband had anal itching for years, and years. Finally I cracked down and told him he was taking acidophilis. He was amazed! He couldn't believe that I knew what he needed when he explained the problem well enough and I put him on a good probiotic. He found after that, just wiping w/tissue fixed the problem instead of his having to leave a wet washcloth in the floor for me to wash every day. But, he'd always had to wash well w/water to keep from itching terribly. Sure smoothed out a rough spot in our marriage! Lol

All the remedies, salves, and other solutions on this site for everything from itchy butt to racing stripes can be answered with one thing. Washing!! If you search "bidet bottle", you will find information. Read all about the centuries old culture of water and all the good things about water hygiene starting with being clean as can be and also to detect early signs of colorectal issues or digestive issues. See how it improves your life and your relationships. It is a great and environmentally good alternative to wiping with paper. Remember, colorectal cancer is the #1 killer among non smokers. No fanfair or pink ribbons for this cancer, spread the word.

I'm sorry your bum is the cause of so much pain. I suffered for a year with your affliction, but I found the cure.

1. ) Use only Tucks Hemorrhoidal Medicated Pads, or better yet, a generic brand.

2. ) Take 1 Loratadine (10 mg) per day. (Or, if you want the name brand, buy Claritin and enrich the capitalists.)

This will help you. Your life will be better.

Yours Truly,

A Formerly Itchy Comrade

I went to dr a few times on this issue, ive tried prep h which helped temporarily, but it only came back, when I went to doc first time he gave me some kind of antifungal sumthincazole was the antifungal I cant remeber it helped but the itch returned. my last trip to doc he gave me this big tub of salve. I used it for like a couple days and the itch never returned again I mean rarely like its been two years now. The doc gave me like four refills on this stuff but I barely used a few days of it, it comes in a 1lb jar 453. 6 grams all I know is the itch has never came back if it does just put a little cream on it and its gone instantly. anyways the cream was "Triamcinolone Acetonide Cream USP, 0. 1%" This stuff worked I think the stuff only costs me like 4 dollars at most so its cheap and it works. Good luck it cured my itch. GOOD LUCK ask you doc for this stuff as it worked for me after all the failed attempts prior

Apply some virgin coconut oil to the area. Avoid coffee and peanut butter. Eat oatmeal the next day. You need fiber!
