Lemon & Olive Oil: Effective Kidney Stone Home Remedy

Wow - I've been plagued with kidney stones since I was 14 years old (now 36)... My husband is in the Air Force, so I've had the opportunity to see many urologists regarding my problem from all over the world. None have ever mentioned this simple remedy - and boy does it ever work for the type of stones I produce!! Last week I passed yet another stone and when I woke up with flank pain this Saturday, I decided to search for a natural remedy - Found this site, tried it last night before I went to bed and "bam"... the pain has moved south and I've been eliminating tiny white shards of stones all morning long. (they are normally brown - I've been searching for some of the old ones I collect to drop in the solution to see what happens, but can't find them). Anyhoo - has anyone tried doing this as a regular regimen to eep the stones at bay - say every week or two?? I'm going to start it every Friday night from here on out and see what happens - I'll be back with more info in a month or two...

I am a 48-year-old male in otherwise outstanding health. I'm an ultrarunner and that could be why I suffered my first bout of kidney stones this past Saturday. Thursday morning, bingo, easy as you please both rocks came out. Coincidence or cure? I don't really care because it worked for me in 48 hours with no pain.

After suffering two weeks with the worst back pain imaginable, I found your site. At 9:00 PM friday night I drank the mixture followed by lots of water (a little more than a liter). I have suffered with kidney stones for twenty years. About six months ago I felt another one strike. Those of you that suffer know the pain well and the location based on the pain. I suffered with this pain for almost six months and finally went to the hospital. I found that I had two stones the size of a dime in the left kidney and about a 5mm on the right side that was basically hung before going into the bladder. The doctor scheduled me for surgery with fear that one of the kidneys would get blocked. In that week he was still in pain and still passing more small stones occasionally. Sometimes he said it felt like what he was passing was grainy and sandy. So after a week of that we go back to the doctor and see his regular doctor. He told Steve that is urine sample was good and clear and he couldn't understand why Steve was still passing stones and hurting. He wanted to do another CT Scan that day but they were behind. He asked us if we would hang around for another 2 hours and do the scan because he had the OR the next day and if he found something he'd go ahead and put him in the hospital and do another surgery on him then. Soooooooo That is what we did. Mind you, we never told that doctor about the concoction Steve had drank. Ok after the CT scan was done we were in the room where they look at the results. The Doctor was showing us that everything looked clear. Steve told him to scroll up to his left kidney and let's just look that old Stag horn stone. The Doctor said ok but he was sure it would be unchanged because he didn't get anywhere close to it during surgery.They can't get to those anyway. Well......He scrolled up there and about fell off his stool! It was GONE! Me and Steve just looked at each other and I knew we were both thinking the same thing. We never did tell that Doctor what we had done. We figured he's just poo poo it because those doctors don't want you to know stuff like that! How would they make any money .

I'm a Believer! Thanks so much for this website. I was afflicted on Christmas Day with excruciating pain in my right side. After being rushed to urgent care I was diagnosed with kidney stones, given some pain meds and a pee strainer and sent home. I was stuck in the bed for the first week. The pain meds don't take away the pain, they just make it barely bearable. After 2 weeks of no change I decided to search for home remedies. I had previously read about apple cider vinegar, and then the olive oil and lemon juice concoction. I decided to try 2 oz of all 3 ingredients. I was desperate! I drank it down in 2 gulps followed by a glass of water and then cranberry juice and went to bed. The next morning the pain was actually bearable without pain meds. Within a few more hours, all the pain was gone. As far as I know I have not passed the stone or stones, but I am pain free! I tried the Lemon Juice and Olive Oil remedy this weekend. THe stone has been there for a year now and finally decided to move this weekend, so pain pills were not doing the trick, so i tried the Lemon Juice and olive oil remedy..It totally helps!!!! I took it after a big dinner and it just sat in my stomach but the pain was gone and i was able to sleep. The next morning i got pain again so i drank it again, on an empty stomach. Don't do that. I felt sick the whole day, pain was gone but sick to my stomach. And i feel 100xs better today still a bit sore, but nothing like what i would be feeling like. So try it!! But take it with food makes a big difference.

Hi! all, I'm 18 weeks pregnant, and 9 days ago I was admitted to the hospital with an excruciating in my left flank. I was told I had a 4mm kidney stone. I started with this problem a couple of months ago, and i wish i would of went to this site then. I had three attacks in the last two months and i thought i was going to die, but i made it through. i have been telling everybody about this site. the stone was about 4mm. Just an update to my post of 10/01/06. Here it is, nearly two months later and my ex-husband has had no more problems. He drank three doses of the 2 oz lemon juice/2 oz olive oil *cocktail* and the pain disappeared. Then, during a pre-op test, they could no longer find the kidney stone. So far, pain from kidney stones is gone thank God and thanks to this page. First off...thank God for this page! In January, 2006, I was at work and became incapacitated due to lumbar and flank pain. I was sweating profusely, and skin was cold to the touch. It was one of the worst pains I had ever experienced. It was so bad, I was taken to the local ER by my wife. A KUB film (ie kidney, urinary bladder x-ray)and CT of the abdomen revealed 3 kidney stones, an 8mm in the left kidney, and two 4 mm in the right. Extracorporeal lithotripsy was indicated, but I didn't have thirty or forty grand to spend on it. This began an ordeal for about 10 months plus, in which some days were ok, and some days I had to stay on heavy duty pain pills to function. But, things took a turn for the worse. The pain was daily now, and getting worse. It became almost impossible to stand up to wash the dishes at home. Then, in desperation, I started Googling for possible remedies. I found this page, and at first blush, I thought, what good will lemon juice and olive oil do? After all, I reasoned that my stones were composed of Calcium Oxalate, and would not dissolve in acid urine. But, when disabling pain is the only alternative, you try anything, so I sent my wife to get some olive oil and lemonade. They were out of the cold pressed extra virgin olive oil, so she got the house brand. She got the lemon juice from concentrate. I mixed up the brew and chugged it down fast, followed by a glass of water. Surprisingly, it did not taste that bad. The next morning, I got out of bed early...dreading the pain in the left lower abdomen and low back. It didn't appear! I waited nervously the rest of the day. Nothing. At the end of the day, I took another dose for good measure. I haven't been aware that I have passed the stones, but the absence of disabling pain is such a Godsend, I cannot tell you how wonderful it is to be able to get up early again and do my chores and enjoy life. I searched the web when a friend said he thought he had kidney stones again (prev. had kidney stones 7 yrs. ago). He recognized the symptoms - nausea, vomiting, chills/fever, severe lower back pain. A trip to the ER confirmed what he had thought - yes, kidney stones. After leaving the ER with a RX for pain medication, my friend took the home remedy & called me today (11 hours later) & said he passed the stone!!!! This is such valuable info!
