I had the flu and now 4 weeks later, I still have blocked nasal and sinus passages. Over the counter decongestants and sprays worked for a short while but I believe excessive use of them has now actually caused further congestion. I can't sleep at night, and my throat is sore from continually breathing through my mouth, constant pressure in the sinuses, it's even difficult to talk. I read the tomato juice recipe and went hunting in my cabinets. Believe it or not I found that Bloody Mary Mix (without the alcohol) has similar ingredients and it worked within 1/2 hour. The ingredients on the bottle read: Water, tomato paste, horseradish, sea salt, Worcestershire sauce, vinegar, molasses, anchovies, sardine, onion, garlic, cloves,chili peters, eschalots, lemon juice, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper. Thanks for the idea."
