TED'S REMEDIES
08/05/2005: Ted from Bangkok, Thailand writes: "I am surprised you are not aware of the amazing sea salt! In Thailand I use Thai sea salt. So any local sea salt would do. But based on the Thai sea salt I used here, it is a very effective antibiotic!
Sea salt is the world's oldest antibiotic known to man. Somewhere along the way, history books have forgotten this great medicine that bacteria and viruses offered absolutely no resistance to it whatsoever. It is the simplest medicine I have ever known. For those people who want an even more powerful medicine, just add one whole lemon juice to sea salt and its antibiotic and antiviral capabilities is extended many times. For me in practice, just sea salt works wonders. No you don't need Himalyan sea salt, or Dead sea salt, for me local Thai sea salt works amazingly well anyway. Of course, I did not get a chance to try other sea salt, but I am certain thai sea salt works better than any antibiotics I am aware of, well at least for common ailments we experience everyday.
Sea salt does not raise blood pressure that much. What raises your blood pressure is usually the common salt you buy from supermarket. Cooked hot dogs with additives raises your blood pressure. Eating salted potato chips raises your blood pressure. Eating sugar PLUS salt raises your blood pressure. In fact I read a research which tested the effect of blood pressure on just sea salt alone - negligible increases. Apparently sodium gets the blame but in fact other additives were responsible for the sodium retention and absorption. For example, salt and monosodium glutamate taken together, and wow my blood pressure went skyrocketing. Eating french fries especially salted one skyrockets too, apparently it might be the cancer causing acrylamide when vegetable oils is heated at high temperatures and interferes with liver function.
Let me tell you briefly how well sea salt has worked. Benjamin Franklin mentioned in his bibliography that when he has a cold, he went to the sea and drank the water. The water was full of salt, so he was cured the next day. Yes, sea salt has antiviral properties.
Not convincing enough? Well some time ago, I KNOW colloidal silver works against urinary tract infections. Of course they are mild and takes weeks or days to cure using colloidal silver. But wow, last month I HAD a terrible urinary tract infection that lasted weeks. It was done on purpose as I was aware of sea salt effect. So I saved the best for the last and through using the process of elimination after trying antibiotics from A-Z, nothing worked, even the well-known erythromycin, ciproflaxin, and related antibiotics. Then I finally tested 2 teaspoons of sea salt and the pain subsided within minutes. Just one dose, seems to have a long term killing effect and it was completely gone without even the slightest pain within 7 days. Coincidence? My sister on 4 August 2005 had a stomach disorder AND urinary tract infection and she was on her second day. Again we tried all the usual antibiotics, and even some thai herbal medicine nothing worked. So I told my sister, if you want to go to work today you take sea salt or you do what mother tells you and go to the hospital, it is getting serious. So she decided to take 2 teaspoon of sea salt. Within 30 minutes the pain subsided greatly. Within 1.5 hours, my sister went to work.
Now colloidal silver has a competitor that works better: sea salt. In practice, synergism is the day. Mixing sea salt and colloidal silver works better too. Many people with lyme disease, lupus, stomach disorders, fibromyalgia, ec. told me their conditions were relieved just by taking sea salt. Of course there are variations, that worked better, such as sea salt + a couple of drops hydrogen peroxide, sea salt + vitamin C and lemon, sea salt plus apple cider vinegar, etc.
I am getting rave reviews and these variations works. Writing this single issue on sea salt could take me days, but the gist of the information, this is enough for you to begin trying them.""
Replies01/08/2009: Anonymous from NY, NY replies: "Ted, does this have to be unrefined sea salt or can it be sea salt? My health food store sells both, I guess the unrefined is handpicked and dried in piles in the dun, the regular sea salt is boiled. There is a significant cost difference, so does it matter? I get the impression any sea salt will do? Thanx!"
12/17/2011: Watercure from London, United Kingdom replies: "Ted,I have started the watercure with Sea Salt, ACV, LEMON JUICE and Sparkling Water. Is it ok to use SPARKLING WATER or apple juice etc INSTEAD of plain water?
I have high BP and need to lose weight fast.
Thanks"

ACID REFLUX

[YEA] 10/20/2007: Greg from Franklin, MA writes: "I suffered everyday with acid creeping up and severely hindering my ability to enjoy things in life. I noticed two huge agitators: 1. Over-eating (easy to do for anyone in U.S.) 2. Chocolate (tends to be a great laxative, but also tends to promote the acid problem. Continually the damage done by Acid Reflux caused burning and I found that taking in a good amount of sea salt (with water, foods) cleared it up."

ALKALIZING SEA SALT REMEDIES

[QUESTION] 07/05/2010: Lori from Delta, Co writes: "I just tested my 1/4 tsp of sea salt in 32 oz of water and it is not alkalizing at all, it's around a 5 on my ph paper. my water from my fridge filter must be acidic. I thought adding the sea salt would alkalize it but it's an acidic formula. I then tested my whole lemon w/1/4 tsp of baking soda and it was very alkaline around 7.5 so i drank that down. I drink water w/sea salt daily and since I broke my arm 3 months ago it makes me swell. what can I add to the water mixture of sea salt and ? to make it alkaline? I also use the borax solution about every other day in my sea salt water. Can I take my lemon mixture and then have my peroxide mix of 3-4 drops in my 32 oz of water that I take to work to drink then I simply drink another 32 oz of plain water?"
Replies07/06/2010: Tom from Regina, Sk replies: "Lori:
Alkaline-Base can cover an entire major chemistry course, but for the body this article is quite good:
http://www.cancer-healing.com/acid_alkaline_balance.php
First, even a known highly alkalizing healthy food like lemon juice/drink will read as an ACID on a pH strip because it is an acid, but since it's a weakly-associated acid, it will break down in the body to easily expelled wastes with leftover alkaline minerals to increase the body pH (alkalize):
Weak acids like the acetic acid in vinegar, and the acids in most fruits and especially lemons, contain lots of minerals which are basic, along with their weak acid part. The weak acid part combines with water and is converted into carbonic acid which then breaks apart into carbon dioxide and water. You breathe out the carbon dioxide and pass the water out through your kidneys. The minerals remain behind to replenish deficient minerals so in fact these weak acids in the end, alkalize your body by supplying more minerals to it.
All those trace minerals in sea salt are alkalizing!
Blood serum has the same electrolyte composition as seawater, and that means all the trace minerals in it.
But most people are deficient in them.
If you hadn't "neutralized" the lemon juice by adding NaHCO3 to read 7.5pH, then you would have simply read an even higher number for the pure baking soda solution.
I'm not sure why you're experiencing edema "fluid swelling". Is it temporary, like only a few hours? Are your kidney function tests normal?
Perhaps someone else can help you with the pieces I've missed."

ARTHRITIS IN DOGS

[YEA] 04/24/2007: Bob from Moscow , PA writes: "If you check our pet testimonials On our watercure2.org site and read the home page story of how this was discovered, you will see that curing pet arthritis is not even a challenge. Just add unprocessed sea salt to its food and water and within 24 hours a pet will stand up and walk with a limp even though previously it had been unable to stand. Best of all it is free. Bob Butts

Replies[YEA] 11/27/2008: Dyz from East Bay, Cali replies: "watercure2.org site is right about the salts and curing pet arthritis.
I used Salts to help my GSD dog with her hips. I used Himalayan salt, which I turned into "sole". 1 teaspoon a day right into the food. My GSD dogs LOVE it!!! Within days she was up and running, chasing the ball. No more whining when she gets up or down. The only issue I had with using the salt was the detoxification effect. I paid 50.00$ for flea repellent (NO CHOICE BUT TO USE IT, I have tried EVERYTHING natural to keep the fleas away) To my surprise everyday when I combed the dogs the fleas were still there in large amounts. After a few weeks, I thought OH, I bet the salt is detoxifying the flea chemical out their bodies. I stopped all salt treatment, waited two weeks then bought new flea stuff and Wala! Fleas gone in a few days.
Now I only use the salt as maintenance. In the winter when the fleas are gone, I will be giving them small daily doses of the salt, until flea season comes again."
[YEA] 01/28/2011: Noni from Arroyo Grande, Ca, Usa replies: "My 13 year old (47 lb) dog became slowly lethargic and her back paw started dragging on the ground when walking, and her hips and legs became really stiff... I wanted to watch if this was just temporary, but it lasted more than 3 weeks, and when she started yelping when getting up after lying down, I took her to the vet, who told me to put her on arthritis medicine ($$).I decided to investigate a natural cure instead (as I don't even take medicine) and based on this site, I started giving her just a few grains (not even a pinch) of unrefined non-oven dried sea salt in her food 1x daily which helped her greatly! Within a week, she was improving, and soon She was even running at the dog park! It has been about 5 months now, and I only give it to her a few times a week and so far so good. Very effective! We have gone on a few 45 minute hikes, and No more pain the next day like she used to have! I tell so many people
I know about this awesome site! God bless all of you who share freely and unselfishly; your integrity, wonderful cures and helpful testimonies are very much appreciated!"

We dampened a wash cloth, poured some sea salt on it, and he held it on the boil for twenty minutes. It went down in just twenty minutes! We taped a cotton ball soaked in castor oil and dipped in the salt for three nights, and the thing is gone. Thank you so much Carol Ann"

[YEA] 08/18/2009: Ley from Birmingham, Alabama, Usa writes: "Three weeks ago my daughter came to me with what we thought might be insect bites on the upper part of her leg (bottom of her bottom). They hurt. Visually they didn't look like much more than a mosquito bite. Three days later she came to me again. The "bites" had escalated frighteningly!! They had turned black on the inside and were whelped in red. Before we jumped into the car for the hospital (Sunday), I sat her in a soaking tub of Sea Salt - like half the container of it. After 20 minutes there was an incredibly noticable difference!! The red and the whelps had both gone down. I ran to the store and bought 5 containers of sea salt and had her sit in it twice a day. I had to go out of town shortly thereafter for a week. During this time she let the salt soaks lax and was not interested at all in showing her father the problem (LOL), When I got home the lesions were on BOTH of her upper legs!! Back to the store for more salt. I've had her sit in it three times a day. It's been three days and they are almost completely GONE!! It's unbelievable!!"

CONJUNCTIVITIS

[YEA] 09/16/2007: Marie from Baton Rouge, LA writes: "As a child I had a horrible case of conjunctivitis. For over a month, I suffered from home with absolutely no change no matter how much eye drops or medication the doctor's prescribed me. My family finally took our yearly trip to the beach and after a day, my eye infection was completely gone. When we returned and returned to the doctor for a checkup, my pediatrician chuckled and said, oh "You went to the beach, the ocen clears that right up!" My mother could NOT believe it. We surely would have hightailed it to the beach a week into the conjunctivitis had we known! As a result of my month long infection, I had permanent vision damage and had to have membraned PEELED off my eyelids. I am just thankful the beach trip and swimming in the ocean happened when it did, otherwise, I might have had even greater eye damage. I'm lucky I only have to wear glasses/contacts for the rest of my life."

CONSTIPATION

[YEA] 03/11/2008: Erynn from New Haven, Connecticut writes: "Sea Salt cure for Constipation. Works like a charm! Although I've tried this two ways. I've use epsom salt as well...but it is quite gross and you may throw up, so sea salt is much easier on the taste buds. It could take anywhere from 10mins to 2 hours. If its not working, try drinking more water...the salt is dehydrating your system!! This is probably the most comfortable way than taking a laxative. I tend to get cramping from everything else, ie sienna tea. sea salt is the way to go!"
Replies[QUESTION] 01/23/2009: Ammar from Charlottte, NC, USA replies: "How much salt and water do you use?"
[YEA] 06/26/2010: Shadoe from St. Petersburg, Fl replies: "I use 2 tsp of unrefined sea salt mixed with 1 1/2 to 2 quarts warm water. I was told not to "chug" it, but I do just to get it down. The last half glass is very difficult to get down. Within an hour, you are visiting the bathroom multiple times. I use this as a system flush for candida/fungus/bacteria, but it works perfectly for constipation."
07/27/2010: Msg from Somewhere, Europe replies: "Sit down by the sink with a glass and down 3 - 4 glasses of water in a row. Sip slowly."
07/27/2010: Connie from Slc, Ut replies: "Good Afternoon, Lctao4, from Gainsville, Fla. , Your strong negative physical reaction to the sea salt water may indicate that your potassium is low. Sodium and potassium have a "push and pull" relationship in the body's cells. If there is too much of one, movements of fluids and solids can become disrupted from the way of the cellular passage, as to the way of the intestinal passage. Potassium is a very active ingredient in foods recommended for constipation such as : blackstrap molasses, seaweed, honeydew melon, prunes, beet greens, etc. If you need a supplement, potassium bicarbonate or potassium gluconate can be very effective in the right amount for you. Magnesium can also be effective, in the right amount. Magnesium citrate is a good compound. Of course, the consumption of just enough fluids, fiber, probiotics, etc. Are recomended to us and they are helpful. I accidentally constipated myself recently by taking too many acids in my supplements. Ted from Bankok is correct, from my vantage, when he writes that an acidic condition can cause constipation. The causes are many, as are the treatments. ( Potassium Bicarbonate on an empty stomach also aids intestinal malaise and gas. ) Thank You EC, and may we all have gentle passages, Connie"
[SIDE EFFECTS] 07/27/2010: Lctao4 from Gainesville, Fl replies: "So, am I doing something wrong. I tried this and got dizzy and had to lay down for an hours. Felt awful. And now it's the next day and still no BM. I've tried the ACV, baking soda, senna herb, aloe. . . . And still nothing. I'm getting scared. Any help? I haven't tried the magnesium yet though."
01/22/2012: Godshealthlaw from Bourbon, Tx replies: "Some people are so backed up they have to have an enema to clean themselves out. If you are taking this and are still having no BM's an enema is needed. You can do it yourselves with a kit. Also walking and massaging the stomach in a left to right circle could help."
01/22/2012: Debbie from Melbourne, Australia replies: "For severe constipation, the best remedy is epsom salts (magnesium sulphate) because magnesium in high doses is a natural laxative. If you don't get relief from the constipation it merely means that you have not taken enough epsom salts. I would not take sea salt as something to relieve constipation. As I said, if the epsom salts are not working just keep increasing the dosage (in not too large increments) to see the amount needed to induce a bowel movement."
01/23/2012: Karen from Los Angeles, California U.s.a. replies: "What works for me for severe constipation is Castor oil. One tablespoon. But if you try it, take it only on a weekend you have off. Stay home because you don't know when it's going to work.Works on me like drain-O on a drain."

HIMALAYAN SALT

03/17/2011: Healthy248 from Digby, Nova Scotia, Canada writes: "Can you tell me Ted or anyone, the difference in quality, or benifit of sea salt as opposed to Himalayan Salt (Primordial Ocean salts) Is one better than the other! Thank you, Karl"
Replies03/17/2011: Lily from Brisbane, Queensland, Australia replies: "Hi Healthy248, I am sure it would only be a mineral difference, since they are found in two different places they would have a slightly different trace mineral composition. They are both very much better than Table Salt. Cheers Lily."
12/17/2011: Watercure from London, United Kingdom replies: "Hi,I have used both Himalayan Salt and Celtic Sea Salt - they both work just as well. Celtic Sea Salt is a lot more expensive in the UK
There are other Sea Salts available in Supermarkets like Atlantic Sea Salt or Maldons or Costco kirkland Sea Salt etc - has anyone tried these cheaper sea salts for the water cure?
Ted suggested in one of his posts that he uses the local sea salt in Thailand.
thanks"
12/30/2011: Linda from San Francisco, Ca, Usa replies: "Hi Good People, IMHO the best natural, whole sea salt for a person to use may vary, depending upon which trace elements each body is needing the most.Celtic Sea Salt does things for my body which Himalayan Pink does not, although I use both kinds at home in cooking. Himalayan goes in the table salt shaker, and I use Celtic in the cooking.
1 slightly heaped teaspoon of Celtic Sea Salt in 8-10 oz of distilled water works very well for lower back pain for me, so apparently that's the one that has whatever my body is needing.
IMHO the isolated Sodium Chloride (plus aluminum or whatever) in standard table salt is causing us all trouble.
Blessings, Linda"

[QUESTION] 03/04/2010: Raynbogrl from Bend, Oregon, Usa writes: "Hello,
I'm new to this site, I started the fibromyalgia borax treatment and the baking soda/lemon juice for restless leg, Blackstrap molasses for my monthly periods and ACV for everything else, I'm on day four and when I woke up this morning it was the first time in years i was able to just simply get up and get going, I'm not 100% yet but much much better! (Thank you all so much!)
I have a question about Himalayan crystal salt , it sounds very benificial but I havn't been able to find any place that tells if it has Iodine in it.. My Grandmother suffered from a goiter for years before being told to use Iodized salt, after she switched the goiter went away so I would like to keep that in my diet but I dont want to over do it by buying supplements if its already in the Himalayan salt.
if any one knows much about it I would love to know more. It seems most online sites are just fancy ads trying to sell it with out much detail about it. Thanks for your time!"
Replies03/05/2010: Bill from San Fernando, Luzon, Philippines replies: "Hi Raynbogri...Iodine is not generally found in either Himalayan Salt or natural Sea Salt.
Here are the 84 constituents of Himalayan Salt:
hydrogen, lithium, beryllium, boron, carbon, nitrogen, oxygen, fluoride, sodium, magnesium, aluminum, silicon, phosphorus, sulfur, chloride, calcium, scandium, titanium, vanadium, chromium, manganese, iron, cobalt, nickel, copper, zinc, gallium, germanium, arsenic, selenium, bromine, rubidium, strontium, yttrium, zirconium, niobium, molybdenum, ruthenium, rhodium, palladium, silver, cadmium, indium, tin, antimony, tellurium, iodine, cesium, barium, lanthanum, cerium, praseodymium, samarium, europium, gadolinium, terbium, dysprosium, holmium, erbium, thulium, ytterbium, lutetium, hafnium, tantalum, tungsten, rhenium, osmium, iridium, platinum, gold, mercury, thallium, lead, bismuth, polonium, astatine, francium, radium, actinium, thorium, protactinium, uranium, neptunium, and plutonium.
List taken from this site:

I live in the Philippines and use their naturally-made sea salt -- sold in the local markets, which tends to clear up mucous problems well and is a mild antibiotic in itself.
I also take Ted's alakaline remedies, and his Lemon/Lime and baking soda remedy is what cured my candida. I still take it regularly.
Regarding your restless leg syndrome, magnesium supplementation or taking magnesium transdermally would certainly help cure this problem. I used to get sudden leg cramps for no reason while sleeping at night(another sign of magnesium deficiency) and started to take magnesium gluconate, but it wasn't until I started to spray my body with a concentrated solution of Epsom Salts (Magnesium Sulphate) after my shower, using just a simple garden flower srayer, that my cramps rapidly disappeared. I also found that it helped me to sleep much better than before. You can also just take a hot bath and add 3-4 cups of Epsom salts(or Magnesium Chloride crystals) to the bathwater, and just soak in it for 1/2 hour. This is the fastest way to raise your Magnesium levels.
Magnesium is also involved in over 300 enzyme processes in your body and is very beneficial to the bones and heart. Another side-effect of my taking magnesium transdermlly was that my own episodes of sudden racing heart also just disappeared.
I also use iodine foot painting, this seems the easiest way to take iodine -- just paint the soles of your feet and heels everyday with either iodine tincture, lugol's or Betadine and the iodine will be absorbed into your body transdermally. And if you paint your feet everyday over a period of time -- when your nose suddenly becomes runny and liquid -- then you will have enough iodine in your body, so stop the foot painting for a while. You will have to find your own frequency of painting your feet to maintain your own body's iodine level. I now paint the soles and heels of my feet once every 4 or 5 days, which is my frequency. This is also a great way to avoid athlete's foot and verukas..."
03/05/2010: Donna from Boston, Ma, Usa replies: "To Raynbogrl: I have a 2.2lb jar of Himalayan Crystal Salt and checked everywhere on the jar. It does not say anywhere that there is iodine in it. The only ingredient listed is sodium. It also says that it is pure 100% natural. I thought that salt naturally does not have iodine in it. It has to be added. Hope this helps"
04/01/2011: Marissa from San Diego, Ca replies: "Iodine is highly contraindicated in Hashimotos hypothyroid as it can exacerbate the autoimmunity. This is likely what was happening with your grandmother if she found relief once taking the iodized salt out of her diet. Loads of literature out there showing the science stating NO iodine with autoimmune hypothyroid."

I used 1 quart filtered water. I boiled it for 10 minutes with 5 teaspoons of pure unrefined sea salt. An hour or two later I headed to the washroom this flushed me out completely and I highly recommend it for clearer skin, mind, clean bowels and more energy."
Replies[YEA] 09/12/2010: Dot from Sydney, Australia replies: "I have tried the sea salt flush for long-standing constipation and it has always worked as long as I take 2 teaspoons of salt with 4 glasses tepid water. I have tried adding a large glass of probiotic mixture grown overnight from capsules and a little xylitol and filtered water. I take this about 10 minutes after the salt water. It seems to be resetting my bowels so they are working so far, but it has only been a week. I tried it again today. I just figured the probiotic could flush through too and be more thorough if it didn't need to go through the digestive process. I have raynauds and autoimmune Sjogrens, so I would like to clean up the bowel to see if that works."

[YEA] 01/01/2008: Lynn from York, PA writes: "I tried the sea salt flush, 32 ounces warm water, two teaspoons uniodized sea salt (I added a dash of lime juice and baking soda) this morning and it is very effective. It's challenging to drink that much water first thing in the morning on an empty stomach, but it is worth the effort. Will take acidophilus later today with garlic to keep digestive track healthy. Took the day off from work (you probably won't want to go anywhere else, either). Wondering if anyone has tried colon hydrotherapy and the side effects they experienced -- it's pretty expensive and not covered by insurance. Will most likely keep using this remedy as a mini detox about 2-3 times a month on the weekends. Other remedies make work well, but can cause problems when working full time and can't go to the bathroom several times a day."

I didn't measure properly and pretty sure I added too much salt - i felt the need and drank another liter of water soon after. Next time I will get the spoon out - and I WILL use this cleanse again. I can continue with the fast now with a clearer mind (and bowel). Hopefully I'll make it the full 10 days, feel good so far. DO stay close to the bathroom."

So i decided to just do the sea salt. i seen a reduction in my stomach. i like the sea salt because because it works quickly, unlike a laxative. i informed several people about it and they love it. they also quit taking the fiber colon cleansers. Because the sea salt removes good bacteria, it is a good idea to eat yogurt afterwards to replace the good bacteria."

01/15/2007: Ted from Bangkok, Thailand writes: "When the bowels clears itself up, from the sea salt, it actually has the tendency to reduce blood pressure, but only AFTER the bowels are cleared.
You can confirm this observation before and after. Once the sea salt is taken with the baking soda (it helps make it more effective, really), it will flush out the system. Baking soda added to the mix will definitely help from the increased alkalinity.
If you want to know whether your sea salt works or not, a good natural sea salt pH is actually between 7.5 - 8.5. Bad quality sea salt will be below 7, and are of doubtful quality, in my opinion. It is the alkalizing effect of sea salt that helps. Just to be sure, add some baking soda to raise the pH of the sea salt solution. The pH of the resultant solution will often be about 8.0-8.5, which is the standard pH I am looking for. It is better than an edema, which I call it the push method. The sea salt edema is the pull method. Pull method detox better than some water pushing against your bowels and therefore detoxify the body better."

[YEA] 01/11/2007: Krystal from Memphis, TN writes: "I have been going through a healthy lifestyle change for sometimes now. I've eliminated some things from my diet and added healthier things. While on this transition I decided I wanted an, and tried to find a simpler more cost effective way to do it. I came across a website for a salt water flush. I add 2 teaspoons of un-iodized sea salt to 1 quart of warm water (you can add a little lemon juice to mask the taste) and immediately drank the whole quart. Not to much longer after I finished the quart of water, I was headed to the bathroom. It cleansed me out thoroughly. I don't want to get graphic, but it did the job so good, it was scary. So if you need a good cleanse try it. I would like to advise you that If you have high blood pressure and cannot use salt, talk with your doctor before doing it, but It worked GREAT!"

[NAY] Angel from Sinking spring, PA writes: "Hi, I have been suffering from constipation even though I drink over 8 glasses of water and take fiber. I decided to try the sea salt flush I read about. It says 2 teaspoons of sea salt and 1 quart warm water and no sooner then you drink it you will be going. Well nothing happened. I just felt even more bloated. Any cures that work fast? I would like to do a cleanse that works fast. Thank you Angel"

07/02/2008: Tarah from Orem, Utah replies: "When you do not have a bowel movement, this means that you will need to adjust the salt content, less or more. Also if you have chronic constipation you may want to try just drinking as much water as possible, to flush the system. Parasites or Candida could be the cause of constipation, in either case the salt water flush is needed, along with any other process to eliminate."
07/22/2008: Trisha from Berkeley, California replies: "In response to Angel's constipation problem: Try coffee! It may seem obvious, but in case you haven't tried it, a cup of coffee will get you going in no time at all! I drink it black every single morning and I am very regular. It always prompts digestion when I've eaten too much as well, and makes my stomach feel calmed."
02/01/2009: Shaun from Pasadena, Ca replies: "After reading about your problem and the responses. It seems your point of attck may be the problem. If someones blocking the front entrance...you gotta go to the back door! You can either go to the local RXall and purchase a bottle of saline solution with the long nozzle and apply up the rectum, or you can pour out the solution and make your own. A mixture of Garlic, coffee & warm water jet streamed into the rectum will do the trick. If not! you need a colonic for parasite evacuation."

08/13/2009: Susan from Dublin, Ireland replies: "Hi, I have recently tried a sea salt flush. the first time I took it was in the evening, after I had eaten a light supper. I had a bowel movement, but nothing serious. Then I repeated it in the morning on an empty stomach with te same results. Both times I used 1 tablespoon of sea salt and a litre of water.
The next morning upon rising, I mixed two tablespoons of sea salt in warm water and added the juice of half a lemon. App. 60 - 90 minutes later it was working like a charm.
I read that if it doesn't work, you may need to use more sea salt. Make sure you drink plently of plain water as well, to keep yourself hydrated. I was extremely thirsty after drinking 2 tablespoons in the warm water."
09/16/2010: John from Greenport, New York, Usa replies: "If you're still constipated after the sea salt flush, then your diet is too acidic. You need a macrobiotic diet that is free of acidic processed foods. Stay away from sugar and white flour, corn syrups, artificial sweeteners, processed oils, soybean products, synthetic vitamins, and margarine, to name a few of the bad foods. Try to eat organic as much as possible: meat, fish, eggs, butter, dairy, salads, and plenty of raw plant foods (use a blender to make smoothies out of fruits and raw veggies, etc. ), with the missing ingredient: enzymes. Basically, your body is suffering with enzyme and mineral depletion from eating mostly cooked and processed foods. You need mineral and enzyme supplements at each meal, and a lot of omega 3 oils (cod liver oil). Also, a good probiotic is very important as well."
09/16/2010: John from Greenport, New York, Usa replies: "It helps to drink a glass of water mixed with a teaspoon of pure baking soda (sodium bicarbonate) before bed every night. Be sure it's pure baking soda (no aluminum)."

LYME DISEASE

[YEA] 10/22/2009: Matt from Millbrook, Ny writes: "Sea Salt CURED my Lyme Disease in DAYS!
I had suffered for six months with Lyme Disease before I was diagnosed. It was absolutely horrible. I was going completly insane. I was at the point where I just wanted to die. After the blood work showed I was Lyme positive, I went on doxycycline for one month. That did nothing but make me sick to my stomach, and led me to developing a bad case of candidiasis (which was cured by raw garlic and restriction of sugar, another story for another time). Through this site, I found out about the miracle of sea salt. I bought unrefined sea salt from a local health food store, and when I got home, took a teaspoon (about 5 grams) of it with a glass of water. Within a few hours of ingesting the sea salt, I felt better than I had felt in months - it was incredible! The next few days, I took a teaspoon three times a day every day, and I'd say that within three or four DAYS, my now seven month episode of crippling Lyme Disease was GONE. GONE!!! For a few weeks after, I continued to take a teaspoon once a day, just to make sure that it wouldn't come back.
EVERYONE should be made aware that pure, unrefined Sea Salt, CAN cure Lyme Disease very quickly. Many people are infected with Lyme and don't even know it.
There are a few things you should know about using high doses of sea salt....
-Make sure you drink PLENTY of water.
-It WILL cause diarrhea, so I highly suggest using probiotics to replace the flora that are lost.
-Make sure you get enough potassium to balance out the salt (potatoes, orange juice, bananas..)
-Make sure it is unrefined, raw sea salt (healthy for you, as opposed to refined sodium chloride)
-Stay away from MSG! Ted said that when he took sea salt with MSG, his blood pressure went skyrocketing. I had the same result when I took a spoonful of salt before eating a prepared dinner (lots of MSG).
I'm very positive that this is possibly the best treatment for Lyme.
To sum up everything, taking about 15 grams (about 1 tablespoon or 3 teaspoons) of sea salt throughout the day, for several days, cured my Lyme. It should also be noted that a SINGLE dose of salt (about 5 grams) did more for me than an entire month of doxycycline."
Replies02/17/2010: Eegirl from Charlotte, Nc replies: "Thank you for sharing! I have Lyme disease, and I believe very much in the sea salt, but I have NEVER thought about it being helpful against Lyme! I will be trying this remedy right away. Thank you again! Oh, and here is a quick note for those who think salt should be avoided: I have been using sea salt for at least 3 years in all my cooking and my blood pressure is always right around 100/60. I salt everything generously, and the unprocessed sea salt has never affected my blood pressure."
03/31/2011: Derekchaunessey from Los Angeles, California replies: "When you add unrefined sea salt to water, should you be able to taste the salt, and is this similar to a salt water flush? Is diarrhea essential everytime in order for it to work, and if so, should this be done in the morning or at night? In other words, you mentioned needing to get probiotics or fermented foods in order to restore gut flora, but wouldn't this affect our absorption of nutrients in normal food while we're doing this? Will just adding salt to food have the same effect? Would raw grass-fed milk work instead of water?
I may have Lyme disease. I have various symptoms of it, but no flares. Just constant cognitive dysfunction. And nothing's been diagnosed, though Lyme disease is notorious for being undiagnosed."

MULTIPLE CURES

[YEA] 12/10/2009: Eddie from Nyc, Ny writes: "I had to post my results to sea salt in the hopes that it will help others. First, I had planned to cleanse my colon using sea salt, however, I was concerned due to un-medicated high-blood pressure. Thus, I used two-tea spoons the first day in 6 ounces of water. Next day I used a normal spoon size and the third day I used almost two spoon size in the same amount of water. An hour later, i was in the bathroom numerous times and thereafter I was urinating non stop. Also, after inspecting the bowl, I found 5 sandy-crystal like bulbs with green particles floating
in the water. I later realized that legs and hands were not swollen and my blood pressure went radically down. no more pressure. It was amazing. I did more research and spoke to a medical person who said that the sea salt dryed my colon and forced the water in my legs, hand, hearth, and blood to the colon where I eventually let out. Also the green powder glassy was bile and gall stones that the sea salt forced out.
I was not aware of the blotted feeling that I have had for the past year and the blood presssure.
It has been 15 days and I feel great. I am 45 and did not think of the water problem was causing the blood increase due to the extra weight in body. I also reviewed other sites that state liver clense which use salt to flush gall stones.
Thank you EC for your site and all who participate. Please forward any related information to my situation."
Replies12/10/2009: Lisa from Thousand Oaks, Ca, USA replies: "Good for you Eddie! Glad you had such great results. Next step- start eating lots of veggies to keep yourself from returning to that state again. Best in health, Lisa"

PH
10/10/2011: Shaun from Olde York, North Yorkshire writes: "Could Ted, Bill (... Or indeed someone else) please try to explain how refined/ common table salt loses its pH (from 7.5 to 5) when seemingly refined. I am a firm believer in the all-round benefits of pure sea salt, but it seems such a HUGE difference/ loss in pH. Also, who gets the benefit in actually refining table salt? Thanks."

[YEA] 12/14/2009: Rv from Huntington Beach, Ca, USA writes: "Sea Salt for Pneumonia
I have (usually) mild asthma. I visited a dusty wildflower area and contracted fungal pneumonia. The doctor did not apply effective antibiotics, because the infection was fungal, and he initially misdiagnosed it. The infection continued for weeks, and hardened into chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Over the next year I tried many remedies. Then I found an interesting fact. The ocean has millions of antibacterial virions per liter. This is why there are so few bacteria there: predation. I live in an oceanside city, and have no problem getting clean, fresh seawater. I spat some infected sputum into a bottle of seawater and diluted it to invisibility. The idea was that any virus would rapidly multiply by killing and eating the bacteria of my infection. Then over a week, I sprayed the water and inhaled it. My coughing got worse, but then air began to penetrate past the blockages and I began to cough them up; some looked like french fries. I'm now healthy.
I think a similar effort might work with artificial seawater made from organic sea salt. The idea is that it must be organic so that the antibacterial virions would need to be preserved in the salt."

I have worked with Many Natural Health Practitioners who've seen Wonderful results with treating sodium caused conditions like Hyper tension/HB, bloating, etc., with a prescription of 1-2 teaspoons of Natural unrefined sea salt a day. The whole concept is that, the human body must leach needed nutrient stores to compensate for the deficiencies caused by the metabolism of Refined table salt. Thereby causing dis-ease!In my experience, The best, and least Expensive Sea salt is called 'Real Salt' by Redmond. It seems that being indigenous to your native soil is pretty important. A word to the WISE: Don't tell too many people about 'Real Salt', or else that company could get sold out (compromise), filter and process their sea salt just like all the rest (Morton etc) to grab a piece of the "HYPE" God Bless!
