TED'S REMEDIES

08/05/2005: Ted from Bangkok, Thailand writes: "I am surprised you are not aware of the amazing sea salt! In Thailand I use Thai sea salt. So any local sea salt would do. But based on the Thai sea salt I used here, it is a very effective antibiotic!

Sea salt is the world's oldest antibiotic known to man. Somewhere along the way, history books have forgotten this great medicine that bacteria and viruses offered absolutely no resistance to it whatsoever. It is the simplest medicine I have ever known. For those people who want an even more powerful medicine, just add one whole lemon juice to sea salt and its antibiotic and antiviral capabilities is extended many times. For me in practice, just sea salt works wonders. No you don't need Himalyan sea salt, or Dead sea salt, for me local Thai sea salt works amazingly well anyway. Of course, I did not get a chance to try other sea salt, but I am certain thai sea salt works better than any antibiotics I am aware of, well at least for common ailments we experience everyday.

Sea salt does not raise blood pressure that much. What raises your blood pressure is usually the common salt you buy from supermarket. Cooked hot dogs with additives raises your blood pressure. Eating salted potato chips raises your blood pressure. Eating sugar PLUS salt raises your blood pressure. In fact I read a research which tested the effect of blood pressure on just sea salt alone - negligible increases. Apparently sodium gets the blame but in fact other additives were responsible for the sodium retention and absorption. For example, salt and monosodium glutamate taken together, and wow my blood pressure went skyrocketing. Eating french fries especially salted one skyrockets too, apparently it might be the cancer causing acrylamide when vegetable oils is heated at high temperatures and interferes with liver function.

Let me tell you briefly how well sea salt has worked. Benjamin Franklin mentioned in his bibliography that when he has a cold, he went to the sea and drank the water. The water was full of salt, so he was cured the next day. Yes, sea salt has antiviral properties.

Not convincing enough? Well some time ago, I KNOW colloidal silver works against urinary tract infections. Of course they are mild and takes weeks or days to cure using colloidal silver. But wow, last month I HAD a terrible urinary tract infection that lasted weeks. It was done on purpose as I was aware of sea salt effect. So I saved the best for the last and through using the process of elimination after trying antibiotics from A-Z, nothing worked, even the well-known erythromycin, ciproflaxin, and related antibiotics. Then I finally tested 2 teaspoons of sea salt and the pain subsided within minutes. Just one dose, seems to have a long term killing effect and it was completely gone without even the slightest pain within 7 days. Coincidence? My sister on 4 August 2005 had a stomach disorder AND urinary tract infection and she was on her second day. Again we tried all the usual antibiotics, and even some thai herbal medicine nothing worked. So I told my sister, if you want to go to work today you take sea salt or you do what mother tells you and go to the hospital, it is getting serious. So she decided to take 2 teaspoon of sea salt. Within 30 minutes the pain subsided greatly. Within 1.5 hours, my sister went to work.

Now colloidal silver has a competitor that works better: sea salt. In practice, synergism is the day. Mixing sea salt and colloidal silver works better too. Many people with lyme disease, lupus, stomach disorders, fibromyalgia, ec. told me their conditions were relieved just by taking sea salt. Of course there are variations, that worked better, such as sea salt + a couple of drops hydrogen peroxide, sea salt + vitamin C and lemon, sea salt plus apple cider vinegar, etc.

I am getting rave reviews and these variations works. Writing this single issue on sea salt could take me days, but the gist of the information, this is enough for you to begin trying them."

01/08/2009: Anonymous from NY, NY replies: "Ted, does this have to be unrefined sea salt or can it be sea salt? My health food store sells both, I guess the unrefined is handpicked and dried in piles in the dun, the regular sea salt is boiled. There is a significant cost difference, so does it matter? I get the impression any sea salt will do? Thanx!"

ACID REFLUX

1 YEA

[YEA]  10/20/2007: Greg from Franklin, MA writes: "I suffered everyday with acid creeping up and severely hindering my ability to enjoy things in life. I noticed two huge agitators: 1. Over-eating (easy to do for anyone in U.S.) 2. Chocolate (tends to be a great laxative, but also tends to promote the acid problem. Continually the damage done by Acid Reflux caused burning and I found that taking in a good amount of sea salt (with water, foods) cleared it up."

ARTHRITIS IN DOGS

2 YEA

[YEA]  04/24/2007: Bob (watercure2@comcast.net) from Moscow , PA writes: "If you check our pet testimonials On our watercure2.org site and read the home page story of how this was discovered, you will see that curing pet arthritis is not even a challenge. Just add unprocessed sea salt to its food and water and within 24 hours a pet will stand up and walk with a limp even though previously it had been unable to stand. Best of all it is free. Bob Butts

http://watercure2.org/livingston_newsletter.htm"

[YEA]  11/27/2008: Dyz from East Bay, Cali replies: "watercure2.org site is right about the salts and curing pet arthritis.

I used Salts to help my GSD dog with her hips. I used Himalayan salt, which I turned into "sole". 1 teaspoon a day right into the food. My GSD dogs LOVE it!!! Within days she was up and running, chasing the ball. No more whining when she gets up or down. The only issue I had with using the salt was the detoxification effect. I paid 50.00$ for flea repellent (NO CHOICE BUT TO USE IT, I have tried EVERYTHING natural to keep the fleas away) To my surprise everyday when I combed the dogs the fleas were still there in large amounts. After a few weeks, I thought OH, I bet the salt is detoxifying the flea chemical out their bodies. I stopped all salt treatment, waited two weeks then bought new flea stuff and Wala! Fleas gone in a few days.

Now I only use the salt as maintenance. In the winter when the fleas are gone, I will be giving them small daily doses of the salt, until flea season comes again."

BOILS

1 YEA

[YEA]  01/11/2007: Carol from Dora, MS writes: "Husband got what looked like a pimple on his neck. By the next night it had gotten worrisome big. Went to your web site and found the sea salt cure. We dampened a wash cloth, poured some sea salt on it, and he held it on the boil for twenty minutes. It went down in just twenty minutes! We taped a cotton ball soaked in castor oil and dipped in the salt for three nights, and the thing is gone. Thank you so much Carol Ann"

CONJUNCTIVITIS

1 YEA

[YEA]  09/16/2007: Marie from Baton Rouge, LA writes: "As a child I had a horrible case of conjunctivitis. For over a month, I suffered from home with absolutely no change no matter how much eye drops or medication the doctor's prescribed me. My family finally took our yearly trip to the beach and after a day, my eye infection was completely gone. When we returned and returned to the doctor for a checkup, my pediatrician chuckled and said, oh "You went to the beach, the ocen clears that right up!" My mother could NOT believe it. We surely would have hightailed it to the beach a week into the conjunctivitis had we known! As a result of my month long infection, I had permanent vision damage and had to have membraned PEELED off my eyelids. I am just thankful the beach trip and swimming in the ocean happened when it did, otherwise, I might have had even greater eye damage. I'm lucky I only have to wear glasses/contacts for the rest of my life."

CONSTIPATION

1 QUESTION

[YEA]  03/11/2008: Erynn from New Haven, Connecticut writes: "Sea Salt cure for Constipation. Works like a charm! Although I've tried this two ways. I've use epsom salt as well...but it is quite gross and you may throw up, so sea salt is much easier on the taste buds. It could take anywhere from 10mins to 2 hours. If its not working, try drinking more water...the salt is dehydrating your system!! This is probably the most comfortable way than taking a laxative. I tend to get cramping from everything else, ie sienna tea. sea salt is the way to go!"

[QUESTION]  01/23/2009: Ammar from Charlottte, NC, USA replies: "How much salt and water do you use?"

INTESTINAL CLEANSING

1 NAY

[YEA]  01/01/2008: Lynn from York, PA writes: "I tried the sea salt flush, 32 ounces warm water, two teaspoons uniodized sea salt (I added a dash of lime juice and baking soda) this morning and it is very effective. It's challenging to drink that much water first thing in the morning on an empty stomach, but it is worth the effort. Will take acidophilus later today with garlic to keep digestive track healthy. Took the day off from work (you probably won't want to go anywhere else, either). Wondering if anyone has tried colon hydrotherapy and the side effects they experienced -- it's pretty expensive and not covered by insurance. Will most likely keep using this remedy as a mini detox about 2-3 times a month on the weekends. Other remedies make work well, but can cause problems when working full time and can't go to the bathroom several times a day."

[YEA]  09/19/2007: Wayne from Longmont, Colorado writes: "Resounding YA, Finishing my 4th day of a water fast and became a little worried not having a single BM since the fast began. Cruising the web and came across Sea Salt as a laxative and descided to give it a try. I can tell you it worked for me ! It took about an hour as predicted - awesome! I didn't measure properly and pretty sure I added too much salt - i felt the need and drank another liter of water soon after. Next time I will get the spoon out - and I WILL use this cleanse again. I can continue with the fast now with a clearer mind (and bowel). Hopefully I'll make it the full 10 days, feel good so far. DO stay close to the bathroom."

[YEA]  03/24/2007: Jaja (jajaj123@aol.com) from Dayton, Ohio writes: "i discovered sea salt while trying to do the master cleanse. i could only do the cleanse for 2 days because of bad headache. So i decided to just do the sea salt. i seen a reduction in my stomach. i like the sea salt because because it works quickly, unlike a laxative. i informed several people about it and they love it. they also quit taking the fiber colon cleansers. Because the sea salt removes good bacteria, it is a good idea to eat yogurt afterwards to replace the good bacteria."

01/15/2007: Ted from Bangkok, Thailand writes: "When the bowels clears itself up, from the sea salt, it actually has the tendency to reduce blood pressure, but only AFTER the bowels are cleared.

You can confirm this observation before and after. Once the sea salt is taken with the baking soda (it helps make it more effective, really), it will flush out the system. Baking soda added to the mix will definitely help from the increased alkalinity.

If you want to know whether your sea salt works or not, a good natural sea salt pH is actually between 7.5 - 8.5. Bad quality sea salt will be below 7, and are of doubtful quality, in my opinion. It is the alkalizing effect of sea salt that helps. Just to be sure, add some baking soda to raise the pH of the sea salt solution. The pH of the resultant solution will often be about 8.0-8.5, which is the standard pH I am looking for. It is better than an edema, which I call it the push method. The sea salt edema is the pull method. Pull method detox better than some water pushing against your bowels and therefore detoxify the body better."

[YEA]  01/11/2007: Krystal from Memphis, TN writes: "I have been going through a healthy lifestyle change for sometimes now. I've eliminated some things from my diet and added healthier things. While on this transition I decided I wanted an, and tried to find a simpler more cost effective way to do it. I came across a website for a salt water flush. I add 2 teaspoons of un-iodized sea salt to 1 quart of warm water (you can add a little lemon juice to mask the taste) and immediately drank the whole quart. Not to much longer after I finished the quart of water, I was headed to the bathroom. It cleansed me out thoroughly. I don't want to get graphic, but it did the job so good, it was scary. So if you need a good cleanse try it. I would like to advise you that If you have high blood pressure and cannot use salt, talk with your doctor before doing it, but It worked GREAT!"

[NAY]  Angel (sunkissedheart@yahoo.com) from Sinking spring, PA writes: "Hi, I have been suffering from constipation even though I drink over 8 glasses of water and take fiber. I decided to try the sea salt flush I read about. It says 2 teaspoons of sea salt and 1 quart warm water and no sooner then you drink it you will be going. Well nothing happened. I just felt even more bloated. Any cures that work fast? I would like to do a cleanse that works fast. Thank you Angel"

07/02/2008: Nadine from QC, Illinois replies: "try baking soda and vinegar, I took this and for some reason it runs right through me cleaning as it goes, try 2-3tbl spoons vinegar, to 1 tablespoon baking soda in half cup water."

07/02/2008: Lewis (designline@columbus.rr.com) from Circleville, Ohio replies: "Use 2 tsp. of epsom salt for fast.....but only for emergancies. Only do it about twice a month."

07/02/2008: Tarah from Orem, Utah replies: "When you do not have a bowel movement, this means that you will need to adjust the salt content, less or more. Also if you have chronic constipation you may want to try just drinking as much water as possible, to flush the system. Parasites or Candida could be the cause of constipation, in either case the salt water flush is needed, along with any other process to eliminate."

07/22/2008: Trisha from Berkeley, California replies: "In response to Angel's constipation problem: Try coffee! It may seem obvious, but in case you haven't tried it, a cup of coffee will get you going in no time at all! I drink it black every single morning and I am very regular. It always prompts digestion when I've eaten too much as well, and makes my stomach feel calmed."

02/01/2009: Shaun from Pasadena, Ca replies: "After reading about your problem and the responses. It seems your point of attck may be the problem. If someones blocking the front entrance...you gotta go to the back door! You can either go to the local RXall and purchase a bottle of saline solution with the long nozzle and apply up the rectum, or you can pour out the solution and make your own. A mixture of Garlic, coffee & warm water jet streamed into the rectum will do the trick. If not! you need a colonic for parasite evacuation."

[QUESTION]  03/26/2009: David Aames from New York, New York writes: "I would like to know if you can take SEA SALT daliy. Say if I wanted to put some in my water throughout the day. I eat healthy and dont use table salt. Any salt/sodium I get is whatever is in the food I am eating.

But after reading how good this Sea Salt is for you I would like to know how much Sea Salt I can use daily if I am drinking say about 72 ounces of water daily.

I was thinking maybe 1/8 or 1/4 of a teaspoon in about 12oz of water a couple of times a day???

Thanks"

03/26/2009: Dianna from Austin, Tx replies: "i do this sometimes. i just put a pinch of sea salt into my drinking water. the reason i started doing this was a few times when i got blood work done - the doctor asked me: don't you eat any salt? he said i was sodium deficient! i have never heard of that - but i realized that i really don't hardly ever eat fast food and i don't use much salt in my cooking - so i try to get my sodium this way. if anyone knows why this shouldn't be done... please write! thanks"

03/26/2009: C.S.M from VERO BEACH, FL replies: "There are new findings just reported about the benefits of low sodium intake. Here are 2 short articles that may clarify it.

I never add sodium to our foods--we too avoid processed foods and eat primarily a fresh vegetarian diet.

http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/sodium/NU00284

http://www.examiner.com/x-672-Disease-Prevention-Examiner~y2009m3d23-New-salt-intake-recommendation-has-same-health-benefit-as-smoking-cessation

Slightly low sodium levels in the blood are usually related to fluid and water imbalance. If you are fairly healthy, avoiding salt shouldn't be unsafe for you unless you are exercising heavily in hot weather.

(I also see this, clinically, in older people.)
http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/low-blood-sodium/AN00621

You can probably get the trace 'sea salt amounts' of magnesium, calcium, etc from the vegetables you are eating

More of a concern is iodine deficiency:
http://junkfoodscience.blogspot.com/2006/12/salts-pedigree.html

We use a "sprinkle on" kelp supplement to add the iodine that we miss by not using table salt.

Best Wishes to You!"

03/27/2009: Rosy from Orlando, Fl replies: "I would suggest taking a non-refined sea salt. I like gray Celtic sea salt, and pink Himalayan salts. They have other minerals and are not just sodium chloride. Watch out for refined salts as they do raise sodium levels, but natural raw salts help balance sodium in the body."

[YEA]  01/24/2009: Barbara from Napanee, Ontario, Canada writes: "Lately, having seen microscopic pictures of table salt, sea salt, and himalayan sea salt, I've opted for himalayan sea salt's live crystals, called sole (so-lay) when dissolved in spring water. I'm impressed with my increased vitality since I've been bathing in it (see www.profoundliving.org for benefits including magnesium chloride absorption). I bet it has great antibiotic properties.

Being a yoga teacher I am also advising of the benefits of neti, using himalayan sole, in which you inhale it through one nostril and exhale it through the other. I do notice increased benefit over regular sea salt, again increased vitality and calmness, a sense of well-being. I guess that steam inhalation would have even more benefits for bronchitis or asthma. Another benefit I enjoy is less stress from time spent on the computer when I burn a beeswax candle in a himalayan sea salt container, supposedly removing negative ions and electro-magnetic damage. I plan on buying a few lamps in different colors for their color therapy."

11/03/2008: Ron from Modesto, California writes: "This is a follow-up to my earlier post. After posting my comments I decided to modify my regimen for arthritis and chronic constipation to the following: Still one teaspoon Celtic Grey Organic Sea Salt on an empty stomach each morning in a 16 oz bottle spring water, followed by a 10oz cup of spring water, with the juice of one fresh squeezed lemon, I teaspoon ACV, 1/8th Teaspoon Organic Cayenne, and an optional teaspoon of either Organic Agave, or Organic Grade B Maple Syrup for taste. I just tried a cup using the Organic Blue Agave I purchased at Trader Joe's, and the taste was quite good. It's best to avoid fluoridated water it you can, that's why I use the bottled Spring Water. I will probably add a second cup of the tea a bedtime. Will post again after a few months to advise how well it worked."

[YEA]  08/18/2008: Cindy from Wichita, Kansas writes: "Water cannot do its thing without salt. Salt is number 3 on the list of things you can't live without. 1 and 2 are air and water. I suspect that if you do not take salt (preferably unprocessed sea salt) the body will break down the calcium in the bones to get at the salts they contain. I've done a lot of research on dehydration but have not seen this correlation anywhere. It is merely my suspicion due to the relationship between chronic dehydration combined with low salt intake teachings and the epidemic of osteoporosis. It is suspected that over 75% of people in the US are chronically dehydrated which means that 75% of the human bodies in the US are operating in emergency, water rationing mode. Sipping doesn't count and neither do other liquids. The body does not process other liquids the same way it processes plain water on an empty stomach. Water is used by every system in the body. Including the process it must go through to steal water from the colon. My personal rule of thumb is that any liquid that is not plain water belongs to the colon."

[YEA]  08/23/2008: CB from California replies: "Hi, Cindy. Thank you very much for this information. Can you please tell me how much sea salt you add to your water and how many times you would drink this each day? Thank you in advance.

CB"

[YEA]  08/24/2008: Teresa from Kenedy, Texas replies: "The Water Cure Recipe:

Drink 1/2 your body weight of water in ounces, daily. Example 180 lb = 90 oz. of water daily. Divide that into 8 or 10 oz. glasses and that's how many glasses you will need to drink, daily. Use 1/4 tsp. of salt for every quart of water you drink. Use salt liberally with food. As long as you drink the water, you can use the salt. Avoid caffeinated or alcoholic drinks. These are diuretics and will dehydrate you. Every 6 oz. of caffeine or alcohol requires an additional 10 to 12 oz. of water to re-hydrate you."

I am home today from work with a bad head cold, I found this website and desperate to feel better I drank two Tablespoons instead of two Teaspoons of sea salt. I mixed it in about 6 0z. of water so I could jug it quickly. Immediately I started to feel sick to my stomach so I laid down. I vomited and as the salt hit my intestines I got diarrhea that cleaned me out completely. I then fell asleep for two hours. I just got out of bed and am recovering from the overdose, however my nose did clear up. I still feel like I have a head cold and I am extremely thirsty with a headache. I think I'll go to plan B, just tough it out. I guess the moral is to read instructions carefully... especially when you are sick."
