[NAY] Christel writes: "I tried using hydrogen peroxide in my ear last night to ward off the beginnings of a cold. It worked fabulously in my left ear; bubbled and fizzed, then drained out smoothly. Really quite pleasant. So I went on to my right ear. It will not drain out! My sinus issues are much improved, and I slept fine, but this morning my right ear is still clogged and beginning to ache. I tried the hydrogen peroxide again, hoping it would sort out whatever had gone wrong. But no luck. If it had worked the same in both ears I would be quite pleased with the home-cure, but as it's left me with a whole new pain to deal with ... I don't think I'll try it again."

Ted from Thailand writes: "I have never ever recommended the use of Hydrogen peroxide in the ears. Yes H2O2 works very well, but not by the ear. It works best when taken internally. Especially when you also add a small amount of vinegar. (It becomes peracetic acid, which is great medicine against SARS - sars don't like acid). For me the most efficient way to get H2O2 into my system without doing dubious things such as IV is to slosh or spray 3% H2O2 on my arms, legs, feet, hands, neck, chest and back. It is much more efficient than putting them in your ears. Of course if you want to get rid of ear wax using H2O2 this is o.k. but not as a cold prevention. A cold prevention or viral outbreak would have been much more effective to use it via mouth wash and putting on skin. Simple reason: your body's skin have the largest areas for H2O2 absorption. H2O2 gets absorbed through the skin quite more efficiently than the intestinal tract, but intestinal tract is also important to take some H2O2 to clear up the pathogens. By the way, viruses also get absorbed through the skin this way to by actions of Langerhan's cells, which unfortunately goes directly to the lymph system and destroys your immune system just the same. To prevent tricky viruses, use H2O2 frequently on the skin. It prevents such from destroying your most prized possession of your body necessary to maintain health your immune system. My favorite way to rid of pathogens, at least no. 1 is to slosh my mouth (after brushing teeth WITHOUT fluoride) using 3% H2O2. I now do this every day. Foams just come shooting out, just to show you how much bacteria I have. I will not recommend anyone doing 3% just start with 0.5-1% H2O2 and once you get use to it you can work yourself up as best as you see fit. A majority of people are much more sensitive than me therefore please lean on the safe side. I am not totally successful in killing of pathogens with a clear rate of success, but H2O2 is the best I have seen so far."
05/12/2008: Dr. C. Miller from Minneapolis, Minnesota replies: "Please do A VERY THOROUGH research for the truth - before posting any untruth, half truth or unguided opinion to influence others either knowingly or un-knowingly. Lets clarify one point here - The body does hydrate, dehydrate and detox thru its largest organ the skin with a tremendous surface area. That does not make the ears any less important to treat with hydrogen peroxide. There is overwhelming evidence that colds, flu & virus do enter the body thru the ears. Some postings are from individuals who are either new to this or are convinced there personal experience or opinion is correct although contrary to most and that is ok. Caution is needed as some who visit this site and read what is posted are willing to try everything and some others are afraid to try anything - and to you I say please do your research as if you were going to treat your own beautiful newborn baby before you type as though your words wont matter to anyone. Please study all of the information for yourself first - you must make educated decisions and it is imperative that you educate yourself first before taking foolhardy advice posted on the web from around the world. This is a great site with great information readily available and with personal experiences too and those are powerful but when hundreds are saying that the ears are the best way to kill a cold and many have this wonderful result, but two of you have a contrary opinion one because he really felt the pain of the infection he had and the other just thinks the skin is a larger surface area but is also afraid of the iv treatment - we dont need to hear it.... We need facts...what was the problem/symptom, what did you do, what was the dose, what was the before and after. THIS WAS NOT STATED TO MAKE ANYONE FEEL BAD OR ACCUSE ANYONE. THERE ARE DANGERS WITH EVERYTHING AND UNLESS YOU ARE UNDER THE CARE OF A DOCTOR WHO PRACTICES IN THIS AREA YOU CANNOT BE TOO CAREFUL - IT WILL BE VERY DIFFICULT TO REGAIN A MEASURE OF HEALTH ONCE YOU DESTROY IT.

06/25/2008: William from Fresno, CA replies: "There is a lot of talk here about virus' performing all sorts of acrobats and warfare against humans by mysteriously entering the body from thin air. Lets first get it straight that viruses are genomes, genomes are dead cell matter produced by dying cells. If you want to know what dead cells up to these days, just visit your local cemetary. They don't enter thru your ears or skin. They're DEAD, incapable of launching any tactic, incapable of conceiving the things they are 'reproted' to do. They are the 21st century "demons to be cast out". Get real people, the virus's start inside you and what you really have is too much death when you are sick, H2O2 assists and fortifies your body's natural ability to rid itself of the death (aka virus). WE NEED OXYGEN TO CARRY AWAY THE DEAD CELLS TO THE APPROPRIATE RELIEF PASSAGES TO DETOXIFY WITH MINIMAL TO NO ADVERSE REACTION TO THE PROCESS. Another helpful healer is to stop or reduce the amount of poison you are subjecting yourself to."

1 BETTER BUT WITH SIDE EFFECTS
10/16/2009: Tim from Berkeley, Ca writes: "Hydrogen Peroxide for dental care
I have been using hydrogen peroxide as a mouthwash after I brush and floss my teeth for the past 8 years. I just use the 3% solution that you can buy at any pharmacy. I take a swig of hydrogen peroxide straight from the bottle and keep it in my mouth for about 30-60 seconds before spitting it out. It bubbles up and sometimes tingles. If you are not used to it, it will feel weird but it won't hurt unless you have an exposed nerve. Make sure not to swallow it. I don't think that it will cause any huge problems but it will probably give you a stomach ache. This use of hydrogen peroxide is great because it not only kills bacteria and keeps by breath fresh but also makes my teeth sparkling white. One time my dentist commented on how white my teeth are and I told him about the hydrogen peroxide and he jokingly told me not to tell anyone about it or he would lose business. "
10/20/2009: Javier from Lebanon, Pa replies: "I have read a lot of things about what the HP can do. It is fascinating. The last sentence you wrote is exactly what I have always believed in. The doctors and the goverment today DON'T want you to get better, as much as they claim they "care" about your health. If you get 100% healthy, we don't need the dr's, right? They rather tell you that you can't do that, or that there is no such cure for a disease. Question:Why? Answer: because they want your money and for you to "believe they are the only ones that can help you". If peolpe around the world knew the truth, they would think different about doctors nowadays. Doctors today are just a scam to rip you off your hard earned money. I would challenge anyone that takes prescription pills to go to their dr and tell him/her that you dont want those pills anymore and that you want a "natural remedy". They would come up with 20 million excuses why no such thing exists. And if they by any chance "give" them somthing natural, that dr will lose their license, their practice, and their job because the government WILL shut him/her down because the government looses profits if a person gets "cured". Its a shame very little people realize this."
10/21/2009: Janice from Coloma, Mi replies: "In defense of Drs. I do think that most of them really do care, it's just that they have been brain-washed in school. Then to top that off, they are too busy to study natural medicine even if they wanted to and because they have no time, they believe what the drug reps tell them. I worked for a Dr. and she was very kind and cared what happened with her patients. She was open to some health things but honestly, she just didn't have time. I don't think they would put all those years into schooling if they didn't have a calling. Again, not all but I think the majority do care."
[BETTER BUT WITH SIDE EFFECTS] 10/25/2009: Dianna from Citrus Heights, Ca replies: "To Tim from Berkeley, I recently used HP because of a tooth abscess. I swished about 1-1/2 tsp undiluted over the counter HP a couple of times. I must say it did help with the abscess tooth pain. Unfortunately, several days later, I noticed an extreme sensitivity of my teeth to hot and cold. I can only assume it was from the HP. Has anyone else had this experience? I haven't found anything thus far on the website that indicates that HP can harm your teeth in this way. I'm puzzled! I am still having trouble with that particular tooth abscess but am now reluctant to swish any more HP until I can find out what I've done wrong. I did not mix it with water and maybe that was the problem? Anyone with some feedback would be very welcome to respond!"
10/27/2009: Betty from Spearsville, La. replies: "Dear Dianna,I have used 1% hp to rinse my mouth and teeth. Yes, it did start to whiten my teeth a little but I noticed that it left a film on my teeth, just like the film I experience when I drink lemon juice which of course is very acidic. I stopped rinsing with it and my teeth feel clean once again, even though I do still gargle with it. I became concerned when a post I read said that hp can be very harmful to your teeth.

[QUESTION] 08/13/2010: Lisaj from Stamford, Ct, Usa writes: "I've been reading the posts and Bill Munroe's accounts with H202. I went to the drugstore - on the bottle it said 3% stabalized and if swallow contact your local poison control. It says for external use only. I know alot of readers and Bill has been using this for inhaling but it kind of scared me off. I think I would rather try the 35% food grade and dilute it. The closest health food store doesn't carry it. I'm wondering if Whole Foods might. What do you all think? That 3% would have been ok or does anyone know off hand if Whole Foods carries it. This site is fantastic. I'd like to thank everyone who posts for their helpful comments. Thanks, Lisa"
08/14/2010: Bessie from Calgary, Alberta, Canada replies: "Hi Lisa - Try asking your health food store to order 35% food-grade hydrogen peroxide for you. Some customer-oriented stores are more than willing to do that because people use it for sprouting, as well as for other purposes. Also, stores usually do not keep 35% food-grade HP on the shelves due to safety regulations (you don't want kids opening up a bottle and spilling it on themselves) so they keep it in the storeroom. You just have to ask them to retrieve it for you. The one I go to in Calgary keeps it in the back room. Good luck!"
08/16/2010: Ahlia86 from Rotorua, Bay Of Plenty, New Zealand replies: "Lisa - 35% food grade must be diluted to 3% with water. Check out Teds Earth Clinic articles on Hydrogen Peroxide

[QUESTION] 02/19/2010: Nancy from Surprise, Az writes: "What is meant by stabilizers and contaminates in the drugstore type of Hydrogen Peroxide, and what harm can it cause if it's ingested? I've read on this site that there are people who are using the drugstore variety and no mention of any health issues with this type of peroxide.
I'm interested in trying peroxide therapy but not sure which to use. I'm a little fearful of the food grade type because of it's potency and I found a site where you can purchase it, but they have to send it haz mat. The drugstore type sounds easier and you can buy it directly from the store, but the stabilizers and contaminates have me concerned.
If you add the store peroxide to a glass of water, can the water be from the tap, or should it be distilled and how much peroxide to how much water? Please help with questions. Thank you."
02/24/2010: Thankgod4hp from Miami, Florida replies: "Hi Nancy, you can look on the back of the label for the 3% hydrogen peroxide and it will state, "Active ingredient"......."hydrogen peroxide 3%". If it says (stabilized) then it has stabilizers, if not then its ok."
02/26/2010: Nancy from Surprise, Az replies: "Thank you for your response. Also, can you tell me what harmful effects these stabilizers have and what they will do to you if ingested or inhaled? Thanks again."

I have been in the heating and air business for 30 years and have suffered from chronic sinus and ear infections due to the dust and molds that I encounter at work. I have had two sinus surgeries over the years that have done nothing to help me. The doctors give antibiotics that never seem to clear the infections all the way and the infections always return. I am happy to say that my ears and sinuses are responding to this treatment. I really don't know what "normal" sinuses feel like. Can't believe that this has been here all along and I have suffered all these years due to the medical communities bias. Thanks for this forum. Ken from Atlanta"

[YEA] 12/20/2008: Max from San Jose, Costa Rica writes: "I have faced chronic allergic rinitis since more than 50 years now. Nothing worked (including 3 operations and plenty money wasted on all kind of especialized doctors, until I gave up and learned to live with the problem. In yr site I found out abt H2O2. Curious enough decided to try my own drugstore formula reduced at 1% (2:1) in clear water. I started spraying twice every nostril, four times a day. At day #5 I started to show a mix o blood and yellowish mucus from my nose at morning time only (once). Quite an amount every day I must add. I was at first scared, yet decided to continue. It was the same cleaning routine (expelling out)for 7 days straight, then my nose came up with clean, clear mucus. No more yellowish or bloody outputs. I infer I have cleaned my sinuses completely from a fungus or bacteria that have been infecting me for decades. I have kept doing the spraying, but in leeseer frequency. I do carry my sprayer with me all day now and I think I will not stop from using it from here on. I believe it will keep me from getting sick again, no more flu, virus, rinitis, etc. I wake up now breathing freely, something I never thought possible. My snoring have been reduced or eliminated, and the only mucus I have know is clear like water. Still must keep cleaning my nostrils several times a day, but not as before and its clear. I thing if doctors are keeping this simple solution from us, they are all crooks. And I know how much money I have expent on all kind of expensive treatments, Xrays, poisons, etc. If I am doing something that may harm me, please let me know, but so far so good. I will keep going.

[WARNING!] 09/17/2009: Max from San Jose, Costa Rica replies: "On August last year 08/2008, I comment on how I used H2O2 to treat my synus problem. I would like to add a WARNING: applying the nostril spray continuously came eventually (after many weeks) to be very irritant and my mocus fluids increased, yet still clear. So I have discontinued the nasal spray that way. At least the spray got rid of my sinus infection at the beggining of the treatment, I am sure. Therefore I will recommend the nasal spray as I did only to clean yr sinus, one time, using the spray mix for only 2 to 4 weeks and stop. Now, I am taking several drops of Food Grade peroxide in fresh coconut water (abt 8 oz in a nut) daily instead, as a preventive way to help my inmune system against any potential illness. You never know!Rgs, Max"

[YEA] 04/18/2008: Sarah from Battle Creek, Michigan writes: "My 14 month old son has constantly been sick and had ear infections. We have keep going to the doctor and they just kept putting him on antibiotics. It turns out that the infection never healed causing the area behind his ear to become swollen. We went to the emergency room and they just gave him another round of antibiotics. Three days later went went back into his ped and they put him on steriods for the swelling because they said it was lymph nodes. Two weeks later his ear was still swollen, red and very tender to the touch. The poor baby was just miserable so we made another appointment to go back to the ped. Since we use H2O2 for cleaning out infections and getting rid of ear wax, I put some in his ear that night, let it sit for 5 minutes and then drained it. The next morning the swelling was down by half but it was still noticably swollen. We had is ped appointment that day so we went and they referred us to a ENT and hearing Specialist. As soon as that doctor walked in the room he said he was going to have to schedule my son for surgery to put tubes in his ear. what he has is mastoiditis, an infection of the bone behind the ear. After talking for a while I told the doctor that the ear was actually getting better (I left out the H2O2 part). He gave me the option to do another round of antibiotics and see what happens but if it got worse then I had to bring him in for surgery. Of course, I opted for the antibiotics. I did a total of 5 treatments of H2O2 in his ear. I did it right before bed and when he woke up in the morning after doing a treatment his ear was less and less tender and swollen. This morning when he woke up his ear was completely back to normal. I can't believe it! My baby is happy and doesn't need tubes put into his ears anymore. Thank you God for giving us H2O2."

[YEA] 09/21/2006: Daniel from Spokane, WA writes: "First, thank you for the great website--I've been searching for this type of confirmation for several days now. My story is that I use earplugs when I sleep, as I awake easily. About a week ago, I had taken a shower right before bed and dried ears with a towel (no q-tip). The earplug didn't seem to go in as usual (perhaps the wrong angle). The day after, about mid-day, I noticed that my ear was hurting. Two days later I was in a full-blown ear infection. I stopped working a few months ago to do some studies, as such, no money to go to the doctor. I prayed and the Lord said to read a book about hydrogen peroxide that was sitting on my shelf and decided that it wouldn't hurt. So, I put one cap of H2O2 into my ear and let it sit for about 5 minutes. I couldn't hear anything happening, at first. Then the bubbling started. Rather cool. I kept doing this every two to three hours. By the end of the night, the pain (so strong that I really couldn't touch the ear without feeling like I was going to throw up) was 90% gone. After two treatments the following day, there is no longer ANY pain whatsoever. Praise the Lord! Now, I must say that I don't know for certain if my immune system had typed the virus/bacteria by this point, as I had been sick for a few days by the time I started... Regardless, the pain appeared to decrease with each treatment--I thought I was imagining it until the 4th treatment--I then KNEW that there was a difference. By the way, I should mention that I also dried my ear out with q-tips, and then used a warm blow dryer for about 10 minutes after each treatment. Perhaps I had come down with swimmer's ear from using the earplugs on wet ears--drying is important. Anyway, thank God for hydrogen peroxide and a cured ear infection. I am now using 3% in a humidifier, breathing it in for multiple 5 minute sessions throughout the day, and have seen a big difference in my energy levels--very cool. I might add that I have to inhale with my eyes closed...else the stuff irritates my eyes. Pretty cool stuff! :o) :o) :o)"
04/24/2009: Joann from Hartford, AL replies: "Swimmers ear can be avoided by putting alcohol in each ear after being in the water. I have to do that after a shower. The hair dryer might harm the ear drum by making them to dry. Alcohol will cause the water to evaporate with it."

[WARNING!] 05/12/2009: Allison from Houston, Texas writes: "When I came upon your section of hydrogen peroxide, I find the information very interesting and plan on trying out the oral and nasal inhaling method of HP. But Please caution your readers on the possible danger of using hydrogen peroxide in ENEMAS as suggested by someone on the section of different uses of hydrogen peroxide. Our colons are full of different kinds of bacterias. Wouldn't the oxygenating or bubbling effect be SO TREMENDOUS once the enema is administered that one could get an exploding intestine from the amount of gases created upon contact of HP with all the bacterias?"
05/14/2009: DJ from Pdx, Or replies: "Allison,
From personal experience and questions after I would highly recommend extreme caution if you do a nasal rinse of H202. It burns and irritates the lining in the nose and sinuses. I did it for 3 days in a row (a 50/50 mix w/ water) and ended up with a sinus infection that took me a week to get cleared up.
I found that sea salt in warm waters works really well. (cleared up the sinus infection). I used colloidal silver to fight the infection also. Alternating between the two.
Good luck"

I was wondering if I should dilute it more or maybe Just try the drops instead because that's much less potent, but I'm also afraid to take it internally. Do any of you have a suggestion. I would much appriciate your feedback. I suffer from candida and would really like to put an end to it. Thanks!"
05/08/2009: Alain from Ottawa, Canada replies: "You can dilute it to 1.5% solution for mouthwash (preferably with distilled water) and you could also add to it some baking soda. Search EC. There is so many ways to use h2o2 for health. You can put some h2o2 in your bath. Search web for h2o2+bath ... You will also find many articles about h2o2 there http://educate-yourself.org/hp/index.shtml
Good Luck"
05/11/2009: Linda from Canterbury, Kent/United Kingdom replies: "Hi, we had the same issue with our hot tub - not wanting to use Bromine. We now use a product call "Clear choice" (for the past two years) which comes from the US, and uses bioremediation. It is very effective, very economical, not harmful and a lot cheaper than all the other chemicals."
