Food Grade Peroxide
03/31/2010: Colleen from Minneapolis, Minnesota: "Hydrogen Peroxide dilution
I've been hearing so many great things about H2O2 that I decided to buy a bottle of food grade peroxide. My question is how to dilute it. It's a 4oz. bottle. On the back of the bottle it states "contains 12% aqueous solution of food grade hydrogen peroxide". I know you can't post brand names but the company looks to be o-w & company and it's in a red and white bottle. I have one more question. After diluting it can I put it in a water jug "clearly marked of course"? Thanks to anybody who takes the time to answer my questions."
[YEA] 03/11/2010: Joe from Sarnia, Ontario: "My wife and I have been using the food grade h2o2 for 3 days now and feel an amazing amount of energy. You can tell that it is doing it's job of cleaning up the mess inside. The correct way to dilute it is: 1 oz 35% h2o2 mixed with 11 oz distilled or other pure water (not tap).
Start with 1 drop of this new mixture (3%) 3x a day and move up a drop every day until you hit 25 drops. Then you can begin to taper down when you feel or see results. We started right at the middle mark though (we're just crazy) and wouldn't recommend others do that, but we're feeling great already and look forward to better health. I would also recommend to take a few days off of it every month.
05/18/2010: Mike from Tallahassee, Fl replies: "Hi Joe, my understanding is that you do not need to dilute the 35% peroxide if you are using the "dropper method". Dropping the 35% into water is the dilution. Where did you hear differently?"
[SIDE EFFECTS] 02/02/2010: Dan from Uniontown, Ohio, Usa: "Hi my name is Dan,48yrs old. I have been taking the Hydrogen Peroxide Food Grade (HPFG) 35% for acouple of weeks now. I'am up to 16 drops 3 times aday. I've been using water distilled its been hard because of the taste. I reed in a book I have that I could use Milk, so from this point on I've been using milk and it has really help me drink it. But at around 19 drops I caught a COLD started out as a sore throat and went into my chest. I don't understand how I got this because the HPFG is suppose to kill viruses and everything else specially at 19 drops 3times a day. Any answers on why I got sick at this point in the therapy. I've been health all winter long."Replies
06/23/2010: Feda from Sydney, Australia replies: "HI there, it is because your body is getting rid of many toxins, it was a method of release."
[BETTER BUT WITH SIDE EFFECTS] 01/26/2010: Vanessa from Lobelville, Tn: "i have been on hydrogen peroxide now for 21 days and im up to 14 drops twice a day, its kinda making me sick i want to come off it now , i no i have to go down each day to a drop less , but iam swimming also and its a chlorinated pool is that going to make it worse? , while taking the hydro peroxide/oxygen therapy. and i know u cant just stop doing this., i was diagnosed with copd and this hydro peroxide/oxygen therapy has helped tremendously. also i have this bloated feeling , and i did quit smoking after 40 years of being a smoker this hydro peroxide/oxygen therapy has helped with that urge too so i havent smoked while doing these treatments. also i only drink a little bit with this hydro peroxide/oxygen therapy and i stir cause i want to get it down, in the beggining i was vomiting when i first started this and i know u r supposed to drink alot of distilled water , i drink cranberry juice and orange juice..about a half cup full with my drops . is this ok if i dont drink alot with the doseage of hydro peroxide/oxygen therapy so please email me back and hopefully help me with these questions i h ave ...thank u so for this sight..."Replies
12/25/2011: Dhozzie from Pataya, Chonburi Thailand replies: "You will not have any side affects if you drink it with milk.... Don't use any juices that contain Vitamin C. This is an amazing product don't give it up."
01/18/2010: Rebecca from Castaic, California: "35% Food Grade Hydrogen Peroxide
I drink a glass of either combination; 4 oz of Aloe Vera juice, fruit juice 2oz or Distilled water 4oz and 2-3 oz of fruit juice and add various amounts of 35% Food Grade Hydrogen Peroxide..I use a dropper so it's about 20-40 drops depending on ?
Lately i have been using about 40 drops every morning and sometimes take my vitamin regime with the liquid ( alfa lupoic acid, vit D, Vit E, salmon oils, multi vitamins, acai chews, vit c chewable, B "50", Glucosamine& Chondroitin. Then eating later about 11am or noon
Is this a good thing?
If I was to get pregnant would this be a good thing to continue?
I am very prone to yeast infection so this is when I started this 35% h020 drinking."
07/08/2010: Coregon from Medford, Or replies: "Rebecca, I read that it's really important you not take supplements that contain iron with the peroxide. It also recommended you not take ANY supplements with the peroxide. Some supplements are not compatible with peroxide. It's better to take them separately from your peroxide."
[SIDE EFFECTS] 01/05/2010: Elizabeth from Nashville, Tn: "Side effects of oral H202
I have been taking my daily dosage of food grade H202 for the past couple weeks with good success. The only hiccup I had was a herx reaction on the 3rd day that went away within a couple of days. I usually take my H202 around 11 am, since by this time my breakfast has been digested very well. I made the mistake this past weekend of eating a HUGE lunch, I mean the gut busting, miserable feeling, jeans popping kind. I waited the usual 3-4 hours and took my dosage. BIG mistake. Within an hour I got nauseated and queasy. By 1am that night I had sharp stomach pains and symptoms that basically replicated a stomach virus (this is what happened with my first herx reaction). I believe this was because I still had food in my stomach from my lunch and the peroxide was reacting to it. So be warned...make sure you have an empty stomach before your dosage. I should have waited at least 6 hours after that big of a meal. It is not fun :( But all in all I am having a good response to the H202 in general. Just respect it."
[SIDE EFFECTS] 12/15/2009: Elizabeth from Nashville, Tn: "I started the H202 orally as of 12/12/2009. I use 3% diluted food grade and distilled water. I have systemic candida so I started at the absolute lowest dosage of 1 drop 1X daily. I have increased it by 1 drop each day. As of this morning I have an upset stomach, achy body, fatigue and low grade fever. My stomach is what bothers me the most. It feels like someone is stabbing me in the stomach. I know all about the herx reaction and I planned on it but not so quickly! I've only gone to 3 drops 1x daily! My question is this...is there something I could be doing to speed up the process. I don't want to quit because of all the health benefits. Do I need to decrease it or keep going and maybe it will rectify itself? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!"Replies
12/15/2009: Cat from Fairfield, Iowa replies: "Try using psyllium--1 T. in half a glass of water on empty stomach in morning and before bed at night. I read that psyllium binds with candida and removes via the bowels. Has really helped me."
12/16/2009: M. from Brazil replies: "Hi, you just have to work through it.
I suggest you first do a "mini" colon cleanse for 7 or 10 days. Start your date with a Salt Water Flush (wait two hours before you go anywhere).
Google for the recipe. I personally use half of this amount, and it works very well. During this period make sure you are eating high amounts of fiber. My favourite is organic brown rice (make it 70% or so of everything you ingest during the day days).
Then try the peroxide treatment again(I have no experiences with that one, so can't comment)."
[QUESTION] 11/29/2009: Betty from St. Paul, Mn, USA: "Hydrogen Peroxide food grade
Does use of H2O2 internally create harmful free radicals? I read this on a website that this is true if taken for general, long term health. They stated it ought to be used for cancer and other immediate serioius conditions.
[QUESTION] 11/12/2009: Joseph from Wpb, Fl: "Does EC or anyone know "How do we convert (formula) 35% HP Food Grade Hyrogen Peroxide to the 1-3% suggested for internal drop usage? I would like to mix 1oz or 2oz. of the 35% but I'm not sure how much water to add to make it the 3% ?
With Gratitude JP"
11/15/2009: Anita from Georgetown, Il replies: "The ratio is 11:1 - I mix 1 tablespoon of 35% hydrogen peroxide with 11 tablespoons of distilled water to get 3% hydrogen peroxide."
10/28/2009: Kinala from Pahoa, Hi: "I am trying to find out if it is known to be totally safe for a pregnant woman to soak in the baths with 35% hydrogen peroxide? Please email me any information you may have on the subject. Thanks."
09/28/2009: Tammy from Shelbyville, Tn: "Does H2O2 Increase Thirst? I just started taking drops of 35% Food Grade Peroxide diluted to 3% in water. I am taking 6 drops 3 times per day, on day 4. I noticed on day two that I woke up with cotton mouth and have been extremely thirsty ever since. Nothing seems to quench my thirst. Is this normal while taking H2O2? I have never had this problem...in fact, I used to have to force 8, 8-oz glasses of water down my throat every day, now since being on the H2O2 I am drinking 12-14 glasses of water and still feel like I have cotton mouth. Please let me know if this is normal? Thanks!"
[WARNING!] 09/26/2009: Luis from Cali, Colombia: "Storage of H2O2 35% Food Grade (Caution)
The following information comes from a commercial company but I think is useful for all of us:
"In recent weeks I've been having conversations with a fascinating man in the mid west... Mr. Grotz has dedicated the last 25 years of his life to, as he puts it "spreading the good word about hydrogen peroxide".
But not without a lot of personal experimentation and research, first... Here are a few tidbits from our conversation that I thought no one who is dealing with or handling hydrogen peroxide should be without, and I hope you'll find them useful.
1. Never store 35% Food Grade H2O2 in soda bottles or other containers that can be mistaken for water or drinks. In the 2 cases of death by drinking pure 35% H2O2 that came up in our discussion, both occurred when storage containers were in the home food refrigerator or freezer and were NOT MARKED AS 35% FGH2O2.
2. If you ever DO ingest, or are in the presence of someone who ingests 35% FoodGradeH2O2, DO NOT LET THEM LIE DOWN. Make the person remain sitting upright or standing NO MATTER WHAT. This is because the peroxide will bubble up and release gas from the stomach. If the person lies down, they will suffocate. In both the cases of death mentioned above this is exactly what happened. This is most likely because the pain caused in the stomach is strong enough to cause the person to want to lie down and curl into a ball.
3. If you remain upright, then you will feel awful, and your stomach will hurt a lot. but you will live and have no long term ill effects.
How is it that Mr. Grotz would know this information and know it is trust- worthy, you ask? Let me tell you. It turns out that Mr. Grotz has not only read over 10,000 medical papers on the uses of hydrogen peroxide, he also took matters very much into his own hands in this instance.
Believe it or not, he actually tested this theory on himself. He drank some 35% FGH2O2. Not a lot, but some. By remaining upright he survived the experience, with only a temporarily strongly upset stomach and not other ill effects. Personally, I would strongly advise against this form of testing, myself!
More recently, a woman called him when someone in her household drank 35% FGH2O2. She was in a panic. He gave the instructions to make sure the person remained upright. The woman called back the next day to thank him. She had followed his instructions, and the "victim" had survived drinking 35% Food Grade H2O2.
While these instances of people accidentally drinking pure 35% Food Grade H2O2 are rare, it is certainly worth knowing what to do in the event that it happens. The best way to avoid this kind of crisis is to keep all pure 35% Food Grade H2O2 well labeled, in containers with child proof caps (must be either squeezed or pressed down while turning to open).
It is recommended to keep 35% FGH2O2 in the freezer; but if you have young children you should seriously consider a locking freezer unit that is NOT the home food freezer.
It should be noted that in all the incidents I know of, the persons who actually drank the 35% hydrogen peroxide were over the age of 16. They were not children who could not read. That is because hydrogen peroxide looks just like water. In the freezer it will not freeze, so perhaps it could be mistaken for vodka or some strong form of alcohol.
In any event, drinking pure 35% hydrogen peroxide CAN kill a person; and is always at the very least an extremely uncomfortable experience. So store it safely, locked in a commercial freezer and well labeled to avoid potential danger to everyone.
It's true that hydrogen peroxide breaks down safely to water and oxygen, and isin that sense and in very weak dilutions is completely non toxic. However, strong solutions of hydrogen peroxide are caustic oxydizers. Having the right information makes all the difference."
01/16/2011: Makittle from Kearney, Nebraska replies: "I read in the article that FGHP will not freeze in the freezer. Mine did-does that mean it's not good. Did I get bad product. I purchased a gallon from the Garden of Eden, Is that a reputable company? I am going to start the program again when I know I will not be flying back and forth from my family."
01/17/2011: Kay from In The Valley, Ca replies: "Actually the FGHP does at least partially freeze in the freezer, and this is normal as far as I know. I use it all the time and mine is always partially frozen and works great."
01/17/2011: Maria from Gippsland, Australia replies: "Hi Makittle, I had 35% Food Grade Hydrogen Peroxide in a one litre very strong black plastic container and it never froze in the freezer. The pharmacist said the best place to keep it was in the freezer as it would not freeze. It never did. Maybe yours is just a lower percentage."
01/17/2011: Tom from Regina, Sk replies: "Makittle:
Always check the MSDS sheet for data on any corrosive, toxic, or dangerous chemical or substance.
This covers very well any range the H2O2 strength will be in if degraded.
"FOOD GRADE" is of course supposed to be 35%.
It must be kept out of the light if in a translucent bottle! That's why those small (about 250-500 ml) H2O2 pump sprayer bottles sold in drug stores are a dark brown plastic.
Check your freezer with a thermometer A deep freeze separate freezer will be colder than an icebox (kitchen) fridge-freezer.
FREEZING POINT: -15ºC/6ºF (20%); -22ºC/-8ºF (27%); -26ºC/-15ºF (31%); -
One way to tell if the H2O2 is slightly decomposed but perfectly usable (after all, the small spray bottle stuff is only 3%) is to measure the specific gravity, but you would need a hygrometer for that:
SPECIFIC GRAVITY: 1.07 @ 20ºC/4ºC (20%); 1.10 @ 20ºC/4ÂC (27%); 1.11 @
20ºC/4ºC (31%); 1.13 @ 20ºC/4ºC (35%)
Simple test is to dilute a few drops about 5:1 or 10:1, then drip onto a wetted toothbrush head.
Just as people who use it for this will attest, it will bubble and fizz as it encounters some enzymes on the brush head that break it down fast."
[QUESTION] 09/24/2009: Janey from Grant Park, Il: "I have been using the 35% food grade for many things, drinking water, although I only seem to get 2 glasses a day in, brushing my teeth with it and baking soda, mixing it with acv and applying it to raised skin spots on my face and also for skin tags on my neck. I also spray up my nose before bed and add a couple drops to the water in my cpap machine. I have only been using it about 10 days.
My question is this, I am leaving for Florida on vacation in a couple of weeks and am wondering if it is safe to pack the 35% in a little blue dropper bottle in my suitcase for the flight? I don't know how the air pressure on an airplane might affect it. Please let me know as soon as possible. I don't want to be without it for 3 weeks."Replies
09/25/2009: T from Maryland, Usa replies: "I would call the airline. It may be banned, especially in that concentration. H202 has been used in bomb making, and they could potentially have dogs sniffing that stuff out at airports (just speculating on that point; I really don't know). If it's banned, I wouldn't chance the ensuing hassle you'd get in these high-security times. Call the airline for the definitive answer."
09/29/2009: Janey from Grant Park, Illinois replies: "TRAVELING WITH 35% FOOD GRADE HP
I am still trying to find out how I can keep taking my 35 0/0 drops in water while traveling. I am flying to Florida and will be gone 3 weeks. Do I need to start decreasing now. I am only at 14 drops but don't know if I should mail it to my daughter so I can take it while I am gone. Can I fly with it packed in my suitcase or in my carry on? It's only the 2 oz dropper bottle. I posted this request and have not heard. I am leaving on Oct 13th so I need to know soon what to do. I don't know how to get an answer to this question. I am getting very anxious about it."
EC: Hi Janey, Your post was answered by T from Maryland. See thread.
09/30/2009: Kathy from Dubois, Pa replies: "I do not think that flying with 35% hydrogen peroxide is allowed, and in fact, if they find it in your luggage, you could get in serious trouble. Do a search for the MSDS (Material Data Safety Sheet) for 35% hyrogen peroxide. I think you will find that it is a Hazmat substance because it is so corrosive. I would also call the airline or airport to make sure of what the regulations are."
[QUESTION] 08/10/2009: Larry from Venice, Fl: "I have increased my H2O2 to 25 drops three times per day and am now reducing by one drop three time per day. When reaching the beginning dosage of 3 drops three times per day, what is the maintenance dose? Is it 3 drops once per day, 3 drops three times per day,or what? Any insight will be greatly appreciated. Larry"Replies
08/10/2009: Troy from Venice, Fl replies: "Hi Larry, Where did you find H2O2, here in Venice? I would like to start a maintenance dose also. Thank you"
08/11/2009: Larry from Venice, Fl replies: "I ordered it from a company on the web. Do you know what maintenance schedule you are going to use?"
08/14/2009: Northmankato from Northmankato, Mn Usa replies: "I found this article By Dr. David G. Williams interesting/informative but I am just in the gathering information stage
In most situations after the above 21 day program, the amount of H202 can be tapered off gradually as follows:
25 drops once every other day for 1 week
25 drops once every third day for 2 weeks
25 drops once every fourth day for 3 weeks
By Dr. David G. Williams"
[QUESTION] 08/06/2009: Cancure from Tugtown, Nb, Canada: "Is there a recommended dosage of hydrogen peroxide to take as a maintenance dose just to put more oxygen in your blood even if the person does not have any medical problems? Thanks cancure"
