Started that about a little over 3 wks ago. Helps me with my energy level, since my system doesn't have to work harder to break down meat, dairy, etc. PGX is something I saw on Dr. Oz. He had John Gray on talking about balancing hormones, sex, etc. And the recipe was in his latest book and that's what I followed. He listed the PGX and after reading about it, it acts like a fiber to fill you up. If you google it, you"ll find it in some weight loss drinks. It could cause gas, so that's why you start out with 1/4tsp. and work up. Drink lots of water. I hope this works for you."

You mentioned the "balancing hormones" etc. So I'm hoping that this is all safe to take while I'm still taking hormone replacement medication. I seem to remember you saying that you still took a low dose as well?"

I realize alot of people are not comfortable trying a HRT, but I did try all the natural products that were recommended, and did so much reading. None of it did the job like a low dose of Ogen. It's a conscious choice I made to stay on it. I hope the drink works for you."

EC is a search-driven site so, in order to find what you want, you must know what to put into the search box at the top right of the EC page.For instance, if you want Ted's recommendations for a flu cure, then just type "Ted flu cure" in the EC search box. If you want to know Ted's alkalizing remedies then just type "Ted Alkalizing Remedies" in the EC search box. In all these search results, you will only ever get results containing your search words.
The other method is to click on the Ailments tab on EC -- select an ailment and go to that page. As is the same on all ailments pages, track down until you see a list of sections for that page on the right hand side. Usually, at the top and with a dark green background there will be a "Question & Answers" section -- and this is where Ted(as well as others) also gives specific recommendations."

It has happened to me that someone seems to be waiting for an answer from me and I never saw it. Deirdre is trying to set up a feature so that we get a warning sent to us that someone is trying to contact us or that there are new postings on that thread, that way you can keep track of who is trying to get more information or maybe to give you information because that happens as well. I think that most people here are very helpful, I mean, I am sure of that! "

I am very disappointed that Google fuels your search, and lately it has not been working properly. Google reports to the Powers that be aka the gov't. as to whom searches for what, from what I understand.
That's bad enough, but also, I have been using the search as of late, and it doesn't work. The links to pages on your site work, but the searched word is not on the pages returned from the search.

Thank you for your feedback.
I've just tested the search function on multiple browsers and don't see the issue you have written about. However, I have asked one of the programmers to test it out as well. If you can provide more information (ie., the key words you used in your search), it would be very helpful. You might try clearing your history and cache and then restarting your browser. The programmers make changes to some of the main files on the site quite frequently and if you have an old file from the site, it might cause some issues.

It's very hard to find what you're looking for. I assumed that this was the norm. By the way, all my computers are Macintosh so I don't know if that matters."

The searches I have done in the past were connected with finding postings, either mine or someone elses, you see the headlines but then no page opens. Also if someone sends a link sometimes instead of opening the link you are sent to another EC page so I just copy the link and paste on another page. I just fill in the search option on the top of the EC page. I have to say that I feel less and less safe using the Internet as people can Google anything you write at any time, for many years. Not a nice feeling........ I feel that Google should be there for finding certain pages, not everything people write......"

I don't use the search box unless absolutely necessary, as you go to the page and then you have to read everything to try and find the word you are looking for. The highlighted word/s used to show up and I could just scroll down the page till I saw an highlighted area. It stopped showing any highlights for me sometime last year. Oh and I use Windows 7. It is not unusual for weeks to go by when Ted is out of contact with Earth Clinic. He's been very busy treating patients in Thailand the past few years, so we don't hear from him as much as we used to. He did send me a brief email about his accident when he was able to type a few words and I called him immediately.
Having an announcements page is a great idea, thanks for the feedback. The problem is that finding a spot to put a link to such a page is getting very tricky lately. The site is already too busy, which is an issue we will try to address in the next design!

I have a fungi disease, I had this disease since birth, it has progressed way beyond it's explanation in the scientific field, this disease has compromised my bone density to very thin resullts, my eyes, my memory, my attitude and much, much more.
At the present time I am 100% handy-capped; recently I had decided to give up and just let things happen, I was eating a half gal. of ice cream every two or three days along with my main meal and several candy bars, cookies and or a cake.
I strongly feel where there is fungus there are parasites. One of my doctors said there was algea present: one of these diseases the picture is a plant like growth that grows as long as the body, it also stems outward. The other statement here states: Toxoplasma gondi: two of my brothers died very young from toxins which caused heart failure in one and just plain toxins by the ?00000000 (thou. )I am now as of a week ago decided to take my life back and hold on because I plan on living a few more years. I never knew there was life after death until I found this website. Thank you millions for giving us this great chance at life once again. Here I was sitting here thinking no one cared, everyone acted as if they didn't dare go against Drs. orders, the worse case scenario is that it's sad that Drs. go to school for many years and are forced to cover up the govs. lies and schemes not so much for profit but for power.

When you eat high-nitrate foods, good bacteria in the mouth turn nitrate into nitrite. Nitrites can help open up the blood vessels in the body, increasing blood flow and oxygen specifically to places that are lacking oxygen. Also, Pycnogenol increases nitric oxide. Do a search on beet juice and nitric oxide, as well as Pycnogenol & NO.. (these two are my favorites)"

As for the beet juice, I use a pressure cooker to cook my beets (1 cup water with a tsp on ACV) I drink the dark red liquid afterwards and find it immediately relaxing and calming. I take pycnogenol as a general anti-oxidant. Noticeable effects are with endurance and concentration... Lifting brain fog, and asthma. Effects are similar for me to Rhodiola.. Other claimed effects (though hard to measure) are skin elasticity, heart, eye health, varicose veins. I take 100mg day, (50 morning, 50 evening)"

I like both, but find a hot drink more calming. (Like a bowl of Ukranian borscht) Experiment for yourself and find what works best for you. As for Pycnogenol, I like to take it on and off... Switching perhaps with something like Ginseng or Rhodiola. It is good to experiment, introducing remedies to our body, which has a memory, and will intuitively tell us which it might need... & lastly take advice here with a grain of salt.. 11/10/2010: Andrea C from Cardiff, Uk writes: "Hi 2 every 1 x I'm shortly due to have a full hip replacement, due 2 arthritis, I also have the dreaded fibromyalgia, and, deteriorating disc disease. And also neuropathic nerve all over my body. From head to foot. Like every 1 else I have been put on all sorts of drugs which I'm terrified, may have caused it. At this present time I have begun veg juicing and a raw food diet as I'm unable to cook clean or wash myself, like so many other people suffering chronic pain. And I personally belive that a loving caring partner or friend who will give time to find out how any chronic painfull illness is a major part of the healing cycle. Some 1 who takes time to study up on your ailments, and spending time with you and helping and encouraging u in your efforts to get well. I was a supreme athlete but now can't walk properly, and in chronic pain all the time, but I'm not posting this out of self pity. I too am alone in trying to heal myself, I live alone, but have a partner who will not read anything about any of my ailments, so he has no understanding or is he willing to educate himself and is always making negative remarks, such as, I'm lazy, or how come you walked to the bathroom 2 minutes ago, and now your asking me to get you a glass of water? Even my consultant at the hospital hung round waiting to speak to him when I broke down after being asked why hasn't he come to visit me and that pain hurts like hell too. A week ago I had a food order which my brother who has just had an op himself, took in for me. I couldn't carry it myself and my brother tried to carry from his flat next door to mine, and ended up collapsing in mine. I then rang my partner for help and he told me that he was going out to get drunk with his brother and that was more important than me being left with no food or water!! Yes I know, u must all think like the docs and other people have said why am I still with him or, get rid, he's stressing me out and I'm mad to be with him. But, now and again he does help and boy oh boy! , do I pay for it. I get an ear bashing when he does anything for me, and yes I've been on the verge of suicide creek many times, but, as hard as it is I will keep on trying.
I guess what I'm trying to say is no matter how hard and painful it is, I am loved by a higher force in whom I have faith in, but most of all dispite all his negativity, now I'm broken, I'm determined to fix myself. This website is full of wonderful people whom their selves are fighting all sorts of terrible things, are so willing to try and help others and sharing thier love and remedies with us all. Don't give up please! Not when so many people are willing to impart thier help to us all despite suffering so badly themselves. And remember don't expect a remedy to work right away give it at least a few months[3 at least not a day or 2 and say it never worked. I've been trying all sorts for the last 2 years and there's been times when I felt like giving up, but since I found earth clinic, I feel, somebody, somewhere, cares enough to try and help may the light of healing fall on you all, and thank you earth clinic for being here with some great input from everyone involved. May the angels brush you with their wings and sweep away your sufferings. Will let you all know if any natural remedies I try work, and if not, I'll be back to look up the next 1!!! I gave it to my first born daughter! And by the way... My husband is Welsh! Yes, it is very important to have someone who cares. Like you I also was alone for many years so I know how it feels. I had a quite tragic, very difficult life and felt like quitting quite a few times but look.... If I had done that I would have never met my wonderful Welsh husband and I would have never known what real happiness feels like (I am 53)! So.... Not quitting many times is a very good thing! And... My daughter Andrea is getting married coming June, something I would have never witnessed if I had left before my time!You talk about how important it is to have a partner who cares about your suffering, who gets information and helps you. Of course you are absolutely right but we can also help them understand that! My husband is a very caring person but was not really the type of person who would do that. There were times when I was upset because I was trying to do something, for example with my eyes and he didn't seem to care about my little victories. He was even very dismissive. He thought that the books I read were nonsense (as a scientist he only cared about "real" science! ). But little by little he learned that all that was important for me and for our life together. Now, a few years down the line, he has changed. He read a book about my eye therapy and thoroughly enjoyed it and recently read two books about nutrition and cholesterol. He is now a lot more sensitive to the natural side of things and is starting to learn that the world is quite different from what he thought it was!
So..... If you care enough about your partner, try to work with him to make him understand what is important for you and maybe he will also change (my husband is 56). As far as us here caring you can be sure that there are a lot of caring people around, if not all! If people wouldn't care they probably wouldn't be here trying to help not only themselves but also others over and over again. I am relatively new to this site but I am sure that you will find people here who have been around for many years! So...... I hope that you will get better soon and will also be able to help others with a heart full of happiness! My thoughts will be with you!"

I'm so glad you did find Earth Clinic. It really does have a lot of really caring people here. I have learned so much and used many of the remedies offered by people from all over the world! And yes, you are loved by a higher force always. Sometimes this world is not an easy place to be especially when physical pain can be overwhelming. Remember though, there are lots of people to reach out to. I guarantee there are people close by ready to assist you. And meditation and prayer are powerful as well. I too had a lot of physical pain that I dealt w/ for several years and through a raw food diet and green juicing turned my health around.Today, I still deal w/ a lot of hip pain but keep trying to find the answers. I too was a top "athlete" through my life as a ballet dancer so I know how difficult it can be sometimes remembering how I used to move. Still, I have learned many lessons through this path. One of them being compassion- I didn't have a lot of it when I was a dancer! I just felt like people that had physical issues probably weren't doing their best! Yikes! Now, I really feel for people. I work to help people find answers through natural means, diet, meditation, alternative medicine etc.
Anyway, just know that people are here on this site to help and encourage one another. I see two people have already written you. Francisca is always here to encourage people and ask questions and as an avid reader, she often has some interesting feedback. As Lily says, keep up w/ the raw food diet and juicing- it will restore your health, I guarantee it. I have seen miracles throughout the raw food community. You can find support there as well. I started taking green juices this summer and the changes it's made has been wonderful.Have you heard of kefir? There is great information in EC about this amazing drink. Please do consider adding that to your diet routine. It can be very lonely when the people who are close to you have zero interest in the changes you are making in your life. I am glad that you realize that you have a higher power who loves you. Remember you are never alone. Are there any people in your area who have similar interests? May be you need to reach out and form your own support group. You also have to turn inwards for strength and meditation and affirmations are wonderful tools for that.
I don't know if you have heard of Hay House radio? They have programs around the clock with hosts such as Caroline Myss, Christiane Northrup, Wayne W. Dyer, and of course Louise Hay herself. The best belief you ever knew, is just inside your soul, and when life gets so very bad, we pray he/she makes us whole. And when the higher power, we thinks not there at all, please just remember this, my friends, sometimes pain blinds us all. If there is really such a god that really loves us all, why did he make life great one sec, and left us all to fall? We all forget small miracles coz' we're looking for the one, that makes us feel that life is great and all suffering is done. But what we all should be aware is our healing in our hands, and whenever we scream out at him/her why God ? Why is should it be me, just look back at your lifestyle where your healing truth may be. But if we really can't not find a place were ere' we can find rest, just remember people you don't know have been all through life's test. And even little children and pets who've done no wrong at all, will be in all our prayers each, day for god to mend us all. And don't forget my dear folks that are so very ill, the answer to your illnesses may be caused by a pill. I don't mean you should stop them altogether at one time, just reduce yourself down slowly, and hope you will be fine. Scare tactics and poor information, "snake oil remedies" does not make all the claims out there to be no good.
