Rosy Periwinkle is a noteworthy medicinal herb, much more so than the other Vincas, though they also have a few medicinal qualities.Of the three different Periwinkles , Madagascar or "Rosy" Periwinkle is by far the most important plant medicinally, generating hundreds of millions per year in the pharmaceutical industry as a promising addition to the arsenal against childhood leukemia, Hodgkin's Disease, testicular cancer and cancerous tumors, high blood pressure, and uncontrolled bleeding, not to mention the fact that it has powerful tranquilizing properties. Unfortunately, this plant can also be poisonous if used inappropriately. Historically, Rosy Periwinkle has been used to treat high blood sugar in diabetics, and many cultures still drink teas made out of the plant for this purpose. I really want to say that it has worked on me and now my FATHER inlaw....But as the saying is what's good for the goose, might not be good for the gander.

Yes it is very true and I just need to share my family's experience about this wonderful herb! My 2 cousins who had endometrial (stage 3) and cervical (stage 4) cancers were advised by my mother who was a herbalist to take periwinkle tea using its roots (OVER BITTER!!! ) at least for 3 cups a day or as much as they could and after 6 months their cancers went down to stage 1 after a year they were completely healed. It's been 20 years now and both my cousins are very healthy and still maintaining to drink their teas regularly. KUDOS to Periwinkle...
