Tendonitis Remedies
"Tendinitis (informally also tendonitis), meaning inflammation of a tendon (the suffix "itis" means "inflammation"), is a type of tendinopathy often confused with the more common tendinosis, which has similar symptoms but requires different treatment. The term tendinitis should be reserved for tendon injuries that involve larger-scale acute injuries accompanied by inflammation. Generally tendinitis is referred to by the body part involved, such as Achilles tendinitis (affecting the Achilles tendon), or patellar tendinitis (jumper's knee, affecting the patellar tendon)." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tendonitis

[YEA] 02/14/2009: Kathy from Las Vegas, NV: "Alfalfa cured my tendonitis: I took 24 tablets a day, 8 at each meal for 2 weeks then tapered off to about 10 or so a day. I took the heavy dose for 2 weeks to saturate my body then I took 10 a day for about a year. It's been 10 years and I usually have no pain or swelling. If I type alot or write alot I do have some discomfort but nothing like before!
As a side note I had some testing done and was told that I now have carpal tunnel in both arms but I had no idea because I have no pain!"
[YEA] 04/01/2012: George from Caldwell, Idaho replies: "Thanks for your post Kathy. I had been taking the minimum required Alfalfa tablets for about two weeks and didn't feel any improvement with my arthritis and tendonitis. After reading your post I took 18 tablets today and actually have felt a vast improvement with my pain already!"

[YEA] 11/06/2006: James from Pemberton, New Jersey: "Apple Cider Vinegar has cured: varicose veins, weight lose, tendonitis, wrinkles. In April of 2005, I came across a booklet for ACV, at the time I was 50 years old I played sports in high school, a construction worker for 20 years and a mover for the last 15, so I have done a number on my body over the years. My daughter convinced me to start taking ACV... I have taken it everyday since! The health benefits have been many. The first thing I noticed was my hair and nail growth, doesn't seem like much but my hair was white and had no color, but was growing back in blonde! I thought that was amazing! Over all the years of abuse on my feet and ankles I had purple feet from the varicose veins, it really was a severe case, after two months of use my feet started to look clearer to me, but I wasn't sure so I started taking pictures....I now have NO varicose veins on my feet, legs or anything. In April of 2005 I was a size 38 pants, today I am a 32 pants. I have not done any extra exercise to achieve this, It simply melted the pounds away (I also have a six pack again). The ACV has given me a facelift, I do NOT look like I am 51! My wrinkles around my eyes have literally disappeared. My skin is tighter, firmer every where. I feel like a new man. Over the years while abusing my body in my everyday life (working) I developed new and painful body movements, aches where I never had before and eventually the Doc diagnosed me with tendonitis (really painful) in both of my shoulders, being a mover this isn't good for business, it really started hurting my paycheck (then I started the ACV). I really had not realized I stopped taking the naproxen the Dr. had prescribed until I went to see him for my physical. He asked me if I needed a new script, that's when I realized I used to live on those pills everyday and hadn't needed them once since I started taking the ACV, so I told the Dr. about the ACV he was awed, seeing the results for himself he decided to start taking it, in fact my Barber, Boss, Coworkers, Kids, Brothers and sister all now take it with health benefits of there own. I tell you I LOVE ACV it has changed my life and made me a new healthier man. I actually believe I have a long healthy life ahead. The recipe I use everyday is: 2 table spoons of ACV and 1 Tablespoon of honey. Add water to taste. I do this two times a day, everyday. Good luck to all in your journey to a healthier you!"

CIPRO SIDE EFFECT

[WARNING!] 04/02/2011: Dallas from Amesbury, Ma: "For anyone out there with tendon problems ie: tendinitis (tendonitis) please beware and search this out on the web. If you ever take the antibiotic Cipro, or anything in the same family, take note that Cipro, or members of the same family, can cause tendon inflammation and even tendon rupture! This is along with a long list of other side effects including death. I have just been on Cipro, having started taking it for a severe kidney infection. When I started to get back some old tendon pain issues, I looked Cipro up on the web and sure enough, it can be a killer for tendons - even long after you take the medication. I finished my Cipro a couple of weeks ago, and the tendon pain is increasing rather than decreasing. I also had many other painful symptoms (back pain, neck pain, headache etc... ) while on Cipro. And the darned infection has returned! I refused Cipro this time around and am on Bactrim. I am almost afraid to look up the side effects of this drug. If it wasn't for the sake of my kidneys............"
Replies04/02/2011: Wishingyouwell from Gentle Earth, Ks replies: "I believe cipro contains fluoride."
09/21/2011: Skycandy from Mi, Fl replies: "I too have been floxed. I will never take any form of the anitbiotics flouroquinillones nor will any member of my family. I took Cipro in January 2011 for an UTI and w/in 3 days my knees felt tight and stiff. By the 5th day my right knee was hurting and swollen and by the 7th day my left knee was the same. A co-worker asked if I was taking an anti-biotic and I told her I was, and she said it could be the cause.Sure enough, after researching, I found that Cipro can cause tendonitis. On the 8th day I could not even walk and have been struggling to get back to normal ever since. I am not able to run, walk for long periods of time or do any kind of activity. I was completely healthy before taking this medication and now I feel like a handicap person some days. I am only 36 yrs old. Yes it does have flouride in it. It is posion and the FDA knows and still lets this be on the market. Levaquin is the same thing. I have had x-rays, MRI's, you name it, and according to the DR's there is nothing wrong w/me. It is very frustrating and I am hoping to find a cure on this website. Something to flush this poison out of my body. My wrists, hands, fingers, ankles, toes and kness have all been effected by this crap. If anyone has any suggestions, please help!!"
09/21/2011: Rob from Manhattan, Ny replies: "You may want to experiment with Zeolite.. I have tried both the liquid (Waiora= too expensive) and the powder.. (Zeoforce).... Preferring the powder for price/quality and the fact that it isn't multi-level marketed. I only take it on occasion but do notice it's effects... Seems to settle my system, lift brain fog.. Do some research on it... However, I am still a little cautious with it as I am waiting for more studies to confirm it's effectiveness in eliminating toxins..Ted, what are your thoughts on Zeolite?"
[WARNING!] 10/18/2011: Jc from Los Angeles, Ca, Usa replies: "I HIGHLY ADVISE AGAINST TAKING CIPROFLOXIN!!
I am a 25 year old, 90lbs woman. I was prescribed Cipro for a UTI. After one dose, I felt extremely stiff, nausea, and was having difficulty walking. I decided to lie down (but had to get up to go to the restroom because of the UTI). When I lifted myself out of bed, I heard a loud pop in my achilles tendon and immediately was struck with intense pain. I could no longer put any weight on it--let alone walk.
Turns out after researching, I found out that one of the side effects for Ciprofloxin is ruptured tendons!!! I have greatly suffered from this drug and was unable to walk for months. Luckily, I did not need surgery as some of the tendon is still intact. Though, I am still unable to run on it, carry heavy weight, do streneous activity and that happened 6 months ago! I'm so young and I had to share my story because I don't want anyone to go through the same experience that I did!!
Please read all side effects and try to do research on prescriptions before hand, and decide whether the benefits of those meds truly outweigh the side effects. You may save yourself from serious side effects, a lifelong injury, and excess medical bills!!
Heres to a long and healthy life! ~"
[NAY] 10/31/2011: Omg from Columbia, Mo replies: "Cipro should only be used when death is the alternative. a) developed rotator cuff tendonitis while on drug. b) developed proximal hamstring tendinopathy a few months later.Took drug for 8 days for suspected uti - negative. 62 yo male highly active bicyclist up until recently."
11/24/2011: Sophie from Pdx, Oregon replies: "I was sick for about 10 weeks it began with a yeast infection and soon I had lower abdomen pressure. Frequent urnination, fever and headache. Finally I decided to go to the doctor because all of my natural remedies seem to not be able to end the fever and pressure so I was put on Cipro I'm a vegan, and my doctor gave me 5 days worth told me take it for only 3 days, because I'm so sensitive. Well on the third day my joint and tendons were inflamed it was hard to walk or sleep. I'm amazed that Cipro is prescribed to anyone! After reading how dangerous the side effects are... even when you stop taking Cipro it can still affect your tendons 3-6 months down the road!! I was so freaked out! I drank 2 tablespoons of turmeric in water, vitamin C and magnesuim and I'm going to continue that for a few days. Instead of Cipro I'm taking garlic oil pills every few hours. After, I'm all well I'm going to do a Fluoroide Detox program."
[SIDE EFFECTS] 04/20/2012: Melinda from Sitka, Alaska replies: "I too was given cipro and levofloxin during a 4 month episode with a giant kidney stone. I quit taking the levofloxin a week ago after experiencing severe pain in my right shoulder and now my left shoulder and across my neck. I was blown away when I started researching this on the internet and saw the damage this drug does to tendons. I can't believe doctors prescribe this knowing what it can do. My shoulders are weak and painful. I am now taking msm as I heard this repairs tendons and cell structure , I am also taking phenocane for inflamation and pain. Icing the area seems to help and light massage with Traumeel helps also. Any suggestions are helpful."

ELIMINATE ALL ASPARTAME

[YEA] 12/08/2010: Jennifer from Mayerthorpe, Ab Canada: "A few years ago, I started to suffer from both tendonitis and tennis elbow. At the same time, I was working in my profession of accounting clerk/data entry and thought that this combined with getting into a regular exercise routine had caused the pain. Boy was I ever wrong. I tried anti-inflammatories, physiotherapy, acupuncture, whatever I thought might help. Improvement was noted, but the pain was still there.
Last December (2009), I couldn't sleep because my arms ached so badly. I got up in the middle of the night and started searching on the internet. I found some anecdotal experiences with cutting out aspartame helping with many health issues. In my attempts to lose/maintain my weight, I had switched from drinking regular "brown pop" to diet. Some days, especially while I was enjoying the holiday foods, I would drink two or more cans of diet pop or beverages a day. That night, I decided to cut out foods and drinks with aspartame as much as I could. Within THREE DAYS, I felt no pain in my arms at all. I have tried to return to drinking the odd aspartame infused beverage, but by the next day, I am nearly in tears and can hardly work on any of my projects, whether at work or home doing my crafty stuff. Why the FDA and Canada's counterpart still allow this nasty chemical to be put into the food supply, I'll never know, but at least I know that I can live a nearly pain free existence thanks to my own little experiment."
Replies01/29/2012: Mike from Chicago, Il replies: "The reason is the same for the way it was approved after years of being rejected by the FDA - MONEY. Read how Aspartame was eventually approved by the FDA - crooked politics and money."

MULTIPLE REMEDIES

[YEA] 03/26/2012: Eljer777 from Collegeville, Pennsylvania Usa: "About 3 yrs ago I sprained my left thumb I worked 365 days a year in my janitorial business and though it hurt I kept using my thumb thinking it would take a little longer to heal but so what. I don't know when the tendonitis set in but I remember I couldn't use the thumb. I did research and no one had a cure. I am no novice with vitamins and supplements as I was taking quite a few at the time.
I did some research and the following are what I attribute to curing the tendonitis. Oh, I ran into some financial problems and stopped taking them it took about 9 months(I guess) for it to come back. Rescue 1250 10 pills a day, GLC 2000 per instructions, hyaluronic acid 50mg 2x a day, MSM 6,000mg a day(start slow), MSM cream 3x or more a day, serrapeptast 80,000IU's, calcium/magnesium 3,000mg a day. ACV 1teaspoon with meals and Ultra Source of Life liquid per instructions. I was already taking some of this anyway I simply added a few and increased dosages. I think the GLC 2000 was the key but its just a guess. I don't know how long it took to go away I just noticed one day it was gone. My guess is 3-4 months. U can experiment after the pain is gone and cut back on a lot of this it is pricey. I cut back on everything by easily 1/2. Good luck!"

03/09/2012: Tim from Greer, Sc / Usa: "-BCAA (branch chain amino acids, use as directed) -muscle milk (protein drink, use as directed) I mixed BCAA into the protein drink.
-work out (exercise w/ dumbells, etc. ) 5 times a week
-stretch the tendon many times in the day, massaging the tendon (bring it to the surface) -after work out, ice tendon for 15 minutes, no more than that.
-Take Glucosamine Chondroitin W/ Msm triple strength 2 times a day
-the Glucosomin, stretching, exercise, and ice do it, don't leave anything out. After two weeks, take a day or two off doing absolutly nothing with that tendon.. then start back... You should feel it healing in about 5 days.. will be able to tell a huge difference in about 3 weeks."

[NAY] 09/09/2010: Guest Mother from Toronto, Ontario, canada: "Hi
My dad has been suffering from sever pain in the shoulder for the last 2 months. We went to the doctor, she says it looks like tendonitis and will take 3 months at least. She gave some anti-inflamatory tablets and ointment, which did help a bit but even now he cannot lift his arm. Movement of the arm is very restricted. It is swollen a bit and feels very warm at night and also he gets severe cramps at night. He has been taking MSM and Vitamin C tablets for the last one week but we are yet to see any dramatic difference in his condition. AS it is his right hand, so day to day activties are really painful for him. Please advise what we should do. If Ted can suggest something that will be terrific. He is also taking 1-2 table spoons of ACV in 8 glasses of water and sips through out the day.."
Replies09/10/2010: Kathy from Las Vegas, Nv replies: "Many years ago I had tendinitis in both arms and wrists and hands. A sports DR told me to take alfalfa. SO I researched it and began taking 25 a day for a month to saturate my body then scaled down to 8 a day. It worked great. Sometimes I have a little discomfort but not anything like before. I got my alfalfa tablets at walmart."

[YEA] 01/21/2009: Shawn from Cambridge, Minnesota, USA: "I woke up with tendonitis in my elbow. When I have had tendonitis, it normally has lasted 1-2 weeks minimum. With this treatment I came up with, it was almost gone in 24 hours (almost had full range of motion in arm with minimal pain), and completely gone in 36 hours.
In the first 24 hours, I took these items in the morning and evening: 3 T (instead of called for 2 T) of my daily multivitamin, 1000 mg Vitamin C with rose hips, Turmeric 400 mg/95% curcumin (that's how the label shows it). The Turmeric and Vitamin C are taken for their anti-inflammatory properties. The last ingredient, which I believe might be the most important is MSM lotion (contains 15% MSM). I applied this lotion on the area around every 2 hours. MSM is a good natural painkiller and also works well against different muscular problems and inflammation. I noticed a remarkable decrease in pain a couple hours after applying the MSM lotion the first time, and believe that is the main cause of the decrease. I was unable to do this treatment for the first 5 hours of the tendonitis because of work, otherwise it might have been gone in 24 hours.
Feel free to contact me. The email address is a remailer that will forward messages to my email address."
Replies02/27/2009: Irene from Mount Vernon, WA replies: "Hi, I read your remedy for tendinitis, but what is that MSM you mention?"
