Treatment of pseudomonas oryzihabitans includes directive treatment to eliminate the bacteria and treat side effects of infection. A number of different supplements offer support to the system and treat the conditions caused by the bacteria. These supplements include alkalizing compounds as well as antibacterial components.
What is Pseudomonas Oryzihabitans?
Pseudomonas oryzihabitans is a specific strain of bacteria that causes a variety of illnesses in people. The bacterium can be described as non-fermenting, gram-negative and rod-shaped. Sepsis, peritonitis, endophthalmitis and bacteremia are common conditions caused by the pathogen.
The bacterium is considered an opportunistic pathogen of humans and warm-blooded animals as the bacteria typically infects individuals with current illnesses or those who are undergoing surgery. The symptoms of infection mimic those of other illnesses and diseases, making the infection difficult to diagnose. Some symptoms include chills, elevated temperature, nasal discharge, facial pain and fever.
Natural Remedies for Bacteria
Treating pseudomonas includes options that alkalize the body and eliminate infection. Alkalization of the body disrupts the bacteria’s natural environment, which then allows the compound to be eliminated. Effective treatments for this bacterium include apple cider vinegar, iodine, grapefruit seed extract and a variety of others.
Apple Cider Vinegar
Apple cider functions as a treatment in a variety of ways. Apple cider vinegar is an acidic compound that actually works to make the body more alkaline, which in turn makes the body an unsuitable environment for the bacterium. Apple cider vinegar also delivers a number of vitamins and minerals to the body to boost the immune system.
Iodine is another alkalizing substance. Taken in small doses, iodine alkalizes the body, making it uninhabitable for these and other pathogens.
Grapefruit Seed Extract
Grapefruit seed extract is a natural anti-inflammatory and antibacterial substance. As such, this compound functions to eliminate the bacteria and reduce any inflammation present. The extract also supports overall immune health.
Pseudomonas oryzihabitans is a specific strain of bacteria that causes a wide range of illnesses in people. Natural treatments, however, function to make the body uninhabitable by the bacteria and to treat infection associated with the pathogen.
10/25/2011: Sandra from Orlando, Fl: "My mom has been having recurrent pseudonomas infection in her sinuses (respiratory tract). She's had multiple antibiotics including Levaquin, Tobramycin, Bactrim, and many more and the last treatment was thru her IV for 14 days. When she was done the following day she had the same symptoms of the infection. The fever did go away but she still has the cough and the mucus coming out as before. She is a cancer patient for 7 years now and in remission for a year but I believe her immune system is weak and that's why she is getting recurrent infection. Please advise on anything that might help her. I've started her this morning on ACV 3x day with 2TBS in warm water. Anything else would be so much appreciated. We are desperate and don't know what to do anymore. Her oncologist wants her to go to the hospital next week and stay in until they clear her from the infection but I don't really want her to go because I am afraid she'll attract some other ilness. Please HELP!!!"Replies

Apparently a lack of phosphate can be a factor. I do not know much about it but it has been found that some folk who have surgery become low in phosphate which appears to allow the pseudonomas to grow. Here is some reading on it. http://www.upi.com/Science_News/2009/04/13/Lack-of-phosphate-causes-bacteria-to-kill/UPI-70441239654902/ http://www.microbemagazine.org/index.php/11-2009-current-topics/1034-low-phosphate-triggers-reversible-virulence-in-pseudomonas
The following are what I think may be worthwhile looking into (you can do a search for each also add the word pseudonomas):
Grapefruit Seed Extract.
Raw honey. Although they talk about medical honey plain old local raw honey has been used since I don't know when. Also manuka honey with the umf of 10 or higher is good. The following is mostly about skin infections. http://www.bfactory.nl/artikelen/2008 Kwakman et al in CID.pdf
Oil of Oregano. http://www.diagnose-me.com/treat/T223028.html
Whatever you choose to use after your research I would start with low doses first. All the best."
08/23/2010: Julian from Toronto, Ontario, Canada: "Dear Earth Clinic,
Firstly congratulations on the site I love it! I was however disappointed to not find much info on STD's for men. Through my search I have found that there are many men who have antibiotic resistant Urethritis and are looking for help. I myself was diagnosed with "Ureaplasma" and have tried several treatments with partial success but no definitive cure. It's been now several months that I have a burning sensation when urinating. I was wondering if you could maybe open a section for this discussion on the site and maybe give me some advice on what the best treatment I should be look at for "Ureaplasma"... Thank you very much!"
07/20/2010: R. from Los Angeles, Ca: "Hi, I know that you have someone really smart there. I'm in trouble and need all of the help that I can get at this point. Alter first being exposed to my mother's sick cats almost 5 years ago, and progressively having health problems, I was re exposed last summer and finally diagnosed when it can out of my skin. I am grateful to at least know what is wrong with me. Pseudomonas oryzihabitans
The only western pharmaceutical medication would cost 12K and I don't have it. It doesn't actually kills this bacteria, but inhibits it. It is also antibiotic resistant. Levaquin doesn't work. I have been taking Napol Cactus capsules to fight the infection long term, and Organic Apple Cider Vinegar in water to inhibit it. I am still very sick. I really don't know who else to turn to."
07/22/2010: Labes from Toronto, Ontario, Canada replies: "Dear R.,
If you can afford an ozonator, start ozonating olive oil (15 to 20 min) daily and drinking it and rub it on the infected site. Also take at least 3 times/ day solution of ionic silver. You can take also caprylic acid 2 time a day. Immune boosters that will be of great help for your immune system are: VitD 1000 IU, Zinc, Magnesium, Selenium. Hope that will help you."
07/23/2010: Tom from Regina, Sk replies: "For a systemic bactericide, especially on price, you can't beat Iodine, ingested in the form of drops of LUGOLS solution (you can hide the taste easily by just dropping it into a few ounces of orange or grapefruit juice). In the USA, you are still allowed 1 30-ml bottle of original 5% LUGOLS per person per purchase since 2007.
Iodine is naturally alkalizing to the body, so that is an automatic side benefit when trying to make the body's terrain unfriendly and unhabitable for pathogens.
This leads into the 2nd choice, which is simply buy some fresh lemons, or cheaper yet buy the concentrated juice, preferably organic (about $5 for a 500 ml bottle which has the equivalent of about 15-18 lemons). Just mix up 2 or 3 tbsp juice in 6-10 oz water several times throughout the day and you'll re-alkalize in days! 3nd choice would be try some colloidal silver solution drops for a few weeks (may need enough of a dosage such that it's more like 1/2 tsp or whatever). Again, quite cheap, but for the cost of a few 8-oz bt in a store, you could buy or even make a colloidal silver electronic kit generator. Look for at least 10 ppm parts per million on the label. 4th choice would be to buy either the solid tablet form or liquid fulvic form of trace minerals. This one could cost several dollars per day, but only in the corrective phase (a few weeks to a month), and much less in the maintenance dose phase. They are highly alkalizing, and most people with a modern 'western' diet are severely deficient in them anyway!"
