Autoimmune Hepatitis
"Anomalous presentation of human leukocyte antigen (HLA) class II on the surface of hepatocytes, possibly due to genetic predisposition or acute liver infection; causes a cell-mediated immune response against the body's own liver, resulting in autoimmune hepatitis.
Autoimmune hepatitis has an incidence of 1-2 per 100,000 per year, and a prevalence of 10-20/100,000. As with most other autoimmune diseases, it affects women much more often than men (70%). Liver enzymes are elevated, as may be bilirubin. Autoimmune hepatitis can progress to cirrhosis."

11/21/2009: Gautami from Chennai, Tamil Nadu, Country: "Elevated AST and ALT after autoimmune hepatitis
Thank you very much for doing a very good service to people in suffering.I am suffering from autoimmune hepatitis. When this was diagnosed my AST, Alkaline Phosphatase and ALT levels were 1300 . I am on prednisone for the past three months. I saw a post on aspirin therapy in Earthclinic and completed that remedy also to cure any other bacterial cause for this. In spite of these measures, My Gama GT continues to be elevated (1000 ). Alkaline Phosphatase level started coming down but stays steady at 330. The Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C etc have been ruled out. MRI does not show any problem as per the doctors. There no obstructions.
Is there any other natural remedy I can try for my condition?
Thanks and regards
Gautami"

11/01/2009: Ted from Bangkok, Thailand replies: "High liver enzymes is a common problem of high bacteria count in the body where the body cannot effectively reduce their numbers. Most bacteria in fact can be digested with a simple aspirin. If a person doesn't have problems with aspirin (Reyes Syndrome), the dose is 500 mg of aspirin dissoved in a 1/2 cup of water taken at 50 minute intervals for a total of four doses. It's a one day cure I used effectively against a chlamydia that resists all kinds of antibiotics, but does an excellent job against the swine flu, dengue fever to boot - all one day cures for me, at least.If autoimmunity is a viral condition we need a separate remedy. The Shilajit humic acid. Or just humates.
Ted
P.S. Yes, aspirin digests the bacteria. Aspirin also digest the virus. Makes for very good antibiotics where these pathogen have no resistance! The secret is the hourly dose:
500 mg for adult 120 pound dose;
a 7 year old requires 250 mg.
It's very exacting or it doesnt work.50 minutes to 1 hourly dose.
4 doses..one day cure.A lot better than mandatory vaccinations"
03/14/2011: Elaine from Edmond, Oklahoma, Usa replies: "My liver enzymes AST was 60 and my ALT was 77. A little high. I have a nonalcoholic fatty liver. I saw the aspirin cure and was concerned about one thing. Aspirin is a blood thinner. Would this be a problem if I were to be in an accident or cut myself? If I stay home while I do this, how long should I wait before I go out? What kind of a controlled situation should I be under?"
03/14/2011: Kenny from Monroe, Nj, Usa replies: "Please check out the herbs phyllanthus niruri, boerhaavia diffusa and picorhiza kurroa. Used in India for thousands of years for all types of kidney and liver problems even today. It does bring the counts down quickly."
03/16/2011: Elaine from Edmond, Oklahoma, Usa replies: "Thank you, Kenny. I will go to the Asian market and see if they have these herbs there. I do have hyperparathyroid which effects the kidneys. Hopefully, this may kill two birds...."
