Amazing Health Benefits of Fresh Wheatgrass Juice

Fresh Vs Powdered

Hello and thank you for this great site! I was wondering if using powdered wheatgrass (instead of the grass itself) will give as good results. I am interested in using to improve my overall skin condition. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Yes Sue, wheat grass powder breaks down the plant so you have more access to the vitamins and minerals. Wheatgrass Juice powder is even better as the cell walls themselves have been opened and the nutrition simply absorbs into the blood in seconds.

Make sure it is organic. Make sure the company grows it outdoors. There are many things that can go wrong growing wheatgrass, but there are wheatgrass juice powders that are phenomenally wonderful, do not give you these reactions mentioned by Kim below and are grown in more natural conditions.

When grown in flats you sometimes get more sugars and less vitamins and minerals, some molds or fungus depending on air circulation etc. Generally where the nausea and diarrhea come from that people mention. also if it doesn't taste like a cross between broccoli, asparagus and spinach then it's not being grown correctly.

A good book is, "The Miracles of Wheatgrass" by Ann Wigmore".

I could never go through the trouble of growing it unless I did so on a farm in mass amounts. Otherwise I simply buy a bottle of freeze dried wheatgrass juice and I'm off to the races.

The Wheatgrass Juice Powder, depending on who and where you purchase it from, can be so close to the fresh that there is very little lost. The most effective to date method of powdering is freeze drying. There is a distinct difference between wheatgrass powder and wheatgrass JUICE powder. I'm talking about the Juice.
