I've tried it four different times; it really works. I hate tomatoes, but this taste pretty good, like spicy soup. I've spent a small fortune on over the counter medications that usually didn't work as advertised. Try it, if it doesn't work, well you drank something that is healthy for you.

Yesterday I had been suffering from an acute sinus infection for at least two weeks. I finally decided to go online to see if there was such a thing as a "natural" cure. I found this site after I did a search and was interested in what I read about a simple but skeptical sounding "cure" for it called Tomato Tea. Normally I can not stand anything remotely similar to the taste of tomato soup, but after suffering for what seemed like forever, I was willing to try anything! So I copied down the ingredients, went to the store to get the exact ingredients, and went home to make it. I used a garlic press to crush the garlic, I found that it took about two to three cloves to equal a teaspoon. And I used a whole teaspoon of hot sauce, I used Texas Pete. And heated it up after adding the other ingredients. I was amazed at how tasty it actually was. (I guess the fresh garlic made a difference in the taste.) After about an hour after consuming the "Tea", I noticed that FINALLY my sinus were draining, and I was able to clear out the infected mucus. Today, I made another glass and am happy to say that after a long time of suffering, I am on the quick road to recovery. Thanks to the wonderful person who suggested this cure! Sincerely, Margaret.

Worked better than any of the OTC drugs I have taken. I have had this congestion for two weeks. I just made my first tomato tea and drank it. This is the most relief I've had since I became sick. Pretty amazing.

Hi, I have suffered for years with chronic Sinus disorder. For a long time I've been using Goldenseal root, which works great if you use it at the first sign of a sinus attack/flare up. I wasn't able to catch this last one in time, and I'm very near to having an infection. The last time I had an infection I tried the apple vinegar in water, which didn't help for more then a few minutes This time I tried the Tomato tea. I didn't have any juice at 1:00 AM so I tried tomato soup. Added the garlic in powder form. Within a half hour my nose stopped running (the bad kind of running, when you lean over and it pours all over the floor), my throat stopped being scratchy, my face stopped being itchy and the post nasal drip down my throat stopped. I was able to sleep. The symptoms didn't come back for about four or five hours! When the symptoms came back they came back 100%. This time I bought some of the tomato juice and tobacco sauce. Something about the tobacco sauce made the tea work faster, within minutes my symptoms were gone! I'll swear by this remedy.

This tasted fantastic. 20 minutes after drinking my sinus really feels like it's starting to drain. I suggest drinking it with as much hot sauce as you can handle.

I had the flu for 10 days as did everyone in my house, but when they got better I was still sick. I have had a sinus infection before and am pretty sure that's what I have. Today is the beginning of week 3 of being sick and after taking every OTC for sinuses known to man (ok not EVERY but that's what it feels like) I started desperately searching the internet. I was skeptical about the Tomato Tea remedy but figured it couldn't be any worse than green-death-flavor NyQuil. I am so glad to say that I CAN BREATHE and I might actually get some sleep tonight. Thank you so much. I put this in my recipe box for next time!

Tomato tea cured my blocked nose and headache. I had made onion, leek and garlic soup before which worked but so did the tomato tea in fact when I whizzed the mixture in the pan - whatever ingredients are in the tabasco sauce vaporized and cleared all nasals in the kitchen. Thanks.

I tried the Tomato Tea after reading about it here. I was so congested that I was unable to sleep, it was also making it difficult to eat. I was a mess. I tried the Tomato Tea as a last resort, I wish I had tried it first. I drank the first cup and had no results, then I had a second about 2 hours later. The result was not instant, but within about 2 more hours I was completely clear. To be honest I was amazed it worked so well, and to top it off it tasted like thick tomato soup, which was pretty nice. Thanks for this recipe!!!

Wow thank you for this tea! I am pregnant and trying to stay away from medicine. I haven't even finished drinking it and the swelling in my throat has gone down so much and I can breathe through both nostrils! I suggest using as much hot sauce as you can handle... so far no heartburn.

I have been suffering from a sinus infection for the last 4 days... I had been using Afrin to open my sinuses and it worked but it always hurts and it only lasts for a couple of hours... I drank the juice around 1:00 and it opened my sinuses right away I still feel good and it tasted really good to me :)... I will be drinking some more of that today!

I was extremely skeptical about this since I have been suffering from a chronic sinus infection for over 2 months. I had in the past taken multiple doses of antibiotics with only moderate results. My health plan recently changed, so I figured I would give this a try before paying much more to go to the doctors. I picked up the ingredients, and tried Tabasco sauce as the hot sauce. I warmed it in the microwave for 1 minute. It smelled absolutely terrible, and the taste was not great. I could stomach it, but it was like taking shots of alcohol... you had to take a deep breath and slam as much as possible and hold it down. I didn't even finish the whole thing, but I finished 80% of it. Within an hour, and still, hours later, my sinuses are clearing up! My throat is sore from all the draining, but this cure definitely worked! I will try a second round tonight. Despite the terrible smell, and slightly less terrible taste, it was well worth it to finally get this cleared up, and for only $8 worth of ingredients! Thanks for the recipe!
