You can purchase Scobies/Mushrooms on Ebay I think. Other than that google it and there are many suppliers! It is one of the keys to BETTER HEALTH, NUTRITION is the other end of the spectrum, think bone broth soups/stews, bottoms up!

Where can I get Kombucha in Bangkok? We used to make and drink it regularly but the culture eventually died out...

Hello
I've not checked out these yet - but I've Googled 2 sources for Kombucha tea in Bangkok.
1. There's a vegetarian cafe near the Khao San Rd that says it brews its own Kombucha tea, tempeh and kefir. http://www.ethosnet.biz/
Ethos cafe 02 280 7549
2. Also a lady called Barbara Kay sells the Kombucha tea she makes - [email protected].
I will be checking them out...

Just to confirm I bought some delicious 1l bottles of Kombucha Tea at the Ethos Cafe today in Khao San area of Bangkok. It is behind Burger King in Danao Road... in a little side alley.
They have a variety of flavours - including Rooibos, a Thai one (with lemongrass and galangal) and one with cloves and cinnamon. They brew it themselves - each bottle costs 200B. Or you can try a glass there which I think is 60B.

If you ever visit Chiang Mai then you should definitely try the organic kombucha of Cha Mama. Truly delicious and they have more than 5 flavors.
They might even send a SCOBY for people who want to brew at home?
