I would just like to quick add that yes Apple Cider Vinegar does really seem to help some people, it is soooo the opposite for me. *It is not one size fits all! * In my home 2 of us do NOT handle Apple Cider Vinegar well & the other 2 of us are fine & helped. Just because you, your relative, or your neighbor has success with Apple Cider Vinegar does not mean that all others will. FYI ours is the organic kind, in a glass bottle, & of course with the "mother". Also worth noting, Apple Cider Vinegar was bad for the health of one our black labs, but our other lab is perfectly fine with it. ---My negative reactions (that I am aware of) are as follows: my mineral count gets all messed up, my PH actually drops pretty badly, my body temp drops significantly, joints get very painful, general unwell feeling, can be constipating, & some serious tummy/gut pain. It is a shame, because I want it to help with x/y/z, but I wind up worse.

I have the same exact problem. I have been taking ACV for a while now for the health benefits and everything I read on it, but now I have issues swallowing certain foods. Not red meat necessarily but I can relate with the rice part. I also have issues these days with meats or anything that is somewhat dry in substance. I went to the gastroenterologist and they requested I do a swallow rest, which of course came back incocnclusive. I'm waiting on the next steps but they are trying to tell me I have GERD. I still feel that the only correlation I can see is the ACV and now seeing someone else with a similar issue makes me wonder. Let me know if you have come to a resolution of some kind on this.
Thanks

I'm so glad to have seen this. I downloaded a recipe from Pinterest that called for 2TBSP of ACV per glass of water and advised to drink every day.
After one week I started feeling dizzy, heart palpitations, and shortness of breath. I got so nervous I even went to the ER. When they couldn't find anything wrong I did my research and saw this post along with others regarding ACC side effects. I've stopped drinking it and understand it will take about 7-10 days to get this stuff out of my system.
So much for this amazing home remedy!

Try switching shampoos they have lots of hormones in them... I went to baby shampoo to test it... and all this time it's really the shampoos that cause breakouts in my case.....

I doubt that BPV is brought on by Taking apple cider vinegar. If you were diagnised correctly - You may have bumped your head somehow to cause the crystals to move out of their correct place. My husband got BPV from trying to get the water out of his ear after showering by hitting the side of his head repeatedly. BPV can be fixed by special manouvers that get the crystals back into place. There are videos on you tube that show you how to do it.

WE need hydrochloric acid in the stomach for optimum digestion. .As we age, the acid diminishes and digestion is impaired, which gives rise to a host of illnesses. Apple cider vinegar helps to increase the acid and this enables proper digestion. Vitamins like the b-complex, specially the b8 and the b12 can only be absorbed if the proper amounts of HCL are present. Some of us might experience sensitive teeth or burning throat from drinking the vinegar. Dilute it or use the pills.
and b12

Two weeks ago I was diagnosed with calcium deposits in my shoulders. I began using apple cider vinegar to resolve the crystals. Yesterday I suddenly became extremely dizzy and went to the hospital. I was told I had benign positional vertigo. Could the apple cider vinegar have released crystals in my ear?

Finally I have found an explanation. Had been having Acv in salad dressings but r centky started Keto way if eating and bought supplements and Acv. Took supplements and then drank half a pint of water with half a tablespoon of Acv. Suddenly had this weird feeling and panic attack - felt like low blood sugar or low blood pressure. Thought it was maybe interaction with the supplements so cut the supplements and next day had a few drops with avocado and boom - heart racing - heart rate up - panic attack - no more Acv for me.

I am also in menopause. I started using it a year ago because I read it was a toxin cleanser because I had fibroids. I was taking it in the day and at night. I did not know it was a blood thinner. I guess that explains why I was bleeding heavier than ever. I don't think I will continue to use it. I will just find something over the counter for fibroids at Walmart. I also have experienced weight loss when I go to the doctor. I sure don't need to lose weight. I knew it had a lot of good effects but I see it has side effects as well. Just be careful how much you take. I diluted mine in alot of water.

Don't use Heinz brand!!! The only brands you should ingest are the natural brands with the MOTHER in it. That is the stuff in the bottom of the jar. This is the stuff that helps the most. Make sure it is shaken well.

It sounds your body was going through a detox period. It gets bad before the healing comes. You should start it again and push through it.
Posted by Sarah (Canada) on 11/18/2017
Yeah, had this happen to me too. Does anybody have any suggestions??
Posted by Anon (Usa) on 10/24/2017

I have been upping my probiotics. I use about one bottle of kombucha (which I adore) ever other day and varying amounts of raw ACV (which I also like). I have been getting hives whenever I use them now. Hives doesn't seem like a common detox reaction. My scalp is especially affected, my waist, and then just spots here and there. I have had dandruff and itchy oily scalp for years. Recently I tried a different shampoo which appears to have eliminated the dandruff and oil. It isn't even a dandruff shampoo. I like using ACV in place of soap in the shower and to condition my hair.

After using ACV for six weeks, twice a day I mixed a teaspoon with soda water and really enjoyed it. I lost weight as I was not as hungry but I did develop itchy rash on my torso and worse, bleeding from the bowel and increased vaginal bleeds. I'm hoping now I've stopped the ACV, the bleeding will also stop as my HB levels are now quite low and doctors are concerned. Scopes to follow.

While I was surfing about ACV, I also read that it lowers blood pressure. Maybe, the headaches are due to that. I had bit of headache too but I started taking remedies like consume a bit of salt, coffee and its fine. Headaches are stronger when I take ACV empty stomach as there is more chance for blood pressure drop.

I fight candida and actually have lyme manifested as Rheumatoid Arthiritis. It seems like ACV is a remedy that covers so much. I am right now using it get my Fall allergies under control, which are causing a lot of mucus and coughing and lack of oxygen. The dose I was given to take each time is 1 TBS 4 times daily. Your dose seems very high. You have to dilute even 1 TBS because it is do acidic. I also just read that it can take magnesium and potassium from your body. That could cause problems with arthritis if you don't boost your magnesium. Magnesium is necessary to make calcium balance and absorb.
Posted by Mwangi (Nyeri, Kenya) on 08/27/2017
It's possible that ACV is only bringing out the yeast that is already in your system---healing crisis---that manifests itself as an infection.

Apple Cider Vinegar
I have been taking about 1 tablespoonful with lemon and (occasionally honey), warm water and a little grape juice in the morning. Always feel well with it. However recently I got overly keen and applied it straight to my hair/scalp, no water, and left on for hours. Not a good idea I think.
I have begun losing hair each time I brush/comb and never used to do so. After 6 weeks hair feels quite thin and very itchy on the scalp at the back. This might be a detox reaction so not too worried about that.
I am going to stop for a month to gauge reactions and if I continue to consume I shall take much smaller amounts. Otherwise generally healthy for my age. Did anybody else notice any hair loss directly attributable to ACV?
Posted by Susan (Illinois) on 08/18/2017

Had the same thing happened to me. And I am in menopause.
Posted by Charity (Faithville, Usa) on 08/18/2017
When you use it it starts to fight the yeast in your body, so it causes outbreaks. I get yeast infections when I detox or eat too much kefir or any other good thing. Yeast is a large battle to fight. I am not fighting mine anymore. I am just slowly bringing my health back and good microbes and Ph balance. Keep on the healthy track but go slow and low dose.

Gypsylady, might lemon juice do?

I love Apple Cider Vinegar but it doesn't love me. Every time I try it, I get a yeast infection. I read in one of my health books that some people with Candida can NEVER use ACV. Is there any way to overcome this?? I feel better when I drink it and need it for digestion.
Thank you!! Love earth clinic!!!!

Try turmeric in coconut milk with a little black pepper for absorption. I also add cinnamon and stevia. Some like to heat it a little but it works cold, too. When I get stressed, the reflux can appear. By taking even just 2 oz of this Golden Milk, as it is called in India, the problem is gone, all is quiet, and I can sleep.

Too acidic, I found I could take it for a week, a teaspoon in water and after that it didn't agree with me.

Karne, start low and slow! 1 teaspoon daily is enough of a start.

Hi I have just started yesterday taking ACV 1 teaspoon in 8oz water (using lemon squash to hide the taste) drank 3 times before each meal and noticed a very full feeling and did not want to eat between meals immediately.... today had first thing ate small banana and 2 hrs later had 0% fat greek yog with some granola but could not finish it felt stuffed.... but then also started to notice taste in my saliva? is 3 times a day 1 teaspoon too much? Has anyone had same effect?
Posted by Smith (Canada) on 07/03/2017
It absolutely can be an allergic reaction. If you do some research, it will say its known to cause itching and allergies.
Anybody can be allergic to anything so to tell you it's not possible is silly.

Hi Earth clinic,
I wanted to check with you about my intake of ACV which has been going for last 6 months, but I have lately got the pityriasis rosea rashes on my torso/stomach/ribs/back area.
Are they both interlinked i.e., can taking ACV cause these rashes with PR, should I be worried off? also can I still continue taking the ACV and would this worsen the rashes count .
Thank you,
Sid

Your comments about adverse side effects of ACV are similar to my experiences. I started taking 1 Tsp ACV in 8 oz. Hot water daily for arthritis pains about 2 wks go. I now have acne on my chin that seems to be spreading. I've also had stomach bloating and maybe a little weight gain. God help us.

I tried Apple Cider Vinegar for the fungus in under my thumb nail and I started having cramps, stinky gas, and intolerance to ice cream and chocolate. Never had these problems before. Stopped drinking it and I'm back to my self again.

I would love to know, when taking Apple Cider Vinegar shots straight, could it cause a rash, of the toxins coming out of my body?
Posted by Leanne (Brisbane, Qld) on 11/16/2016

Has anyone experienced prickling? For 6 weeks I took 1 tbs Apple Cider Vinegar in a glass of water in the morning to cure my acid reflux...which it did 100% and no reactions. Then suddenly after the 6 weeks I started getting itchy on my chest and a rash up my neck (like I do sometimes with certain wines) and now have pricking all over. I was feeling fabulous taking the ACV and so I tried only taking it every second day but with the same symptoms to then just a tsp in a glass of water but still no difference. I have stopped taking the ACV for the past 3 days and the prickling is almost gone....I really want to continue taking it but not sure if it's a good idea if it turns out I'm allergic to it?

Take the "tablet" form of ACV; is my preferred method.
Posted by May (Wisconsin) on 11/04/2016
Do you dilute the vinegar before drinking it through a straw? You could try apple cider vinegar capsules available online or in the healthfood store.

I love how taking ACV makes me feel but ACV really makes my teeth sensitive. I tried 1 tsp a day through a straw and couldn't bare the sensitivity. How can I get it down without touching teeth?

I know this is coming quite late, but better late than never, eh?! I tried Edgar Cayce's exercises for hemorrhoids; I did follow them to the T, and I mean three(3) times a day, one(1) hour after breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I did this for about two months: That was all that was needed, and it is been already a few years since then! Hemorrhoids are now things of the past. If a bit comes out by any chance, I just push it in. I also drink tons of water, though. Good luck!

This is about the individuals that are having reactions to honey. If you buy honey in your local grocery store you may be getting honey that comes two or three foreign countries blended together. Always read the labels. Here is another thing about honey. Some of the honey comes from plants that are genetically altered. Why should that be a problem? Well the bees collect the pollen from these genetically altered plants and bring at back to the hive and it is made into honey. That kind of causes people to have allergic reactions. If the honey is local honey it may not be a problem depending if the bees are getting their pollen from plants that are genetically altered or not. Genetically altered plants are not recognized by your body and that honey is not recognized either. I got a hold of some local honey once that was from Mesquite trees. The Trees/bushes have flowers. Fortunately these are not genetically altered and probably won't be/bee.

Yes, that's it-Herxheimer Die-Off Reaction. or possibly "Healing Crisis".
Does that fit my situation and could you describe it for me please. Is there anything on your site that describes it?
I meant ACVinegar (not ACC) sorry about that typing slippage. Thanks

To Dear E.C.
I am feeling a little nauseous after upping my dosages of BSM, ACC, Bicarbonate of Soda and Coconut Oil (separately) for arthritis. I feel as if my kidneys are under pressure, though I have no history of kidney problems and my recent blood tests were fine. It could be an arthritis flare up or a "Healing Crisis" (I forget the term R_____(?)) I suppose but how would I tell the difference?
Not sure whether to back track or persevere! Thanks.
EC: We think you mean Herxheimer Die-Off Reaction

I read some information about ACV and it's positive effect on candida growth so I thought I would give it a try. After trying it twice a day (one tablespoon to 8 oz of water) for four days, I gave up. It was making me sick. I was having heartburn and feeling generally unwell and tired. I usually wake up in the morning with energy but instead I am dragging myself out of bed and struggling through the day. I just don't understand why it affects me this way but I am done!
Posted by Mmsg (Somewhere, Europe) on 11/05/2015
Sky, if you see it's helping you in other areas, why don't you reduce your dosage until you find a no-headache dose.

Rinsing mouth with diluted Grapefruitseed extract and swallowing gets rid of canker sores really quickly.
