One day I noticed my kidneys were hurting ran to the dr, they figured out that four months ago I had a bladder infection but the forgot to call me and let know big mistake! Anyhow it had progressed into kidney infection. They prescribed antibiotics , and I started drinking 1/4 tsp baking soda in half glass of water every other hour... and the pain was disapperaing! Plus a taking hot bath in 1 capful each of Eucalyptus and Sandlewood oil helped a lot too.

I have had kidney infection in both kidneys for at least 6 months. I have tried EVERYTHING I can think of - except cranberry - I am allergic to that. But I have been doing blueberry. I have been on multiple rounds of different antibiotics - which worked while I was on them but the infection would always return within two days to a week after I finished the antibiotic. Two nights ago, I had the worst kidney pain yet. I had read on EC about using baking soda for kidney infection but was always afraid to try. But in the wee hours of the morning, I finally gave in and mixed 1/2 tsp. Baking soda in 8 oz. of water. I did not like the taste. The pain did not go away but I went to bed and slept very well. The kidney pain was still there in the morning and I did a dipstick test and sure enough, the infection was pretty bad - the urine looked the worst I have ever seen it, although there were no nitrites.

However, there was something in that urine I had never seen before - a small amount of sediment! I booked an appt. for a urine test at the dr's a few hours later. To my utter amazement, the dr's test came back negative! I still had the pain, but I attribute it to the fact that I am pretty sure I have yeast that affects my kidneys and this was detox. I have had that before when I soak my feet in hydrogen peroxide and water (1 cup H2O2 to a gal. of water).

As I write, it is the next morning and I still have mild but decreasing kidney pain, but the best part is, my urine is clear as can be and I have not seen such a good dipstick test when not on antibiotics, since I started the dipstick tests 6 months ago. I only took one drink of baking soda and water.

I gave a kidney in 2005 and the skin dehisced. The intestine protrudes and after 2 years I started having focused pain in that area. I could feel it doctors can't even tell me for now. well the pain expanded from that part of the colon towards the sigmoid area and boy does that pain gyrate. so get this friend of mine sez i'm the key to a new prespective. his curiousity erked him. i became a guinea pig. through his studies he determined baking soda helps the digestive tract but to what extent. That's where i came in. my pain has been so chronic for the last three consecutive months. he said take it it accordingly and see what happens.

Well, I did, and in 15 minutes, all my pain was going away in 1 hour all gone. but that determined that i have an infection. now he sez if i get myself on a regime i can eradicate the vermin in due time and get back to normal. I tell you this much. bacteria can really screw you up bad.
