I just tried AVC for the first time and it actually is quite the miracle... I feel lots of energy just from the first drink! And I actually think it tastes pretty good... 2 teaspoons of apple cider vinegar 1/2 tspn of cayenne pepper 1/2 lemon juice 2 tspns of maple syrup I was not actually expecting to find this today or this website... while I couldn't go to school today from horrible heartburn and this remedy actually helps if you ever get heartburn!

Hi Karen, My mother occasionally experiences the same heartburn discomfort after taking ACV. She can't take it on an empty stomach and has to sip it slowly. She does take it every morning after breakfast diluted in 16 oz of filtered water. In regards to lowering blood pressure, she's had wonderful success with cayenne pepper. Do a search on Dr. Richard Schultz for lots more info. My Mom's doctor reduced her blood pressure med in half several months ago and my Mom hopes to be able to stop completely when she goes back in for her checkup in a couple of months. Besides eating well and taking the ACV and cayenne, she walks several miles 3 - 4 times a week.

I tried papaya enzyme for heartburn and it works. I wouldn't make a habit of eating it all the time though. Maybe you can take a different heartburn remedy at a time.

Mustard

A teaspoon or two, or packet of mustard cures Heartburn. Burns like hell for a minute, but works wonders. Do not drink or eat anything for about 10 minutes or so. Zantac costs too much, chewable antacids give me a dry mouth, so I was turned on to trying mustard by a friend of mine. I don't know how it works, but it does.

Mustard, regular prepared mustard that goes on a hotdog or sandwich quickly and completely cured intolerable acid reflux and heartburn. My husband told me to try it, so I swallowed a good tablespoon each time the reflux and heartburn came for a few days. It has been well over 6 years since and' I have never had acid reflux or hearburn again. Mustard works amazingly.

ACV and Baking Soda

I was having burning and have long suffered with heartburn. I tried the ACV, baking soda and honey last night and it did feel much better. This morning I had a second dose - this time with the organic cider vinegar - but I immediately had the "runs" -. I am wondering' if I should cut back to one tablespoon of ACV since constipation has never been one of my problems - just the opposite. The burning feels a bit better and I am belching a lot but I wonder if I should limit dosage?

Celery

I love this website! I was looking for a remedy for a sore throat, and found your page. I wanted to let you know of a cure for heartburn that works every time! It's faster and much better for you than the medications you can buy. Celery. I didn't believe it would work until I tried it myself, and now everytime I get heartburn, that's how I cure it. It only takes a little bit, usually half a stalk. If it comes back, I eat more. If it's really bad, I'll eat a whole stalk. Great cure and I wanted to share it with your readers. Thanks for a terrific website

I had been suffering with severe heartburn for hours and after eating a few bites of celery, per a suggestion on your site, it went away, immediately! This post was super helpful as I find raw celery to be repulsive and never would have known it worked for heartburn. I had probably eaten at least 6 antacid tablets to no avail. Thanks for the wonderful information!

Milk

I have had acid reflux for about 7 years now mine is chronic so it'll never go away, but I found that if you have really bad heartburn drink a COLD glass of milk and it'll sooth the pain. If it doesn't go away after one glass get another and keep doing this process until your heartburn dies down.

I noticed a couple of swallows of milk will always relieve my heartburn. I thought everyone knew that milk was good for burning sensations in the mouth and throat, but it seems that is not so. Milk also works much better then water on stopping the burning sensaton from hot sauce.

Baking Soda

Every time I get heartburn I always put a teaspoon of baking soda in about 3 ounces of warm water and chug it down. Gets rid of it every time. My grandmother taught me this.

Eating a handful of raw almonds stops GERD dead in its tracks. My daughter ate almonds throughout her pregnancy whenever heartburn hit. It worked for her also.
