Proanthocyanidins

People with hypermobility EDS are high in MMPs (not sure underlying cause which might not be genetic). This creates weak ecm and leads to weak collagen due to "short chained HA" being created in a high MMP environment. Suggest researching with AI.

Anyways, my suggestion is to try cranberries or wild blueberries regularly as both are great sources of proanthocyanidins (PACs) - aka "condensed tannins", aka procyanidins.

These bind MMPs as do catechins and epicatechins in green tea (catechins and epicatechins are subunits of PACs, which are chains of these).

Recommend food and beverage natural quantities only, and regulars but don't pound, and don't mix too many at once. These MMPs are needed in our systems - people with hypermobility EDS just have too many.
