Burdock does many great things like purify the blood &; detox the liver. Highly recommend. If stress related, try GABA with inositol which is also calming. Don't listen to media news, it never changes & we can't change the world, only ourselves, which is where meditation helps.
Thanx Robert for the Ancient Wisdom. Here in Ky I have volunteer Dandelions always but now have a Yellowdock grown mature & flowering at my back door and can't wait to harvest and give thanks to the gods for the gift. So, Burdock, Yellowdock, and Dandelion are all good for the digestive & metabolic organs as gentle yet strong cleansers and loaded with the good nutrition that you won't find at the grocery store.
With any luck I will get the worst of diseases behind me and able to get out, once again, and harvest the natural bounty here in Ky.
I know this is an old post but in this day and age, I thought it worth mentioning -
I've been haphazardly taking half droppers of 5 or 6 single herb and formula tinctures from my stash and noting the effects. During this last batch I was having intermittent feelings of quite noticeable ease and just plain unstressed "feel goodness" despite a general feeling of well-being and after an extended exploration and narrowing down of this last batch discovered it was the burdock root alcohol tincture which came as quite a surprise.
Apparently I wasn't as calm, cool and collected as I thought I was!
Am currently making glycerite and acid tinctures to see if it carries over from one menstruum to the others.
Very interesting. And interesting to discover it is also used for congested lymph channels, as I still have edema on my left foot and ankle that goes away when I sleep but reappears a couple hours after I get up. The congestion isn't gone but it IS shifting.
