Does Apple cider vinegar really lowers blood pressure? I doubt because my husband is taking it constantly for past 15 days. No effect at all. he is using Braggs Apple cider with mothers 2 tablespoons with raw and water twice a day.

Well I have to say ACV is the way to go to lower your HBP...It's the best thing ever! I got diagnose with Bp it was up setting for me. I had went for my annual check up tho my blood results were excellent my Dr. didn't understand how I got Hbp my reading was 165/100 now its 110/73 by just drinking Acv it's AMAZING it really works.. I'm not on any medication I go natural it's the best way to go tho you have to get use to the taste. You have to be consistent with it this is my secret. I drink it every morning b4 anything with 2Tablespoon of Acv, half a lemon w/ a 8oz warm water. I don't eat or drink anything after drinking it, So it can hit the bloodstream after an half an hour I do... Listen this really works and it's the best thing...You have to be consistent with it in order to see results..Trust me it works!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree with the idea of using raw, unfiltered vinegar. Anyone who believes that they can get good results with filtered, and bad results with unfiltered is either a liar or a rare exception.

I started out using the typical store vinegar in the jug. It constipated me so bad that I had blood in the stool. And I believe it is because that vinegar "cleans" your intestinal walls to the point of making it VERY difficult to pass anything through. This even sounds dangerous to me.

But since I began using the good stuff, I haven't had this problem. Now I will admit something that might get me flamed by certain vinegar advocates.

I was normally using the new Heinz raw vinegar that Walmart began carrying. And with good results. But I had heard of Braggs many times. I later realized that the Amish store down the road carries the Braggs. So I bought a bottle of that just to keep on hand. I decided to begin using that. And it seems like only a couple days after that I began feeling weird. Turns out my blood pressure was up. Now is this a coincidence? I have no idea. But I at least know the Heinz stuff works. And it even prevented an allergy infection my 6 yr old was trying to get.

I respectfully disagree. Actually, I couldn't disagree more.

Years ago, when I read about using ACV for my high blood pressure, I had some 'regular old' ACV in my cupboard, so I used it and it worked well.

After reading many testimonials here on EC (similar to yours, stating that using organic ACV vs. non-organic was "essential"), I bought and used the organic variety and it 'essentially' did nothing. My blood pressure was back up, full throttle.

When I returned to the regular old ACV, my blood pressure went back down again, and I've stayed with it ever since.

I have had great success also---in only 3 days -- using apple cider vinegar for high blood pressure.

I had been feeling very tired , weak and had a headache for several days. Actually, months! I usually take my blood pressure often because my mother and sister had high blood pressure controlled very poorly by medicine. I've been borderline for years. I finally got up the nerve to take it and was shocked to see it was 196/115. I never go to the doctor, but could see this was serious. It was on Thursday. I decided to try acv.

I drank 1 tbls with the juice of a lime in about a half cup of water. I did this 2 times on Thursday, but pressure still stayed above 190/105. I took the vinegar once yeasterday morning , did not take my pressure but still felt bad. This morning I took a dose, and an hour later took my pressure. I noticed I felt better. Pressure is 145/90. I am so happy. I will take my pressure daily now and continue drinking the Apple Cider Vinegar daily. I hope to see these numbers continue to drop to normal.

Thanks Earth Clinic!

I would say "ACV" is amazing. I was always in this thought that I ve "White Coat Syndrum" but it was not the reality so I was dignose with HBP(reading 160/100) in May. I want to try some natural remedies instead going on medication as I am taking medication for high cholesterol. I found this wonderful site of natrual remedies. I started taking ACV on Aug. 14 (this day I had Cardiac stress test and my BP was 165/110) within 4 days my BP is down to 133/88. Really I am surprised to see the results THanks to "Earthclinic"

How I take ACV? After reading almost every page on this topic, I choose take it like this:

3 tbls(0. 8 oz) of ACV and 1 tbls of Honey mix in
8-10 oz of warm water. I take it in the morning and bed time.

That s IT

I'm responding to the acv. I had the same success with my blood pressure. Someone said that their pressure went down within 45 mins. of taking the acv. I figured it was worth a shot, it's only acv. It went down in that time frame. I feel wonderful joint pain and knee pain even went away. It's been three years now. Thanks for sharing your hb pressure info. Thanks everyone. Thank you Earth Clinic.

I am a 67 years old female. I am on three bp medication a day. I take my blood pressure everyday and it averages between 127-145/77-82. I consider this high and try to monitor by taking Apple Cider Vinegar with honey.

It does help to lower it. When you are adding baking soda to it, I would say be careful. I have acid reflux and have to be careful about the intake of acidity. Never go off or change your medication because you feel better. There could be other underlining issues.

If you are on blood pressure medications, follow your doctor instructions and don't assume that ACV will do the trick. Be careful with self diagnosis.

I have heard of using apple cider vinegar (ACV) before but never tried it. Unfortunately I ran out of medicine and couldn't get a refill until I saw Dr. My Bp has been rising over last few weeks. On yesterday it was 160/100. I couldn't sleep I thought I might die. I prayed about natural remedies went online and saw this immediately went to get ACV.

This morning it was 157/96. At 5 144/90 I have taken apple cider vinegar twice today and now 137/78. This is lowest in 2 weeks. I am still going to Dr. But I thank GOD. I will continue my ACV.

My blood pressure was 199/100 when someone suggested I take ACV mixed in a large amount of water, thru a straw 3xs per day, which I did. Within a month, every one of my crowns fell off. Never had the problem before or since : ( Now I take over the counter meds (not happy about it) now as I am afraid of what else might happen. Very expensive lesson.
