Does Apple cider vinegar really lowers blood pressure? I doubt because my husband is taking it constantly for past 15 days. No effect at all. he is using Braggs Apple cider with mothers 2 tablespoons with raw and water twice a day.

My husband tried the apple cider vinegar 2x daily to lower his blood pressure. After 12 days, his pressure was the same. It didn't work for him.

Hi, I've been taking the organic ACV now for about a month. However, my blood pressure goes up and down. I'm taking Diovan, Bystolic & tekturma. Went to my dr today and it was 167/109. Now he's having a sonogram of my kidneys and referring me to a hypertenison specialist. I've changed my diet and riding my bike for 30-45 mins on some days and walking a mile on other days. What am I doing wrong here??? I'm really getting frustrated. I drink ACV 2-3 times a day without the honey. What else can I do???

Blog Readers

I must say that I am very disappointed in saying "No" to the ACV treatment for high blood pressure. The information was first given to me by my son, who has has seen a dramatic reduction of his HBP with the ACV with mother treatment. I have studied all the N/Yay's blogs on the subject hoping that it can prove to be a success for me.

This is my giving conditions. HBP 140/90; before meds of 10mg amlodipine, 10 mg Bystolic. (note the current meds reduces HBP (130/80))

I started with the regular store bought vinegar which did no show any results. I then consulted with my son and began usint the ACV mother. It appeared that within the first two weeks of use after re-cleansing or detoxing from my meds that I was feeling fine. Thus my confidence level was rising. I continued using the ACV and then bought larger 32fl oz bottle.

I have learned over time experimenting with different meds, and having done two colonoscopies to determine my gastroencyphlytic(esophageal) spasms to modify and manage my food intake. I say this to give background knowledge on the significance of proper diet and my awareness of food intake, which aids any ailments of the body.
Knowing this I was able to regulate my diet very well with the ACV; however when I bought the second 32fl oz with mother I began experiencing headaches, which is also a symptom of rising blood pressure. The headaches had started to increase at higher frequencies and lasting much longer. It was becoming unbearable, I took my BP with my home equipment and my HBP 150/94. I started to panic and was getting anxiety attacks. Luckily my wife always store the whole cranberries in the freezer to boil and make cranberry tea to minimize and relax the anxiety attacks. I immediately started to retake my meds.

It appeared that the headaches were not going away so I had an emergency visit with my family care physician. MY blood pressure was high HBP 152/96.

I got back on my meds and in two months have a follow up visit.

Although the ACV did not work for me I, would suggest that the readers of this blog follow up and monitor their condition should they notice a change.

Secondly I hope my message will encourage new readers that would like to try ACV to take good notes, understand their symptoms of HBP realizing that ACV may not bring the positive results they are searching for.

Sincerely
Dennis

Did you continue with the acv? Has your bp come down and how did you do it? I'm desperate for a way to reduce my bp naturally. Have been taking 2tbsp 3x/day for one week now with no result. Does it take time in some cases?

I had been borderline high B.P. (145/85)for a number of years. Recently my B.P. really shot up (170/95) -could be because I haven't been feeling well for the last few weeks. Based on what I read on this website, 10 days ago, I started taking 2tbs of ACV 3 times a day. I've been taking organic, unpasteurized, naturally filtered ACV (it doesn't say "with mother" on the bottle but its got that cloudy look with the stuff floating in it). I've been taking it with 8oz of lemonade because I can't stand the taste.(Is it OK to mix ACV with lemonade?) Unfortunately, I haven't seen any improvement. I was wondering if I should give up or give it more time. Other people seem to get immediate results. I was also wondering if it's ok to take it with lemonade. Lastly, I want to know if it makes a difference if you take the ACV after you eat or is it better to take b4 a meal/on an empty stomach. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I read everyone's feedback on how ACV lowered their blood pressure and was so impressed I went out and bought 2 bottles. Took 2 tsp 3 times a day for 3 weeks and it did absolutely nothing to lower my blood pressure. My pressure is still approximately 150/95. I am so disappointed. I truely thought after reading everyone's comments that I finally found a natural remedy that would work. I would love to hear from others that also experinced the same as me and if there are any other natural remedies. Was it perhaps something I did wrong? Should I have given ACV more time to work?

Greetings:

I am rather perplexed by the use of ACV. I have been taking an ounce a day for three years now. I've read where it has helped many people with regulating their blood pressure. I have been using the "most popular brand" of ACV which I purchase at a local health food store. To my dismay, my blood pressure runs around 150/100.

I am 6'2", 270 pounds, mostly muscular in build, don't drink alcohol, don't smoke, eat normal 2000 calorie/day diet, work in a relatively stree free environment, no kids, great marriage, take a variety of vitamins/minerals such as: Vitamins A,C,B-complex, Hawthorne, garlic, cayenne pepper, cinammon and a multiple vitamin for the trace elements. I also take a prescription medication for my BP. Yet, my blood pressure still runs high.

If you would be courteous enough to email me a respone and give me your opinion as to what I may be doing wrong to control my blood pressure, I would truly appreciate it!

Thanks!  Ron

I was very excited to try ACV. One Tablespoon every morning has completely taken away my husband's lactose intolerance and greatly improved acid reflux.

But for my high BP--nothing. It's been going up for three years as I approached and then entered menopause. Now I'm getting consistent upper 140's over 90's and often 150's over 90's and 100's.

I've been doing 2 Tablespoon ____ ACV three times a day for three days, and one Tablespoon three times a day for two days before that. No change for five days. I'm so disappointed.

All that's left is see if time with Grape Seed Extract and Potassium will help. SO far, not even that has, but I've only done all the above for 5 days. I'm also waiting on Ecklonia cava to arrive--brown seaweed with interesting free radical and blood pressure lowering properties.

I have been taking ACV for 3 or 4 weeks and my Blood Pressure is still 155-168/90-100 and is scary. I have headaches and I don't like that. I am Vegan and I exercise 3-4 time a week. No other health problems. Last week I had a Chelation therapy done and it have not help. I will do more.

Any other Remedy. I take Zinc, herb, potassium, Mag. I am tired of taking all this stuff thoughout the day. I think that I am going back to the Dr and start taking the BP medicine.
