Hi Peter I have pterygium in both eyes. I've been using the Acv drops for 6 months now, redness has improved but still have the white blob on my iris. Did yours go completely if so how long did it take?

Hi. I have been using the Apple Cider Vinegar drops for 4 months now though the white blob pterygium is still on my cornea, so far the Apple Cider Vinegar has helped with the redness and irritation but white fleshy part is still on the rim of the iris. How ling did it take for yours to go completely?

Hello Everyone, I feel good after reading all your feedback and real time experience using ACV and getting good results as well. Me too suffering from the same issue from last 2 years it's irritating me hole day and eyes getting red as well still not found any good treatment in India, I would like to make a request here for guide me with how to use ACV and brand name as well so that I can buy same quality, and secondly guide the complete protocol.

please let me know if you need further details as well and I am eagrly waiting for your response, hope I getting good results over here.

Dear Natalie,

Read your post however you did not mention your dilution of the Apple Cider Vinegar and I cannot say for sure what's the cause of it but I've been using the Apple Cider Vinegar drops now for 3 months and so far it has brought so much relief compared to castor oil drops before and the numerous eyedrops my doctor prescribed to me. I feel like my eye with pterygium is so much normal although its still there and slowly fading. Before the Apple Cider Vinegar concoction, my eye was always red, very sensitive and heavy. If it wasn't working it would have been the other way around, right? On the other hand, I cannot speak for you as we have different physical attributes and maybe the Apple Cider Vinegar doesn't work for everyone.

Dear ray, I'm quite pleased with your post. I've tried ACV before but only for 1 wk due to the stinging effect. I couldn't handle it so I shifted to castor oil drops. However, after like 2 months nothing has happened although the condition of my left eye which is affected with pterygium has so much improved. No more dry ans gritty feeling.

Maybe out of frustration I returned to ACV drops just recently like 2 wks ago. To handle the stinging effect I diluted 10 parts distilled water and 1 part ACV. With this dilution I can somehow manage it and my eye is so much normal than before. The pterygium has shrunk a lil bit bit but its still there though. I've actually been documenting my treatment from the very beginning. Taking pictures of my eye during the castor oil and ACV treatment and in the process making comparison. At the moment, the pterygium has reached the cornea a few millimeters. With your wonderful news it has given me hope and maybe the rest of the people here who also suffers from this disease who doesn't want to undergo an operation due to its negative feedbacks from patients. I've tried ACV on my pterygiums with modest success. So I guess I'll try the castor oil and charcoal to see if that helps any. But I did go to the optometrist today for some new reading glasses and I told him about ACV and he just laughed. I then went on to tell him that my local doctor told me that there is no cure for Tinnitus, from which I suffer, ( ringing in the ears. ) But ACV cured that condition in 2 weeks. So I wont be taking too much notice of the optometrist. I had an apendix removed at the hospital a couple of years ago and just prior to being wheeled in for the op a nurse visited me and asked me all kinds of stuff among which was whether I was taking any medications for anything. I told her, no, only multi vitamins and glucosamine and fish oil for my dicky knees, you know? supermarket stuff. She said that theres no evidence that any of that stuff works. I felt like saying but there is plenty of anecdotal. evidence to suggest that the medical pprofession can and will say whatever they like in order to maintain their monopoly of the health care industry.

Hi.. I came across this website searching for cure of my left eye with pterygium the natural way. I'm very much aware of the side effects of corticosteroid prescribed by my ENT so I stopped using it. I didn't wanna have surgery of my eye either. Anyway, came across with the apple cider vinegar phenomena and gave it a shot just two days ago after reading all the positive feedbacks. I followed the ratio of 3:1 (3 parts filtered water: 1 part acv). ( I bought the unfiltered/raw Apple Cider Vinegar at the supermarket.) 1 drop of the solution at 9 am and 1 drop 9 pm and honestly, it hurts like hell at first and my eye turned really red for a few seconds. However, I was overwhelmed of the results. Never had the gritty feeling, burning sensation the whole day today. And the best of all the yellowish tissue somehow faded a lil bit and the blob shrunk I think. I will keep you posted of any updates. Thank you is all I can say to earthclinic. You have given us hope for this intractable disease.

I was following the thread on pterygium/surfer's eye and the use of apple cider vinegar. I have been to the eye doctor 4 times and he has continued to provide Restasis which are drops that are supposed to aid in the eye to regenerate its own tears. I have had very little success with this treatment and decided 2 days ago to get unfilitered ACV. I purchased a small glass vial with a dropper. I also used distilled water and filled the vial with a 3:1 ratio of water to ACV. It does sting quite a bit at first. I have been placing a drop in each eye twice per day. I have to say that even after a couple of days I am very encouraged by the results. Less scratchiness in the eye, clearer vision and even the coloring looks better.

I will continue to post updates as I am trying this treatment.

Yes. I had my left eye pterigium removed. Horrible surgery! It has healed nice though. The surgeon said I had a gross lack of care for my eyes. I wasn't wearing sunglasses.

Now, I do have one in corner of right eye. Someone said the liver is involved. I have a sort of Wilson's Desease with copper problem.

I have resorted to vinegar in a eye dropper. Castor oil which is really soothing. It has been about a month. I will continue this treatments for as long as it takes along with charcoal and sunglasses.

Every morn and evening I do these, and really watch my diet. Not much junk foods.

Peace to the person who figured this stuff out. And maybe I can avoid another nasty surgery with microscopic stitches, which scratch!!!

I've been using ACV for my pterygium for 5 days now and am very happy with the results. It has significantly reduced the redness, although I haven't noticed a reduction in the size yet. I'm wondering if anyone had used this method long-term? Will ACV actually cure the pterygium or is this just a natural way to control the redness and irritation? Thanks in advance!
