I had a recent occurrence over the past two months of a persistent light-grey outlined eye floater in one eye. I tried several protocols but the one that seems to be fading the floater is BROMELAIN, an enzyme derived from pineapple. I will keep you posted.

(I should add that as I have Factor V Leiden, I could be prone to blood clots, thus, I do think eye floaters are likely related, despite what my ophthalmologist believes.)

In confirmation, a poster on another website wrote as follows:

"For eye floaters, eat 100–150 grams fresh Pineapple on a daily basis for at least next 4–5 months. Try to minimize your screen time. I started this 4 months back, my left eye floater has disappeared now and there is a significant improvement in the right eye floater."

Keep in mind that fresh or canned pineapple can induce a rise in glucose levels, so it's advisable for diabetics and those with pre-diabetes (that's most of us over 40, by the way) to avoid consuming it in great quantities.

A recent study points at Pineapple ingested (or bromelain supplements potentially) for a 30% reduction in floaters over a few months.

The dosage is 1-3 slices per day at lunch.
