I had a canker sore on the side of my tongue, which was painful. I tried the ACV as it is quite a cure-all, but it only stung and the sore was still very tender an hour later. I decided to try the asprin remedy - I bit it in half and put the powder on the sore. Within 10 minutes the pain was gone. I am now eating and drinking and can not feel it anymore at all. WOW! I recommend the asprin remedy to cure canker sores!

I cannot believe how well this works! I tried baking soda, Allum, peroxide, OTC ointments, etc. I had a large canker sore that was so painful I couldn't sleep. My glands were swollen and my entire jaw ached from the pain. Reading the other reviews, I decided to try the asprin. The pain relief was immediate!!! I simply let the asprin sit on the canker till it completely disolved. With the pain gone, I was able to sleep and this morning, the pain is still gone. What a miracle! This is the best treatment hands down. There is no pain or stinging to endure, just immediate relief. Thank you for sharing a treatment that works!

Thanks so much for this site! I wish I had it years ago and would have endured a lot less suffering!

I tried the aspirin on the canker and it worked beautifully! I had one between my gum and my lip. I stuck an aspirin on it as per the various ppl's posts and let it sit for about 30 mins. The surrounding skin felt a little funny for awhile but the canker itself seemed to be gone completely. It was definately worth it. It's like it just shriveled up and closed up. Boy what a miracle! This site is a Godsend- thank you everybody!

I was at work and within one hour I went from fine to unable to speak without a lisp, unable to swallow, unable to eat, and in severe pain from my tongue down through my throat. The culprit was what I call a canker sore on the side of my tongue. I looked up remedies on this site and had planned to use the apple cider vinegar, but could not find any. However, I did have some baby aspirin. I used one 81mg baby aspirin and held it on the sore for as long as it lasted. I felt much, much better, but still had some irritation. I used another baby aspirin on it before I went to bed and by morning, NO PAIN at all!

I have used apple cider vinegar to sooth a mouth sore on my tongue...but the most helpful remedy was dissolving an asprin in water and letting it soak. If you can stand the bitterness, the relief is amazing.

Cure for canker sore. Finally after 25 years of trying different products/natural remedies/prescription drugs, I have found the only things that has worked for me to take the pain away from canker sore. Last week, I had a very large sore on my inner lip which was causing me extreme pain to the point were I couldn't eat or talk. I decided to crush a baby Aspirin and put it on my sore for 10 minutes before eating dinner and 10 more minutes at bed time. Well, to my complete disbelief, the pain was gone and never came back. Right afer the application I looked at my sore and it was covered with a white film of skin like materiel. It was almost like if the Aspirin had cauterized my canker sore and burnt the nerves in and around it. The sore took a few more days to heal completely but the pain never came back. That is by far the most wonderful product that I have ever used for canker sore. I can't believe I have suffered for so many years before finding that treatment. Word of advice though. The acid in the Asprin could probably burn your gum, skin inside the mouth if you kept it in your mouth overnight. Don't use it longer than 10-15 minutes but please try it. It works big time.

I tend to get ulcers on the roof of my mouth. Salt water helped somewhat, but I happened to read Dr. "You, the owner's manual." It was advised to take 81 mg. baby aspirin daily. I wish I'd have done it sooner. Haven't had any ulcers since.

Aspirin is best remedy for soothing canker sores. I have been suffering from a canker sore for 2 days and just got so overwhelmed with the pain that I couldn't take it anymore. I used OTC medicines, but none really helped. I found this site and tried Alum first. It hurt a lot, but helped for about 20 minutes. The pain came back, but worse. After suffering for awhile I tried Apple Cider Vinegar. That hurt a lot too, and seemed to be helping, but again the pain returned. Finally I tried making the aspirin paste, and now my sore only hurts a little bit. The aspirin is definitely the best soothing agent for me. I hope this helps convince others to try it as well.

I crushed one aspirin tablet in a shot glass, added a few drops of water and let it sit for a few minutes. I then spread the paste on the sore, which is on the roof of my mouth. I tried to keep the area dry as possible, and so bit down on a wash cloth to soak up my saliva. After 10 minutes I noticed a definite change in the amount of pain I had, and 10 more minutes gave me complete relief.

This little remedy was a miracle for me. I had been suffering from a canker sore for days and nothing worked. Not even medication. I came across this website and I tried the Aspirin paste. I cut an aspirin in half, crushed the aspirin got a q-tip and rubbed it on and left it for about 30 min. After 30 min it was instant pain relief. The next morning I felt much better and the canker sore was smaller. I truly recommend this remedy it worked Miracles for me and I have tried many different remedies and this worked the best.

This really did work and on the first try - I googled this today at work and as soon as I arrived home I went to get some asprin, but only had an Advil Liquid Gel. So I chose to try this method and it also worked. With only ONE liquid Gel capsule I let it dissolve into my mouth. With the saliva that accumulated in my mouth over the few minutes (3 - 5 min) I used the Advil to work as a mouth wash.... and Wa La... It worked. Thanks to the others as well. I can now feel comfortable again.
