Use baby aspirin instead. Has the same outcome but because of the lower dose, there is a smaller chance of tissue injury. Works like a charm every time for me and I leave mine until it is completely dissolved. An added bonus is that it tastes so much better than plain aspirin.

After dealing with my first canker sore for at least five days I really needed to try something to ease the pain. After checking EarthClinic like I usually do, I decided to crush an aspirin and set the powder underneath my tongue on the sore for roughly ten minutes. Then poof! It’s gone. I don’t even see the sore there anymore. Quite amazing. Had to share.

Aspirin on a painful canker sore DOES work! Surprisingly so.

Hi!

I've used aspirin for canker sores. It helps with pain and swelling and yes, it's an antiviral. Just don't leave the aspirin on the sore for very long. I once left an aspirin on a sore overnight and it really tore up my mouth. Even 5-10 minutes is enough time for the aspirin to do its work. Then repeat every few hours as needed. A charcoal tablet is a safer overnight remedy for a canker sore. Just FYI.

Thumbs up for the aspirin cure, I just put the aspirin on the tongue as close as I could get to the sore. Within two hours the pain had lessened and next day it was nearly gone. I also tried ACV but it was uncomfortable and didn’t do much for me.

I love Earthclinic!

I had several canker sores that developed from being in the dental office for over 3 hours. I tried apple cider vinegar, hydrogen peroxide, dental gel and nothing worked. Then I tried aspirin and it was the only thing that gave me pain relief.

I left it in my mouth for approximately 10 minutes. I highly recommend it.

Aspirin for mouth sores and cuts:

I chew a fresh aspirin until it dissolves in saliva, then swirl it in the mouth for a while and finally spit it out. Works great. Avoid apple cider vinegar, it gave me sores after a while.

Aspirin worked very well, thank you. I used about 25-50mg aspirin each time and placed this directly on the mouth ulcer (canker).

When I am under stress I tend to get canker sores. I have tried many remedies over the years. It is wonderful that there are so many natural remedies for these things!

Recently when I had a canker sore, I decided to try aspirin just to see how well the remedy worked. I love that aspirin can be bought nearly anywhere and it is very inexpensive.

I took an aspirin and placed it against the sore and let it slowly dissolve. I did this a few times during the day and also overnight. Not only did the aspirin cure the canker sore, it brought great relief to the pain.

You can get a bottle of 100 aspirin for a dollar. So this remedy costs a penny per application. What a deal! :)

I had a canker sore on the side of my tongue, which was painful. I tried the ACV as it is quite a cure-all, but it only stung and the sore was still very tender an hour later. I decided to try the asprin remedy - I bit it in half and put the powder on the sore. Within 10 minutes the pain was gone. I am now eating and drinking and can not feel it anymore at all. WOW! I recommend the asprin remedy to cure canker sores!
