WOW, allergy-induced sinus and upper respiratory infection feels better after just 1 tbs ACV w. honey in water plus ACV & Eucalyptus steam. I will keep this up! Also going to go on Ted's common sense and easy to use "allergy buster" diet. Will it help me tolerate the gorgeous oak trees around my house? We'll see but so far, I'm SO GRATEFUL for the reader feedback on the ACV. It helped me try this folk remedy, which so far is helping a lot. THANKS ALL.

I am in my early twenties and over the past 3-4 years I developed severe allergies. The cause of the allergies was difficult to pin down, but one major culprit was the dust mite. In addition to respiratory symptoms I also found myself breaking out severely with eczema on my face, hands, arms, shoulders, and occasionally other spots. The breakouts would come and go, I could never fully figure out how to get them under control and did not want to rely on harsh steriodal ointments and medications. About a year and a half ago I began to drink apple cider vinegar after having read about it on earthclinic. I would take about 2 tablespoons twice a day diluted in juice and water, sometimes tea. I am convinced that without the ACV my severe breakouts would still be going on. They have not completely stopped but the difference is like night and day. Whenever I accidentally skip a dose or two or ACV I can see my skin becoming worse. Thank the heavens for ACV it has been like a miracle. I cannot as readily attest to whether it has aided me with other health issues.

ACV for allergies and Sinus issues, I'm presently in a shack in the mountains with 2 hairy dogs going out of my brain with hangover feeling/scratchy eyes/mucus and sinus issues (this is whilst eating pure organic food ACV bicarb etc). Last night before bed i felt compelled to sniff diluted ACV up my nose, (swimming pool effect)-desperate. Upon waking I still felt groggy, repeated the solution and within 10 minutes my head and nose cleared. It's going to be a good day. Thanks Earth Clinic x

I had a bad reaction to ACV. I tried it for allergies, and I got an extremely itchy nose and throat and started wheezing with asthma symptoms. If you are allergic to apples...... I decided I must be, you could try white vinegar for the allergy treatment. I hope it will work for me.

I love using 2 cups of white vinegar in a hot bath. My skin is looking much better and not itchy. I have little white spots on my skin and I'm trying to get rid of that! Hopefully this will work.... I'll write about it in a few months.....yea or nay!

I tried Apple Cider Vinegar for my allergies but it did not work at all. I had the recommended amount but I had no results, in fact my allergies are worse now :(. Maybe it's just one of those things that doesn't work for me.

I'm allergic to everything under the sun pretty much and have had to take medications all my life for it. Nothing has ever worked and so I have to function in a constant zombie like state because I'm really sensative to the medication and still on the bad days I don't sleep and can't do anything because of the nonstop sneezing. I remembered this site from a while ago and tried the ACV and the honey.

What I did:
Twice a day -
1) I mix 2 tablespoons of all natural ACV into about 6-8 ounces of all natural apple juice (I use the apple juice as a remedy for my asthma already), the apple juice makes the taste easier to drink and makes for less burning of the throat. If you're having an allergy attack, your throat is raw from all the sneezing and the ACV can sting a bit, using the apple juice really helps.
2) I spread a tiny bit of peanut butter on a slice of wheat bread and then spread 1 to 1 1/2 tablespoons of honey (not local) and eat that. I do this to a) help kill the taste of the ACV and b) to avoid the upset stomach feeling that can happen when you swallow that much honey by itself. If you're allergic to peanuts, use a jam or the bread alone.

My results:
I started it the night (late at night) of a very bad allergy attack that had been going on for 2 days, within one hour I wasn't "cured" but I could breathe and wasn't sneezing as much. That night I slept with no problems and did not take any further allergy medicines. It has been a week and a day since then and I've been following the above routine the entire time without taking a single pill. I can now go out and not get sick for 3 days afterwards, which used to happen everytime I left the house. I have severe allergies and the ACV and honey have worked wonders for me even when the air quality is really bad.

Added benefits:
Since starting with the ACV - I have lost 2 pounds and a few inches from my waistline. And my Psoriasis is flaring up less severely (I also treat with ACV on the skin for this). Acne is no longer! And scares I have had for a while as well as new ones are lighter. Plus my skin over all is more even toned.

Asthma Benefit: I drink about 2 glasses of apple juice a day to help prevent asthma attacks and general asthma issues for my severe asthma. Since adding the ACV I find that the benefit works even better and I can breathe clearer and use my inhalor less.

Ive always had a dry nose, but it never really bothered me. Then at the beginning of the spring I developed awful allergies. In New Mexico we have some of the highest pollen rates in the US. I was sleeping about 12 hours a day and was constantly nauseous for 2 weeks. I thought I was just really sick and since I don't have insurance I went to my college health clinic and was told it was allergies. They told me to get some over the counter drugs to fix this. And since I'm cheap I decided to do some research. I found earth clinic and tried ACV. Two days later no allergies. I was amazed of how well it worked and suggested it to a few of my co- workers who also loved it. At first I tried the heinz which worked and later on decided to opt for Brag. Now I only take it about every 2 weeks. Thanks Earth clinc for keeping me off drugs.

For the past few years I have had both indoor and outdoor allergies that have seemed to become progressively worse. Over-the-counter drugs did little if anything to alleviate my symptoms. I eventually went to an allergist who prescribed various medications; none of these had any positive effects lasting more than a day. I have been drinking 2 tbspns of ACV mixed with about 1 cup water once roughly every day. I would estimate that this has reduced my symptoms by about half. Today I am beginning to up my intake to two drinks a day and monitor the effects. THANKS!!

Allergies: I have been on Claritin then Arieus for a 5 of years now. I found that Arieus to be weakening so I wanted to try alternative remedies as I don't like the "steroid" nasal sprays. ACV seems to to work so far as I have not used any drugs yet since mid March. I have only tried 1/2 to 1 table spoon with 1/2 tbl spoon of honey in warm water. (Used 1/2 cup of cold to mix with ACV then 1/2 cup of boiling to melt honey, then mix to get "warm" drink) I have not used baking soda yet as I am still not adventurous about a chemical reaction happening in my stomach that is not normal. I found a side benefit of ACV usage is it suppresses the onset of a cold and I have not been sick due to cold or flu yet. I know the cold is there but it is not going into full swing. I also use a straw to prevent the ACV corrupting teeth so thanks to a poster for that. (always good to read all comments) I will try this remedy for a year and report back in 10 months.
